Boonie: Taming Tempers The Broonie, as its known as by locals, is a small magical creature, often considered of the fae, that have permanently settled in the Everfree Forest. They are short critters with chubby hedgehog-like bodies and long, pointed bat-like ears that sit about the size of a squirrel and are known for their habit of invading the local homes of those that live too close to the Everfree. They are known to camouflage themselves in fallen leaves and hurry into homes as they brush out the leaves during the turning seasons and whenever things become lost in the home one could be assured it was like the mischief of a Broonie as they love collecting bits and bobs left unguarded around a pony's home. When milk or cream is left out for the Broonie they return the favor by cleaning the hearth and home, sweeping it clean making the spring cleaning much easier, but Broonie's have a darker side to them! The little Fae are notoriously short tempered and if offended in any way they have been known to knock over mason jars full of preserves, spill grain and even tip over dishes and plates, shattering them about. The only way to be rid of an angry Broonie is to have a local medicine woman break the curse with herbs and springs, forcing it to leave the home forever. Once a Broonie is cast from a home it can never return to leave its good tidings. It is always difficult to understand the ways of Fae, but one thing easy to understand is a Broonie's temper is not easily tamed as their good nature is. - Haunted Paths Across Equus, a Pocket Guide

Cloudy Skies Jasper Dragon Azure "Iggy" Ignine It was a beautiful day in ponyville. The sky was clear of any clouds, the sun was signing, it was just slightly warmer than it usually was this time of the year... And panicked screams were heard from the everfree. A completely typical day. Two figures burst from the perimeter of the forest, a familiar Kirin and a Dragon. Both turned and hurled a fireball back into the forest behind them as they ran another couple dozen feet to be sure they were out of the range of its magic Iggy panted as she nearly collapsed "Everyone alright?" "I think I have at least most of my limbs" snarked Jasper, almost laying on the ground from exhaustion Iggy managed a faint smile "What about you, cloudy?" there was no response Iggy's smile turned into a look of horror "Cloudy? CLOUDY?!" Jasper turned to look back the way they had come and muttered a harsh explicative "They much have gotten him!" "We have to go back! We have to save him!" exclaimed iggy Jasper nodded but didn't move, barely able to keep from passing out from exhaustion... they both agreed that they needed to go back... but they were going to need help... -

It was a sunny day in the everfree forest, GoldDigger was at a bank of a stream panning for gold. When all the sudden there came a growl from behind him, Gold turned his head looking behind his shoulder noticed 4 Timberwolves "hunched down" and sneaking toward him snarling at him. Panicking Gold dropped the pan from his mouth and was off like a shot from a cannon. GoldDigger almost having them outran tripped over a tree root sticking up out of the ground spraining his leg. Standing back up Gold was surrounded by the wolfs "GREAT" thought GoldDigger to himself.

After an ordeal with a timberwolf in the everfree GoldDigger sat against a tree outside ponyville with his traveling pack next to him and his hind leg hurting badly from the wolf biting it. "Just how am I supposed to get around with my leg hurting like this" Gold said to himself. When another pony came walking down the path (join in ... if you want to that'd be ok * *)

"I'm telling you, it was huge! He must've escaped from Tartarus or something, all stone and rock" "You hit your head rather hard, you know. Are you entirely certain that you did, in fact, see such an unlikely creature? You may yet have been under some delusion due to blunt force trauma." "It was a huge rock... Thing, alright!? Like a bunch of slabs of boulder wrapped around a, uh, an ape or a minotaur king or something!" "If you're not going to cease your indefatigable yammering, at least mind your limbs, you feckless featherhead, before you injure yourself any further. You're not even supposed to be out of the hospital, much less cavorting about in public like this." The scene : an outdoors restaurant in Ponyville, one well in open air and easily accessed or overheard by any passing mare, stallion, or other such character that might happen upon it. A pleasant enough weekday for a bit of shopping about the market, picking up something at the grocers, or whatever one might decide to while away the daylight with. It was the happenings of two misfits that seemed to be louder than most, though - a rather bandaged-up red pegasus ranting at a somewhat dirty-looking coal-coated pony. Ignition, in all her battered pride, under the escort of Mirthbane, who felt as though his time might be better spent elsewhere. It had been an eventful sort of fright, of course. Two nights before, some had heard a thunderous roaring in the Everfree, the dusk air split with thunder and shaking of the earth in spite of a lack of lightning. The lone witness of the events, a pony with a bandage about her cranium, three breaks in her left wing, and both back legs sprained. But, in spite of her injuries, the punkrock mare hadn't kept herself shut up, instead deciding to take to the streets and spout her story to any and every individual who might have the ears to listen to it. Not that such happened to be the doctor's orders, but nevertheless there she was, gesticulating somewhat wildly over a half-eaten rye sandwich. There was more to the story, of course. A pegasus lost beneath the unforgiving boughs of a thicket of Everfree woods, a misguided meeting with a rather vicious brambleworm, a close brush with an ill-fated end, cut short by a great and unexpected rock monstrosity. But, as incredible as the event had been and as best as she'd tried to escape unscathed, Ignition had taken a rather sound thrashing, one that left her to be found in serious disrepair by one of the Everfree's more cantankerous dwellers. An unlikely rescue while the monstrosities fought eachother, much to the disruption of the surrounding forest, and that had been the end of the encounter. But only one of them had been proper witness to the creatures in question, and she'd barely escaped intact. The rescuer - or more accurately, the pony who'd managed to find her quickly enough to get her to safety - hadn't seen much of anything. "Oh, get plucked, you smelly old grouch. Those softwings in the hospital were just over-reacting, I don't need to coop up in some soapy nest for days on end." "You're only two years younger than I am, you know. But, if you truly wish to aggress your alleged concussion, far be it for me to stop you." However, squak and carry on as she might, Ignition was leaving out a lot of the story - Mirthbane was already familiar with it, after all, he didn't need or want to hear it again. Other inquiring minds, however, might be met with a more succinct retelling. After all, it was not every day that such a scene embedded itself in Ponyville.

I'm looking for an RP....and not just any RP..But a SPOOKY one...Anyone thinking of doing an RP set in the Everfree, or any other creepy location in Equestria? It doesn't have to be GRIM DARK, but it could be an ADVENTURE..With chills and spills and such? -
You walk in to you're room one day after hearing an odd noise, upon entering you're room you notice a scroll siting on your bed. The scroll looks oddly familiar and smells of fire. There is a red ribbon wrapped around the scroll attached to a golden seal witch also seems oddly familiar. The seal almost looks like something from my little pony, but that cant be right. You slowly remove the ribbon and seal setting them aside and proceed to open the scroll. "Hello human, one of my little ponies seems fixated on you're species, she seems to think that there is some two legged species than has no front hooves, while i highly doubt that this letter will go anywhere, of that humans even exist i have enchanted it. Any pony who reads this will be teleported deep within the ever free upon falling asleep. If you do exist i must warn you, the ever free is a dangerous place so you will want to prepare. You wont be alone, if you even exist. I have at the request of that pony sent out many of these letters. Signed Prinses celestia. You look around you're room and begin to pack. ((You must actually own what you bring, as always nothing in aproapet. Weapons and tools are aloud, only bring what you could carry.)) Fluttershy stood at the edge of the Everfree Forest. She shuffled her hooves nervously, gazing into the darkness that always seemed to loom among the spooky old trees. Logically, she knew that the path she was to take was safe. She also knew that she had many friends that would help her should something happen. But sometimes it was tough to overcome her natural fear. The Everfree was just... SPOOKY. The yellow pegasus took a few deep breaths. Then, with an audible squeak, she forced her hooves to move. Once she passed under the canopy, her resistance eased a bit, but her head still snapped around at any sudden noise. After several minutes, she finally worked herself up to a trot down the path. Fluttershy breathed a sigh of relief when she reached her destination. Surveying the hut before her, she tired to imagine why she had thought it scary the first time she'd come here. Well, a lot of that fear had come from the misconceptions she'd had about the zebra that lived here. Now that she knew that zebra much better, any fear of her home had disappeared. Fluttershy approached the carved door, then lightly rapped it with a hoof. "Um, Zecora? Are you home?" she called out, politely.

(OOC: While the adventure starts out in Canterlot, it will end up in the Everfree and be mainly in that area) Candy Catch-em finally got out of the spa after a full body cleaning that morning. She was glad she would never have a unicorn foal after Pumpkin Cake made a gooey mess of her wings. It was a mystery to her how an Earth mare had twins that were a Unicorn and a Pegasus -Until she had heard they were from Ponyville. Since that was the epicenter of the Discord attack and Mrs. Cake would have been pregnant at the time, the case was solved in her mind. Getting her mind back on the special event she had planned that day, she tipped her bush hat back and streetched her wings "Ah Much better!" The pegasus mare then checked on the nearest poster she had put up several days before. She read over the poster tacked on a wall post, asking for volenteers or other help for the chance to help move a rescue Manticore who promised to not hurt a pony. A ride in an air yacht and free food was guaranteed by her today. "I hope I get enough help today. It would make things much easier."

It was a nice, warm day in ponyville, a cool breeze was blowing and a few clouds drifted lazily accross the sky. It was still fairly early for a Saturday, so there were few ponies out an about, but this was what Pip wanted, he didnt really want a lot of ponies to see him... The little pinto was wearing a vest today, along with his neckerchief, on his back was a pair of appropriately-sized saddlebags, which were still laiden with supplies, it was clear he was planning to be gone most of the day, one might think he was taking a hike up into the mountains, or perhaps he was going to have a picnic down by the lakes... but he wasn't headed towards either one of those... he was headed towards the Everfree Wilderness...
