1. "Um, well..." Sky wasn't sure how to answer the question, "It'll be like stepping into a warm bath. It might sting for a bit, until you warm up." Sky had never really been good at reassuring ponies. "Other than that, it shouldn't."
2. "Yes, this should do nicely," Sky said, tossing in a few leaves. A few seconds after the leaves landed on the surface, the water began to bubble and turn green. Sky thought he would explain what was happening while they waited. "The dry leaves have an exothermic reaction with the water, which releases the healing nutrients from the leaf. It also heats up the water, so don't worry about cold water Silver." Sky smiled at Silver, and the bubbling began to die down.
3. "Alright then. Uh, Silt, you should probably lead. You know the way, after all." Sky reasoned.
4. (Well, there really hasn't been a posting order, I just post when I feel like it's my turn.)
5. (Sorry guys, I'm still here. Just don't get notifications like I should sometimes.) Hammer could feel his jaw drop at the sight of the unicorn becoming an alicorn. He had never heard of such an event before. And he talked of two princesses? It was a lot to take in at once. "Even if what you say is true, and even with your being an alicorn, we have no way to decipher that book, nor the pony-power it would take to defeat Sombra in battle." Hammer shook his head. He had been foolish enough to charge blindly into battle once, and he would not make the mistake again. "If we could free some of the prisoners, safely, then maybe.....just maybe. Tell me, Vision. What do you know of the Crystal Empire, or how to fight? If you're going to help us, you'll need to know a lot about both." Hammer said with gusto.
6. "I suppose if the others are fine with it, I'll go along too." Was Cyprus' reply. Hammer nodded in agreement, but he didn't know how long they could wait to make a decision. "Let me ask you something Vision. Why are you here? We all have our reasons, but what's yours?"
7. (So who's going next? Because I don't think it's my turn yet.)
8. "A secret code? A far away place? Sombra's weakness? I...Well, I don't know." Hammer said, rather quickly. "Cyprus, what do you think about all this?"
9. (Well, you don't have to stop, just, I read you're character's submission, so I could get a better understanding of who I was looking at, and this doesn't sound like the Vision you submitted at all. While I know in this FFA role-play you don't have to follow any particular guides, you're playing like you have everything in the world with your character right now. You started off good, but then the fire crystal started to make it a bit rocky, and then the weapons just seemed to completely dismantle your story. Just my perspective, but, yeah.)
10. (Housin, this doesn't feel right. I feel like your not really embracing the role-playing aspects here.)
11. "Cyprus," Hammer called back over his shoulder, "glad to hear you're okay." Hammer, too, felt the sadness that tinged the stallion's voice. At that moment, Hammer's forge sprang back to life, and across the forge was a unicorn! Instinctively, Hammer grabbed his, well, his hammer, and growled "You! Who are you, and how did you find this place!?"
12. As Hammer looked around the cave, he noticed that none of his comrades were around. "Hmmph." Hammer grumbled to himself, "They better be out finding us more food! Otherwise, there's no way we'll retake the Empire." At that point, a strong wind blew through the cave and put out his forge. Muttering under his breath, he attempted to relight it, but the fire crystals Hammer used for his forge were being especially troublesome. "Blast!" He said angrily. He would have to go deeper into the cave to mine more for his forge. But, he just wanted one last look at that grey sky first. "Don't worry, I'll save you..." He said, staring at the sky, before going to retrieve his pickaxe from it's resting place at the forge.
13. (I agree with Lightning Streak. You need to start your character off away from the group. Heh, my character hasn't even been introduced to Caymellow yet, doesn't even know her name.) Sky's attention was diverted from the fuzzy creature Jogurt as Sapphire and the other pegasus left the tree. "Oh, um, good morning." Sky said, "I....I don't think we've been introduced. My name is Sky Blue." Sky managed to do a somewhat awkward bow, but a bow nonetheless. "So, are we ready to head out now?" Sky was starting to get anxious. As beautiful as the forest was, it was still the Everfree forest, and he was starting to remember the howling he heard last night.
14. Sky had barely noticed the creature until Silt whinnied in delight. 'What is that thing?' Sky wondered. He wasn't familiar with many of the creatures that lived on the ground, but he had never heard of any that were so big.....and fuzzy. Sky couldn't help but stare in puzzlement.
15. "Nonsense Silver," Sky replied, "I won't let my need to get a flower come before anypony's well being. And Silt, to answer your question, the potion has different effects based on how you take it. Bathing in it is good for external problems, such as frostbite, and drinking it is good for internal problems, like a cold." Sky was proud of what he remembered from Professor Spectrum's lessons about the leaves. "So, our first stop will be the stream then, yes?"
16. It had been one month since King Sombra had taken over. Hammer, a gray Earth pony with a messy brown mane, had been a blacksmith before Sombra came. Now, he forged and repaired equipment for the resistance, a group of Crystal ponies that escaped Sombra's initial attack. It was too dangerous to have any camps in the city itself, so they were forced to take shelter in the Crystal Chasm. How far down it went, nopony knew, but hopefully Sombra wouldn't be able to find them here. Hammer walked over the the edge and stared up through the opening of the chasm at the black sky. There hadn't been a blue sky for too long. He walked over to his forge and lit it up, looking around at the other ponies in the cave.
17. "You really want to help me?" Sky asked Silver, sounding rather shocked. "Well.....I.....thank you. Um, the Wind Lilly has four thin white petals and looks like a windmill. Though, we should make the potion before we start looking. Silt, do you have a bowl and some cold water we could use?"
18. "You're all going to Ponyville?" Sky asked any of the ponies that would listen. "I'd go with you, but I still need to find the......the.......the Wind Lilly! That's what it's called!" Sky was rather proud of himself, until he noticed the raw hooves of Silver. "Ooh. Frostbite did you say? You know, I just might have something....." Sky trailed off, as he began patting his cloak's pockets. "I do!" Sky exclaimed, pulling five dried brown leaves from his left pocket. "These are tea leaves from Saddle Arabia. The Professor has them imported. They make a great tea, but also chemically react with cold water, making a fast-acting potion." Sky was so wrapped up in talking about the leaves, he had blocked out everything else. "I once got frostbite when I was a young colt. I had played in a snow-cloud without any of my winter gear. It was pretty bad, but the Professor just threw a few leaves into a bath and put me in. I felt better instantly!" Sky began to feel as though he were droning on. "So, um, yeah. You can try it if you want to..."
19. "Good morning." Sky heard from behind him. He paused in his stretching and turned his neck to see the unicorn emerging from the tree. "My uh, my name is Silt Treble." Sky had already figured that out, but it was still polite of the unicorn. "Did you sleep well?" "Uh, yeah, I slept great. My name's Sky, Sky Blue. Did, uh, did you sleep well too?" Sky thought it would be polite to return the question and resumed his stretching. "Thanks for letting me stay the night in your tree. It's really cool!" Silt had gone over to a patch of blue flowers and was using magic to make more of the flowers grow around the tree. "Um, what are you doing?" Sky asked.
20. (I guess I'll take the first morning post) Sky awoke to the crackling of the embers in the fire pit. The room was dimly lit and he could make out the shapes much better. He counted three pegasi, two of them female, one unicorn, and.....that creature. He really didn't know what that thing was. His knowledge of animals really only stretched as far as birds that flew around Cloudsdale. Sky needed to stretch, as he did every morning, but he couldn't do it in here without waking someone up. He ascended the stairs towards where he had entered the night before. 'There must be a doorknob or someth.....' Sky pondered, as the tree opened up to let him outside. 'I knew some unicorns had powerful magic, but this is too cool!' Sky stepped outside and into the fresh morning air. Sun rays were shining through the trees, making the forest a sight to behold. "Wow," Sky whispered to himself, "it's so beautiful!" Sky began his stretches, eager to set out in search of the flower, but not wanting to leave without thanking the ponies that sheltered him through the night. 'It's the very least I can do.' He assured himself. He had forgotten about the howls in the night, taking in the beauty of the new day instead.
