  1. Well, after searching all other forums for this thread before finally coming here--as should have been obvious--I'm leaving ya'll with an update.

I do fully intend to return to this board, it's just that life, right now, is incredibly hectic. So...I need to say farewell for awhile. I don't have a definite time period for my hiatus, and I feel terrible for any RPs I've left intermingle (I don't think there are any....I've lost like my two most important characters, anywho.) Anyway, I'm not going to be online much longer after this post, other than to wrap up any PMs I might have.

I'm sure when S3 comes out, I might regain some inspiration, but....at this point in time, I have no inspiration for ponies. Not to draw them, RP them, write about them....nothing. I can't even focus on the Fics I used to read loyally. So, it is with a heavy heart that I take a much needed break from this site.

I love you all, my pony brothers and sisters. And, as Holly Dash would say, 'Ah'll be seein' ya'll!'

  2. Cerena listened to the princess lament on the changing of the world around her. As she spoke...Cerena became suddenly aware of the reality of the Princess' age. It...was exponential. She never even took a moment to consider the thought of immortality--but she supposed, it was not a thing meant to be intently focused upon, nor something a normal pony should consider at all.

"See?" Cerena smiled at the princess, "There you go again--proving my words true! You ARE interesting-and smart, and pretty, and in my opinion--rather gallant." She chuckled softly, "If it were me, I don't know that I would have been kind enough to accept going out into the Everfree forest with somepony you'd never met before...I imagine as someone of your extensive responsibilities, I was probably a bit of an inconvenience...but even if we never meet again....I was really happy to meet you, Princess."

She smiled brightly at the lunar princess, the rising sun in the distance bringing the familiar pull at the back of her eyelids. She held back the yawn that was threatening to emerge.

    Character Summary:

Holly Dash was born in Beakbreak City, to a pair of irresponsible parents, far too young and deviant to have a filly. Her father was a thief, and her mother was a con artist. Both were wanted by the law of Equestria, and that is what wound them up in Beakbreak. Both of them had terrible addictions to the deadly nightshade, and although Holly's mother loved her filly, she was an uncontrollable liar, and her daughter grew up to know never to trust what her mother told her, never to give her things when she begged for them, never to give in to prying hooves and eyes.

She sought out solitude behind a closed door, in her box of a room, and counted the days until she would be a grown up pony, and be able to strike out on her own. It was at about the age when normal fillies head out to school, that her father left. He did not say goodbye--all that Holly recalled was that her mother cried for what seemed like forever. Then, things got a little better. Her mom let her go to school, if only to get her out of the house. She was sometimes locked out of the house, when her mother was in a fit. She didn't mind, though, she made friends with the griffon children in the neighborhood, and found her way to the library, small though it was in this dingy dirty town, and found herself learning things at a remarkable rate.

It was on such an occasion to the library, that she saw her first depiction of what would later become her talent in life. A picture book, filled with mouth watering pictures--strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, grapes, and more--all ripe and juicy right there on the pages. She had never seen such wonderful looking food!

It was then, for the first time in her life, that she found herself wanting something more--and she begged her mother for it. Her mother, in a stupor from one of her many mind-numbing leaves, fumbled, and complied. After what seemed like an eternity, her mother returned from her 'shopping trip.' She had mostly salt licks, so much that a pony could stumble for weeks without remembering it, and yet in one bag--one tiny bag, there was something special. Something small, something just for her!

Seeds. Tiny little strawberry seeds, all packaged up in a little bag no bigger than her tiny filly hoof. Yet nothing enthralled her more. Her mother--already sucking down her salt lick, casually remarked that her daughter should 'make sure you water those.'

ButHolly did more than that. She remembered everything about raising these plants from her library books. She buried them in the dampest, thickest looking soil she could find around their dry and irreparable home, and using a jar with holes poked in the lid, she sprinkled water over them. She talked to them every day, she would read books to them, and every day it seems there was more and more green covering her little garden--but still, she didn't see any red. No fruit had even sprouted the little tiny nubs of green buds that make strawberries. She was beginning to lose all hope.

It was on a day where she was reading about all the lands of Equestria--out loud to her plants, of course, that it happened. Magic happened. She had never done magic before, yet here it was dragging her off. She fought it, initially, as the horn on her head grabbed her whole body and pulled her along, but with nothing here truly holding her back, she succumbed to it. It dragged her at first, but then began to tug at her every fiber, and soon she found herself running with it, chasing--what she did not know.

It had been dark when she was reading with her berries, by candle light, in the wee hours of the morning. The sky was slowly lightening as her horn directed her along--higher and higher into the sharp, high peaks of the Roughrider Ridges. Finally, with her hooves ready to fall off, the magic stopped. She had never been so high up, and never had it been so dark. She was terrified to find her way down. She looked back the way she came, and shivered-the cold wind that slammed against the mountain blowing right through her. Then suddenly, little glimmers of light drifted from the east--from Canterlot. There, miles and miles in the distance, the Summer Sun Celebration was occurring--the most beautiful sunrise she had ever seen. The light spread across the great land of Equestria, and suddenly...she knew. She knew what she wanted to do. She knew where she wanted to go, and that she wanted to grow. And as she looked down the steep ridges, she saw--hardly a speck from this distance, but she saw, next to her gnarled old shack--the bright, swollen red fleck of strawberries--dozens of them, all over her little green patch.

As her face lit up with joy, and her heart swelled with hope, her cutie mark--a rosy red single strawberry, glowed to life on her flanks.

She set to work after that--collecting every piece of scrap wood she could find, she began to build. It was slow work, as wood seemed hard to come by. She grew older, and her garden grew with her--it was now filled with little berry bushes, and tomatoes, and even a vine of watermelon. All of it grew, along with her creation. Finally, with money saved up from selling her delicious fruit to her neighbors, she was able to buy them--two, beautiful, wooden, wheels. She carefully attached them to what she had built, her cart, and admired her fine work. She had gotten rid of the only dress she owned to make the halter to go over her shoulders and back, but it was well worth it. She was ready to go. To travel all of Equestria. And someday...maybe even Celestia would praise her for the deliciousness of her fruit.

She packed up all of her plants, digging them out to the root so that they could be moved and replanted. It was slow workings, loading up that cart with her garden, but it would be worth it someday, she knew. Now came the hard part. Attempting to tell her mother. Well, at least she thought it would be hard. It turned out, at her saying that she was going--tears welled in her eyes to have to tell her mother--the old mare was overjoyed. Albeit she was probably a bit wired from the leaf, she praised Celestia for finally getting rid of such a useless daughter.

Fully crying now, Holly left in a flurry of tears, head hanging low as she walked out of Beakbreak. It was then--as she didn't watch where she was going, that she crashed into the thick chest of a stallion. She fumbled with apologies, wiping her eyes with her hoof, and avoiding eye contact with the stranger.

"Holly?" She looked up to the stallion at hearing her name, and was astounded. It was her father. His hair was clean-cut, his eyes were clear and not glassy, and his coat had a sheen to it. He was--he was clean!

Her jaw slacked, her face aghast, "Dad?!"

He nodded solemnly, and saw her cart, "So...how....how is yur mother?"

She couldn't hide the pained expression on her face, "She...well...she...." She cut herself off, and looked at him with eyes that spoke the truth, "Ya know."

He nodded glumly, and looked to the ground, "I um...Ah'm gonna take care of her now."

Holly tilted her head, " 'Take care of her'??" She repeated the phrase, a bit lost by the words, but then suddenly, angry, "NOW ya come back? NOW that ya don't have to take care of a little filly, right?!"

"No,Ah--Ah never meant...." Holly's eyes pierced through to him, and he sighed, "Ah didn't want to leave you--but Ah knew that I couldn't get help without leaving....and Ah swore Ah'd come back someday and take care of you...both of ya."

She scowled at him, "Well....you can have her. She doesn't want me no more."

He was astounded, "Yur mother--she loves you, she's probably just...just..."

She sighed, "It's alright. Ah know." her eyes welled with tears, "Ah'll...Ah'm going to sell fruit....on the road." She smiled, "Just...uh....send a letter...when you guys get settled somewhere new, or something...."

She moved to start walking again, and he stopped her, drawing her into a hug. Quietly, he told her he was proud of her, and that he loved her.

They parted, and she headed into Equestria, suddenly filled with that bright shining joy she first felt when she had seen her strawberries grow for the first time. She trotted faster as she neared the bottom of the ridges, past Bareback Gulch, and was at a run when she went into the Everfree Forest.

It took what seemed like forever before she found a town--Ponyville, it was called. She was merrily selling fruit, when a sudden invasion of Parasprite overtook the town, and sent her packing, before all of her food and her cart would be gone. She continued to travel, past an apple orchard, and on towards Canterlot, where she found, just inside of Whitetail Woods, a place. A clearing with fertile soil, and nopony nearby. She left her cart here, and looked around. Nopony to be seen until much closer to Solstice Heights, this was perfect. She magicked out her hoof-made gardening tools, and got to work, hoeing out neat rows of garden, and magicked her uprooted plants back into the ground.

She now grows her fruit there, and travels with her cart all over Equestria, selling the most delicious fruit Equestria has ever known!

  4. Cerena stared at the princess, jaw agape, eyes stretched wide, blinking dumbfoundedly. For once in the night...she was struck speechless. She stared at the princess, opening and closing her mouth uncomprehendingly. Then she turned her head down to her hooves, and thought a time to think on her words.

"Uh...ah....y...you think you're....dull?!" She was completely flabbergasted. She could not believe the princess had such an opinion of herself, "You....You're not dull! Ponies who spend all day....singing, and gabbing, and dancing, and doing this day in and day out--THAT is DULL!" She crinkled her nose at the thought, "YOU! You...you are by far THE most fascinating pony I have ever met! And I dare say I know nearly every pony in Canterlot! For you to write yourself off so easily....why, I find it....befuddling!"

She looked back to her hooves, trying to think how she could further explain how the princess was so interesting to her. Then she noticed movement. The first, and furthest east buds were closing, and the first rays of the sun were beginning to extend across the field, and one by one, the buds were beginning to shut.

"Look!" She shouted, jumping to her feet on the cloud, eyes gleaming with delight.

  5. Cerena found that question a bit more quizzical, "Well....um...how....um...how do I put this nicely?"

She tapped her chin, her cheeks growing rosy as she tried to think how best to phrase it, "I think....day ponies....that is, most, if not all ponies, are kind of....boring..." She laughed, feeling awkward for admitting it, "I mean, yeah, the day is great and all, but...who always WANTS to see their own hoof in front of their face, y'know? I think a little bit of mystery is nice. And besides, there's nothing there at night that isn't there during the day, too! I mean...dragons and monsters don't just....POOF! Vanish because it's day time!"

As she spoke she subconsciously buried her hooves into the fluffy white below her, "I mean....I get along with everypony just fine but...." She blushed and turned away a little, "I've never met anyone who was nearly as interesting as you....."

She realized suddenly how that may have sounded, and whipped back around, still flushed in embarrassment, "I mean not because you're a princess! I mean, you are a princess of course, but that's not why you're interesting! I mean, being a princess IS interesting of course, I just meant that YOU--Pfff....gaw. I'm not making any sense, am I?"

She huffed a sigh, shutting herself up before she made herself sound any worse...and also making a quick note how the moon seemed to be still lingering at the edge of the horizon....

Lyra's calls out to Bon Bon were either unheard or ignored by her girlfriend. She was starting to feel a tightness in her chest; a horrible feeling of dread and worry that this time her mistake may have cost her relationship with the mare she loved.

"Howdy thar, Lyra! What's got yer mane in a tangle?" came a chipper sounding voice from off to the side.

"Oh, you're Apple Bloom, right?" asked Lyra. She needn't have done so; the young filly and her crusader friends were well known around Ponyville for their antics.

Lyra slumped down onto the ground, tail down, hooves forward, a rare case of her sitting like a normal pony. "I think I've done something horrible Miss Bloom. I've upset my special somepony by coming here and I'm not sure if she'll ever forgive me." She rubbed her eyes with a hoof, trying to stifle some tears. "All this over a silly kiss." she said.

    Bon Bon

Bon Bon sighed heavily, still thinking about Lyra and her own overreaction to the kiss. She knew she'd feel nothing but foolish if she just slumped back and apologized to Lyra....it's not like it really was that big of a deal....it certainly wasn't any kind of betrayal--not that there was anything holding them together. That thought made her cringe with uneasiness. She hated knowing that at any given point in time....what if Lyra decided she really didn't like fillies? What if she left? The thought of it brought tears welling to her eyes--most unbecoming, especially as she neared the front of the line. Only a couple more ponies in front of her.

She cast her shimmering eyes around, searching...reaching for Lyra in confusion, not knowing whether she actually wanted to find her or make sure that she couldn't be seen. Ponies were shoving in behind her in the line though, and it was hard to see much beyond their mulling conversations. She peered down as little Applebloom trotted by, bow bobbing perkily, not even bother with a greeting as the little yellow filly started conversing with another pony.

She glanced up and saw Applejack at the booth, where a stallion had just pressed a kiss right on AJ's lips, much to the orange pony's embarrassment. Bon Bon smiled a bit. How stupid was she?! This was APPLEJACK she was freaking out about. The idea of kissing a filly she'd lived in the same town as for years brought a blush to her cheeks. No wonder Lyra had wanted to do this! She could not help it as she shifted on and off her hooves impatiently, now caught up herself in the excitement.

  7. Bon Bon

Bon Bon was only further confused by the sudden hug and confusing advice from the other stallion. What was with stallions today? Excessively nice, if you asked her! She pushed the stallion away as he simultaneously left of his own will, giving him a bewildered look, and shaking her head.

None of them understood, none of them could possibly know how it felt. It felt like....it felt like a betrayal. Sure, she knew Lyra meant nothing of it, but it still hurt that she wouldn't even tell her. Wouldn't leave a note as to where she was going....Bon Bon gladly would have joint into the fun! The two of them could've been kissed together, even! It wasn't that she felt that Lyra had 'cheated' on her--just...abused her trust. She trodded a few steps away, just far enough that it was still apparent she was in line. She didn't care if Lyra found her. She'd give the minty mare a piece of her mind!

"Beg pardon, sirs, but please....I need to work this out on my own," She smiled politely, "Thank you for your kindness."

  8. "You should be frustrated... but perhaps she simply had a case of foalishness," Mythos suggested with a comforting smile, "wanting to try something new for the fun of it not realizing it would hurt you." Looking over at where they have left the mare he continued with a question, "Now you know Miss Lyra probably more then anypony and as such I will ask... do you believe she would ever want to replace you for another mare? Yes she shouldn't have tried to do this behind you back and perhaps she could have even gotten you involved... but ponies will mess up."

Mythos took out a cloth and wiped some of the tears still on her face before lifting up Bon Bon's chin, giving her one of his special smiles before asking, "I'm sure Lyra counts herself lucky to be with a lovely mare such as yourself don't you think?."

Bon Bon gave a small smile. She didn't even know this stallion, but his words did comfort her...perhaps it was his gift. She sighed, the line seemed to be moving some. She pushed away his hoof. How could she face Lyra, though? She was so...she had acted so...so....

"Bonnie? Bonnie, I'm sorry!" she called out, weakly. "Please, has anyone seen an earth pony with a cream coat and with pink and indigo hair?"

Bon Bon's ears snapped upright at the sound of Lyra's voice. Ohhh...she couldn't possibly face her! She ducked her head down below Mythos' taller form, shuffling behind him, "Shhh....hide me! I can't face her....I....I don't even know if I can forgive her.....she's just so.....infuriating sometimes!"

  9. Mythos saw that the mare didn't even realize he was there and moved his hoof lightly to Bon Bon's shoulder softly saying again as he shook it, "Miss can you hear me... I saw what happened. I know it is none of my business but maybe you would be willing to talk about it. Your distressed and I would like to help" He hoped this was nothing serious but even he could tell the mare was very unhappy and a look of worry was clear on his face.

    bonbonforrp.png

Bon Bon turned to the stallion at her side and sniffed, wiping her tears away quickly. Now even strangers were coming up to her! Oh, how could she have let this happen?! She felt absolutely ridiculous!

"Oh! I-ah-I'm sorry...I'm just being stupid, my.....my...." she paused, fumbling for a word. She had never figured out how to express such a thing to a stranger, "Well...my...life partner? Ugh, well, I don't know about life anymore...."

The thought of living without Lyra brought tears once again to her eyes, and she hiccuped, stifling the sobs back, "It's not like she cheated on me or anything...I don't know...maybe I'm overreacting. But....she kissed another filly....and didn't even bother to tell me where she was going....or invite me along...."

Why was she telling this stallion all this? Maybe she just needed somepony to vent to, "It just....really frustrates me...."

  10. [[OOC: sorry, Tales....I know....I suck.]]

Cerena watched the way the princess spread her wings, and visibly flinched as she noticed the princess' twinge at the pain in her wing. She had forgotten that Luna had had quite a bit of a topple. She had not known the princess had hurt her wing....

She seemed well enough with her magic, though, to get up to cloud-level. Cerena thought for certain the princess would merely remain afloat seperately, on her own little puff of cloud, and was quite surprised to see the lunar princess reattach herself to the cloud below her own body. It made her blush, a little. The princess was so...nice. Surely she had been unnecessarily cruel to assess the princess as she had before....

She blinked herself back to attention as the princess honored her with a question, "Oh, yes, of course! These, and the nightworms of the Galapagos are some of my favorite night sites. Though, I figured digging up worms in the moonlight wasn't uhh....Princess-suiting." she giggled at the thought of those fancy silver-shod hooves covered in a layer of mud, "You'll rarely find me in the day time-I usually get to sleep around 6am, and get up around three or four in the evening....I'm always rushing to shops that are about to close at 5!"

She molded the cloud between her forehooves into a bowl-like shape, "Then I have my night class, and I stay up all night either exploring or...." she shrugged, "Doing whatever. Reading, singing, dancing....playing with fireflies--let me tell you, fireflies get REALLY lonely, because all the nature ponies are up with the butterflies!"

She sighed and smooshed the bowl back into the cloud, "It can get kind of lonely by myself....this is the first time anypony's ever stayed up with me all night...."

  11. bonbonforrp.png

Bon Bon sighed and sat down amongst the other milling ponies, not even noticing the wreak of a particularly smelly pony as she sniffled and wiped the tears from her eyes with a forehoof. She breathed a heavy sigh. Why did she go and say something so stupid?

She loved Lyra more than anypony.....more than her own parents....more than...more than her sisters, her job, her house.....more than herself. She had definitely overreacted....but...Lyra had no right to go sneakin' around! And....and...she should've told that she was going to....

Bon Bon sighed and looked ahead of her, moving along with the shuffling crowd as kisses came and went, apples purchased, and so on. She had so many ponies in front of her, still.....

  12. bonbonforrp.png

Bon Bon smiled at Lyra's father's words, and the sincerity they carried. She gave a smile, "I'm happy to report she's doing wonderful! She's one of the most popular ponies in town! I couldn't count on our two sets of hooves how many friends she has." she paused for a moment, "And did you know she WON the running of the leaves just this last year?!"

She jerked upright from the stallion as she heard the hoofsteps of Lyra and her mother heading to the room, and with a quick glance, double-checked her appearance in the reflection of a window, and then looked back to Pencil Pusher, giving a grin, and a quick whisper, "Should I be scared?"

  13. LyraIncognito-Colour.jpg

"You want some apples? We can get you a bushel of apples right away. That'll be five bits. And I can give you a kiss, on the lips, if that's what you'd like."

"Yes, that is what I would like." said Lyra, a smile appearing on her face. Applejack's friendly attitude and confident demeanor put her at ease and the unicorn in disguise felt her worries about being discovered simply melting away.

She placed her 5 bits on the table and then she leaned forward for her kiss. She placed her lips on Applejack's, gently at first, but after a second she dared to put her hoof an the farmer pony's neck and pull her a little closer, their lips pressed tightly together. It was as good as she'd hoped. Not the kind of passionate kisses she and Bon Bon shared, but still something new, and thrilling. A guilty pleasure. She didn't care or even notice that the earth pony's hat had knocked off her own during the kiss.

She drew back, her face now bright red, a goofy grin spreading across it. "Haaah, thank you very much..." she spoke, her fake accent forgotten. "That was one heck of a kiss! I'm actually feeling dizzy! And those sparkly lights... is someone using fireworks? Wait.... why am I on the floor?"

Lyra looked up from the ground, not remembering having fallen over. She must have passed out from the kiss. Or maybe it was the heat. Her head was throbbing, and her mouth was dry. Yes, probably the heat then. Her sunglasses and hat had fallen off, and her coat was now open, displaying her lyre cutie mark. So much for secrecy.

"Um... can I have *huff* a glass of water *puff* with my apples *huff* please?" she said, inbetween breaths.

    bonbonforrp.png

Bon Bon glowered angrily at her fillyfriend, lying askew, hat fallen under the trot of crowding ponies, and sunglasses skewed aside and cracked under her own forceful hoof slam, "Lyra!"

She could tell the pony was too exasperated to register her voice, and in reply to her plea for water, dumped a bucket of water she had already prepared when she saw Lyra faint, over her head. As the teal unicorn came to, Bon Bon frowned in annoyance, "I saw that...are my kisses not enough for you?!"

Bonnie stomped her hoof again in annoyance, "Well, fine then! I'll get my own kiss from Applejack! And...." Tears welled in her eyes as she spoke, "Well, Maybe I don't need your kisses anymore!!"

She reared on her rear legs and ran off into the crowd of ten or so ponies that were in line ahead of her, making sure that she was nearest taller ponies, so as not to be found as she sniffled and cried, confused on why Lyra would desire a kiss from another mare.

  14. Bon Bon smiled warmly, perfectly, "I am!" She pulled off her jacket with her teeth and gingerly set it down on the arm of the love seat, somehow it looked folded, despite her simplicity. She turned to the side, lifting up her rear leg a bit to pull attention to her flank, showing off the twisty-tied sweets marking her talent, "I adore making sweets--and your daughter certainly loves to devour them!"

Bon Bon gave a well-placed chuckle at her own comment and through a trick of the hoof, she lightly kicked the table, sending one tea cup twirling into the air, and caught the cup on the bottom of her hoof, not a drop spilled. She shut her eyes, knowing her trick impressed even the stubbornest of ponies, and took a sip from the cup, politely commenting on it's taste.

  15. bonbonforrp.png

Bon Bon hummed softly to herself as she trotted through the Ponyville square, noticing a large amount of attention elicited from a particular stand....right where Applejack usually sets up her normal stand. How curious. She looked around curiously, expecting to see Lyra in the crowd some where, as her fillyfriend had a remarkable habit of finding all source of hustle and bustle whenever she can.

Normally, Bon Bon was on top of any sort of event occurring in Ponyville, right up there at the front of the crowd, but since yesterday, with that....incredible massage.....amazing hooficure.....absolutely DIVINE aromatherapy......

Thinking of it brought on a heavy sigh as she remembered the tension that was released from Bonnie's muscles. Aloe and Lotus certainly were mares talented with their hooves. Pushing the thought of oversleeping out of her mind, she trotted over to find out what was going on. Through a simple amount of overhearing, and peaking over pony's shoulders, she discovered that this was, in fact, Applejack's stand and she was handing out....what? It couldn't possibly be...kisses? She stared in confusion at the stand and watched as AJ planted a kiss on the cheek of a pony that purchased a bushel of her apples.

She stared, and could not help the tingly feeling of curiosity. She....she wanted a kiss, too....

Suddenly, a suspicious figure caught the corner of her eye. She squinted curiously as the figure shifted through the crowd....that tail definitely looked familiar....but she could not be certain, as the pony was wearing sunglasses and a trench coat. She kept her eyes wide, the pony kept coming in and out of site, and was getting closer and closer to the booth...

Her curiosity firmly in place, she set herself in line for the orange mare's cheeky kisses.

  16. Flitwink merely smiled at the all around distraught reaction to his medication, but when the colt inquired about his concoction, he could not help but get a bit excited. Another herbalist, perhaps? How fascinating!

"Yes, it's made from a mixture straight out of the Everfree! It's the only location--in Equestria, that is--that these herbs will grow!" he explained excitedly to the stallion, "I grow them myself, my wife was an herbalist and magicker--she was a zebra, she learned much in her country--and...oh, I'm sorry! Here I am rambling! Yes, I have a salve you can put on your wings....I've used it myself a few times." He flexed his wings a bit to exemplify, and reached into a lower cabinet, pulling out a small lidded jar with his mouth, and set it down on the counter, "There you are, sir....So....are you interested in the art of herbs?"

Holly's attention drifted away from the distracted doctor, and caught the site of Stormsong collapsing back onto her bed. Her eyes widened and she immediately bolted to her friend's side, catching her with an extended forearm just before her back hit the bed, "Stormsong!" She looked at the blue mare with wide, worried eyes, "What's wrong? Are you okay?!

Flitwink, too, caught the commotion, and before the other pegasi had the chance to respond to his excited inquiry, he was at the blue mare's side, "Are you okay, young lady? Are you in pain somewhere?"

  17. Flitwink chuckled softly at the blue pelted mare, "Sorry, but I actually need you to suffer through that taste--it's gotta soak in to your throat and mix with your saliva to work properly--the tea would wash that all away." He tapped his chin, "But I suppose you could have a little bit of water, though. Nurse, could you get them all a small cup of water?"

The nurse in the room, who was just finishing packing up the four different bags of tea, nodded to the doctor, and walked quietly out of the room. Holly was having a heck of a battle with the pill in her mouth. Holly....couldn't handle anything bitter--or sour, or spicy. Her palette was reserved for the sweet taste of fruit--even hay, the blandest of foods, she sometimes had a hard time stomaching. She could not help as she continually gagged, sputtering the broken pill until her teeth were coated with the red substance.

"You need to swallow that, filly," Flitwink said sternly to Holly, "It won't do you any good trapped in your teeth."

Holly flattened her ears to her head, "Easier said than done...."

The very moment the nurse came back into the room, with four tiny plastic cups of water magicked in her grip, Holly yanked one to herself and chugged the glass into her mouth, swishing the liquid around, cleaning in her teeth and under her tongue before finally forcing the liquid down. As it slid down her throat, it seemed to make a burning-cold sensation on the sides of her throat.

She sighed whole-heartedly, "That was harder than fighting the FIRE!"

  18. Lotus facehoofed and started to laugh while looking at Bon Bon and shaking her head. After some seconds of laughing she got to her normal stance and smiled.

"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry Miss! I forgot You don't take a shower I'm silly for forgetting that" She laughed again and nodded a bit to Bon Bon.

"You know, often when ponies come to this position they should be after shower so I really forgot about that, please forgive me Miss for my mistake like this." She nodded to Bon again with smile and showed her the way to the showers.

"Don't really hurry Miss, take Your time and when You will be done come here again."

Bon Bon smiled quaintly at the mare as she directed her towards the shower room, and handed her the blueish robe--it wasn't quite Lyra's color....but it was still pretty. She hung it on a hook, along with her purse, and turned the faucet on in the shower area, letting the steamy water wash over her until her tight curls slithered completely straight. She sighed and set on the tile, thinking over things as she let the water clear her mane and fur of all the perfume and smells of the day. Earlier, when she had been out, somepony had kicked her garbage cart--she was still battling to get that scent out, weeks later.

After staying in the shower a good ten minutes, Bon Bon finally toweled herself off and trotted out of the room, garbed in the nice robe, with a towel wrapped around her head, and headed for her host, "Okay, Lotus! I'm ready to go! All squeaky clean!"

She grinned nervously--with the slightest squeak of excitement, "Okay! What's first?!"

  19. Holly was indeed impressed as Starburst showed her to the other table containing the strawberry dishes. She shoulda known! Of course! She remembered this pegasus! She was the one who came to her stall looking for several dozen strawberries--she had had to go back home and put together a special order. This pegasus certainly looked different when she was out of her fancy clothes...

"Aw, shoot! Ah knew Ah recognized ya'll from somewhere!" She magicked up a crepe and bit into it, getting a bit of whip creme on her face, which she quickly licked off,. She had the courtesy to at least swallow her food before she spoke again, though, "Yup! Them's definitely mah strawberries! Ah'd know 'em anywhere!"

She beamed proudly, and finished the remainder of the crepe quickly before turning to Starburst, "Thank ya very much for usin' mah fruit in such a fancy occasion, it's much obliged!"

Holly turned as she heard the light clip-clop of well-treated hooves enter the room. A very tall unicorn had entered the room--with an annoyingly smug look on her face. Holly, not the type of soul to judge purely on appearances, nodded her leave to Starburst and headed for the white mare with the pink mane, smiling widely, "Mighty fine to meet ya thar, miss!"

She extended her hoof companionably, "Ah'm Holly Dash. What might yer name be?"
