Sometimes I think to myself how incredible the internet is. I mean, we can learn about practically anything - a whole gold mine of knowledge right at our fingertips. And it's all ours to discover.

Ah, I must have been mixing the two together. Thank you for educating me! See, one could say that if they aren't hurting anyone around them it would be fine, but sometimes there's the case when their relationships are suffering as a result of their mentality, and in turn they themselves suffer. And then when you compare something like this with transgender people, the line really gets murky. If a person accepts transgender people, then who's to say that those kinds of furries aren't to be accepted as well?

I thought Otherkin was more akin (ha) to GID than a religious culture. Is it that they feel they have a spiritual connection to the animals? And as far as some of the more extreme furries go, would you say since it's a similar issue to GID that they should receive therapy? Again, it's not harming anyone, but do you think there's a psychological issue that needs to be addressed there or not? It's an interesting discussion.

I'm thinking more along the lines of the Otherkin mentality. I do know a few people who are furries (though not to an extreme), and yes, there's nothing inherently wrong or dangerous with pinning a tail to your belt because it makes you feel better, but I still think it's strange.

Furries have always disturbed me... I mean, I don't really mind people dressing up in suits every now and then and meeting other people just as a hobby. It's kind of cute and fun. But when they feel like they have to dress up in order to socialize or feel "truly like themselves" that's when I'd call a psychologist.

Since I love films, probably something having to do with that line of work. 8.Cutie mark? Again, if film was my occupation, my Cutie Mark would have to be related to that. 9.Would you share your knowledge of this life? For sure. I could even write a book about it and make loads of money!

Here's an extremely quick reference sketch I made for my new OC Errant Flame. I didn't want to have to bother with lineart (but I still wanted to show how the colors looked on her), so I did a sloppy paint job. And made up a very unoriginal cutie mark. -

What TV series do you guys watch?

I've come to realize that I watch a good many "trendy" shows. Or "used-to-be-trendy" shows. I think it's also worth mentioning that I watch TCM religiously. - Supernatural - The Man from U.N.C.L.E - Person of Interest - Doctor Who - Gravity Falls - Monk - Psych - Heroes - Alfred Hitchcock Presents - Broadchurch (BBC) - Once Upon a Time (stopped watching this one because... yeah) - Sherlock (BBC) - Star Trek - Lost - The Office - Seinfeld And obviously... MLP. -
Finally got around to watching episode two. For some reason I got big G3 vibes from this episode. I think it's because the ponyfolk were very colorful and bubbly in the end, much like the characters in the G3 era.

I never said G3 was good (although I do have a fondness for a few of the movies, hence my username). The characters, once they got their CMs back, just reminded me of it.

Hehe, yeah inspiration is tough. It comes and goes, and you can't schedule creativity I'm afraid. Still, I tend to just power through it. Takes discipline, I find.

Well, it is the first fanfic I'd ever written, and the only other thing I had written being papers for school and such. I'll keep that in mind, though.

Yeah, if it's your first time writing then it's going to be a bit difficult to get in that groove. Best to just make yourself do it, then once you get in the swing of it then it's usually ok. It's just actually sitting down and starting off, hehe. Still, if you ever need a hand give me a shout.
