Ahh, there's a second one now!  Huzzah!

Adventure and slice-of-life are the closest I have to go-tos.  Occasionally comedy, though I find it hit or miss.  I tend to avoid dark and sad, or the like, because I feel I get enough of that from other places.  I tend toward stories with changelings in them.

I am working through a backlog, and Head in the Sand is on that last.  It'll just take me a bit as I've been functionally dead for the past couple weeks.

Hmm.  The way I play Celestia she wouldn't personally step in just because he's been taking an interest in dark or chaos magic.  She'd leave that to his instructors or local guards unless there was a really dramatic incident.  And while the charity auction is an interesting idea, I would rather have had that happen in actual RP in some capacity prior.

So the three ideas I have are: Scribe was trying to break into the restricted section of Canterlot Archives without knowing Celestia was there, and she gets curious; Scribe was doing some sort of magic experiment while in Canterlot and it backfired horribly, causing some kind of collateral.damage which Celestia needed to clean up; or he had some question about a volatile sort of magic and had requested an audience.  Let me know if any of these appeal to you.

Alright, it'll probably take me a while to come up with, but that can work.  What's the context?  My go-to option is day court, but did you have an idea in mind?

I'm certainly not opposed, though I think I should warn you that at the moment I'm a little behind on my RPs.  So there might be some time between my posts.  If that's not a problem, then sure let's go for it.

I remember that, unfortunately between end of semester things and the WWU event, most of my thread-related things have been put on hold.  The workload should lighten up after Wednesday, I'll try to get working on it then or shortly after.

Hmm, I'll also need to figure out what Naj is actually going to do.

In that case, my advice is to try some smaller RPs (less chance of someone dropping out and less people who need to be badgered to keep going) and have a sense of where you want to end it. Of the threads I've finished so far, the only ones that weren't like that were in events.

The only one that comes to mind and fits all those criteria* is the Ur Quan Masters. *Note: it doesn't actually have a class system, but there are a number of ships which can be unlocked and built which play very differently from each other. I like to use a guide when I play through it. Alternately, more and more MMORPGs are going F2P, and those supposedly have stories. I can't vouch for any though.

Welcome! Personally, I would make an introduction thread the section by the same name, and make sure you've read the site-wide rules as well as the rules of any boards you're interested in at least once. After that the sky's the limit!

It might be a common issue actually, I know I've only had maybe 20%-40% of my threads actually finish. As a rule of thumb, I find 2 to 3 person threads or ones where I'm willing to badger people are the ones most likely to continue.

And here I get excited whenever I see a little red '2'.

I think it's a case of 'vocal minority, silent majority', but I've seen them get pretty bad when it comes to let's plays. if you aren't doing a pacifist, true pacifist or genocide run, you're going to have a bad time.

Otherwise I haven't seen any problems though.

If I made a thread for newer players, I would go for something fairly open in concept, but limited to four to five participants including me.

Ideally, that should be easy enough for someone to jump into, while I agree with Starswirl that larger threads are harder to sustain and that can be discouraging.

Though I'm not a new member, so take this with a grain of salt.

I'm willing to take a look, though I'm not simply going to ignore the fact that the character is an alicorn. What I can do is have some parts of the analysis set aside the character's species entirely. I would like to probe the question of you chose this character to be an alicorn, however I think it's important to the overall character.

I have a number of characters that meet the latter requirement, and maybe one that meets both. Though we'd have to talk about just what she would know for the thread.
