I'm tempted to join but I don't know which character to use; you guys prefer an introverted, talented technical flyer or a petite sassy unicorn with strong telekinesis?

Id agree with unicorn. There arent very many unicorns around. Most are pegasi.

So when does this start, and should I app up another OC?

Starts on March 11 or when we receive 10 OCs. We have 6 right now (well actually technically 7).

I'm only accepting one OC per person in this episode. I would accept a second one if we were short on sign-ups, but we're not that short and we still have 3 or so days.

Lovinity was flying around CloudsDale gathering up the early morning clouds to prepare for a sunny day. The clouds disappeared exposing the bright warm sunrise across Equestria. She looked down to see the ponies waking up and coming out of their houses.

These role plays are simple and will always be in the free-for-all, and will almost always be open for free jump-ins. No applications required!

These type of role plays, I feel, would be great for newbies, since they're very open-handed and not extensive.

General Plot:

Gamer eh? I make pinball games for PC haha . I've stopped for a while because of college... well wouldn't say stopped but really slowed down.

Ideas have come and gone of a My Little Pony pinball game. One big problem: Copyright.

First off, it is obvious we'd have to pay royalty to do such a thing and get Hasbro's permission. But there's an added problem... the software I use to make pinball games makes it illegal to sell any of your pinball games for profit.

I felt the same way when I was had just became a brony. Here's what I did. So I started just making friends normally and just slipping in little inside jokes and references to the show just to see if anyone would catch on. As luck would have it two did. After a while I did come out and say it but just don't go overboard with it and you should be fine. Also I'm not quite sure how one can simply stop being a brony. I tried to not watch the show for 2 weeks because of a bet I lost and I went into a slight depression.

I agree with pretty much all advice shared here in this forum and don't have much to add. I was afraid at first to admit to brony as well... but... I can't even remember how I first admitted it... it just happened and people know now hehe . BTW come to know it my girlfriend watched it sometimes, mum found it very cute, and my college radio station people said there's another DJ who's a hardcore Brony. Still have not managed to get in contact with him.

yeah 72 hr should be quite fine, just incase of those rare times i dont get a moment, also like to note that between April 11-16 might not post at all, i will be moving and may not have any internet

If I change it to 72 hours to respond, but still keep the 2 characters in play thing, would that work?

FYI forgot to tell you that if you end up being the thief your position will be the last one on the list... but that doesn't necessarily mean you'll be the last to post since 2 characters will be in play at the same time.

Thank you all so much for your assistance! I'm excited for the new changes with Lovinity... which I'll carry over not just here at Canterlot.com but other places on the internet that Lovinity is at. Definitely a learning experience. I'm glad I didn't give up

Oh and BTW I think I'll keep Lovinity in CloudsDale and not move her back to Ponyville when ready... it'd be too much of a hassle for Lovinity and me. Plus come to think of it, if she lives in CloudsDale it might be easier for her to fly to certain places.

I like the Idea of a maze. And as for posting, I like the order thing, maybe changing it slightly as we learn how it works. I also wanted to say that focusing on the cutie marks sounds awesome, but who every becomes the 'maze master' should learn as much as they can about everybodys cutie marks so that the maze can have puzzles for everyone.

The maze, does your idea suggest maybe that to solve the maze each pony must use his/her talent to solve a section of the maze?

Now that you say it, it does look that way. But I think by cutie mark powers I think it meant more along the lines of the special tilent rather than super magic. Get what I am saying? I didn't know how to word it.

If that is the case, that cutie marks simply determine a pony's talent and not magical power, then that is fine in the RP

Let's see if this works better, again my OC, Darkness Eclipsed () and as for an idea I suggest, similar to first episode of MLP: FiM, that we use our Cutie mark "powers" to save the filly. as for the section involving my CT mark, i suggest a maze.

Unless you can correct me, I personally dislike the idea of cutie mark powers.

If youre referring to the very first episode of MLP, those weren't cutie mark powers; they were Elements of Harmony, which for now for this RP the elements are too over powering... Way too over powering.

Same with Discord episode, that was the Elements again, not cutie marks.

The idea of a maze to find and free the Filly sounds okay but not original; it sounds much alike Discord episode going through maze to get (supposedly get) the Elements.

I thank you for input though.

I personally think my original idea will cause the role play to go too slow, so everyone please feed back:

1) Keep the structure as-is

2) Keep the structure but have 2 characters in play at any given time

3) All people are allowed to make one post per day

4) Something else (please let me know what)

The rest of your app's content looks fine by me. However, it would be great if you can reformat your CM, history, and summary fields so that there are spaces between each paragraph. That way, your app looks nicer to read.

Actually I'd say I'm quite finished WIP-ing this application. I've decided that Lovinity's home will be Ponyville.

She used to be in Canterlot, but I've determined she doesn't fit there.

I would have considered CloudsDale, but if Lovinity's main occupation is to interact with other ponies in a sweet loving way, I felt Ponyville would be better.

So, the only two things that have not been touched on yet are the residence (up here), and also her wing power which I've added but haven't received comment on it.

As of right now, I have her set for 3.1 average wing power, and 10.5 max wing power. She's meant to be fast, but not "very" fast. She has had a few instances in the free-for-all of going too fast and running into trees and buildings haha.

Other than that, this application is ready for approval.

EDIT: I made a tiny revision to character summary. I felt there were too many "alsos" in it, so I removed most of them.

Uhh, I'm not sure what you mean by "shredding tears of joy"; you mean normal joyous tears or more of a large torrent of tears?

Normal joyous tears is what I meant. If it confused you then it probably needs to be re-worded. I'll see what I can do. Do you have any suggestions?

EDIT: I've considered saying "liquid pride" but discarded that idea because Shining Armour used that term.

EDIT 2: For future reference, maybe I should add this to her character section but whenever Lovinity cries, it's a gentle cry... she doesn't ever have "hard cries".

Wait... everyone I forgot about crossovers. What do you think about hosting this RP in crossovers? You still don't need an application to participate, but I've been informed that a structured role play that wouldn't have the exact restrictions of WOE might be best in Crossovers.

I appreciate that. I think I'll accept any character who wants to sign up but there will be guidelines about the use of magic... for example only Unicorns and Alicorns may use magic. Unicorns magic must be very limited. Alicorns must only use powerful magic when absolutely necessary... and must not be "instant problem solver" type magic. Etc. I'll try to simplify guidelines.
