Ugh Call of Duty is now trying to make a game that basically copies Crysis, Halo, and Killzone. Why can't we just have a new WW2 or WW1 game?

Because CoD is a milked franchise takes nearly zero consideration about it's playerbase. No Cold War, No WW1.
