    ok i see what i see for them is yea we know they are from equestria because they said it in a short and we know the time frame is it happens near the EQ movie, but i don't think it happens right after unless this is an different timeline where twilight does get to it in time therefore stuck on earth for another 30 moons how every long that is anyway back to it
    i think that they are are unicorns that got banish for some reason and they each found a piece of the alicorn amulet so they are mad with power stucking it up or instead of unicorns they could be changelings but still the alicon amulet.
    So in hindsight i am trying to get across that i think that red crystal they each are wearing that suck up the magic is broken pieces of the Alicon Amulet.
    What do you guys think?
