  1. I was just thinking that maybe we should make a pony adoption thread. I don't expect it would be frequently visited, but it might perhaps benefit those who do not frequently use certain characters. It may also benefit those who would like a role playing character, but have trouble creating one themselves. Just a suggestion, thought I'd voice my opinion! ^^ ~Lucky
  2. Yeah, I suppose that could be the reason. =P Thanks for the comment!
  3. Yay! I was told the proportions were off on this one, and I agree. It should be obvious that I don't draw often. =P Anyways, I really do like how she came out, and I hope you do too! I probably won't end up coloring this one, but for anyone who wants to draw her (I know Puck expressed interest in this), her pelt is white, her mane and tail is sky blue, her eyes are a reddish purple, and the scarf (optional) is striped with Violet and White.
  4. Lucky's ears perked as soon as she heard Cat talk about her art. The young foal smiled excitedly. "You're an artist? I am too! Well, I try to be... it's just that my cutie mark hasn't shown up yet, and I figured it would by now. Oh well... at least it's something I enjoy," she said. Lucky glanced quickly up at the painting just above the fireplace; it was one she had painted when she was younger, of her family's home in Cloudsdale. It was a little rough, but at least a pony could make out what it was. She nervously pointed it out to Cat and smiled. "See?" Lucky giggled at Violet, and smiled brightly at her comments. "Oh, I know you're not a bad pony, Violet. You might look a little uhm... scary, but you're fun to be around." Lucky paused and shuffled her hooves in front of her in a timid manner. "Oh, you... you'd scare bullies? That's so brave of you... I uh... I used to have a bully problem in Cloudsdale. It got so bad that my parents decided to pull me from flight school. So we moved here to Ponyville... and you know what? I'm kind of glad we did," Lucky said, smiling at the ponies who shared her company.
  5. Alright, my narration is done! Keep in mind that this is the first time I've ever done any sort of writing like this. Not to mention this is my first time ever writing as one of the mane six- let alone all of them. So go easy on me! Nah, I'm just kidding, you can critique the hell out of it if you want. xD And also a note- I am not playing as my character Lucky. I am playing me, but I just decided to use the name Lucky. It sounded better than Alex. =P Anyways, hope you enjoy! EDIT: Oh, and there is shipping, but it's VERY mild, and it's mostly me just having fun with the characters. =P https://docs.google.com/document/d/16ef ... =CMe8zPYC#
  6. Lucky Breeze smiled at Violet. "Oh, I like it too! It's just... my parents treat me like a younger foal, even though I'm quite a ways through school. But I still don't have my cutie mark, so..." Lucky paused and spaced out for a moment. When Vi mentioned spooking other ponies in the dark, the pegasus giggled nervously. "Just... don't scare me, okay?" she pleaded, although she trusted the other pony based on her first impressions. She may have looked a bit spooky, but seemed incredibly friendly. Lucky smiled, knowing she had no regrets of letting these ponies into her home. The pegasus yawned, but covered her muzzle with her hooves to hide it. She was tired, yes, and her parents would want her in bed at this hour. But there was something about these other ponies; Lucky felt very comfortable around them. And while her parents had their rules, the little one was growing up. She would have to make her own rules eventually. With her new friends- yes, friends- it made the task much less daunting.
  7. Off to Florida, brb! =P I'll be back- hopefully with some writing to share!

I didn't know how to react when you first said you were leaving; how does one say goodbye to a friend? I'm glad you decided to stay, Ruq. *hugs tight* I hold no grudge and I'm just happy to see you back.
  9. Lucky Breeze eyed the ice cream anxiously. She couldn't help it; her parents didn't allow her to have too many sweets. "Oh, you're welcome, Sherbert," she replied meekly. She smiled just slightly. It took a lot for Lucky to open up to other ponies, but these ones were seemed nice enough, and Lucky certainly considered herself a good judge of character. When Violet called Cat 'Miss Goggles', Lucky just had to giggle. Lucky spoke up after Cat was done talking. "Oh, I think... it's supposed to last into the late night. My parents are on clean-up duty tonight to get rid of the clouds. They uh... they told me to go to bed early tonight. I'm not allowed to stay up too late..." Lucky said. It wasn't her fault that her parents sheltered her so. Due to the bullies she had in flight school, they moved from Cloudsdale to Ponyville. Lucky understood why they kept her on the straight and narrow, but she still wished she could live a normal life. "I guess, uhm... since you're all here though, I'll stay up to make sure... n-nothing happens. N-not that you ponies would do anything bad! Th-that came out wrong..." Lucky said, and she shuffled her hooves shyly. "Well, while you're here... would you like anything to eat or drink? I don't think my parents would be too thrilled with you eating all our food... but, I'm a growing gal, they'll understand," she said with a giggle.
  10. Lucky Breeze raised a brow at the multi-colored pony as she asked if her cart could be brought in from the rain. "Oh, uhm, I don't know... wait, is that ice cream? Pft, yeah! Bring it in!" Lucky said excitedly. She then turned to face the purple one. "I'm Lucky Breeze," she replied shyly. There was something about her that made Lucky a bit wary. Not to mention the spider; even though it was fake, it still freaked her out. Lucky finally faced the other pony who had entered her home. "Oh, it's okay... uhm, I couldn't possibly leave you out there in the rain. My parents would understand." I hope... Hopefully, the storm would only last a couple of hours. Then again, the young pegasus was glad to have some company, even if they weren't her age. After the four of them had made their way into the house, Lucky stood in front of them and spoke up as best she could. "So uhm... I'm Lucky Breeze. Luckily... hehe... my home was nearby. So you're welcome to stay for a while... just uhm, be careful? I guess... sorry, I'm not used to having guests. But it's nice to meet all of you..." she said. Lucky closed the front door, and realized that her painting was still hidden behind it. She grabbed it and stuffed it, as well as her other painting supplies, into a nearby closet. She made her way over towards the rest of the group and sat nearby. She felt a bit out of place... but at least there was ice cream! Hopefully the brightly colored pony would let her have some.
  11. "I uh... I volunteer at the weather factory. And I kinda helped make this storm..." she mumbled. "A-anyways, it doesn't matter, you should come inside." Just as Lucky spoke those words, two more ponies came towards them. She couldn't possibly invite all of them into her home... could she? But then again, she couldn't turn them away. Lucky wondered what her parents would think, if they saw who she had invited into their home. But it was unsafe outside, and she didn't have a choice. "Y-you should all come inside," she said, and she opened the door and waved them in. She quickly hid her new painting behind the door way and moved her painting supplies towards the end of the room. She felt nervous with all these older ponies around. Not to mention that they were strangers. But Lucky Breeze viewed this as an opportunity to help her become less reserved... hopefully it wouldn't backfire.
  12. Just a little more green, aaand... there, perfect! Well... maybe not perfect, but it's definitely an improvement over last time... Lucky Breeze had just added the finishing touches to her painting of Ponyville. It definitely looked more detailed than her previous attempt. Again, it wasn't perfect, but Lucky knew she was getting somewhere. She smiled as she set her brush down in a small bucket of water by her side. She smiled brightly at the painting. But then it began to rain. Oh, how could I have forgotten! I knew they were schedulling a rainstorm, I work at the weather factory... Lucky quickly grabbed her painting and rushed towards her house, which was thankfully close by. She set it down near the door way and inspected it; the rain had ruined parts of the sky, but Lucky had become good enough to where she could fix those imperfections with little effort. The foal quickly rushed outside to grab the rest of her supplies. She carefully balanced the easel on her back, and carried her water bucket and paint pallete on her back. It didn't take long for her to rush them back home. She simply set them on the floor inside; her parents weren't home so she could organize them later. At the moment, she just wanted to get cleaned off, so she headed back out into the rain to wash the many colors from her white pelt. As she stood under the gently falling rain, Lucky noticed a pony was coming her way. Though Lucky was intentionally having herself a shower, she figured that this other pony might not enjoy the rain. "H-hey!" she called. "You should come inside. This storm is supposed to get pretty bad..." She motioned her towards her house, but stayed outside to rid the rest of the paint from her still blank flank.
  13. "Aww..." Blueblaze said, feigning disappointment. He chuckled as she nudged his nose, and batted at her hoof playfully. When Djemba mentioned getting to know each other better, Blue froze. He just wasn't good at this sort of thing; it made him rather nervous. And with the look the mare had on her face, it didn't make it any easier for Blue. "Thanks for the oatmeal," he mumbled, hoping some sort of question would come to mind. "Socializing isn't exactly my strongsuit, Djemb... sorry," he said softly. "But uhm, maybe if we just took a trot? I'm sure it would clear my head. Oh, and don't forget the instruments," he said with a smile. Music had always put Blueblaze at ease, and it would hopefully make things a little less awkward between both of them.
  14. Lucky Breeze internally let out a sigh of relief; she figured that the trick couldn't be too hard to pull off on the ground, but she knew she'd have difficulty with it in midair. Besides, she didn't want to be insensitive; it almost didn't seem fair that she could fly and the other ponies couldn't. As Star Chaser asked the foals to follow her, Lucky picked up her hooves and pursued the Wonderbolt. She didn't have any trouble keeping up, but the manuevers were a little difficult for her. She slowed down a little to keep pace with Star Chaser not too far behind. When she was sure she had the hang of it, Lucky looked over her shoulder at Starlight. Seeing the foal trying so hard to keep up and flapping his wings as fast as he could, it put a smile on her face. She remembered that stage in her life; of course, she was quite a bit younger then... Not paying attention to the obstacles in front of her, Lucky stumbled a little, but quickly regained her balance. She figured that it was probably best if she kept her concentration completely on the trick, but it worried her that Starlight wouldn't be able to keep up, with his awkward way of galloping. So she slowed her speed a little to let the young foal catch up. It also made the maneuvers much easier for Lucky. At least she was getting some practice in this department; she used to think flying was all about speed, but learning with a Wonderbolt as a mentor showed that coordination was just as important.
  15. I totally approve of this pairing. I really liked this part and I have a feeling that the next will be even better. I also really like the way you play Twilight; it'd be really awesome if you could focus as much on her as you do on Nimbus. Anyways, well done, totally looking forward to the next part! =)
  16. Blueblaze was immediately brought back to reality as Djemba placed a bowl of oatmeal in front of him. "Looks great, thanks Djemb," he said with a grin. As soon as Blue took a bite, he smiled happily. "Now that hits the spot! You'd make a great chef. Wait... what if you actually are a chef, like in secret? Are you sure those drumsticks on your cutie mark aren't chopsticks?" he asked, obviously just being silly. "I'm kidding, but... this is really good. It's much tastier than the stuff back home," he said. Blueblaze chuckled as he watched Djemba going at it with her oatmeal. She must have really worked up an appetite at the concert last night. Of course, Blue was rather hungry himself... but wow, that mare could eat! The colt finished most of his oatmeal, and then nudged his bowl towards the center of the table. "I'm stuffed... don't let me eat another bite!" he exclaimed in a rather dramatic tone.
  17. Blueblaze chuckled at Djemba's response, and smiled joyfully. "Yeah, it's always nice to live the dream..." he agreed. He had a somewhat affectionate tone in his voice as he responded. The colt smiled wide at Djemba's question; he was certainly going to have fun answering this one. "Okay, here goes… My father taught me how to play, but I didn't really get into it until I went to a concert. You see, it was the last day of flight camp for the summer. The counselors wanted to do something special for us, and they were lucky enough to find the some of the best musicians Canterlot had to offer. I'll admit, I wasn't really a fan of most of them. But headlining the show was none other..." Blueblaze paused for dramatic effect. "... than Billy Foal!" "It was amazing, I-I couldn't help but dance along the whole time! Although many of the ponies there were rather annoyed me... They said 'sit your tail down!' and 'let us enjoy the show!' So I did what I was told. I was disappointed, I didn't get to enjoy the show the way I wanted to. All I wanted to do was have fun, and nopony would let me..." "But then, I couldn't believe it- Billy had noticed my erratic behavior, and called me up on stage! He asked me if I had any experience with the piano, and of course I said yes. I had only just started a couple months before then, so I was nervous that I was going to mess up. But I wanted to show Mr. Foal and the flight camp fillies what I was made of! And so I began to play, and well... I missed a few notes. By a few, I mean more than a few. Er... a lot. Hehe, anyways... I was sweating like crazy, much like yesterday. There were muffled insults coming from the crowd, and I was just about to give up..." "But before I could leave, Billy trotted right up beside me and sat right next to me on the bench! And he said 'Look, little one. Music isn't just something to play, it's something you feel. What is it that you feel?' And I replied, 'I feel... nervous, b-but excited at the same time. I don't know how to play that though…' And he said, 'But of course you do! Here, I'll help ya out…' So he began to play on the lower keys. And seeing the look of liveliness in his eyes, and hearing the song of liveliness that he played, it made me feel alive too!' 'So we played, for what seemed like hours. And at the end of the song, the crowd had erupted in cheer! Billy made his way to the front of the stage to take a bow, and all of a sudden I heard one of the ponies in the crowd say, 'Bluey, look! Your flank!' And sure enough, there it was- my cutie mark! And then Billy waved me over, and we took a bow together… I knew that's what I was meant to be, a musician, one who not only plays, but feels. A pony who brings joy through music! And the rest is history!' Blueblaze stopped, a dreamy look in his eyes. He realized he must have sounded like a giddy little filly to Djemb, but he didn't mind. It was one of the few moments of joy in his childhood, and he held it to his heart as close as he could. 'Pretty cool, huh?' he asked. While he was still grounded, Blue was flapping his wings. He enjoyed sharing that story, especially to Djemba. He knew she was the pony who shared his love for music, and maybe, who shared his love of each other.
  18. Oh wow, I really like the way you drew Big Macintosh especially. =)
  19. "Hey, they might go good together, you never know! Although, probably not..." Blueblaze said, returning a laugh. He was caught a little off guard by Djemba's nuzzle, but managed to keep a smile on his face. While he indeed felt very strongly for the mare, it made him rather uncomfortable. It was probably just the fact that he hadn't had a great friend for years, and he had never had a friend like Djemba. He just wasn't sure how to react to her affection was all. When Djemba said that she didn't need help, Blueblaze headed back to the table behind Djemba's keyboard. He decided against creating any more music off the top of his head; Blue figured he'd just make a fool of himself. He set the keyboard gently on the floor next to him. The colt tried to think of some questions to ask Djemba, to get to know her better. "So... how long has the band been together, Djemb?" he asked.
  20. I'm sorry to see you go, Ruq, but I wish you the best... =/
  21. This thread was a good idea. =) And actually, I'll be gone from April 30th- May 5th on vacation in Orlando. It's a ways out, but I might as well post it now. I'm forgetful like that. =P
  22. Lucky pumped her wings to hover in midair as she followed the others towards the trees. But after only a couple of seconds, she grounded herself. The young foal just didn't have the strength to stay in the air for very long. How am I going to pull this off? she thought, slightly worried. Even though Star Chaser was incredibly kind, it still made Lucky nervous that she was performing in the presence of a Wonderbolt. Starlight made her nervous too; she didn't want to fail miserably in front of one of her peers. Lucky shook a little due to her nerves. She tried not to let it bother her, but it did, and her enthusiasm wasn't as great as it was a minute ago. The young pegasus followed Star Chaseron the ground, in order to catch her breath in preparation for the trick she was about to attempt.
  23. Glad I'm not the only one who noticed the Alice in Wonderland reference. ^^ I love this episode; guess that's no surprise though. I think my favorite part was Celestia tricking Mr. and Mrs. Cake with the tea. Not to mention the fantastic animation. Also, Fluttershy. That is all.
