(Note if you wish to participate you need to read THIS thread first and Register there<3) It was finally ready! QuickLime had spent hours and countless bits to arrange this! Advertisements everywhere! Guest Lists! Food Prep! Spa treatments! The whole nine yards! In fact the Lime coloured Pony was pacing in front of Town hall a little nervously, mane pulled up in a high Ponytail for the event, a hoof moved to push her glasses up and for a moment a little bit of dread washed over her! What if nobody showed? What if she was fooling herself!? Though she assured herself quickly she was being foolish... The Town Hall was all prepared! There was a table near the side that was loaded with munchies to tide them over till lunch! A big bowl of delicious sparkling punch, trays of puffed pastry bites with cream cheese and spinach, peanut butter balls rolled in roasted oats, carrot and celery sticks, small cucumber sandwiches, all sorts of lite spa food ! By that table was a station with assorted teas set up, along with several pretty porcelain tea pots, so that you could brew a whole pot of your favorite tea and take it over to one of the sitting tables and enjoy it with a friend! There was Coffee as well and a small bar that was set up, though right now it mostly contained fruit juices and sparkling water, since Lime felt that the REAL beverages could wait till later in the evening... She poked her head in real quick to make sure everything was in order, getting out her check list, checking again... and again... going upstairs, checking the bedrooms, coming downstairs, checking the spa equipment (Hoof Soaks, hoof polish, curlers, make up all that goodstuff) And finally checked out the quality of the sandwiches by snagging one and muching it, she snickered since they were perfect! After the clock struck 8 am she moved to unlock the doors and put out the welcome banner, waiting on baited breath for the guests to come in, Going to sit at the registration desk, she had made each guest a name card, as well as a small bag of goodies! There was a sign by the door that said ”Please Register at the Desk! And Welcome to EQGirlCon!” This was a little nerve wracking but Lime felt like she could DO this! -
((OOC: This thread is a continuation of the Gem Hunt thread found here.) "Of all the worst things that could happen, this is THE. WORST. POSSIBLE. THING!" Rarity stammered feebly, tears in her eyes, as she paced circles around a small colt, lying prone on a cold cave floor. The Ponyville top fashionista was quick to making such declarations, and usually they were admittedly overblown. She had a definite habit of over-exaggerating matters for dramatic effect, but in this case her words might indeed be accurate for once. Her current situation was just that dire. It had been a pleasant, uneventful day of gem hunting in the mountains and hills just outside of Ponyville. Spike had been off with Twilight Sparkle attending to business in Canterlot for the week, so Rarity had instead brought Applejack's young cousin, Valen Orange, along with her to assist her. Things had gone well at first. Valen had unearthed many gems, they had had a nice lunch and had some pleasant if rather elliptical conversations. That was when Rarity's gem finding magic brought her attention to an incredible bounty of buried gems which if successfully extracted would have sent them home early. Making what in hindsight was a critical mistake, Rarity had chosen to dig out those gems and in doing so a massive cave in had been triggered. Her and Valen had been swept up in an underground stream that both nearly drowned the young colt and saw his head collide with a concussion inducing rock. Rarity had managed to save herself and the colt, but while his breathing had steadied, he remained unconscious. The unicorn herself was bruised and battered, but still lucid and without critical injury. She was, however, in the depths of some deep, underground cave, all alone with an unconscious colt. Hours had passed. Several hours. Rarity wasn't really sure how many. She had long since stopped trying to keep track of such things. Instead she merely sat there and occasionally got up and paced, hoping Valen would return to her soon. Eventually she started to wonder if the colt would ever wake up. How could she ever explain it to Applejack if he didn't? How could she explain it to the colt's parents, whom she didn't even know? She was shackled with guilt at these thoughts, but they were not the worst that crossed her mind. At that moment, Rarity couldn't say for certain she'd ever see Applejack, any of her friends or even the light of day again. This underground cavern could very well be the end of her. Grim thoughts increased the rate of Rarity's current pacing. She was hungry. The food had been left in their saddlebags which had been left atop the wagon they left behind. If their friends did go after the two of them, that wagon would be the only clue they had to go on. Maybe that would be enough. After so long it was proving harder and harder to be hopeful. At the same time, Rarity was a pony who had faith in her friends. If any group of ponies could find her, it was them. Maybe, just maybe, they would come to the rescue. "Oh, Valen darling, you need to wake up," she muttered quietly, as she looked toward the colt and let out a small sigh. -

It's amazing how well the brony fandom takes ownership of the Hasbro IP, practically by accident. Not justifying its morality, but rather just observing how deeply the show creators and the fans blend together as far as level of creativity. Of course, not every fanfic and original music piece is going to live up to the fandom's entertainment standards, but then again, sometimes the show doesn't either. Well, I guess I'm being a bit harsh. It's not like this fandom has forums in which people disagree weekly on the quality level of the episodes and the significance of some of the plot lines. Right? Episode 7: Dragonshy No Soundcloud was found for this one. YouTube will be my backup embedding process. This Song Made Man a Fluttershy Foozogz (PepperBrony) Orchestral Techno Yikes! Hearing this song makes go from considering Fluttershy as one of the weaker mane six characters, to thinking that if I say anything bad about her, I will be scolded so hard by her that I will turn into a pony. You know, actually that doesn't sound so bad. Maybe I will get in Fluttershy's face and tell her whats what. Of course, the fact that I'm human might fascinate her enough anyways where she might have me beat on the forwardness level. Meeting a cartoon pony in person? That's crazy. Meeting another living being? That's just part of Fluttershy's nature and purpose. But enough of the nonsense talk. Foozogz has made a few brony musics that defined the earlier months of the community, songs inspired of exact events in certain episodes. I'm not usually a fan of direct quotes placed from the show into a song to add spice, but this song orchestrates a good theme you can feel and the words Fluttershy speaks in it are only meant to guide the imagination along. The whole time I'm thinking of someone actually being disciplined by Fluttershy's calm, yet forceful words. And then the guy turning into a pony or cowering to the point where his man card dissolves in Fluttershy's flutter. It's pretty scary. I'm sure he had a good reason. After all, that rainbow one kicked him. Episode 8: Look Before You Sleep Tubby Wubby Pony Waifu (ElectroKalposion Cover feat. Feather) FlimFlamPhilosophy Original Parody Ok, so yeah, it's kind of a stretch. But 'Look Before You Sleep,' despite being a great episode with great character development, and a foundation for one of the best quasi-canon ships of the MLPFiM universe, there doesn't seem to be much dedicated music for this great combination of characters. So, I decided to share this one, an original song made for Rainbow Dash Presents: My Little Dashie. It's a great song and works well for it's humor purposes in the video, but then also doubles as a fun song to cover and karaoke with (especially since the song was actually started as karaoke in the video). If you don't know what a waifu is, basically its derives from anime where female characters were so attractive visually and mentally, that fans of the show would fantasize with the complexity of having them as a life partner in real life. Basically, its a fantasy wife. So if you didn't before, now you see the hilarity of the lyrics of the song. It's definately making fun of itself when the two characters, who can best be described as fat Rainbow Dash and a monkey dressed up like the Joker, apparently fall in love with each other, completely unaware of the stupidity that they ensue around them during the song. This cover is my favorite cover, because it is well sung. The fandom has some good pipes if you look hard enough. If it wasn't for FFP's desire to keep the show organic to his own voice, but then also have the gender swap with the character voices, I would have wished that these two would have sung it originally. This is it, the controversial and epic conclusion for season three! This episode should be epic no matter what and hopefully it will lead to even a greater season four! The episode airs at (9:30am Central/10:30am Eastern on February 9th). [LONG STORY; NO TLDR'S AT BOTTOM - EITHER READ OR DON'T AND SIMPLY ENJOY THE ART] In art class today, we were told to make drafts for linoprints (rubber stamps), in which black Sharpie was the part of the rubber block we'd keep, and the white, we'd gouge out in the final copy. Now, I haven't told any of my friends I'm a brony yet (eep!), but I'm trying to hint at it for a bit until they confront me about it. So anyways, I wanted to do something mildly pony. Originally, I considered Twilight's or Lyra's Cutie Mark, but they were either too simple or just too plain difficult for someone of my artistic ability to draw. Then, out of the blue, inspiration struck. Earlier that day, I was doodling on some paper. Of course, it started drifting towards my Equestrian wonderland of imagination, but I realized that the teacher or a classmate may see it, and my age group doesn't take kindly to boys drawing ponies. Instead, I decided to settle for Cutie Marks and eyes, until I realized that my Fluttershy eye (Fluttersheye?) was pretty decent. I practiced it some more until I was happy with it. At first, I simply drew the open eye. It was very simple, but I refined it a bit and I was pleased. I always forgot to add eyelashes later, so I did it right then and there. Next, the mane. I had originally intended for it to sweep out, but halfway through I realized it would be cuter to have her eye obfuscated by it. As such, I simply closed it to avoid the issues of half-drawn, badly-connected shapes. Sorry there's a bit of a tear (of paper!!!) under her eye - the lower eyelashes I had drawn made it look like stitches covering her eyelids, and I used stale white-out by accident. I simply rounded out the shape into a pleasing oval (while letting the mane bulge a bit) and it looked really chibi. I added the tiny smile and blush on a whim, and it came out really well. The other error under her eye was just a little marker stain that I intended to clean, with the same stale whiteout. The ears probably weren't the best idea (because then it wouldn't necessarily have to be a mammal, and wouldn't have been as easy to deduce as an MLP), but meh. The wings caused me surprisingly small amounts of grief - I just stacked feathers between each other until they looked like suitable pegasus wings. Ain't she the cutest?-
