Alarm? What alarm? Streak had always slept till the sun woke him, though he swore the princess was being vengeful after last night's after-show party and rose the sun quite a few hours early... The pegasus slowly opened his eyes and rubbed them, rolling over on his bed, but his mirror, placed accordingly, reflected the sun at him even from this direction... he sighed and muttered a few mildly inappropriate things as he slowly crawled off his cloud-bed. "you could have slept in today, princess, I wouldn't have held it against you" he muttered, a faint chuckle coming from his throat as he pushed himself up onto his hooves, looking around. As usual his room was a mixture of impeccably tidy, and impending disaster, but that just kept with his personality. he stumbled through his morning routine, getting himself presentable, and as he sat down he saw the note he left himself, there had been some contest, and he was supposed to spend a day with a young fan of his, while this was annoying so early in the morning, it still made him smile to think about the joy it would bring the foal... though he wished he had made a note of the foal's name... Finishing his breakfast, the Pegasus slipped into his wonderbolts uniform, not bothering pulling the hood up since it always messed up his mane and pulled his goggled over his eyes, streak then picked up his pre-packed saddle-bags that included a pick-nick lunch for him and his guest and headed outside... Cloudsdale was always a buzz with activity, weatherponies going back and forth moving clouds, merchants hawking their wares, and simple townsponies just going about their daily lives, more than a few called out to him and he waved, he walked over to the edge of the cloud, pulled down his flight goggles, and spread his wings, heading down and towards the meeting place, amused that it was on the ground, after all didnt most pegasai live in cloudsdale? then again he remembered a certain fan of the team who was a pegasus of some repute that lived on the ground, so perhaps it wasn't so odd... He glided towards the ground, keeping an eye out for the contest winner, no doubt he or she would be decked out in all kinds of Wonderbolts Merchandise... sometimes he felt they should scale back their offerings, it got a little awkward to see his picture everywhere, but it was nice to see the fans so happy so he kept his muzzle shut... As the meeting place came into view he glided down, without question, it was going to be an interesting day...
The city in the sky was always busy, people were always going and coming... and while it was not unexpected to see some silly pegasus foal flying around doing stunts, it was rarely welcome... When a fully-gown stallion was zipping around, nearly colliding with other ponies right and left, and laughing about it... of course at the same time, Streak had been doing this since he was old enough to fly, so it also had become a fairly normal occurrence. The residents had hoped that his new career would keep him away from the city... they were wrong... Streak zipped forward and made a mid-flight 'hop' over a cart, startling the driver who though the foolish flying pony was about to crash into it, but then he saw who it was and he just rolled his eyes. they had all give up getting angry about streak long ago... The pegasus did a reverse-corkscrew going upwards along a tower and zipping off, flying over the rainbow pools, leaving tiny ripples going all through the colors, making lovely swirls in places before the settled back down. The pegasus finally came to rest atop the dome of the weather-center, surveying the land of clouds. He loved to travel, but it was always great to be home.
(well since everypony else is doing it...) The warm salty breeze flew over the balcony of the hotel as the pegasus smiled, his for-legs laid lazily on the railing as he smiled, breathing in deep the the sweet scent. It was nice to come here on occasion, he rarely saw the ocean as nearly all the wonderbolt airshows were performed in arenas or at the least near major inland cities. Streak looked down at the pool below where other ponies were laying about or enjoying the water and a mischievious grin crossed his face. He slipped out of his robe and picked up his goggles, sliding them into place over his eyes. He'd give them something to look at and talk about... The sky-blue pegasus lept over the railing, corkscrewing downwards toward the pool, people were yelling and screaming, thinking he was some kind of loon who had decided that there was no purpose left to life. Oh how wrong they were, for this was exactly what he lived for! Streak pulled off an socking and impressive 90* turn so close to the water that he left a wake behind him, though not a drop touching his fur, pulling up and soaring out past the fence towards the beach. There were people yelling, some were cheering, some calling him insane, a few recognized him and rolled their eyes, simply writing it off as 'the wonderbolts are just insane' As streak coasted over the paths and boardwalks surround the beach, he found himself wondering if Spitfire or Soarin ever did crazy stunts like that just for the sheer fun of it, they both seemed pretty serious, but then they were the captain and male lead, respectively, they had to show responsibility... he grinned, glad he didn't have that position and was free to act like a foal. He gently slowed his wings and landed on the beach, trotting to a stop in the sand and pushing his goggles back up to his forehead. He glanced around, there were quite a few ponies out today, he wondered if any of them would recognize him, or if he'd be treated as 'just another pegasus on vacation' which he technically was...
