  1. Yūrei wasn't sure what to do for this job. Sure, she could just do it herself, but she felt this would be a good test mission for her newer members. Hmm. The weather in the city was rather nice, allowing the disguised changeling to move about without clothing on. She was currently in her typical disguise, her wings tucked to her sides comfortably as she sat. For now, the ninja sat at a cafe, sipping some tea while she watched the road nearby. She had a couple ninja hiding in a building a few blocks down, waiting to see her decision. She was torn though, they were both good ideas.
  2. Harvest was done with work and enjoying her day off! Goggles pushed up on her head so she could see, scarf still wrapped around her neck, and sporting her traditional turtleneck sweater. Her wings were a little tired, and she was a little dozy, but for now she just wanted to relax! She trotted down the streets of Trottingham, stretching her wings nice and wide, the delivery mare was now on the hunt for an elusive coffee shop so she could get her much wanted caffeinated buzz! Flattery doesn't charge them batteries but a double shot espresso with a shot of caramel and whipped cream most certainly did!
  3. Three Lakes CaféThe Three Lakes Café is located on the northeastern corner of Tatterstall Drive and Stampford Street in Trottingham, and it has been a vibrant part of the town's community for more than ten years. The friendly staff and excellent service coupled with a warm and relaxing environment make it a great place to spend an afternoon visiting with friends or getting to know new people within the community. The menu is also expansive; whether you're looking to enjoy a traditional cup of Earl Grey tea with scones at a relaxing pace, or a double-shot of espresso to-go to kick-start your busy morning, we have something for everypony! Really super simple floor plan New and improved floor plan thanks to the ever-awesome DamianMane: Menu
  4. The morning sun was a glorious sight, glowing cheerfully upon all of Equestria. It was the dawn of all life, its rising the most dependable and guaranteed thing on the planet. The golden pearl rose to a fanfare of yellow starburst, receiving the passed torch from the moon and its pedestal in the night. Ponies took solace in its appearance, knowing that Princess Celestia still loved her subjects, and delivered them the ultimate necessity. It was even easier to appreciate its true beauty in an area unperturbed by equine society. The sun’s rays cast long, snaking fingers of warmth unto all it surveyed, the light glinting like diamonds in the morning dew as it rolled off the many rows of trees; The stretches of shadows peeling off every hill, plant, or animal, a mirror of swirling darkness of our realm... Yes, a pony-free world was truly a muse to behold... Well, almost pony-free. But what impact did one humble little log cabin, containing three ponies sleeping blissfully, have on the general serenity of the Whitetail Wood? The natural symphony of life - The rustling of leaves as the breeze rolls by, the pitter-patter of woodland creatures emerging to face a new day - still marched on as ever. The house did not have the forebodingly tall smokestacks of a factory that billowed black smoke, nor spew a toxic sludge of waste into the nearby river. In fact, it did quite the opposite. White Pine and Samara built that cabin together, with the sole purpose of making as little adverse effect on the environment as possible. Sick and tired of the ways modern Equestria was hogging the resources to themselves and for their benefit, and even corralling the other sentient creatures into pens and milking their produce, the couple quickly married and escaped the grid, to start new life in the Wood. And, just as the natural life cycle occurred around them, they soon found themselves with a bouncing little foal of their own, a vibrant gleam in her deep blue eyes and a vivid crimson-and-pink mane. An autumn child, the filly was born directly in view of a maple tree, its foliage a spectrum of colours - from butter yellow to a most gorgeous shade of red. As a sentiment of their gratitude to the Cosmic Matriarch for giving them this opportunity for life, the new parents named the foal Maple. Many years passed, and Maple grew into- Oh? It seems I’m going to have to cut this detailed exposition a tad short. Our ‘heroine’ appears more than a little anxious to begin the act. However, as not to busy her with recording every little thing she or anypony else does or says, I will still be her faithful narrator. Now kick back, relax, and enjoy the show! Oh, and please don’t call the Fourth Wall Police on m-*BEEEEEEEP* {• • • • •} ~ping111 and Andifferous present~ A FIRST TASTE OF BUSINESS Cast/Characters: ping111 - Andifferous - And many more zany characters to come! 5. From the album: OC Art

My OC, Percival. As drawn by LovinMoonlight. Whether it's applying for an internship, investigating a museum robbery, or peeling injured airship crash survivors off trees... Percy's your guy.
  6. Hello! This is my first-ever RP, and I want to make it count! It's a worldbuilder for my OC's personality. I'm looking for any Trottingham residents, a pony please, and hopefully one with a warm disposition, but can be confused rather easily. Not ditzy confused, but sort of the pony to go "huh?" when someone talks too fast. I'll PM you the details if I can get anyone to apply. So remember: If your character: lives in Trottingham; is a pony; is sweet and warm; and is prone to confusion in awkward situations (optional); please comment here with a link to your character's app. Cheers, and thanks so much! ~ping111
  7. "Come, Ponius; 'tis your penance but to hear The story of your loves discovered: That done, our day of marriage shall be yours; One feast, one house, one mutual happiness." Ghost Writer shivered in delight as she heard the final lines leave Spotlight's mouth. The air around her tingled as she heard the curtain close and the roar of stamping hooves fill the air. She let out a sigh and set her Colta-Cola on the table backstage as she watched the actors line up for the curtain call. The stagehands waited until the applause died down some before pulling the curtain open to even louder cheers and hoofstamps. There was a twinkling in Ghost's eye while she watched the actors take their bows, each to a louder cheer than the one before him. Finally, the co-stars, Spotlight and Eloquence, took center stage for their bows to the loudest stamping of hooves Ghost had heard since... well... since their performance in Hoofington. The Two Gentlemares of Trottingham was going far better than she expected, and she had only Shakesbeard to thank for her success. She needed something to allow her a break to write an original play again, and she felt a little self-centered if they did runs of two of her plays one right after another anyhow. As the crowd continued cheering and stamping their hooves, Ghost Writer slipped out of the backstage area and into the crowd. She figured if she got out before the actors descended from the stage, she'd have a better chance of avoiding too much attention. Adoring fans and swarming ponies didn't suit the young playwright as well as they did her actors and actresses.
  8. Hope stared at the intricate necklace she had spent the last three weeks crafting, the gold and silver threads weaving to shimmer beautifully in the dawn sunlight. The burnished gold mare sighed in relief as she laid the necklace down carefully, tears of pride welling in her rose colored eyes. She had worked so hard on the piece, and all it took was one more item and her latest masterpiece would be complete. She had been frantically searching for the one pendant that would complete her work, a bronze medallion that needed etched with her typical logo of a heart. She took greatest pride in her newest piece, waiting rather impatiently for the mail pony to arrive with the needed medallion.
  9. Cracker Nut (Click for OC Information) It was s a cold morning over the Acorn farm. Cracker Nut had just woken up and was getting ready for the day's work. It was the last harvest of the season and the Acorn Nut Family needed to get all the Acorn stored in the barns before the snow fell. Pegasus Ponies could already be seen gathering snow clouds in the distance. The first thing Cracker does is grab his mallet and his pouch of assorted nuts, which is relatively getting low on nuts. He realizes that he is already late as he notices his older brother, Acorn Seed, bucking away at few Oak trees and at the same time, yelling a few orders to the other pony helpers immediately near him. He would get swatted again for being late so he rushed out of the house and went straight to his designated portion of the field. Unlike what most Ponies would do, he rarely bucked a tree. Instead he would use his mallet to do the job. Holding it with both his front hooves, he would stand on his hind legs and take a swing at the Oak Tree. This usually proved effective since he was able to exert more power into the mallet as he swung. This in turn would make more Acorn fall to the ground. This was especially effective for the larger Oak Trees, where bucking alone would impossible for a single Pony. Usually, two or three other Ponies would simultaneously buck at the Oak in order for the Acorn to fall. But with his mallet, he could easily do the work of two Ponies. The hours pass by until midday hits. The work progresses smoothly but due to the rush of things, Cracker manages to damage his wooden mallet. Having looked at the damage, it appeared that a crack started to form at the base of the neck where the mallet was connected to the handle. From experience, he knew that it was time for replacement. It was time for a visit into town and this excited him as he hadn't been to town for at least a few weeks. Making sure that he would make the best of his business into town, he takes enough bits with him and heads off. "Lemme see..." He ponders and continues to ramble to himself. "I'm gonna need more nuts! I wonder if I can get one of those Oak Mallets as well, I'm not sure I brought enough bits. Oh I wonder if the bakery has a fresh batch of Acorn Cake!" In no time at all he reaches the center of town. At this time of the year, Trottingham turned into a quiet town since most of the tourists only came during the hot summer months. There were a few establishments open and that meant that there were few Ponies around as well. Plus, the cold had started to settle in. Ponies preferred to stay at home near their fireplaces in the cold winter months. "Hmmmm... What should I get first?" He asks himself while looking at the few open establishments. "Of course, silly me! I need a new mallet!" Cracker manages to find the local tools shop and secures a new Oakwood Mallet. The owner suggested that the only wood that could stand a beating from Oak Trees was Oakwood itself. Plus he got a good bargain out of it as he tools shop had a year end sale going on. Satisfied with his purchase, he decides to stay a while, looking around and checking the other remaining shops, if they had year end sales as well. The excitement made Cracker's urge for cracking a nuts build up. And like he always did, he took out a few assorted nuts from his pouch and cracked the heck out of them with his front hooves. With the urge quelled he continued to do a little window shopping without noticing the time passing by.
  10. The Heartland The center of Greater Equestria, the Heartland region is a land of rolling hills, vibrant rivers, great forests, and vast lakes. Here lie the many various farms that supply much of Equestria's bounty, bustling cities where ponies learn, trade, and invent, and vast forests frequented by both naturalists and adventurers. Settlements of the Heartland Ponyville - A small, unassuming town in the middle of the Heartland surrounded by apple orchards and idyllic farms of all types, Ponyville is fairly typical of most Equestrian hamlets. It is the current residence of the bearers of the Elements of Harmony and thus has gained special attention from Princess Celestia in recent days. Trottingham - An affluent vacation town on the north shore of the easternmost Nimbusgait Lake. Many of the inhabitants of the town are seasonal, arriving during the summer months to live in their waterfront houses and enjoy fun in the sun. To the north of the city are picturesque vineyards, which only add to the upscale and touristy flavor of the place. Cloudsdale - Floating home to the Pegasi of the Heartland, Cloudsdale looms above the Nimbusgait Lakes. Here, pegasi work the Weather Factories, creating the different seasons, storms, and elements that allow the residents and greenery of Greater Equestria to flourish, and flight crews can often be spotted coming and going on a near-constant basis. Vanhoover - A resort oriented city nestled in the foothills of the Hasufel Mountains between the Everfree Forest and the Great Nimbusgait Lakes known for it's many outdoor opportunities for tourists, art scene, plentiful gardens, and general bohemian atmosphere. Major Natural Features Nimbusgait Lakes - The sparkling, pristine waters of the Nimbusgait Lakes are a prime feature of the northern reaches of Equestria’s Heartland. Trottingham is situated on lake shore property, feeding and housing the seasonal influx of tourists and athletes that come to play and train on the trails and beaches along the shores of the lakes. The Lakes supply Cloudsdale’s weather factories with water to make clouds and produce rainbows-- water that is eventually returned to the lakes by rains and runoff. Everfree Forest - Largely empty of ponyfolk, the Everfree Forest covers a massive swath of ground that is the full western third of the Heartland. The region is largely unexplored, though a few safe paths and trails are marked out. For the most part though, the Everfree Forest is home to all manner of creatures from the mundane to the mystical. Because of its sheer size, age, and legendary wildlife, nature is allowed to run its course unhindered by any form of pony magic of control. It is no surprise then that the ruins of the Moon Palace sit here, its crumbling halls now only home to the howling wind and hardy plants. The Velvet Strand - The center of the secretive and mysterious Peryton civilization, these isles are nothing short of irresistible in their tranquil beauty , and all who look upon them are awaited in feelings of contentment and joy. Everything that is built is designed to be fully integrated with the natural landscape to the point that from a distance, it looks as if there is no buildings at all. Other Geographical Features The Heartland is also home to Froggy Bottom, Equestria's largest swamp and home to its own share of legendary and strange magical creatures that lurk among the dark and misty foliage. The Hasufel Mountains, with its legendary tallest peak, Dragon Mountain, once an ancient home to many dragons, the mysterious empty caves of which, still exist. Finally the tall Allacor Mountains, which separate the Heartland from the Borderlands beyond, which only the most adventurous and daring ponies climb the remote peaks of.
  11. [Huzzah? Huzzah. Huzzah!] Dixie watched the countryside roll away outside the carriage, looking for something halfway interesting, if only so she no longer focused entirely on the miserable sensation of being jostled wildly by every protuberance and depression in the highway. Long ago she had given up trying to pass the time by reading when her novel had flown out of her grasp and come unceremoniously crashing down on her head. She was having the worst fortune with this course, and, exasperated, turned to her zebra maidservant, Bonnie. Doubtless she was as put off by the ride as anypony else, but kept her face masterfully peaceful. "Oh," sighed Dixie dramatically, slumping over. "I just can't fathom why we must endure this simply dreadful road. Can no one keep anything in good repair?" she asked rhetorically. Bonnie, long-suffering and patient, calmly replied to her employer and friend. "It does us good, Miss Dixie, to save every bit that we may. Besides, had we taken a chariot, we would have had to pay for two carriages." Dixie groaned, laying her head against a pile of luggage. "Well, yes," she admitted, in a tone that said she knew she was being petulant and unreasonable, but would continue doing so regardless. "But I never expected it to be so awful!" Bonnie merely rocked her ankles to the side, and canted her head. Dixie was in a mood, and was therefore beyond sense. The grey mare was, in fact, just about to launch into a renewed diatribe about the inefficiencies of this borough, spurred into greater public spirit by the zebra's indifference, when the carriage changed direction and the ride smoothed considerably. "Oh!" exclaimed Dixie, clopping her hooves together happily, her former displeasure vanishing like mist before the sunrise. "I suppose we're quite close, then!" And indeed, they were. Trottingham's outskirts began creeping into the view of the passengers, swiftly rising to the city proper. The city was built organically, and so the carriage ride bypassed completely the lower-class houses and industrial heart of Trottingham (iron, Dixie remembered, although the fledgeling industry of steel was beginning to make inroads into both the city's and the country's economy with the development of Equestria's rail system, to the eternal consternation of iron magnates who refused to change for one reason or another; this latter part she did not recall, because she had no interest in it, but it was nonetheless quite true), and moved through the middle-class houses and shops, before the mares arrived at 223 Purebred Street, where they would be staying with Dixie's Aunt Columbia. Fortunately for Dixie, her aunt was away on a holiday of her own, and would not be returning for at least another two months, giving Dixie just enough time to cement her place in Trottingham. After all, she reasoned, if Aunt Columbia saw just how much she was already invested in the place, particularly if she had made some friends, she could be coaxed to a more favourable position regarding her deception. But there was the tricky part: she was in Trottingham, ostensibly, to attend the prestigious finishing school and polish off her already extraordinarily fine (if she was uncouth enough to say so herself) etiquette, but Dixie had concocted the story to hide from her parents her real ambition of applying and getting accepted to and, eventually, graduating from, the University of Trottingham with her degree in teaching, while they paid for her tuition. Admittedly, fully half of the reason for her decision was to escape the clutches of that repugnant wretch, Farcy Ditzwilliam, whom Dixie's father had decided was the best fit as her husband, as apparently decreed by Fate herself. Farcy, and indeed the Ditzwilliam family, had no qualms about this arrangement; Dixie was less than pleased. She forced herself not to go into a mental inventory of the stallion's faults, but suffice it to say he was not very pleasant. Dixie stood outside the carriage, mulling over these thoughts for what must have been the thousandth time that day alone, when Bonnie nudged her gently with her hoof. "Miss Dixie, shall we go inside?" she encouraged, trying to nose her along. Dixie pondered this. "No," she finally answered. Bonnie blinked, surprised; Dixie grinned, pleased that she had stunned her normally imperturbable friend. "I think I shall try and figure this place out. There will be plenty of time for the house." She turned and, putting on her most heart-winning face, smiled. "Shall you join me?" Bonnie was unfazed, but laughed quietly anyway. "No. I will stay here and make sure things are settled." She gestured wordlessly to the young colts from the house moving their things inside. Now it was Dixie's turn to shrug. "Well, suit yourself," she said, at once disappointed and grateful that someone was there to manage the drudgery. "I'll be back before dusk, I think. But I hope you'll come next time, Bonnie. You really must socialise," she insisted, suddenly quite softspoken. It would do you good, and I'm sure the ponies here are much nicer, she wanted to add, but, thinking it pressing the issue, thought better of it and cut herself off. Bonnie had little chance to respond before Dixie affectionately nudged her neck with her nose, and turned to walk away, the spring in her step restrained but still noticeable. Bonnie sighed, rolled her eyes, smiled, and turned to her administrations.
