"That is how it appears, but I'll ask once more. Why is this relevant to the case? Why does all of this matter? We've spent so much time on tearing apart Time Spinner's room and finding these items. There is a way to tie this case with the ring, I know it, but what is that tie?" Aselia asked once more. She also was tryin to figure this out. She didn't know the answer to this question either.

Aselia nodded. "Indeed, I can sense a hint of Time Spinner's magic on it, like he was levitating it with a lot of force. Seems like he was holding it for a long period of time, or perhaps he was holding because he was nervous, that would make sense considering...the type of pony that he is." She turned to the other two. "So after talking about it for so, and with all the pieces in front of you, let's ask the question. Why is this important? Do you think that this has anything to do with the case?"

With 8 days left until season 4, I've decided to get back to work and at least try to finish season 1 in my reviews. We're going by a new system now, which is the old one. If you've read my review of Turnabout Storm, it's gonna be like that, except not as emotional. So let's get on with the show! Fun fact: Over the barrel is the first episode that I watched on Television, it was the 11th episode I watched. Does that mean I'm going to go easy on it? No. Let's be honest here, Over the Barrel isn't the best episode of all time. It has it's charms but it over stays in welcome and there isn't enough in this episode for me to enjoy. While I love the inclusion of the buffalo, and appleloosa, there are also things that I do despise about the episode. Giving us a new location of appleloosa is pretty good. I love the old western feel that this episode pulls off, and I don't know if it could have done the same thing in a location of, say; ponyville. It reminds of older TV shows that always had that one episode that took place in the wild west, where all the characters were different and didn't know each other, but they were still the same characters that they were in the normal episode. The 'weapons' that the ponies of appleloosa used were quite humorous, I loved the apple pie throwing, it really reminded me of some older shows, but it also reminded me of clowns...I don't like clowns. One thing I don't like is the story. The story of this all isn't very likable for me, it's not something I find myself watching with bated breath. I find it quite boring, and I would of liked it to have gone in other directions then the ones it did. Pinkie's share song helped with the story, but it just wasn't enough. I don't like braeburn. I know a lot of people really like him as a side character, and a lot of people put him in some of the grossest ships I know. (Braemac and Appleburn.) Personally I find him very un likable and down right annoying at times. I will give him the 'mild west dances" joke though. I found that very funny. Overall this episode is decent, at best. It has it's charming moments but overall I don't think it does anything. It makes my do-not-watch list and it's overall one of the worst episodes I've watched in season 1. That's not bad, mind you, the worst episode of mlp is in season 2, and there aren't many bad episodes in season 1. It still is one of my least favorite episodes though, and with all of this in mind, I give Over a Barrel, my reviewer rating of a 6/10. This has been Neo Reviews, thanks for reading.

Gadget shook his head. "For most of the time, I just thought that he was going to some other boring place, like the quill shop, or the parchment store. He's older than Swift Blitz and me, so it wasn't really our place to question where he went." Gadget told them. "Though...if he went to the library then he went to be around the librarian, right?"

Oh steam, you fill my heart, and empty my wallet... Oh yeah, welcome to canterlot, Night!

"No, like I said, she's fairly new to the library, and the royal guard has everything I need to read." Swift Blitz said. "Not to mention, Gadget only reads manuals, the only person here who would read from the library is Time Spinner."

"...he mentioned the librarian at the Canterlot Library. She's about Time's age, maybe a little younger, she took over just recently. Time Spinner mentioned a few other things about her but I don't remember them all." Swift Blitz told the two. Gadget looked up. "That would explain why he told me he was going out all the time."

Gadget shook his head. "After Lyra, he didn't really talk to any mare in a romantic way." Swift Blitz however looked very conflicted. "Well...he mentioned one mare but..."

Gadget and Swift Blitz gave blank stares. "Well...what do you want to know?" Swift Blitz asked. Questions: Did you know Time went to the library? Did Time Spinner spend any time with any other mares? Other...

Aselia stared at the shiny object in dis-belief. "A...a ring? I thought it was going to be some type of weapon, or perhaps a note of some sort. Well there goes that idea." She trotted around the room,, pondering and thinking out loud. "A ring...why would Time Spinner need a ring? Why would he hide it in the vase? Was he going to propose to his marefriend? Something doesn't seem right." She turned towards the investigation team. "There's traces of Time Spinner's magic on it. We know he levitated it, we just need some more information. Why don't you ask these two about Time Spinner." She pointed to Swift Blitz and Gadget.

There was a glint at the bottom, like something was glowing down at the bottom of the vase. Aselia keeps her cocky grin. "Why don't you go ahead and pull it up." If what was in there was what she thought it was, then they would have an answer to this case. Alas it would result in Time Spinner's guilty verdict but at least they would finally be done with this case, and maybe they could move on to other things in life.

"Yes, you put flowers in a vase. Now then, answer me this; what do you call the school of art that creates vases?" Aselia looked rather pleased with herself. "Because if I remember correctly; vases are in pottery. Time Spinner owns this book, so why did he check it out from the library? Because he was meeting a mare there, a mare who has to do with with one of three things; Pottery, vases, or flowers." Aselia turned away from the window sill. "Winter, empty the vase."

Aselia shook her head. "I've already checked with my magic, there's only pages of the book in here. Time never sent mail through his raven because she was meant for business purposes only. He sent it in person or through the canterlot post in case somepony got their hooves all over it. This book connects to the letter and gives us a clue as to who it's meant for. You only have to answer one question...or perhaps you simply have to ask one question." Aselia gave a sneaky look at the plant on the window sill. "What do you put flowers in?"

On the quill and parchment pattern bed was a small lump, a book by the looks of it. Aselia picked it up and began to look through it. "It's just a book, probably just something from..." She stops mid sentence and looks at the spine, stares at it for a bit, then opens it up to the back. There is a time-in, time-out card. The spine has a pattern on it, with a seal from the Canterlot Library. "This is odd. Defense team..." She hands Winter the book. "...I want you to tell me why this is so odd. What about this book is weird to find in Time Spinner's room?" She says with a crooked smile.

Aselia shook her head. "Nevermore does almost all of the messaging in this house. She sends the letters everywhere, but most of them are in the middle of the night, and are requests for books and other objects of the like. Time Spinner wouldn't use Nevermore to send personal messages. Whenever he sends a letter to his mother, he uses the Canterlot post office, he never once has sent Nevermore for personal reasons. More than likely Time delivered these letters himself..."

"Time...has never been one to talk about his personal life..." Swift said very hesitantly. "He's always working, and the only times we've seen him out of the house were on special occasions, grocery shopping, or when he visits our mother. He doesn't really talk to anypony, unless he met her through work, but not many young mares trot through that door, and the ones that do are already married." Gadget shrugged. "There was this one time we went down to ponyville for a science convention. We met a mare there who was extremely into anthropology, and Time really enjoyed her company but she was already in a relationship...with another mare. The two haven't talked since that week." Aselia shook her head. "During school, Time and I only used to talk when we were in the library, or working together on a project. He never seemed to like making friends and he very rarely dated. Which is odd for him, he's a sucker for romance but he never really got into dating." Aselia looked at the note again."The inks fairly fresh though, it had to have been recently written. I wonder...if Nevermore knows something, if only birds could talk."

Also don't worry about being defective, one of my characters is a good friend of one.

Aselia walks towards the drawer. "What's this?" She plucks out a piece of paper. "Interesting, Time Spinner wasn't one to leave papers lying about, he always kept them in his desks." She reads the letter and his eyes glow with knowledge. "Well he had good reason to keep it hidden, it seems this is a love letter of some kind." She hands the paper to Mr.Gene. "Time Spinner was seeing a mare?!" The grey pegasus called out in wonder. "That's so awesome! No wonder he was so mello lately, his lady friend helped calm him down!" "Gadget...if Time Spinner was seeing that mare, and still plans on it, then we need to find more evidence." The purple pegasus told her brother. Her voice was very authoritative, like one of a guard, but was soft when she spoke, like she was dreading something. "Blitzy is right, we need to find more evidence. Defense Team, perhaps you might find something in the other parts of his room. There doesn't seem to be anything in this drawer anymore."

Aselia nodded. "In this room, there should be some evidence. Don't be afraid to go looking through Time's drawers. He keeps most of his clothes in another room. His desk might hold some promise too. If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask me." (Investigation mode!)

The only REA character I have is Swift Blitz, but she needs to be played more. I was thinking about starting a RP in which all these guards are on duty but it's a really slow day so we can see what adventures come up from that, but I still need to work on the plot.
