Well, my name's Josh. I've had a lot of awesome ideas for fanfics and they turn out pretty cool. I just need some people to read half of one that I'm working on. I'm pretty new to Fimfiction.net. I haven't posted my first fanfic yet, but i promise you I won't disappoint you. The one I'm working on is called 'Hiding the Sonic Rainboom.' Long story short my OC is the second pony to ever be able to perform a Sonic Rainboom and perform a Triple Rainboom. You shouldn't really worry though, he can't open a portal to another dimension. My first one will not be as good as the other ones I'm working on. If you pay attention to my first fanfic you can notice an easter egg that points out to some of my future Fanfics. Pay attention and you'll get it. If you would like to volunteeringly read my Fanfic, just tell me and I'll pm it to you. I wouldn't like to take up space. I should, however, tell you one of the future fanfics I'm going to do. It's about a lost OC idea of mine. His name is Fuego, meaning fire in Spanish. I come from a descent of Latinos so yeah.....Fuego is a half blind pony that was born with an eye problem. One of his eyes were coloured differently, one pink, the other green. The doctors said it wouldn't affect him, but it did. He went back to the doctors at the age of a colt receiving glasses for eyesight. The glasses were abnormal, they were shades. The shades discoloured everything and made them black and white. Thanks to my lovely friend Gentlemen, he's allowed me to use one of his OCs. Her name is Snow Glow, she is a blind pony. The two fall and love and Fuego's age expectancy is at a young one. This is the story of how he spends his last three days with his love. There you go! That's one of my fanfic ideas. I write lots of other things.....I'm writing a story about the zombie apocalypse. Well, onto my day. It's storming right now, and there is an inch of hail out there. Did i mention that my town is being invaded by Gremlins? My math teacher told me that my town was being invaded, during school.....I'm struggling right now with something else. The girl i like so much hates me, she says I'm to demanding. That's why. She doesn't even talk to me. My dog just scared me while i was typing this right now. I have my music turned up high so i can't hear the thunder and my dog is asking me to get under the covers....well....i couldn't resist....i let her in. Well that's my day for you and stuff....

Hi! I'm Sugar Song and I am here to write a fanfic about my pony. Sounds pretty lame, eh? It's my first time writing a fanfic so please cut me some slack if you are continuing. I do write as a hobby and hope to continue after schooling so I would love some feedback on how to improve because I'll be able to apply it to my writing that I am working toward publishing. My story is about the life of my OC, Sugar Song, a filly who learns the power of friendship, of leadership and confidence. I hope this turns out well and will post chapter 1 in a couple days!!

A Very Blue Day I'm Lyra Heartstrings, a unicorn mare, and I live in Ponyville. My best friend's name is Bon Bon, but we weren't always best friends. I wasn't always happy, either, but now I am! I hope this story will help whoever reads it to understand how I got to this point in my life. I guess I'll start with my time at Ponyville Elementary. I didn't have any friends, see, because I was a blank flank, and everypony else already had their cutie marks! The popular fillies of my class were Trixie Lulamoon and Bon Bon. Trixie was a unicorn, like me, except that her coat was a darker blue colour, and she liked to wear this hideous purple cape all the time, I remember it had stars on it...I used to stare at Trixie and Bon Bon alot, wishing I could fit in with them... Bon Bon was a little nicer than Trixie. She was an Earth Pony, so she had no wings OR horn, and her mane was layered: dark blue, pink, and dark blue again. The ends were curly, and her tail was the same way. Her coat was a cream yellow colour, her cutie mark was three wrapped candies, blue and yellow--and I remember that because her eyes were a similar shade of blue, almost silvery or grey. Her eyes fascinated me, and often times I fancied they smiled at me, even when her face was a scowl of disapproval. I kept to myself, mostly, since nopony wanted to talk to me. I bent my head over my studies, and I really applied myself, but some ponies just aren't scholars, and so it was with me. I made passing grades, but just barely so. My parents suggested I join some extra curricular activity...and so began my career in music. My first instrument was a Triangle (yeah I know, right? Who buys their daughter a TRIANGLE?) but they weren't accepted in the school band, so I finally talked my parents into getting me a flute. Like everything else in my life at the time, no matter how hard I worked at music, I just wasn't any better than anyone else. I was just another cog in the machine, another notch in the tree. Another tree in the forest. But I was determined (and my daddy was determined) that I would become more than that. That I would become, if nothing else, the tallest tree in the forest. Or at least one that produced sweet-tasting fruit. I graduated elementary school, and moved on with the next phase of my life. I still attended band practise, though I would need to try a different instrument. I tried everything. Music was my outlet, my way of venting all the terrible emotions I felt at the hooves of others. During my last year of schooling, the Band Teacher decided he would take a different approach, (I wasn't good enough to actually be in the band, I was a back up's back up for one of the celloists) and added to the band's arsenal a Lyre. (What is a Lyre? Well, it's a harp of sorts.) I remember that day better than any of the others. It was the day I got my cutie mark, which is also a Lyre. The sky was a deep curulean blue, not a cloud in sight. I entered the school building with my usual defeated sigh, for another day had just begun. I trotted down the blue-tiled hall, down a flight of cements stairs, and into the large, empty basement that was the entrance to the band room. A janitor's closet sat to the left of the door I entered through, and on the oppise wall was the door leading to the instrument room. My focus, though, was on the table in the middle of this first room. It was covered in sheetmusic, all of which pertained to Lyre players. And then I saw the Lyre. Bon Bon was holding it, and the rest of the class was gathered around her, the teacher giving instructions. The music coming from the thing in Bon Bon's hooves was like...nails on a chalkboard, if the pony dragging the nail down the board was also screaming because she had been lit on fire second before. It was horrible. And yet...something about that golden, U-shaped, diamond stringed instrument caught my eye. I took my place with the others, and everypony had a chance to play. Some of them made the music sound nice...but never more than that. Just..."nice". When my turn came around, I plucked the strings with the hoof not holding the instrument to my lap. The sounds was like...well almost like a rubber band pulled taut and then strummed; nothing special. The teacher rolled his eyes. As if he had been expecting anything different from "Loser Lyra". He told me I had tried my best, though his voice was so unconvincing, you didn't need to see him smile while the students snickered to know he was of like opinion about me. I wasn't ready to quit. I remembered seeing a unicorn gutarist once, during the Summer Sun Celebration. He had played using magic. I took a leaf from his book, and closed my eyes. My horn began to glow. I levitated the little harp out in front of me, and just...felt. I thought to the harp the raging torrent of my heart. It was as though I were a dam, and the harp an a crack which widened until the dam burst, and outrushed a powerful, gushing, moving song, designed to pull at one's heartstrings. The Lyre conveyed my sorrow to the room. The sound reverberated throughout the entire school, seeming to echo around inside me, coming from everywhere, and yet nowhere. I felt hot, scorching, bitter tears sliding down my cheeks, even when I opened my eyes to see my classmates were also tearing up...and smiling. Some were even clapping. I caught Bon Bon's eye as I played, and saw understanding. Her silvery eyes were shimmering with tears, and hers was the only face not smiling. She looked down. Her ears drooped. When I finished playing, I found a Lyre had appeared on my flank. It was my cutie mark. I smiled. A true smile, for the first time in my life. I had finally gotten my cutie mark! No one would have a reason to mock me, to scorn me anymore! I fit in. Bon Bon approached me after class. She was nervous, pawing at the floor with a hoof, and her ears still drooped. "Listen, Lyra," she said softly, "I...I'm sorry I never talked to you before. I really did want to be friends, it's just..." "Don't worry," I interrupted cheerfully, smiling at the Earth pony, "all that matters to me is, you want to be friends now." Bon Bon smiled then, not a really happy smile yet, but an almost smile. An I-could-be-happy smile. "So...what are you going to call that song?" she asked me. I thought about that. The song had been my life story, all tearing out of me at once. My life had been unhappy, but that was all behind me now, just as a bad day is behind you when the sun sets. "I think I'll call it...A Very Blue Day."

Thats probally what your thinking as you read this, and if so, kudos for reading this. The truth is I have alot on my plate, as I said in a comment to Hidden Scarf, working on my website takes alot of concentration. I am going to start posting on my poetry blog again whenever I get the chance, and hopefully get some interaction with others actually done, I feel I've become a little reclusive. Anyway, Vulpis is back in the library, albeit rather quitly Both my stories are going on a permanant Hiatus due to lack of interest, as well as the story I told you all Im working on, called My Journey, an HIE fanfic, I'll be posting its completed chapters soon for you to read before getting back to my afore mentioned website. If you do happen to be interested in the website I just mentioned, dont wory, I was about to describe it; OldWorldLegends.wetpaint.com is a roleplaying forum based in a world named Gaia, the creatures that inhabit it are based on mythology from the nors, premedieval age, and romans. There are also allot of completely origional creatures, and some based lightly off of other rping games. The system of roleplay is actually invented by me, sacrificing the normal leveling system for a milestone by milestone charting. Every time you reach a milestone, the attributes of your character at that point is what you fall back on if you want to join a different campaign with them. attribute points are self sorted as you earn TP from undertaking tasks like quests and combat, TP marks the way to your milestone and can be spent to increase attributes on a 1 for 1 bases as well as buy features for your character. The world of Gaia has an in depth History and Tavern Tales pages where any user can apply a story to be written, they'll get full credit for the story and the story will be included in the sight. Every campaign goes into writing the history of the sight and furthering it as a whole. So basically its a site started by me for an online TableTop/MMO rpg experience, written by the players themselfs. Sound great, huh, well the site is at its point where I ned alot of help and ideas floating around for how to improve it, unfortunately, not much of that is happening, so its still pretty much a skeleten undergoing beta testing. So there you have it, a discription of the thing Ive been working on that prevents me from writing fan-fic, as much as I would love to. ~Vulpi out.

The story will hit some pretty serious issues and will have some cerebral elements to it. It is a human in equestria story, but the main themes are how someone would deal with the stress of baring the fate of the entire world on their shoulders, the weight of new morally conflicting responsibilities, depression, and identity crisis. The sub themes are based on the principle of ownership / parenting and at which point ones creations/ offspring should be allowed to to operate autonomously and how much interference is too much/ justified, the importance of loneliness and companionship is also part of the sub themes as well. I'm not sure which Prefix is appropriate. These stories concern Surprise and an OC human, but they're usually actually about characters from MLP: Friendship is Magic. So is this Story:Cast or Story:OC? So yeah, I'm doing a series called Surprise Days. Here's the Fimfiction link: http://www.fimfiction.net/story/31132/Surprise-Days Basically, the stories are about Surprise and her pet human (... yeah) coming to Ponyville and getting involved with things. Each chapter is its own story, though I am going to start an arc soon. Also, I didn't know about the Ask Surprise tumblr or things like that when I started, so my interpretation is a lot different. Anyway, I just want to know what you think, and if you have any ideas for things that should appear in future stories, or questions you want answered. Coming up with ideas is always the hardest part, and input is very welcome. Thank you all in advance.

About Myself: I'm a classic gamer who does anime. I live in the southern USA. How I found Canterlot.com: Google How I became a fan of MLP:FiM: I read a bunch of hype about it at a forum I used to go to, so I watched out of curiosity. At first I wasn't impressed, but the more I watched, the more it grew on me. My favourite main cast pony/s: AppleJack,Twilight Sparkle *NoGiantRobots walks into the chat with slow, stiff, robotic steps. Then he stops moving, and seems to be stuck. Finally, he manages to reach around and press the button, which releases him from the robot suit... which just kinda disappears or something* Hey everypony. I'm NoGiantRobots1983. I'm not sure how much of the info I put in earlier appears in the actual post, so apologies if any of this is redundant. I live in the southern USA, and I'm a fan of old-school gaming, anime, and classic (like from the eighties) cartoons, all of which influence my writing. Three of you (if I'm lucky) will recognize me as the author of the "Surprise Days" series on Fimfiction. Am I allowed to link to that in introductory posts? I basically came here because, well, I just felt like I needed to be part of a better community than the one I used to be at (which I will let go unnamed, but it was not a dedicated MLP board--more like a general site that happened to have some MLP fans). You guys look like it. Greetings all, and does anyone have oil for my robot suit?

Well, I have an idea I've been toying with for awhile...but I've been kind of putting it off because I don't know how it would go, and it doesn't seem very realistic. It's basically Pinkie Pie and Vinyl Scratch. Maybe a little shipping, I dunno, but the main plot was gonna be something like Scratchie comes to Ponyville and plays a show and Pinkie comes (obviously) and turns out to be an awesome dancer and Scratch wants Pinkie to travel with her and dance for her shows. (That was a horrid run-on, I'm sorry.) I was gonna have them go to Canterlot and do...stuff that I haven't thought out yet, but it's not really that detailed yet. The problems I'm having is that I don't think Pinkie would just abandon her friends to go dancing with somepony she doesn't know very well, and I'm just not sure how the whole thing would work out. I would really love to do something PinkieScratch, but...well yeah, anypony have any thoughts? Ideas? Anything would be awesome~

I did a second story besides the ongoing "Trading Places" one I have. In it Twilight discovers something not right about the world. Something doesn't add up. Failing to find answers she goes to Celestia. The answer she gets is nothing like she was prepared for. But neither was Celestia prepared for her response. It is fairly grim/sad. It's been a while. Aside from writefriends and other stuff for this site, I haven't written any fanfiction for a long time, not since my Darkness and Dawn project lost steam and sort of fell apart. Finally, however, I'm back at it. I'm back to what I do best too, shipping. It's been about a year now since I wrote my first set of FIM shipping fics, two of which eventually ended up on EqD. I'd been in something of a long standing writing funk which I'm still not sure is through, but at the very least a chapter of this story has materialized: Hunters and Tamers, Chapter 1 The story is shipping, but it also has some more adventure elements and there's nothing at all shippy in the first chapter (these things have to build) which is also kind of short. Not exactly sure how many chapters it will end up being, but I doubt it will be more than five. The ship itself might be controversial... I'm not going to say it here, but It stars Gilda and if the title of the story doesn't give it away look at the tags for this thread... Anyway, since I haven't written a fic in so long, I might be kind of rusty or out of it, so feel free to give me critiques and stuff. If it's well received, I may work up the courage to submit to EqD again when it's complete. Also, this is my first story posted to FIMFiction (though I'll probably post it to my deviantART and maybe my fanfiction account later and also put my other fics on FIMFiction), so, yeah, that's kind of cool. Alright. So, I've been working on this for about a month. This story so far is (in my opinion) my best work. Before I post the link to it, I'll give you a small synopsis. It's not a HiE story, but from the prologue, you might think it is. Basically, Seaman David Flare is miserable with his life in the navy. After losing both his best friend, and the love of his life in a supernatural incident, it only gets worse. And on top of that, he is starting to lose control of the magic he trained so hard to learn. One day, he is pulled into Equestria, against his will, and wakes up as an Alicorn, only to find that there has always been more to him than meets the eye. Will he ever fulfill his destiny? Will he ever find out what truly happened to his friends? I don't know, yet. I haven't even started on Chapter 7. xD Also, this story takes place before the royal wedding, but features heavy amounts of Cadance. Also, the Mane 6 have their small parts in the story, as with any other fic I write. I don't like centering my fics on the Mane 6, so I give them small supporting roles. Rated Teen for Language! So, I was looking to put my story, When you can be anypony... who are you? up on FimFiction sometime in the hopefully near future. However, I don't have any cover art for it. It features an OC Changeling, so I don't think using a preexisting picture of Chrysalis would work. I also have zippo art skills to make something myself. I would like the art to be fairly good. This is going to be the cover of the story. This means that anywhere it gets posted, the art is likely to go with it. FiMFiction, EquestriaDaily, maybe even other forums. Cover art can also be a big draw to a story, and may even determine if someone will read it. You know why people say, "don't judge a book by its cover"? Because people DO judge books by their cover. You aren't going to pick up a random book that doesn't look interesting to you. You see where I'm going with this? So, from anyone who offers, I would like examples of your work. I may ask multiple people to do art, to go along with different chapters. It depends on how many people offer, and how talented they each are. If a choose you as the/a artist, then I will give more details. Depending on how much you're willing to do, I may request a background, or a may just request the character. Although if you're willing to do more and have skill, I may be more likely to choose you. Being that I plan to submit this to EquestriaDaily, it could also be some publicity for your Gallery (be it on here, DeviantArt, etc.), since I believe I can provide a source link for the cover image. In any case, the EqD links to the story will be to my FiMFiction account, and I will credit you in the description (which is generally what people see first). There you have it! I just finished the first chapter of a new fanfic idea, and would love to hear what you guys think: Chapter 1 Daring Do walked through the streets of Hoofingon determinedly, a mare on a mission. Her official title was forensic archaeologist with the Equestrian Museum of Archaeology, but everypony knew that she was much more. This, though, was out of her league. She could deal with any predatory animal. Tigers, pythons, manticores - she understood how their minds worked. But these stallions in suits were unpredictable. She didn’t know the rules of their game. It can’t be that difficult, she thought. Just talk them into giving you the authorization to go in and retrieve the artifacts. Easy. As she trotted up a long flight of marble stairs, she was struck by the sickening opulence of these bureaucrats. The city was crumbling around them, but they did nothing to help the ordinary citizens. Their administrative office building stood like a sparkling chandelier in a garbage dump. She stepped through the gigantic glass doors, and spoke briefly with the receptionist. Soon, she was gliding smoothly to the top floor in a cylindrical elevator. Her eyes were treated to a view of the of the metropolis - what little of it could be seen through the blanket of yellow smog. Many of the buildings were abandoned, their windows boarded up. The few structures that showed signs of life appeared to be casinos and brothels. Even now, Hoofington was still a tourist trap, perfect for the wealthy gentlecolt who wanted to enjoy a city with no rules. The elevator doors opened, and she was greeted by a line of sickeningly fake smiles, ponies arranged in a half circle around an enormous meeting table. “Good morning, Miss Do. What a pleasure to finally meet you.” “Likewise, Dr. Brownfield.” She shook his hoof. It was like touching the head of a poisonous snake. “Please, sit. There is much for us to discuss.” The oval room was covered in dark wood paneling, and the only light came from narrow windows. “Look. Just give me the paperwork to sign. I want to get to the artifacts out of that cave before the looters do,” she said, easing into a plush leather chair. “I’m sure you do. But the situation has grown … complicated.” She raised an eyebrow. “You sent me a scroll yesterday that said everything was under control.” He ran a hoof through his mane. “Yes, well. There’s been a bit of a misunderstanding with the rebels. They’ve decided to make matters into their own hooves.” Her mind quickly reviewed all she knew about this situation. The entrance to the cavern had been discovered just three days ago by an amateur archaeologist. Poking around in an abandoned dig a few miles west of the city, he unearthed a small stone door. An inscription stated that it was the entrance to the treasury of King Leonidas II, and that all his wealth was buried within, known to be worth many billions of bits. The amateur had tried to enter, but chickened out when he sprung a protective trap and narrowly missed being decapitated. All would be well if he had kept his big mouth shut. But, like a fool, he had taken the news straight to the press, and soon the entire world knew of the discovery. Despite the military guard posted around the perimeter, the Hoofington government had received a serious threat from the Iron Wings, a local paramilitary organization. They had demanded to be allowed to enter and retrieve the treasure. “So, what happened?” she asked, expecting the worst. “The guards around the cave were ambushed last night by Iron Wing troops. They’ve taken dozens of our soldiers captive, as well as a number of over curious civilians who were nearby when the attack took place. They are using the hostages as leverage. If we attack, their lives are forfeit.” Daring Do’s eyes narrowed. “What have you done to resolve this?” “What can we do? Every one of our available army units is stationed around the perimeter. But, shedding the blood of civilians is not an option. Some of them are just foals. They hold the trump card.” This is going to be much more difficult than I thought, Daring mused. Not that that’s unusual. “Their methods of archaeology are a little more direct than yours, Miss Do,” Dr. Brownfield said, cleaning his monocle with a handkerchief. “Even now, they are using magical energy weapons to blast their way through the traps set to guard the treasure. It’s only a matter of time before they reach their goal. “Officially, the city can do nothing. But unofficially …” he looked at the burnt-yellow pegasus, his narrow eyes reminiscent of a reptile. “I think I understand,” she said. “You want me to go in and get to the treasure before they do. Remove the prize, and their motivation disappears. We negotiate release of the hostages, and nopony gets hurt.” “Precisely. Can you help us?” It was far too dangerous. Her enemies would be armed with tremendous firepower and a license to kill. She had read about the atrocities the Iron Wings had committed in the past. With them, she would be lucky to get a bullet through her skull. But then, her mind turned to the hostages trapped by those monsters. She imagined a group of foals huddled together, cowering in fear from grinning soldiers holding assault rifles. It was simple, really. Those artifacts must be protected, those foals had to be saved, and she was the only pony in the world with the experience to handle such a deadly maze. She had already made her decision. “I’ll do it. How am I going in?” The ponies sitting across from her looked uncomfortable. Brownfield chuckled nervously. “That is the question of the hour, Miss Do.” She was indignant. “You expect me to sneak past an entire army of insurgents, into a cave filled with death traps, past a group of soldiers armed with magical energy weapons, and remove hundreds of pounds of treasure, without being seen?
