  1. Roleplay Type: WoEName: Bond. Valence Bond. (Sorry, I had to ;P)Gender: MaleAge: ColtSpecies: AreionEye colour: Blue (#2980b9)Coat: Grey (#555555)Mane/Tail: Quite messy and short, nearly black (#222222)Physique: About CMC, but maleResidence: Formerly an areion colony, but moved to the School of FriendshipOccupation: StudentCutie Mark: Still a blank flank, but has a strong interest in chemistry and potionsUnique Traits: Valence has a knack for following directions on potions sheets, which also gives him a bit of an edge in the kitchen, so long as he has a recipe to follow or an idea of how the ingredients interact when undergoing the cooking process (as in baking) History: Valence was born to two loving parents, one with a strong interest in electricity (Coil) and another with a cutie mark in potion making (Nightshade Bloom, who learned the art from generational teachings). The result was a colt who loved the scientific aspects of the magic of potion making. Both of them were very supportive of him and did all they could to nudge him toward his cutie mark-- in their own field. They competed to try to get Valence to prefer their own talent over the others. Eventually, their desires for their son to be more like one of them created a rift, and his parents separated over a cutie mark he didn't even have yet. It was painful for him, and he closed off, secretly trying to find a potion that would rekindle his parents' love for one another. In the mean time, however, he went back and forth between their houses. His sadness kept him from making any new friends, and his old ones eventually stopped inviting him out to play, tired of the damper he put on the mood. Eventually, his visible misery forced his parents to agree on something: their son needed friends. They also determined that they had probably been a little too avid about trying to persuade him to get a mark in their fields instead of letting him be himself. They needed to take a step back. The most logical decision, then, was to send him to boarding school, where he would be free of their influences. And what better boarding school to make friends at then the School of Friendship itself? So after the enrollment process, off he went. His parents agreed to discuss things while he was gone, but after the way they had treated one another, neither saw much hope for a remarriage. Valence now lives at the School of Friendship, where he is trying to break out of the shell he's created while also not letting his own personal misery get in the way of making friends. Character Personality: Valence blames himself for his parents' separation, and as such has a lot of anxiety over causing problems and making mistakes, as well as a fear of confrontation. As such, he is quiet and shy unless he is in an environment where he feels stable, such as the chemistry lab or potions hut. Whenever he is left to himself, he gives into sadness over the rift he caused between his parents. He is avoidant to friendships, but when he finds someone he trusts, he tries to be as much like them as possible, having learned from his parents that two ponies who aren't the same can't work. Character Summary: Valence Bond is a young areion whose parents split apart because he couldn't be just like either one of them (at least that's how he sees it). As such, he is nervous about making friends and getting his cutie mark, which may have something to do with chemistry or potions. To try to cheer him up and help him overcome his anxieties, his parents agreed on sending him to the School of Friendship, where he currently resides.
  2. Roleplay Type: WoE Name: Strawberry Jam Gender: Female Age: Mare Species: Earth Pony Eye colour: Dark Blue (#115986) Coat: Pink (#EA88AC) Mane/Tail: Bright pink with a white stripe (#FF9DFF / #FFFFFF) Physique: Average for an Earth Pony, she wears a set of purple earrings. Residence: Ponyville Occupation: Owner of Jams & Jellies, a small shop that specializes in strawberry jam, though does sell jams and some jelly desserts using other fruits as well. Cutie Mark: Jar of Jam with a Strawberry on it. She never had much of a talent for cooking full meals, but had a passion for food nonetheless. After many experiments gone wrong, she settled on making jams from the leftovers of an unsuccessful fruit-based meal. After finding she enjoyed this more, she eventually got her cutie mark in jam making. Unique Traits: Can tell when a fruit is at the perfect ripeness for making it into a jam. History: Born in Manehattan, she lived a relatively unimpressive life until she got her cutie mark. After realizing her talent for jam making would go nowhere in the big city, she moved in with her aunts in Trottingham. There she spent her days learning how to make jams, wine, and various other foods using fruit. Once she was old enough to set out on her own, she started selling her own jams at various events throughout Canterlot. A few years of doing this got her enough savings to open up a small standalone shop of her own in Ponyville. She now runs the shop “Jams & Jellies”, selling strawberry based jams (Strawberry always was her favorite), jellies, and other various goods made with all sorts of fruits. Character Personality: Upbeat and cheerful, Strawberry Jam is always happy to meet new ponies, especially if it means she can further expand her small business. She can sometimes be a bit slow to realize when somepony is avoiding a particular topic, and will over-apologize when she makes a mistake. She loves talking about fruit, and while her main talent lies in Jam making, any kind of preparation that involves fruit and sugar will hold her interest. She’s quick to jump at learning new ways to prepare fruit, even if trying new things not jam related isn’t her strong suit. Character Summary: Strawberry Jam is an upbeat and cheerful pony who runs a small shop, Jams & Jellies, out of Ponyville. She’s particularly skilled in making Strawberry Jam, but enjoys preparing fruits in all sorts of sweet ways.
  3. Roleplay Type: WoE Name: Gale Gender: Male Age: Adult Species: Griffon Eye colour: Blue (#2EB7E6) Coat: Lower Body: Red (#A21F0A), Wings: Dark Red (#821808), Feet: Yellow (#FFB500) Mane/Tail: Brown (#56413D) Physique: Average height for an adult griffon. He has two sets of scars, one over his left eye and the other on his neck. Residence: Small farming village in The Neighples Delta Occupation: Retired Army & Guard, currently a farmer Cutie Mark: N/A Unique Traits: He has years of experience in fighting, though he’s gotten a bit older he can still stand up for himself better than the average griffon in battle. History: He joined the Royal Army when he was young, during which time he was saved by a unicorn, someone he would owe a life debt to. After serving for 10 years, he was able to leave his position and become a guard for a small town in the Neighples Delta. It was during this time that his debt was called on, and he was made the guardian of a young unicorn foal by the name of Amber Shadow. Having no choice, he begrudgingly raised her as his own, and after a few years actually began caring for her as if she was his own child. During his time working as a guard, he had a bad encounter with some other Griffons, to protect Amber, and ended up with two sets of scars from the ensuing fight. After this, he left his position and began working as a farmer, something he believed was more suited to someone raising a foal. Amber would often bring back old books she found, or bought, when she was young. Gale eventually began reading them himself, and found that he quite enjoyed the stories and history many told. He won’t admit to enjoying it, but he loves sitting down and relaxing with a good book. After Amber was old enough, she set out on her own, leaving Gale to live alone again. He continued his work as a farmer, finding himself enjoying the calmer work over being a guard. Character Personality: Standoffish and short tempered to everyone except those he’s closest with. He makes it a point to come off as tough, bragging about his time in battle, or as a guard at every change he gets if he feels he isn’t being respected enough. When it comes to those he’s close with, like family, he’s quick to help. He won’t admit to caring about them directly, and will often make excuses when assisting to make it seem like less of a big deal. He’s more open to kindness from non-griffons after raising a pony as his own child, though he’ll never openly admit it. Character Summary: Gale worked in the Army and in the Guard in his younger years. After an old debt was called in, he raised a young unicorn as his own child. He’s quick to protect those he cares about, and is short tempered to those he doesn’t. He picked up reading as a hobby from Amber, and enjoys sitting down with a good book to relax.
  4. Roleplay Type: WoE Name: Udon Gender: Female Age: Mare Species: Areion Eye colour: One is green (#009900) and the other is yellow (#f1c40f) (I couldn't choose hahaha) Coat: Off white, like a rice noodle (#ffffcc) Mane/Tail: Brownish (#804200) Physique: Standard Residence: The Crystal Empire Occupation: Noodle cart owner and operator Cutie Mark: A bowl of udon with a pair of chopsticks next to it Unique Traits: Udon specializes in noodle soups, but just like the cakes make all sorts of deserts, she is also gifted with all sorts of soup. She has a very refined tongue and can often tell what ingredients were used in a food by blind taste. History: Udon grew up in a small areion colony on the outskirts of Equestria. Her parents, Rice and Egg Noodle, owned and operated a restaurant serving Neighponese food. Udon's grandparents immigrated from Neighpon when they were young, and their cultural legacy survived through their son and daughter-in-law's desire to stay true to their roots. Though they could barely afford even one, they ended up having three foals: Ramen Noodle, Udon Noodle, and Spaghetti Noodle. In order to support such a family, Rice and Egg would work long hours and go to great lengths to sell their food, including making deliveries two towns over. Their children helped out around the house as much as possible and, when they were old enough, went to work with their parents in the restaurant. Udon's brother Ramen was the first to go to work, and consequently the first to earn his cutie mark. His younger sister was soon to follow, being only a year younger than him. It came to her when she made her first bowl of miso all by herself in he restaurant. When the customer gave a satisfactory grin as he ate it, she beamed with pride and her cutie mark appeared. A couple years after her, Spaghetti earned his cutie mark as well (though, his cooking wasn't what Rice and Egg would call "traditional"...). But alas, there comes a time when every bird must leave the nest. Spaghetti was the first to leave, pursuing new ideas "diverse soups". He flew off to Celestia knows where right after graduating. From what Udon knows, he spends his time traveling Equestria and the nations beyond to gather new recipes and combine flavors, searching for the ultimate dish. Udon was next, but her time came much, much later. (Ramen never left, choosing to stay behind and run the family business) She left for Canterlot shortly after Princess Luna's return, wanting to be closer to the Princess of the Night. Upon arriving in Canterlot, she opened up a food cart. But she found little success. No one in Canterlot was awake at night other than one or two other areions, and they weren't terribly interested in what she was selling. So she flipped her sleep schedule to sell during the day. But ponies weren't too keen to do business with a bat pony. So finally she started wearing a shirt with her cart's logo that covered her wings. Only by hiding her identity was she able to achieve success, and she managed to keep the cart afloat. Even so, Canterlot turned out to not be the place for her. She was only scraping by, and she was sure she would be able to find more success elsewhere. That elsewhere proved not to be Cloudsdale, where the pegasi were instantly able to recognize her true species and avoided her, nor was it Ponyville, where although she was welcomed with open arms, her cart was destroyed by attacking creatures or some kind of disaster twice in one month. It was only after she received a letter from Spaghetti concerning the cuisine of the Crystal Empire that she decided to head that direction. She knew he wouldn't be there by the time she and her cart arrived, but she thought maybe ponies as loving as the Crystalites would accept her business. And she was right! She soon found success, enough of it that she felt confident ditching the shirt and revealing her true wings. Ponies lined up to get a taste of her delicious soup, and before she knew it, she was in need of a second employee. That employee would later become her husband (I'm leaving him undescribed beyond the fact that he is a Crystal Pony because I think it would be fun if someone apped her husband). Now, she and her husband pull their cart around the Crystal Empire, spreading joy and soup to all they meet. Character Personality: Udon is confident, but not overly so. She has a realistic level of confidence in herself and those around her. She is an introvert, but she is by no means shy. She is fine to talk to ponies, attend social gatherings, and serve scores of ponies hot soup. But she prefers those quiet evenings when she can curl upon on the couch and read a nice book. Thus, she rarely speaks unless she is spoken to, not really going out of her way to make conversation. Of course, once engaged, she happily will carry on a conversation. But she will almost never be the one to start it. Character Summary: Udon is an areion married to a Crystal pony. They reside happily in the Crystal Empire making soup in their portable cart. Though they are from two completely different worlds, they have made their cooking styles and flavors blend together in a unique (and delicious!) way. She is introverted, but will still be a good time if you engage her. She loves her family and her husband and her work. Sorry if it's a little weird. I wrote this at 1 AM while I was thinking about it. Also, anyone is free to app Udon's husband or siblings (or parents)! Just shoot me a DM for permission and to work things out! I would love to see more Noodles!
  5. Roleplay Type: World of Equestria Name: Amber Shadow Gender: Female Age: Mare Species: Unicorn Eye colour: Purple (#ae3df4) Coat: Amber Orange (#f4983e) Mane/Tail: Amber’s mane and tail are pale blue (#4a77a7). They both have a lot of volume, so she likes to keep them at a medium length, never letting her mane get long enough to touch her back. Physique: Amber’s a bit taller than the average pony, with a slightly longer and bent horn. She also wears two electric blue earrings in her left ear. Residence: No permanent residence, traveler. Currently in The Foothills of Equestria, Roam. Occupation: Amber doesn’t stick with a single job, to fund her travels and search for spells she will often take up odd-jobs in any town she passes through. She prefers to do jobs she can utilize her magic for, but anything will do as long as she can get paid in the end. Cutie Mark: Three blue triangles, stacked on top of eachother. The symbol is a representation of ancient magic (Not necessarily powerful magic, just old), as she has a special talent in understanding and using magic from before her time. As of now, however, she does not realize this. Due to a legend, many mistranslations over hundreds of years, and an event that took place when she was a Filly, she believes her cutie mark to be a curse. She got her cutie mark while practicing magic when she was young, unknown to her, a much older spell than she thought. The spell itself wasn’t powerful or important, but when neither her nor her parents were able to figure out what her cutie mark meant an expert was called in. The expert explained that the symbol matched an ancient symbol representing the ruin and destruction of kingdoms, and that Ember would bring nothing but pain and destruction to the world (This, of course, was not true in the slightest. She was no more powerful than anypony else and was not destined for anything great or evil like this). Fearing the worst, her parents sent her off to an old friend who owed a favor, a griffon, to be raised away from ponykind. Unique Traits: Amber has a knack for understanding and breaking down ancient spells and magic. If she is unable to cast a spell on her own, she can usually break the spell down into small steps. Even if the spell won’t produce the same result, the smaller spells can still be useful. History: Growing up, Amber lived a fairly unordinary life. She was always a little less outgoing than other ponies, but had no problems making plenty of friends. Things changed drastically for her when she got her cutie mark, which was incorrectly labeled as something representing the destruction of kingdoms (It was, in fact, just an old symbol representing magic itself. The misunderstanding stemmed from magic being used for wrong over hundreds of years and being misunderstood in the translations). As a result of the cutie mark misunderstanding, she was sent to live with an old acquaintance of her father’s, a griffon. It was difficult for her as a filly to live in an area where there were not only no ponies, but ponies were seen as much lesser beings. Because of this, she ended up spending lots of time on her own, sometimes spending days out of the town before returning. She also hid her true feelings about things as best as she could during these years, nothing good came of giving your opinion to the griffons where she lived. Once she was old enough to properly set off on her own, she happily left the griffon town and began traveling throughout Equestria to search for a way to rid herself of her cursed cutie mark. She spent many years searching for modern magic that could do this, but would always come to the conclusion that nothing like that exists in the current day. She turned to ancient magic, studying up on Old Ponish as well, and began experimenting with spells much older than her. She may have been able to understand ancient magic, but that didn’t always mean she was powerful enough to properly cast it. During a particularly rough financial time for her, she rushed through creating a spell she believed would be able to at least partially hide her mark. Instead, the spell misfired and nearly broke her horn. Luckily she was only left with a bent horn, and her magic was untouched. After this close call, she took more care to understand what she was getting into. After years of travel, and meeting many different ponies from all over Equestria, she finally started opening up more to friendship. It didn’t go well for her at first, but even though she never stuck around in one place for too long she ended up making a few close friends she writes to. Making friends that don’t judge her for her cutie mark has helped boost her self-esteem, to the point where most days she completely forgets about her original goal of erasing her own mark and instead simply enjoys parsing through spells. In the back of her mind, she still remembers the things that were said to her years ago, and fears that one day she will cause some horrible event to happen. She still doesn’t fully understand her own cutie mark, and she’s too afraid to seek out the answers herself. Character Personality: When first meeting her, she often comes off as dull, or boring. However, if a conversation turns to something she likes, she could go on about it for hours. It usually only takes one or two conversations for her to start opening up more. She’s quick to give her opinion on things, though she’s learned to hold back a little and tries not to overstep and insult others with thoughtless remarks on things she doesn’t care for. When she’s stressed, or needs to clear her mind, she will often go hiking in the wilderness, going through spell formulas in her mind. Character Summary: Amber Shadow is a unicorn. When she was younger her cutie mark was mistaken for a curse of destruction and despair when it was in fact an ancient symbol representing magic. Because of this she was sent to live with griffons for her younger years. After this, she spent years traveling Equestria searching for a spell to rid her of her ‘cursed’ cutie mark. Making friends along her journey has helped her slowly begin to forget her original goal, and she’s more able to simply enjoy researching ancient magic.
  6. Roleplay Type: WoEName: FlowGender: FemaleAge: MareSpecies: Kelpie (as portrayed in the Season 10 IDW comics)Eye colour: light blue (#22ccff). Her pupils are white and her eyeballs are blackCoat: watery blue (#0066ff or something similar) swirly stripes of dark blue (#000099)Mane/Tail: same color as her stripes, but with some streaks of lighter blue in it. It is in a constant state of watery motion, swirling like curls as it tapers off, giving it a curled look (think similar to Apple Bumpkin)Physique: Pretty standard pony physique, but always wet. Her legs features are sharper, with thin areas being thinner than in most ponies, making her hooves look a little larger than they are. She is perpetually standing in puddles and soaking wet.Residence: She was born in a village in Farsi, but moved to Fillydelphia to become a firefighterOccupation: Emergency responderCutie Mark: A fire-hydrantUnique Traits: Flow can bend and shape her body like water, though she cannot change states. She can also separate, fuse, and regrow limbs at will, provided she is hydrated enough to replenish them. She uses this ability to dowse fires, literally shooting her arms or legs like a fire hose into the flames. She requires frequent quenching of thirst as her body evaporates with time. When she is getting low, she begins to look sickly and thin. She also gets very tired. Her job takes a lot out of her, but she loves the idea of saving lives. She has a unique edge in firefighting because unlike a firehose, she can move her streams to target flames, thus using less water. As part of her firefighting training, she does have first aid experience. She is by no means a doctor, but she knows about as much as your average EMT. History: Growing up in Farsi, it took Flow longer than her friends to get her cutie mark. She was a water creature obsessed with fire, and her parents urged her explore more interests. After all, there just wasn't much use for a kelpie whose only job was to build fires. Anypony could do that. However, when one of her mother's new recipes went horribly wrong and she was able to quickly prevent a grease fire from destroying their house (without using her water abilities, ironically), they understood. Her talent wasn't building fires, it was putting them out. She received her cutie mark that night. As she grew older, however, it became apparent that her tiny village had no need for a kelpie who dowsed fires. There were no explosions or lightning strikes, no kitchen disasters, no... anything, really. That didn't stop her, however. She read books on firefighting and different methods used to extinguish different fires. Chemical fires, for instance, required more finesse than house fires. Some fires would be too hot for her to dowse with her own abilities. She also found that firefighters had to have knowledge in first aid in case they had to rescue someone. There, she found a niche in a larger village. After becoming an EMT, she was able to work with the local hospital as a first responder. She even got to put out a fire or two. But the village was small nonetheless, and she found it grew tiresome. When trade began between Equestria and Farsi, Flow was on one of the first boats to the pony kingdom. She set down roots in the first large city she arrived in, quickly acquiring a job at the fire station, where she has remained ever since, a valuable member of the team. Character Personality: Flow is positive and cheerful. She isn't super energetic, but she is fun and charismatic. Though she doesn't go out of her way to meet new ponies, she's not opposed to new ponies meeting her. She often uses her water abilities to comfort distressed ponies on the job, performing magic-show like tricks to cheer them, such as taking off her limbs and reattaching them, making her limbs fatter, etc. When she isn't working, she is usually in her apartment or with her friends. She is currently single but is looking for a partner. None of her co-workers are interested in her, so she has been going on blind dates at her friends' recommendations lately. She doesn't like it, but at this point she's starting to feel desperate. She also loves adventure, which is part of the reason she enjoys her job so much. The riskier the better! Character Summary: Flow is a positive and fun pony who loves adventure and danger. She uses her abilities as a kelpie to save lives fighting fires in Fillydelphia. Though she is single, she is on the lookout for a partner, tired of coming home every night to an empty apartment. She's given up on that partner being Farasian, though that was initially a priority. Now she's willing to give just about anyone a chance. She enjoys spending time with friends and dowsing fires.
  7. Roleplay Type: WoEName: Twinkle DawnGender: FemaleAge: MareSpecies: Unicorn (her aura is a pastel yellow [#fcfb9d]Eye colour: Green (#1fa308)Coat: Peach (#ffdc9c)Mane/Tail: Darker peach (#ff9659) with streaks of a sort of dark white (#edf1f5) Styled in the popular Canterlot style, with three curls in her mane and tail (think Lemon Hearts or Apple Stars)Physique: AverageResidence: CanterlotOccupation: Astrologer, also an underground cult leaderCutie Mark: An astrolabe - her talent is astronomy and astrology, predicting the future based on the starsUnique Traits: Twinkle Dawn is very charismatic and kind, which is how she was able to persuade so many ponies to join her cult, of which Equestrian royalty has no idea. She is also good at hiding her anger or negative emotions, which gives the impression that she is positive and caring all the time. That used to be true, but isn't anymore. History: Twinkle Dawn was born and raised in Canterlot. She was the first foal her parents had that survived, the others dying of health complications shortly after birth or during development. For this reason, her parents gave her a lot of special treatment and love. She loved the stars growing up, and after her parents accidentally gave her an astrology book (thinking it was an astronomy book) for her birthday, she became interested in that as well. She soon found she had a knack for finding her way around the sky. The stars seemed to speak to her, and she started writing her own horoscopes for herself, many of which she found came true. She couldn't make long-term predictions, but by analyzing the sky the night before, she was able to get a glimpse of what would happen the following day. After predicting her father's promotion to lieutenant in the Royal Guard, she realized it was her destiny to predict the future by watching the sky. One night, she saw something odd in the heavens. The stars seemed to tell her she was going to become close to Princess Celestia. This was the first long-term prediction they had given her. As time passed, other ponies began to hear of her talent, and she started looking to the skies to read the fates of her friends, then her friends' parents, and then other ponies around Canterlot. Though she certainly wasn't always accurate, and though her predictions tended to be vague, they were for the most part correct. She predicted the death of a loved one, an unexpected pregnancy (and then the subsequent surprise that there would be twins instead of just one foal), promotions, and accidents. It was like the sky could talk and she was the only one that could hear it. As her success increased, she received a letter inviting her to Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns. She was so enthusiastic about it the night it arrived that she could hardly sleep. When sleep finally did take her, she had a dream, one that felt different than her normal dreams. She'd had ones that felt like this before, and they usually foretold something about the future. In this dream, she was crowned a princess by Princess Celestia and another alicorn, dark blue in color, whom she did not recognize. When she awoke, she determined that her destiny was to become a princess. Dawn attended the school at the same time as Twilight, though the two never really had any significant interactions. Twinkle Dawn wasn't addicted to studying like Twilight was, but still managed to make good marks. While perusing the library one day, she came across a book, the title of which greatly interested her: Predictions and Prophecies. She checked it out as it sounded like it had been written by ponies with similar talents to her own. She was not disappointed. She could not believe the wealth of knowledge contained within it. One section she found particularly interesting detailed the banishment of Nightmare Moon using the Elements of Harmony. Some digging taught her what the six elements were. She reasoned that in order to use the elements, Celestia must have had laughter, honesty, generosity, kindness, loyalty, and magic within herself. Knowing this, she determined to make them a part of herself, too, so as to exemplify the qualities of a Princess. From that moment forward, she has striven to exemplify all six elements, determined to be ready when her destiny arrives. When Twilight Sparkle became a princess, Twinkle Dawn was hurt. Having known enough about Twilight to know she was snobby and introverted, she felt that she deserved the title over her. Nevertheless, she pushed her jealousy aside and was happy for her former classmate. After all, just because Twilight became a princess didn't mean Dawn wouldn't. But as time wore on, it became apparent to her that Celestia would not be giving her the title. She was released as Royal Astrologer after she failed to predict the rise of Tirek (she had seen in the stars that someone had escaped tartarus, but was assured her prediction was wrong, as tartarus was the most secure prison in Equestria), which cut her deeply. But still, the dream of her coronation recurred in her mind. But now, it was changing. Rather than Celestia bowing to her after crowning her a princess, Celestia was bowing to her out of respect to her title. It became clear to Dawn that she was meant not to be crowned a princess, but to prove her merit and take the throne by force. Working at the Canterlot Observatory, she was able to make more accurate predictions than ever. As she began doing predictions for common ponies again, she realized that her position as an astrologer actually gave her implied authority. It wasn't hard to convince many of her customers to her view, that she was meant to be a princess. They began having secret meetings under the full moon each lunar cycle, during which ponies would discuss why she was more fit to rule than the current administration, bounce ideas as to how to attract more followers, and then she would share predictions of the coming month. When Princess Twilight became the official ruler of Equestria, Twinkle Dawn could not contain her jealousy any longer, her ponies and she began to take secret action, vandalizing walls and statues with anti-Twilight sentiments and other similar actions. Dawn also visited farther cities, rallying ponies to her secret cause in the farther reaches of Equestria, and casting a spell of secrecy that would prevent them from talking about her organization outside of lunar meetings. The night before one of the conclaves, she had two visions. In one, she saw herself receiving magic from the Bell of Grogar and using it to defeat Twilight and proclaim herself ruler. In the second, she saw herself donning the Alicorn Amulet and achieving the same outcome. She knew she had to retrieve one of these artifacts to ascend to power, and she relayed this information to her followers the following night. Now, they search for the artifacts, hoping to find one or both soon so they can bring Twilight down and raise Twinkle Dawn to power. Character Personality: Though her plans are evil, Twinkle Dawn still strives to exemplify the six elements of harmony, and so she tends to be very charismatic, caring, kind, and fun to be around. She also has an above average magical ability, which she definitely worked to get. She is understanding and ponies often look to her in situations when a leader is needed but nowhere to be found. She does experience negative feelings and emotions, but is very good at repressing them. Most of the time, even she is unaware that her feelings might be negative or harmful. Character Summary: Twinkle Dawn is an astrologer who is convinced that she is the rightful heir to the throne of Equestria. She strives to exemplify the elements of harmony, which makes her a natural leader. She has used this to rally a following of ponies to her cause to overthrow Twilight and instate her instead. Currently, they search for the Bell of Grogar and/or the Alicorn Amulet, either of which she believes would give her the power to defeat Twilight Sparkle and take her place. She works at the Canterlot Observatory and gives astrological readings to those who wish to know their fate.
  8. Roleplay Type: WoE Name: Lunar Dash Gender: Male Age: Stallion Species: Areion Eye colour: Pale green Coat: Dark tan (a couple shades darker than Doctor Whooves), except for his wings, which are black Mane/Tail: Black, wing-like fins (standard for canon areion) Physique: Athletic, but not bulky. Fairly average for a pegasus stallion with a rounded jaw and muzzle Residence: Moonbeam Valley Occupation: Member of the Shooting Stars, a flight demonstration squadron Cutie Mark: Three stars shooting in the same direction (the top is small, the middle is large, and the bottom is smaller than the top). He received it at the Conclave when he and some of the other foals decided to race. He always knew he was a proficient flier, but that night, he flew faster and harder than he ever had. At the point designated to be the finish line, he arrived in first place just as some members of the Shooting Stars were passing. Impressed with his speed, they gave him a “Junior Shooting Star” pin. His heart swelled with pride and his cutie mark appeared. Unique Traits: Lunar Dash is a skilled flier. He is good at maneuvering in tight situations as well as fast cross-country flying (which most aerial ponies struggle with). History: Lunar Dash was born outside Equestria in a relatively small town called Luna’s Hollow, which was named, like many areion settlements, after the princess who was banished. From a young age, he looked up to the Shooting Stars, who were based out of a rather large settlement called Moonbeam Valley. They performed each year at the Conclave, and he looked forward to the show every year. They day he was given his pin, he vowed to become a member one day. He worked hard at flying, taking on a job as a mail pony to supplement his income. He practiced flight maneuvers on his routes, and tried to set record times to beat. His final record was 76 hours to complete his entire route, including 16 settlements, each spaced a fair distance from one another. From this, he became a skilled distance flier. From timing his individual routes within the settlements, he became a speedy and skilled short-distance flier. After a stellar audition, he became a Shooting Stars understudy, and as a result moved to Moonbeam Valley. As an understudy, he learned the the choreography for Star Spangle, one of the official Shooting Stars. In the event that Star Spangle couldn’t perform, Lunar Dash would take his place. This only happened twice: once when the stallion caught a particularly bad case of the flu a week before a performance, and once when he took time off for a funeral. Other than that, Lunar remained on the sidelines. He got his big break when Star Spangle finally retired, handing his position off, as was customary, to his understudy — in this case Lunar Dash. When princess Luna returned, a special Conclave was held to welcome her back (one she personally attended). After their performance, each Shooting Star was able to meet the Princess personally. They also performed at her welcome home party. Now, he flies at more than just Conclaves, but also at airshows in Aquellia and Equestria. Because areions still face some discrimination for their appearance and association with the night and Nightmare Moon, he is actively trying to prove his worth as a flier to pegasi, namely by promoting the Shooting Stars as well as trying to become the first areion Wonderbolt. He has yet to even make the reserves due to his natural sleep schedule and difficulty with daytime flying. Character Personality: Lunar Dash is competitive and hotheaded. He’s confident in his abilities and though he isn’t the top pony on the squadron, he likes to think he is. He’s a great at teamwork and can be serious when he needs to be. He aspires to be a Wonderbolt not because he looks up to them, but rather to prove to Equestria the viability of areions. Because of their fearful appearance, nocturnal nature, and reverence of Luna, they are often feared, which makes them the target of some discrimination. He hopes to end that. Character Summary: Lunar Dash is a cocky aviator with the skills to put his money where his mouth is. He has worked hard to prove he is a better flier than most arieons, and now he hopes to prove that he is better than most pegasi as well. He wants to make his mark on the world as a top-level athlete, and each night he gets closer to that goal.
  9. Roleplay Type: WoE Name: Sigma Sum, Alias Tangent Line Gender: Female Age: Mare Species: Unicorn Eye colour: Golden yellow Coat: Scarlett (think Big Mac) Mane/Tail: Auburn Physique: Pretty much the standard physique Residence: Manehattan Occupation: Secret agent of the Secret Monster Intelligence League of Equestria (S.M.I.L.E.) Cutie Mark: Sigma’s cutie mark is the sigma notation. As a filly, she was always enamored by mathematics, but it wasn’t until she got her calculus test back with an A+ on it that she realized her destiny and earned her cutie mark (the calculus test was significant because it was three grade levels higher than the rest of her class at the time). Unique Traits: As a trained agent, Sigma has picked up several skills along the way. She has learned some standard issue S.M.I.L.E. spells, including the spell which alters memories using a hoof mirror and a spell that can change the color of a pony’s coat. She was trained before the transformation of the changeling hive, and so was taught how to spot them, which makes her a good lie detector and judge of character. Though she does have some more difficulty with blending into social situations than other agents, she is still above average at it compared to other ponies. History: Sigma was born in Trottingham and lived a fairly normal childhood, making friends and attending school. Her parents enjoyed an adventurous lifestyle with her, taking her camping and exploring every chance they got. The areas they went seemed to be dangerous enough that most other ponies would turn away, but her mother and father were always able to keep a safe camp ground regardless of the circumstances. Her mother, a unicorn, had her cutie mark in animal handling (she worked at the Trottingham zoo) and her father, a pegasus, was able to fight off anything his wife couldn’t tame (his cutie mark was in boxing). Naturally, both of her parents were surprised when Sigma’s cutie mark was mathematics. They had expected (and slightly hoped) that it would be something… less book-related. But they were proud of her nonetheless. Sigma’s best friend growing up was a mare named Cozy Joy. Cozy often foalsat for her parents when they would go away on “business trips,” something she never understood, as neither of them worked at professional companies, and she was always invited to watch her father compete. When she got her cutie mark, the business trips abruptly ended, meaning she had less time to spend with Cozy Joy, but they remained friends anyway. As a mare, she moved to Baltimare to pursue a degree in mathematics. She worked on the production team at a factory doing calculations for better, cleaner airships until she received said degree, at which point she moved back to Trottingham to be closer to her parents. Her mother was feeling exceptionally fatigued, and she wanted to help out in any way she could. She worked in building design there to support herself and help her parents. Disaster struck a week before her birthday, when she left work early on an urgent summons from Trottingham General Hospital. A bear had fatally wounded her. She survived in the hospital for only a few hours before passing. Several weeks after her mother’s sudden death, her father called her home. He said she deserved to know the truth of the situation - the truth that not even those who had witnessed it happening knew. He said it wasn’t a bear that had killed her mother. He said she had been attacked by a changeling posing as a bear. It had been leaching love off of her since before Sigma had moved home, explaining the fatigue her mother felt. During a show, the appreciation from the crowd caused it to enter a feeding frenzy and it gored her mother before it could be contained. Her mother had put up a valiant fight against it, however, leaving it wounded for when S.M.I.L.E. agents arrived. This was where he lost Sigma. Why didn’t anyone tell her that to begin with? What was a S.M.I.L.E. agent? What did he mean “The truth that not even those who had witnessed it happening knew?” He explained that her mother and he were once part of a secret organization tasked with containing Equestria’s most fearsome monsters. They frequently were called on missions all over Equestria. Some of the less dangerous ones they were able to take her with them on. Her mother would always wipe Sigma’s memory of the mission itself after it was over, leaving her only memories of camping and fun. On more dangerous ones, they had to leave her home. But when Sigma got her cutie mark and they weren’t there to see it, they knew they were missing out on their daughter’s life, and decided to resign so they could be there to watch her grow up. After some pressure, her father also told her about S.M.I.L.E. She was intrigued, but vowed never to tell anyone what he told her. After her father passed away, she decided to join the organization, mostly to avenge her mother. She tracked down a hidequarters using her parents’ journals and demanded admission. The head agent of the branch liked her spirit, and she was signed on immediately. Her death was faked, and her name erased. She was no longer known as Sigma Sum. She was officially Agent Tangent Line. Training was rigorous, but with her intellect, she excelled quickly at operations of insertion. She was able to use her math skills to make speedy descents and chart the fastest routes. Athletic tests, however, took much more time. She started at a desk job, but after more training, proved her worth as a field agent and was partnered with a Clydesdale senior officer, from whom she learned much. When her senior officer retired, she was left partnerless for a time. The solution to this problem came unexpectedly when she was called on an emergency mission to run trauma control on an Ursa Major attack on the Friendship Express. It was a good exercise for her magic practice, as she had to teleport into the field and use stun spells to neutralize it. She was distracted at one point by an agent who dove into the burning train with an injured leg and no vest. He showed true bravery. She hoped she could be an agent like him someday. She was surprised, however, to find out as she was helping with “detraumatization” (altering memories so that the ponies wouldn’t suffer any lasting psychological damage from the attack) that this pony was not an agent at all. He was just a very noble bystander. She sadly prepared to cast the spell with her hoof mirror, when she suddenly had an idea. He would make an excellent junior partner! She offered him the job, and he signed on. She was officially a trainer. Currently, she operates out of the Manehatten Hidequarters, but she is prepared to relocate at the drop of a hat. She works closely with her Earth Pony partner, Agent Lope Lighthoof. Character Personality: Tangent can be friendly, but is focused. She has determination and once she starts something, she always finishes it. If somepony tries to stop her, she adapts and goes around them. With time, she can fit into most social situations, but prefers to avoid the need to do so. She remains calm in heated situations, and cares deeply for those around her, though she rarely shows it openly. She used to be much more friendly and easygoing, but the death of her father, coupled with the sudden death of her mother only a couple years prior, changed her, and now she has a proud need to live up to who they were. Character Summary: Tangent Line is a focused but overall friendly pony who is carrying the legacy of her parents on her shoulders. She has honored them by becoming a member of a secret monster defense agency which is in danger of collapse due to replacement by the STAR force. She has no friends, and according to all those she used to know, is dead. She is calm and calculating (literally. Her cutie mark is literally in calculating) but can still fit into social situations.
  10. Roleplay Type: WoE Name: Johdpur, Alias Lope Lighthoof Gender: Male Age: Stallion Species: Earth Pony Eye colour: Blue Coat: Sky blue with a white strip down his muzzle Mane/Tail: Navy blue Physique: Fairly average physique for a stallion, think the Doctor Hooves template Residence: Manehattan Occupation: Secret agent of the Secret Monster Intelligence League of Equestria (S.M.I.L.E.) Cutie Mark: Johdpur’s cutie mark appeared as a colt when he ran in the Running of the Leaves in Ponyville, where he was born. He wasn’t a part of the main event, of course, because he was too young, but he ran in the foals bracket. He and a pegasus wound up neck and neck in the last hundred metres of the track, and he was able to push himself forward, winning by a horse length. His cutie mark (three hoof prints) appeared, affirming that his athleticism was his destiny. Unique Traits: As a trained agent, Johdpur has picked up several skills along the way. He is a gifted charlatan, which makes him good at undercover operations, as well as a good lie detector; he was trained back before the transformation of the changeling hive, and therefore was trained on how to spot them, facial expressions and gestures being one of those methods. History: Johdpur was born and raised in Ponyville, and grew up with all the accompanying traditions, including Winter Wrap-Up, the Running of the Leaves, and many more. He was always outgoing as a colt and enjoyed all sorts of outdoor games and sports. he even seemed to have a knack for them. After winning the foals’ bracket in the Running of the Leaves one year, he earned his cutie mark in just the kinds of games and sports he loved. As a young stallion, Johdpur tried out for and made the Ponyville buckball team, replacing Pinkie after she retired. He made his name as a talented player, though he never gained national popularity like his predecessor had. On a return trip from the national championships, Johdpur’s train was derailed suddenly by a passing Ursa Major. Enraged by the pain of being struck, it began to tear the cars apart. Johdpur was still recovering from the impact as the car before them was crushed beneath the great bear’s paws. He knew he had to act fast. Adrenaline propelled him through the nearest opening just before the car was ripped apart. Only two other ponies escaped the carnage. And the monster still had several cars to go. Suddenly, popping sounds were heard all around as unicorns in black vests and sunglasses suddenly appeared around the Ursa, confusing it. They brought with them earth ponies and pegasi in matching attire, who immediately began rescue efforts on the other cars while the unicorns kept the Ursa Major at bay with magical beams. Johdpur did what he could to help, and managed to rescue a couple of foals who were trapped near the front. Most of the ponies were evacuated by the time the engine exploded. At length, the Ursa Major was tranquilized, and aerial support arrived to move it out of the area. Airships also landed to supply trauma support and medical care for the wounded while they awaited another train, which took it’s time in arriving. Before boarding, each pony was shown a hoof mirror by a unicorn and was explained where their injuries had come from and why they hurt the way they did. Their story was that the train had derailed, but that paramedics had helped them. No one on board would remember the Ursa Major or the Mares in Black. Johdpur was one of the last to get on. He had sustained a fairly severe hindquarter injury which he did not notice until it was pointed out to him by the paramedics, who treated him for it immediately. He looked into the mirror, unaware, as the others had been, that his memory was about to be altered, when the unicorn stopped. She commented on Johdpur’s bravery and skill in the situation and invited him to join their secret agency. He would have to leave his Ponyville life behind. According to everyone who knew him, he would have died in the train accident. The unicorn gave him a choice between not remembering the traumatic experience as it was, or becoming an agent of the Secret Monster League of Equestria. After some deliberation, Johdpur signed on. Training was rigorous, and lasting effects of his leg injury often held him back, but it was worth it. Johdpur moved from city to city, confirming changeling sightings, capturing escaped prisoners of tartarus, and running damage control on various monster attacks. He was no longer known as Johdpur. He was officially Agent Lope Lighthoof of S.M.I.L.E. Currently, he operates out of the Manehatten Hidequarters, but he is prepared to relocate at the drop of a hat. He works closely with his Unicorn partner, Agent Tangent Line. Character Personality: Lope is friendly and able to fit himself into virtually any social situation (part of what makes him such an effective agent). He is confident in himself to the point of being somewhat prideful. Character Summary: Lope Lighthoof is a proud but overall kind pony who was involved in a traumatic event as a young stallion and as a result became a member of a secret monster defense agency which is in danger of collapse due to replacement by the STAR force. He has no friends, and according to all those he used to know, is dead. He can fit into virtually any social situation and is a proficient runner, though his back leg makes this more difficult for him than it used to be.
  11. Roleplay Type: Friendship is Magic CastName: Discord, Lord of ChaosGender: MaleAge: Unknown, most likely as old as the world itself. The first known documentation of him was 1,000 years prior to the events of the Friendship is Magic seriesSpecies: DraconequusEye colour: Yellow eyeballs with red irises and white pupilsCoat: Predominantly brown, though with different colours to correspond to the different creatures that make up his body: Grey head and neck (pony) Brown torso (Eagle) Yellow/tan right arm (Lion) Brown/tan left leg (Goat) Green right leg (Lizard) Red tale (Dragon) Light blue left wing (Pegasus/Bird) Dark blue/black left wing (Bat pony/Bat) Mane/Tail: Black mane on his head but pink plates running down his tail and ending in a white tuftPhysique: Tall and thin, very much like a snake or Chinese dragon. He has four limbs but unlike most Equestrian creatures is bipedal. The level of muscularity varies from limb to limb but is proportionate in size to the creature it is from. He is comprised of at least ten distinct creatures (listed above, in addition to the horns, described hereafter). He has two horns (one from a gazelle and another from a deer) and a single fang. He has two wings but rarely uses them, preferring "snap travel" to any other form of transportation. He can manipulate his own shape, size, outfit, and form at will, which he often does for comedic effect (or to bring together four of Equestria's worst villains).Residence: Chaosville, EquestriaOccupation: Protector of Equestria: After being reformed, Discord is occasionally called in by the Princesses to help assess and neutralise threats to the kingdom. However, he does this only at his own pleasure, cooperating only if/when he wants to. He knows that the magic of friendship is sufficient (and is in many ways more powerful than his own) for the protection of Equestria, and so will more often encourage its use than employ his own. On the side, he is an avid Ogres and Oubliettes player and professional mischief-maker.Cutie Mark: N/A Unique Traits: Discord is the only known draconequus in Equestria. His magic gives him total control of all reality, and should he choose to use its full potential, he could thrust the world into eternal chaos (which he has attempted three times, twice being thwarted by use of the Elements of Harmony and the third time ending of his own free will in order to keep his only friend, Fluttershy). Chaos is a part of him and is actually one of his sustaining features. Without chaos, Discord would fade away out of existence. For this reason, he is often seen in random positions or outfits, usually comedic in nature, regardless of how serious the situation is. History: Discord's origins are unknown, but his first appearance was in Equestria 1,000 years prior to the events of the Friendship is Magic series. During his reign, he transformed Equestria into his personal playground of chaos, inverting gravity, spreading chocolate rain from cotton-candy clouds, changing textures of the world, etc. Only after Celestia and Luna discovered the Elements of Harmony and used them to turn him to stone did his reign end and he was imprisoned in the Canterlot Garden Maze for a millennium. At some point, the powers of chaos within Equestria became strong enough to break the spell binding him (pushed over the edge by a nearby argument between three fillies whose names we will not discuss for personal privacy reasons [it was the Cutie Mark Crusaders]) and he was released to corrupt reality once more. Discord is more interested in the thrill and fun of games than he is in being totally victorious and so he left open a way to defeat him, provided the Mane Six could figure it out. After corrupting them individually against their own natures, he practically cemented his own victory and resumed the storm of chaos that the Elements had halted one thousand years prior. However, Twilight soon learned how to circumvent his tricks and unified her friends once more, then used the Elements to turn him back into stone, ending his reign once and for all. Not long after his second defeat, Celestia ordered the Mane Six to bring him back as she felt he could be a powerful ally. With time, love, and friendship from Fluttershy, Discord soon reformed and proved Celestia right, making himself a powerful ally to the kingdom. It took him a while to warm up to the other ponies, however, and for some time, Fluttershy remained his only friend and sole motivation to do anything in Equestria's favour. He refused to lift a finger to assist when his seeds of chaos planted before his first entombment sprouted and kidnapped the princesses. In fact, his bond with the other ponies was so weak at first that on his first mission, he quickly defected, choosing to side with Lord Tirek in his attempts to overthrow Equestria. This taught him a difficult but meaningful lesson, and he has remained loyal ever since. He often acts selfishly but typically has the best intentions in mind. He has been known to feign disability and injury in order to prove the power of his friends' friendship, and even went so far as to stage a massive, elaborate attack on Canterlot on the day of Twilight's coronation for the sake of boosting her confidence (a plot that backfired terribly on him and the rest of Equestria). Character Personality: Discord is the picture of chaotic good. He acts only if and when he wants to, and is not a fan of work. He is more spontaneous and random that Pinkie Pie herself as it is within his very nature to be so. Though he is loyal to his friends, he tends to act in his own self interests first (unless of course Fluttershy is involved). He shares a powerful bond with Fluttershy that many take for romance, but is in fact simply a very strong friendship (he has already displayed in the series his distaste for and lack of understanding of romance and love). He is optimistic and incapable of not finding humour in any situation. It is in his nature to be as chaotic and comedic as possible. Character Summary: Discord is arguably the most powerful being in Equestria, having control over all reality, but only if he wants to be. He typically only exercises his power to the extent of entertaining himself or benefitting (in however roundabout a way) his friends. Once, he was the most powerful villains Equestria has ever known. Now, he is one of its truest friends. His best friend is Fluttershy. He loves Ogres and Oubliettes and all things chaos. He requires chaos to survive, in fact, having nearly been wiped from existence in an incident in which he tried to behave normally. He is the only being of his type and the only known creature (other than perhaps Tirek) capable of safely harnessing the powers of chaos magic. He loves to be the centre of attention and often does things simply for their comedic impact. In the end, he is a loyal and powerful friend.
  12. Roleplay Type: WoEName: Morning GlowGender: FemaleAge: FillySpecies: Unicorn PonyEye colour: turquoisCoat: #ffea4d (yellow)Mane/Tail: #78d0ff with a streak or two of #2eb6ff (light blue with a streak or two of darker blue). Pretty Starlight Glimmer's in manestyle, but not exact. It's a little shorter and not as poofy.Physique: Fairly normal physique for fillies her age. Think the CMCs.Residence: Formerly Canterlot, currently the School of FriendshipOccupation: StudentCutie Mark: A white, glowing circle (filled in), orbited on either side by turquoise comet-like shapes. It appeared one evening when her parents left for the Grand Galloping Gala, leaving her home alone with her two siblings, Nebula Star and Starshine, both of whom were younger than her. Starshine was still a baby at the time, and Nebula Star was only a couple years beneath Morning Glow. Morning Glow loved her siblings, of course, but they could be a bit... much. Nebula seemed to have nothing better to do than to follow Morning Glow around and marvel at her every action. Had he not been a colt, he would have even copied her manestyle. She much preferred having a sitter. That way, she could shut her door and read or practice her magic while an older pony looked after her siblings. But this time, her parents decided she was old enough to be responsible for them, and so did not go through the trouble of asking anyone to look over them. While she was occupied with changing Starshine's diaper, Nebula Star snuck into her room and looked at the open book on her desk. It had been left open to a spell she had been practicing. In an effort to impress his older sister, he attempted to cast it. However, instead of reversing the decay of a rotting apple on her desk, he missed and hit the desk itself, causing it to begin to revert to a tree. Hearing her brother's cry for help, Morning Glow raced to her room and assessed the situation. Nebula clearly had no idea what he was doing, and the tree was already beginning to push against the ceiling. In desperation, she attempted to cast a failsafe spell her father had taught her, which essentially neutralized any magic currently active in a given area. She had never successfully cast it before. But that night, either because of the weakness of her brother's unrefined magic or because of the sudden necessity behind her concentration, the spell echoed from her horn, bathing the room in her turquoise aura and reverting the tree back to a desk instantly. Unique Traits: Morning Glow has an uncanny ability to pick up on organization systems, particularly in libraries, without having them explained. It makes her very good at finding things in what appears to others to be chaos. It also makes it easy for her to navigate unfamiliar buildings without a guide, so long as she can get a general idea of how the building's various rooms are organized. History: Stardust was born and raised in Canterlot to two ponies of fairly high status: Evening Star, an alumni of the School of Magic, and Shining Stardust, an astronomer of good reputation. Though she was interested in both, she leaned more heavily towards her father's discipline, magic. For every one book on the sky that she read, she read two or three on magic and its history. When her mother would take her to the observatory, Morning Glow always brought a book along to read while her mother aimed the telescope. Though she always had an affinity for magic and a heavy interest in it, she was always harder on herself than she needed to be, always focusing on her inability to cast spells perfectly instead of seeing how well she was really doing for a filly her age. Her father always complimented her on her efforts, and her mother praised her diligence, but their words fell on deaf ears. Even her younger brother Nebula Star had no positive effect on her self esteem despite his constant reminders of how much he admired her and wanted to be like her. She mostly just found him annoying. At school, she focused on getting her homework done in class so that she would have as much time to study as possible when she got home. As such, she made no friends, which didn't really bother her. In fact, she hardly thought about it. When some foals in her class approached her about joining their Cutie Mark Crusaders club they were forming (following in the footsteps of the real CMCs), she payed them little attention, barely looking up from her book to tell them "No thank you." It wasn't until she received her own cutie mark that her self esteem began to grow, and with her confidence, her magic abilities also flourished. She was accepted into Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns, where she determined to become the top of her class. Unfortunately, despite her grit and constant study, she was unable to achieve that goal. She was still a straight A student, but was always eclipsed by more talented unicorns. Her parents were delighted with her nonetheless. One day, however, her instructor asked her and her parents to visit outside of school hours. Her instructor told them that after counseling with the Princess herself, they had decided a new course of study would be better for Morning Glow. They said she had the potential to do so much more, but was holding herself back by isolating herself. The counselor strongly recommended transferring her to the School of Friendship outside Ponyville. Her parents reluctantly agreed, and arrangements were made. As they helped her onto the train, they tried to be optimistic, but she could tell they were disappointed in her. They told her to do her best and to learn all she could, but what she heard instead was, "Finish as fast as you can so you can get back to your studies," which was precisely what she intended to do. Character Personality: Slightly uptight from living in Canterlot and introverted, though not shy. She enjoys studying more than socialising and is not very happy to be at the School of Friendship. She feels she has better things to do, and at some level, feels none of the creatures attending there are worth her time. She doesn't have much of a sense of humor. Character Summary: Morning Glow is a studious, level-headed pony who loves books on magic and astronomy (the former more than the latter). She is talented with magic, though she can often sabotage herself by being overly hard on herself, causing her confidence to reduce. For this reason, her councilor at Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns has sent her to study at the School of Friendship. She feels this will help Morning Glow excel better than any book. Morning Glow is, of course, not excited about the downgrade, and is determined to graduate as quickly as possible.
  13. Roleplay Type: WoE Name: Cloudfeather (Nicknames: Cloudy Feather, Cloudy) Gender: Female Age: Mare Species: Pegasus pony Eye colour: Light blue Coat: Deep blue Mane/Tail: Blonde-gold Physique: Average (pretty much the standard pony size from the FiM series) Residence: Cloudsdale Occupation: Cloud machine technician Cutie Mark: Three gears behind a cloud (like a “partly cloudy” symbol) Cloudfeather received her cutie mark on the living room floor of her house playing with a chemistry set she had been given for her birthday. She combined several ingredients which reacted aggressively. When the fog cleared, a small cumulonimbus cloud hovered in the middle of the room, charged and ready strike. Her parents yelled and dashed to save her from it, but before they could do anything, she dispersed it into the walls of the house. It was then that she realised her talent was weather creation and management. Unique Traits: She tends to wear goggles wherever she goes, either on her eyes or on her forehead. Though she currently works as a cloud machine technician, she has worked in the factory lab before and has been on weather management crews for events (she’s always said her favourite part about weather managing is unboxing clouds). She does tend to stay away from weather management, though, because she has had several unfortunate accidents while doing the job, including being struck by lightning multiple times, breaking a wing after being sucked into and then ejected from a thunderhead, and breaking her harm after colliding with a building that was concealed by some fog she was attempting to clear. When it comes to making thunderheads, fogs, or clouds, however, she’s the pony for the job! History: Cloudy was born in the spring in Cloudsdale to mother and father Raindancer and Marshmallow Breeze (respectively). She was enrolled in flight camp before she received her cutie mark, and while it took her a while to get the hang of it, once she started flying, she excelled quickly. She is an above-average flyer, but could never be expected to keep up with a Wonderbolts reserve. After receiving her cutie mark, she was known for getting in trouble for pulling weather-related pranks (lighting a storm cloud bomb during the inauguration of the mayor of Cloudsdale, setting off a tornado in class, etc.). She was also found multiple times in areas of the cloud factory restricted to the public. She was never allowed a real pet, so instead she made a pet cloud that she could shape however she wanted. The type of cloud he was reflected Cloudy’s mood at any given time (cumulonimbus when she was mad, cirrus when she was lonely, rain when sad, cumulus when happy, etc.). She named him Fluffy and still has him today. As soon as she was old enough, she started an internship at the cloud factory, and loved every minute of it. She was still an intern when Rainbow Dash wrecked the factory to prevent winter, and as such ended up on the cleanup crew for the damages that were caused. As a result, although she is a huge fan of the Wonderbolts, she is in no way a fan of Rainbow Dash. She worked in the chemistry lab for a while, and was sometimes called out to assess faulty clouds to see what needed corrected in the formulas. The lab was secluded and demanded long hours. It was tiring and usually isolated, but she loved the work and so continued to do it. During a brief time living in Canterlot for some post secondary schooling, she worked as a weather pony, but she got injured enough that she finally quit and moved back to Cloudsdale, where she returned to her isolated office in the labs. Eventually, her parents began to comment on the fact that although she was positive, energetic, and outgoing as a foal, working in the laboratory seemed to have killed that part of her. She never went out with friends (they weren’t sure she even had any), and she seemed to be gloomy every time they saw her. She realized that working the lab had isolated her from everypony she knew and loved, and so she applied for transfer to a different branch of the factory. The cloud machines came naturally to her, and though she had to conquer some social anxiety from suddenly working with multiple ponies all the time, she soon found friends in her fellow technicians and began to be positive and energetic once more. As part of her job, she was often called out to fix weather machines in towns around Equestria, including Canterlot, Manehatten, and more. Her best friend is another pegasus pony named Thunderwing. He’s cocky and often thinks he’s better at flying than he really is, resulting in some accidents on the job. The two of them work together often and share many of the same interests. Cloudy has no siblings, a fact that has always made her slightly sad. To compensate, she often plays with the fillies and colts around Cloudsdale and the other cities she is called to, making cloud balls and games to entertain them. Cloudy frequently visits home, eating dinner with her parents at least once a week, but lives on the other side of Cloudsdale. Her parents are kind and proud of their daughter. Though she loves her job, Cloudy hopes to one day become a supervisor at the factory, and possibly even the factory president if she’s lucky. For now, however, she is quite content with her job, and she has never told anyone of her ambitions. Character Personality: Cloudy is energetic and outgoing (though not on a Pinkie Pie level) and loves to make new friends. She relishes the opportunity to fix or service cloud machines beyond the factory, and is an avid sight seer. Any time she takes off work is spent traveling and touring (though she doesn’t take work off often). She is sometimes oblivious to obvious situations (she still hasn’t noticed Thunderwing’s many attempts to ask her out), and can be forgetful as well. To compensate, she makes lists so that she can be sure to pack everything she needs, follow all the steps, etc. Character Summary: Cloudfeather is a pegasus pony employed as a weather machine technician at the Cloudsdale weather factory. She is energetic and outgoing and loves to make new friends. She is always accompanied by her pet cloud, Fluffy. She usually has a list of some kind on hand (a habit she got into while working in the lab) because she is known to be forgetful and sometimes even a little clumsy. She lives in Cloudsdale but is not chained to the city; she is known to travel around Equestria. I don’t have an image for her yet, but i’ll add one once i do! edit: i changed some wording to make it sound better
  14. Roleplay Type: Canon Character Cast Name: Zecora Gender: Female Age: Mare Species: Zebra Eye colour: Dark Cyan Coat: A zebra coat is always black and white. Mane/Tail: The tail, no different, white and black. Physique: Walking a lot helps keep one trim, but plenty of good food can balance that out a bit. Residence: Ponyville, but not in the town. An old and large forest tree was hollowed out for a humble hut, which is where the story begins anew. Occupation: An herbalist by trade, a sage by requests for wisdom. Cutie Mark: The Healing Sun is a unique mark. Depicted by the grey spiral, for the solar orb, surrounded by small triangles, for it's rays. Jewelry: Golden rings around her foreleg. Golden Dzilla [dzeela] hoops around her neck. Large gold loops in her ears. Unique traits: Always speaking in rhyming couplets. It is a form of mental exercise to keep one's wit sharp, even into aging years. History: Not many know about the origins of Zebra in general, many often speculate that they came from the far south east but no one really knows for sure. All any know about Zecora is that she is from "a faraway land". If you would like to know more, she may just keep her secrets, but I'm sure the princess of friendship might know something. (See MLP:FIM S01E09 "Bridle Gossip") Character Personality: Not necessarily shy, but not very talkative, she speaks when she has something important to say. Thinking deeply about her next words helps her not say something she might regret. Taught from a young age to speak with purpose and clarity, she takes it to the next step and thinks through everything she says well enough to rhyme in couplets every time she says anything. Any creature in need of aid can expect this zebra glad to provide wisdom in how to solve things yourself, a listening ear to express yourself or simply a helping hoof, but do not mistake her kindness for weakness. Her strong heart and wise mind will always bring her to the best path she can follow. A leader of sorts, as a sage or a shaman. Learned in medicinal flora and concoctions therewith, she can often find a solution to most problems, whether they are of the body, heart or mind. Her mentors taught her to always listen to everything, for knowledge is the best tool for every situation. She takes this a step further and seems to often wait for everyone to be done talking before she shares her thoughts... In rhyming couplets. "It is best to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove any doubt". This was said many times to her when she spoke out of turn and didn't think her words through. Wisdom only comes from taking the time to understand. If you rush into things, you can not know them very well. Examine what is before you, connect it to things you know, learn about things you do not yet understand and grow from your new knowledge. She keeps to the paths of wisdom by taking the time to think of a rhyme, one that can display what she wants to say. Character Summary: While most are busy in town, she is hard at work, gathering ingredients and working on concoctions, whether they be potions or a tasty stew. Some visit for wisdom, others want to find some trouble's cure, but a new friend is what she will likely be looking for. She will happily listen, for that is an important thing, else you might not listen to the wisdom she'll offer. Let me know if you feel I forgot any important details about this well known character.

  17. Roleplay Type: Literate Name: Dream Weaver Sex: Female Age: Young Mare Species: Unicorn Eye colour: Fuschia Coat: Seafoam Green Mane/Tail: Long, with streaks of pastel yellow, pink, and blue, slightly curled at the ends Physique: Average Residence: Cradle Plaza/Canterlot Occupation: Dream Pony Cutie Mark: A stitched shooting star with a tail that matches her mane. It appeared halfway through her training when she snuck out to chase Forever Moor one night, almost falling off the balcony after slaying her first real nightmare. History: A long time ago, a plague of nightmares swept across all of Equestria. Unicorns, pegasi, and earth ponies alike were hindered by constant visions and insomnia caused by this astounding phenomenon. The ponies lived in fear and unrest. Princess Celestia gathered together a group of “Dream Ponies” — specially-trained, magically-blessed ponies with the ability to enter dreams and combat nightmares — and sent them to be the force to successfully bring an end to the nightmares’ reign while Princess Luna was under the guise of 'Nightmare Moon'. Since then, fewer and fewer Dream Ponies have come about. Only two known Dream Ponies are known to currently exist. Dream Weaver was born and raised in Canterlot, brought up by her mother and father Maybelle and Atticus, respectively. She would go on to receive specialized training from the Royal Guard in order to perform her duty (as well as a magical blessing from the Princess herself) all while Canterlot searched for the second known Dream Pony. It was only after she graduated from training that she was told she'd be living on her own in Cradle Plaza, a platform that overlooks Canterlot. Although she had to leave her family in order to serve her duty, it was there that she met her apprentice and best friend, Copernicus. Once Princess Luna was reformed and returned to her duty cleaning up Equestria's nightmares in one fell swoop, it left Dream Weaver and Copernicus out of a job, forcing the two to live seperately in Canterlot. Around the time of Twilight Sparkle's coronation and the birth of Cadence's & Shining Armor's child, the princesses realized that there were more to their duties than they could fulfill alone. Luna personally assigned Dream Weaver and Copernicus back to Cradle Plaza to keep a watch out for Forever Moor, occasionally returning to Canterlot to report their findings. Now she uses her magic to fight her rival, Forever Moor, and prevent him from spreading a plague of nightmares across Equestria. Character Personality: Dream Weaver values duty and righteousness over all else. Her job comes first -- that is, when her friends aren't at risk. Since she doesn't get out much, it is sometimes difficult for her to make friends; however, she is trying hard to come out of her shell. It takes quite a while to earn her trust, and once you lose it, good luck getting it back! Character Summary: Dream Weaver is a nightmare-fighting unicorn who lives alongside her trusty apprentice in Cradle Plaza. When she's not engaging stubborn nightmares in hoof-to-hoof combat, she likes sewing, drinking flavored tea, and listening to relaxing music. She doesn't require or get much sleep at all, so it's easy for her to get sick. Using her magic too much causes her to suffer from chronic migraines, as well as short-term memory loss. She owns a pet goldfish named Leo.
  18. Roleplay Type: Free-for-all Name: Apple Stars Sex: Male Age: Stallion Species: Earth Pony Eye color: A bright baby blue Coat: Blonde with white freckles on his cheeks Mane/Tail: Dark brunette tied in a short spiked ponytail with an orange mane tie Physique: Skinny though with a bit of muscle to him. Residence: He tends to move around a lot due to his job. Mostly in Manehattan or Canterlot but he'll always come back to Appleloosa one way or another Occupation: Stars is a famous country-styled singer who often visits different places each week to sing for the ponies and other species of Equestria. Cutie Mark: A green apple with three stars flowing down the side of the apple Whilst on a trip with his father to help them bond and make up for lost time Apple had gotten back into secretly singing. It had always helped him calm himself when he was a foal. As they slowly started to bond over travel and discussions about the farm and life being famous the colt was confident enough to show his father his singing voice and when he did, things took a big turn. He felt it was for the better. After some convincing and encouragement, Cunning had set up a small show in Canterlot where all the primmest and proper ponies live. His son would be the star and show off his singing voice to the world but Apple didn't know if he was ready. In fact on the night of the show, he ran from it before it began, way too anxious to show other ponies his voice afraid of judgment and looks of disgust. He didn't feel like he could handle all those eyes on him and face those ponies head on. It was too much so he found a small alley way to hide in and stayed there for a few hours. Making sure he was hidden within his covers of old boxes and a dumpster. Of course, all too soon in his opinion one of his father's bodyguards found him and made him walk back to his father. Unable to handle the pressure Stars cried on Cunning's shoulder all while he comforted his son with soft words and praise. Telling him that there was no reason to be scared and that he was here for him. That was a moment in his life that became precious to him but he still didn't know what to sing and that's when the best thing his father has ever said to him came forth. "Sing about what you love" His farm, his family, that's what he loved the most. Suddenly finding lyrics in his head Stars got on that stage and paid no mind to the audience, only singing about what he loved. He soon heard cheering and hooves clapping together but continued to sing his heart out, feeling what his true passion was and what he was meant to be. Right then and there his cutie mark appeared. Unique Traits: The only earth pony in his immediate family who has an apple in his cutie mark History: Foal years - Born in the small town of Appleloosa to his mother Orange Cider and his father Cunning Shades, Apple Stars was named partly after his great, great grandfather who used to be part of the apple family making him a distant apple along with his mother. As a foal, he was a shy and timid thing. Always clinging to his mother and crying whenever she had to go to work on the farm. He was lonely most of the time due to his father always being out at shows and being a model around Canterlot. This is what sparked a creativeness in the young foal as he started making up his own games to play instead of crying all day. It included singing and pretending to farm like his mother. Colt years - As he grew up, Stars assumed he'd just be an apple farmer like his mother since he had given up on singing due to how shy he was around other ponies. He was perfectly fine with being an apple farmer however and grew close with his mother. Often remarked as mama's boy by his cousins. Of course, Orange was rather prideful of that name and would always call him that resulting in him feeling embarrassed most of the time. Though despite this, he was still a rather hard-working stallion and did his best to support his mother while working the front at a small little bar that Orange's family had owned for generations. . When his father came home there was always some uncomfortable distance between them. Since he was never around much of his life there had always been some sort of distance between them. Orange wasn't fond of the distance between her two boys and came up with a plan to bring them together and sent them off on a trip with each other to further their relationship having no idea that's what changed her son's life forever. After getting his cutie mark he excitedly went on the train the very next day and making sure to hug his father goodbye since he still had business in Canterlot. With a happy mind and heart Apple had made his way to Appleoosa where after he announced his cutie mark everyone celebrated the fact that he had become a small time celebrity and had gotten his cutie mark. After that celebration, nothing had ever been the same. When his father came back they both bonded a lot more and he felt happy to get to know his father along with going with him every time he left and starting up his career as a performer. He started singing in small towns at first like ponyvile and slowly over time worked himself up to be able to sing in front of millions of ponies and sign autographs. Stallion years (Where he is now) - Now living in manehattan and famous the stallion still does his best to visit his family and had gladly taken over his father's career when he retired only he sung. Sometimes he would model here and there for a promo of his new show but besides that life was good for him right now even with it being instantly busy. Although one thing had always been bothering him and that's his recent discovery of liking other stallions. Character Personality: Apple Stars is quite a shy stallion despite being famous. He still has a hard time speaking to ponies one on one though his fans rather think that's cute. He also has the personality of someone who wants to help ponies in bad situations. He's gentle and understanding and is willing to do anything to help somepony. Stars is also very soft-hearted. He'll always try to remain calm and collected in the face of confrontation even if he has plans to avoid it at all costs. With family and close friends: Gentle and caring, Apple Stars can be the best friend that may exist. In fact, he often put the needs of his friends in front of his needs. He is loyal, devoted, compassionate and whenever there is some problem in the family or among friends, he will do his best to resolve it. Stars is expressive and he will not hesitate to express his feelings to the ponies around him. He expects others to be open to him as he is. Communication with loved ones is very important for him. Character Summary: Just a country stallion who worked his way to fame but still has a soft heart and mind.
  19. RP Type: Canterlot Chronicles (CC) Name: Flamewing Gender: Female Age: Mare Species: Pegasus Eye colour: Red Character colour: Black with orange muzzle Mane/Tail/Other: White (like derpy) Physique: A bit more skinny than average mare. Residence: Canterlot Occupation: N/A Cutie Mark: A wing with a flame color. She got this cutie mark when she was a filly. In her home town there was a little set of games for the children. It was just a bunch of races and obstacle courses. No pony expected her to come to take part in the games. She was a very shy pony back then. She hadn't plan to join the games but she gave it a shot. When she got there everyone stared at here as if she was some sort of alien. The games begun and she didn't win any of them. The last race of the games was about to start. She thought of quieting but she quickly changed her mind. The last race was the fastest pony wins. She was ready. The whistle blew and she had took off. At first she was behind, then she kept telling herself you can do this. Eventually, she picked up speed and starting passing all the other ponies. When the race finished she collapsed on the floor. Everyone was staring at her. She looked behind her to see if she crossed the finish line. She had won! After this her parents came over to her and pointed at her flank. She got her cutie mark. Unique Traits: Has a white bow in her hair. She normally wears it, not all the time. It was a bow her friend Starheart made for her. She also has 2 signature moves. One called the loop dive. She came up with this trick when flying downwards, sort of falling. Thats when she discovered her new move. Its when you make 2 loops in the air then dive downwards like in the name. It took her quite sometime to master this trick. For a long time, she would crash or go out of position. causing her to fall. When she finally mastered it she would still practice it like she didn't know how to do the trick, so she could practice and be more thorough. Her second signature move is called the Daredevil. Its a series of loops, dives and turns. When she first tries this she ran into clouds, buildings, and many more objects. The objective was to spell out her name in the sky. She could only to a O at the moment. Slowly, she got better and was able to spell FL. Then, FLAME, then FLAMEWING. Now, it has become one of her signature moves because of her name is in the sky when she does this trick. She can do many moves, not that complicated ones, but if you give her a trick to master, she won't stop until she does. History: Flamewing was born in Canterlot. Her mother and father were both wonderbolts. When she was a filly, she would watch her parents do amazing tricks in the air. She thought that she wanted to do this when she grew up. This was her dream and she lived up to it. She would always be racing her friends and she would always win but not all the time. When she was a filly, she was home-schooled most of the time. She didn't really have a lot of friends back then except for her friend Starheart which she still has to this very day. She wanted to be a wonderbolt but she was to young. She started getting interested in racing. She is not the best flyer but she still trains and works hard everyday to improve her flying skills as much as possible. When she was little, Flamewing thought you could be either smart or athletic. She wanted to be athletic. So, she focused all her time and effort to be athletic. Her grades started going down. Her parents got mad at her because they said grades are more important than being athletic is. You could get a job being a racer her parents said, but being a smart pony is very important also. This is when Flamewing realized that you could be both smart and very athletic. You don't have to choose between the two! When she started to mature she was always into the Wonderbolts. She wanted to become one so badly. She had posters all over her room of the Wonderbolts. Her biggest surprise was when she got to go see the Wonderbolts preform on her birthday (it was a coincidence.) Flamewing had a great time! Also, she was called flame when she was little because of her mane. When she was little her mane used to be red and orange. This is why they called the flame. Later on they added wing to it because of her talent for flying and her cutie mark. Her hair has changed from red and orange to white like derpy's. A little after that, when she was about a teen, she went into the everfree forest running after a ball. She hadn't noticed that she had gone in but she was all caught up with playing catch she went in. At first, she was super scared. She had never gone in the forest before. Even mares didn't go in the everfree forest! There were manticores. She went in just a little further until she heard a strange noise. It scared her so she ran back to her friend. Her friend (Icicle) asked her what happened. She said that the ball was in the everfree forest and she wasn't supposed to go inside it. Icicle said okay and they went back to get a cookie or something. Character Summary: Overall, Flamewing is just a super fun pony to be with. She loves hanging out with her friends. She is very hyper and fast. She is very kind and caring. She basicly never misses a party or anything that her friends host. She loves having fun but not as much as pinkie pie does. Her best friends are two ponies named Starheart and Icicle. She had moved from Cloudsdale to Canterlot about halfway through her life. Right now she lives in Canterlot with both her friends. Flamewing doesn't really have a house she shares with Starheart, Sometimes she goes to the hill to watch the stars at night. She finds the stars magnificent. Although Flamewing is more of a 'athletic' pony she is very intelligent and into fashion. For example, the bow in her hair was made by Starheart. She wears it all the time. Its sort of her lucky charm. On the other side, Icicle lives up in Cloudsdale studying. Icicle is the smart pony like twilight. Always knows the answer to every question. Of course she studies a lot but Starwing learned all he knowledge from school and Icicle! Flamewing has the tendency to steal sweets when people aren't looking. She just loves the taste of sweets. When she was little she would always go to a cake shop and her mom would get cake. It was her favorite. Now, she goes to sugarcube corner to get most of her cake and other sweets! Her personality is a mix of everything except bossy. She can be a little bit pushy sometimes but she doesn't like to be the leader. Unlike many athletic ponies, she was very kind and polite. She cared for every pony and animal. She is kind, caring, passionate, courageous, brave, funny and very polite. She loves nature like Fluttershy, but doesn't want to work with animals as her job/occupation. In her dreams, she dreams of being a wonderbolt. Flying high up in the air for lots of people to see. Although she is just a teeny bit stage frightened, she overall loves to preform for other people. Not for the joy of being a wonderbolt (partly that) but for the pleasure of other ponies watching her. In the end, Flamewing is a all around great friend and a great pony to have around. She always tries to fair to every pony no matter what. Some of her flaws is that she wants most things done her way. She doesn't push anyone about it but she just has a way of doing it. Sometimes she gets it her way, sometimes not. It depends on what she wanted her way. She also isn't patient at all. She hates waiting for ponies. If there is a long line to get something she wants, she just leaves. She finds it annoying when ponies take forever to do something or buy something. Thats why when she goes out to eat, she goes to the least popular place so she doesn't have to wait in line for anypony.
  20. Name: Aria "Aurelia" Elixir Gender: Female Age: Mare Species: Changeling Eye color: Lavender Character color:Dark grey Mane and tail: Light shade of Violet and long. Always appears wet even when dry and has relatively few holes. Physique: On the thin side but not gangly. Has a less weathered look compared to other changelings, such as having less holes in the legs and her wings looking shiny and pristine. has slightly longer than average horn. Residence: None in particular but was raised in Dodge Junction. Occupation: Traveling Singer Unique traits: *Typical changeling shape-shifting and illusion magic but can be dropped if she is sufficiently stressed or scared default disguise: "Aria" the daughter of two doctors in Dodge Junction. Has a long flowing and neatly kept red mane and white coat ,Bright and lively green eyes with freckles under them. *Has a lovely almost hypnotic singing voice to the point she made her cutie mark in her pony form a stylized treble clef with a heart in the lower loop. *Due to being raised by doctors she has some knowledge of healing and medical magic taught to her by her mother who was a unicorn. also knows about simple curative and herbal remedies taught to her by her father. History: Aurelia was born in the changeling hive years before the invasion of Equestria. Her caretaker, not approving of the current queens rule escaped the hive and ran to Equestria in the hopes of finding a better life for the both of them. Agents of the hive eventually tracked the caretaker down but not before he hid Aurelia in a cocoon in the Painted Pinto desert, bordering Roughrider Ridge. Eventually she was found by a pair of Traveling doctor Ponies named Elixir Cross and Golden Remedy and their foal named Mythic Salve. Their curiosity piqued they opened up the cocoon whereupon a filly sized changeling popped out, although seeing as these Equestrians hadn't seen a changeling before they were perplexed as to what she was. The couple were doctors, so they couldn't just leave a helpless creature like this on her own in the wilderness so they took her back to their home in Dodge Junction hidden in the various supplies in their chuck-wagon. Upon getting home the pair decided to name her after what they found her in, a chrysalis... although for some reason that sounded unoriginal to them so they settled on the name Aurelia which was a synonym for chrysalis. The little grey changeling was crying at first for a long time until it opened it's eyes and saw the ponies who found her. The young changeling spent a most of her time around the foal which was a bit worrying to the Foal's parents but the pair seemed to get along very nicely. It was Downright terrifying when one day the parents left them alone for a moment and suddenly they had twins! This was rather quickly resolved as they found their original daughter responded to her real name and the other one responded to the name they gave their discovery and daughter. While they couldn't go around telling everypony the origin of their other daughters name so the named her after hearing her sing along to one of their records, the name Aria seemed perfect. As a filly Aria was often very confused, when she was positive nopony was looking she would drop her spell and look at what she truly was. She'd discovered her true form during a haunted house event at her school on Nightmare Night winding up terrified and dropping the spell out of fear... luckily for her her schoolmates just thought it was some sort of magically applied costume that she cooked up for the event as a jump-scare,, this trait has stayed with her until marehood. A lot of her private time was spent in front of her mirror in wondering why she was like this, she was growing fangs, a horn, and even insect style wings with protective chitinous shell that shielded them when hidden, however she was able to hide them easily with her Illusion. She found it very fortunate she was a good singer and it turned out so was her sister to the point she gained a clef as a cutie mark which Aria wound up mimicking as well. During the events of the Canterlot wedding her family was there on vacation, Aria declined thinking it was best she stayed home and took the opportunity with her parents absence to go on a hunt for clues on her history. Looking in the local library didn't help much and any information she gathered was vague at best and even though she was angry at herself for doing so she went through her parents stuff. Not long after the event she welcomed her family back but they seemed somewhat distant for awhile. Eventually they opened up and told her about the events of the changeling invasion in great detail. She was at first hopeful when they told her they saw... creatures like her but her hopefulness faded when they described the rest. After a long sulk the changeling mare formed a theory that she was living proof of her theory, her kind didn't need to forcefully drain love from other creatures to survive she had to have been doing it passively her entire life. The mare told her family her theory and said she had to share it with any changelings she could find! Aria Character Summary: Aurelia or "Aria Elixir" in her pony form is usually cheerful and eager to meet ponies while she will admit she may have be subconsciously hunting for affections she does indeed try and befriend ponies for the sake of friendship. When she does establish a bond with another pony she is willing to with tooth and hoof to keep and protect this bond. While she is a strong as any normal changeling she prefers to try and negotiate her way out of a situation. Having grown up around her parent's medical books she knows a few good ways to incapacitate a creature her own size in self-defense if it comes down to it however as she is not exceptionally strong it isn't recommended. Her major faults would include some impatience as well as being a bit too nosy in things that don't concern her. Personality wise Aria is calm and cool headed with a bit of a mischievous streak, usually using illusion magic to mess with the heads of some ponies, particularly the ones who get on her nerves. While she has indeed been mimicking her sister's appearance all her life she has never really had to completely pretend to be her seeing as ponies throughout her life have referred to her as her own identity. While she does often try to think calmly and not overreact to a situation she does have a short temper when annoyed. The most sure fire way to get her upset would be to say she's a "Fake". Ever since leaving home however she has noticed she does feel a strange hard to define hunger rising up inside her when she isn't traveling with somepony who takes even the smallest liking to her. Oddly enough while she loves music and can sing beautifully she has is terrifyingly inept when attempting to play any instrument to the point that in music class in dodge junction classmates and teachers would beg her to stop playing. When not singing or searching for fellow changelings she is often seen looking for ingredients for curatives and attempting to befriend animals she either meets on the road or comes across... which usually ends very badly for her, typically getting bitten or scratched and even then it is extremely rare for even tame pets to openly like her. Despite being a changeling Aria is at heart an equestrian who loves her perceived homeland as much any pegasus, unicorn, or earth pony. Having passively absorbed love she has found has formed a theory that all changelings are capable of doing so and wishes to reform as many of them as she can. However since the invasion attempt made by the changelings and their queen she has been very careful in her search for other changelings so as to not reveal herself as one. If possible she hopes to show the changelings a peaceful co-existence with Equestria is possible and even better than all out conquest. While she understands her kind will not likely be forgiven anytime soon she encourages them to make friends and find ponies they believe that they can trust and only to reveal themselves if they are completely sure that this pony will not turn them into the guard. Seeing as she has a truly beautiful singing voice she originally made a career as a duo act with her sister, Myth. Her tastes in music cut a wide swath through many genres but she has seems to have a preference for some country oriented music due to her upbringing in dodge junction but loves many different types. While she sees herself as a happy mare she seems to have an affinity to sad almost mournful sounding love songs and ballads and always seems to get swept up in the feelings of her song as well as those of her audience and winds up crying. Seeing as she doesn't like appearing sad or making other ponies sad she typically sticks to energetic upbeat music and singing so she can spread happiness and love she can absorb. Back in Dodge Junction she was usually an energetic lounge singer who gained a fair bit of admiration from those who attended her and her sisters shows. Aria and myth would usually write their music together and were inseparable even as mares until Aria went off on her journey. While her future is uncertain Aria one day hopes to become a famous singer and a role model for other changelings, for her failure or being found out is not an option as Equestria is the only home she has ever known and is worried she wouldn't be able to survive anywhere else if anypony learned her secret.
