      Harv, that's what Drum mutes are for! Or... e-drums... Ya know... which ever...

      How would drum mutes not work...? Perhaps you are not aware of their existence! Basically what they are are rubberized pads that absorb the vibrations of the drums making acoustic drums not deafeningly loud. They make drum mutes for both drums and cymbals! They are quite awesome. Sound-off pads are my personal favorite brand :)
