Finally, she had time to settle down and have herself a day off. That's not to say she couldn't take some time to herself anytime she wanted- she could easily task one of her copies with managing her little shop, or tinker with that prototype spell to think for her- but even then she couldn't help worrying about little Albedo. She'd installed every security measure she could think of. A kraken empowered by an angry lich could not so much as graze her construction without considerable effort, and yet, still she worried. But worried no more, as her little guppy finally got her chance to greet the world, and her two sisters still remain in the womb, safe and sound. That's why she was out exploring again, just herself, in the flesh. She'd left Albedo with Aloe for the day, trusting in her love to care for their foal with instructions on what to do. It wasn't too complicated- just love her, and make sure she has plenty of space to roam. Best to leave her in the lake, then, and utilize one of her potions. Adventuring wasn't quite her mood at the moment. She'd went into the heart of Tenochtitlan not long ago, encountered a powerful mage in Mareais, and one if her imitations was currently weathering blistering cold on her way to this crystal city that has been mentioned a few times in passing. But none of that was truly important right then- what was was her first, true friend (besides Aloe) Twilight. It wasn't difficult to pinpoint her location and transport herself nearby, taking on the form of a chameleon before scurrying her way further into whatever locale she was currently occupying. No, what she intended to do for the day was a simple matter of spending time with someone special to her. She smiled at the thought, and the warmth it brought to her diminutive reptile body. "Hello, Twilight," she thought at the mare. No reason to startle her, although she doubted that mare could miss her arrival.

The time had come. She felt like she'd said those exact words to herself before, under different circumstances. Her life had changed so much, and so quickly, that 'the time' seemed to come in seasons. Last time it had been the laying of their egg, the first of thee- a lucky number. This time it was that very unborn child's blessing, and by a friend and a being of great power. She should have felt honored- and she did! - but she also experienced an inexplicable anxiety. She looked over at Aloe, her love, who occupied the room alongside her. She could feel the familiar sensation of magic on her, from where she has bestowed her own form of 'charm', and the waves of love that rolled off of her acted as a calming balm for her nerves. Finally, she breathed easily, letting out a silent but heavy breath. Putting her worries aside for the time being, she instead opted to scrutinize her setting, checking it for any missed faults or potential hazards for the nth time that day. Since she'd plucked these ruins from the corpse of an old and sunken empire, and since repurposed it into a nursery, she has been uncertain whether or not she had made the right choice in decor. Sure, it catered to Aloe's whims, and her own taste in decor as Maretonian ruins are oft to do. But she just couldn't get overy the mystery of its prior function, if any- except that it was particularly reticent to the protective enchantments she placed on them. "Thank you for being here for me, Aloe," she said rather absently as she returned her attention to the pink (now) seapony, smiling softly. "For us. It means a lot to me." And then she cast her attention to the creature of honor. With a slight iridescence, the aqua-colored egg sat upon a raised platform of stone carved from the ruins themselves, and further embedded with protective runes. All in all, the entire setting was locked down like a swiss bank, even if it appeared to be rather open from an outsider's perspective.

There was something so calming about traversing nature, whether it be the lush beauty of nature or the mercurial sea. She found that it let her mind wander without inducing anxiety, aimless thoughts drifting to the surface of her mind just to dissipate moments later. It was perhaps an unusual detail that she was not laden down with an excessive entourage of magical chemicals and reagents, the bags lightly bouncing against her hips sagging with releif. "So I made some modifications to those socks," she said as they walked, peeking through the illuminates gaps in the verdant canopy above. "It took some tinkering, but I think I found a workaround to prevent unnecessary discharge."

Dinner with a high ranking official of the Equestrian hierarchy, how exciting! She hadn't expected to be making such close and personal connections to powerful ponies quite yet, but here she is, trotting down the roads of their golden city with her 'plus one', as they call it around here. She must admit, she was a bit nervous. The purple mare had made it sound like a casual affair, but one does not attend a Royal's party- even a party of two- without expending some measures to strike a modest appearance. As such, Rose Compass had opted to dress in a dark blue coat with a light blue now for the occasion. For her, this was as casual as one could get, and it's not like she flaunt her show-sword around anyway- It would undoubtedly alarm the locals, and it didn't seem like a popular custom amongst Equestrians. "I had a very good time last night," she spoke up after a long stretch of silence, bringing herself out of her thoughts to look at her companion for the eve. She must admit, no matter what she did or did not wear, she was quite... Beautiful. Soft colors really fit her well. "Thank you, Aloe, for spending Hearth's Warming with me. It wouldn't have been a special event without you." Of course, Rose also made some attempt to dress her fellow mare up- whether she accepted it or not. A nice dress or- mostly as a joke- a pretty pair of pink socks. Maybe shoes to go with them. Ultimately, It was her choice how she presented herself. Rose was comfortable with anything by this point.

It was a surprisingly pleasant day for a swim, and even better for a day on the lake. The waters were calm, clear, and cool to the touch- not oppressively so, either. It was just right. This is how two ponies found themselves, bobbing on a clumsy little craft. Rose did her best to keep it steady when it decided to be unruly, and it hadn't thrown them into the drink yet, so clearly they were doing something right. "So," Rose said as she steadied the vessel, relinquishing it from her aura so they could float easy. "Have you ever been on the water?" Unlike any other time, where the alchemist was laden down with an excessive amount of equipment and just a touch of scientific madness, all she opted to bring with her on this trip were two milky grey flasks, shimmering with chromatic light where the sun touched them.

So... This is the newly revitalized griffon capital. Rose took in the decrepit structures and generally impoverished atmosphere of the place, and she felt... Pity. This place was in dire need of renovations and, if the state of its denizens were anything to go off of, no shortage of fatty foods. she stopped the first actual pony she came across, assuming they may know the locals better judging by their casual gait. As luck would have it, she was exactly the guide she was looking for. It was less than an hour later that she found the newly crowned 'Emperor', seeking to rectify the grave sin that was their agricultural practice. Whatever they're doing out here, she can do it better. The engorged saddlebags over her flanks agreed, rattling in excitement as she plopped her flank down to see how events would transpire

Regeneration. It was regeneration, it had to be! The key, the cornerstone- the door! Rose Compass narrowly avoids needing a new nose, so lost in thought was the anxious mare. Backing up a step and jingling the everpresent bags on her hips that mark her as a medicine mare, she properly opens the door to the... Spa. Right, a spa. She'd heard of those back in Andalusia; a place to relaxation, using a range of aromatherapies and other such strange but effective tricks. If she was being honest with herself, she was less curious of what they did, and more curious how they did it. She supposed she'd find out soon enough as she entered the establishment. "Hello?" She called our in her foreign cadence, surveying the area with a passing glance. Like every other sugarcoated building in this strange town, this place exuded an aura of cartoonish joy, albeit of a muted degree compares to, say, Sugarcube Corner. She'd set her packs down by her side as she waited to be attended, idly taking count of her tools and jars. Regeneration... she'd pick out three jars in particular, all of them labeled with a sticker, but one of them empty. Axelotl dust: a dark iron-colored powder made from the blade of an axelotl stirred in its encasing. She nearly lost a limb trying to get this stuff. Noot horn: a small tuba shaped horn. She shivered thinking about what it was attached to. Leap frog extract: empty. She had yet to find any leap frogs, and she was beginning to question if she even needed to now that she had found the former two regeants. But her research must be complete before trials can begin, so she needs to find one... And soon.

Ah, festivities. While Rose was never one to celebrate many occasions, she did so love the effect it had on the ponies and other creatures around her. Ponyville was alive with cheer and good will, creating an atmosphere that compounded the generally sunny disposition of the town that was already there. With all the charity and gift giving transpiring, Rose found herself absorbed into the customs and traditions, deciding that it was time for her to give something back to the denizens of Ponyville as well. To this end, she decided setup shop near the fountain, where she'd have easy access to water, and to curious passerbys. It's not like she relocated her whole lab, she just brought out some basic equipment- none of which broke health codes- and a few sturdy tables. A large sign printed on a banner above it proclaimed that today she was in the business of making "Proposterous Potions", and welcomed anybody with a thought or idea to come up and pitch it to her. She'll try her best to make what you describe, and without a fee. Oddly enough, she even dressed up for the occasion, bearing a purple cloak that hid her verdant figure. Snacks were laid out under the sign: cups of cognac, a bowl of satsuma, and another one with walnuts. Now, all she had to do was wait and see if her plan comes to fruition. She is curious what it is these Ponyvillians want, after all.

Rose had to admit, as she cantered at a steady pace towards her scholastic destination, that she had more than a few butterflies flocking around in her tummy. The weight of stuffed saddlebags softly thumping against her flanks were little comfort compared to the veritable well of anxiety threatening to spill over inside of her. She'd heard this Mister Star was a very talented and enthusiastic teacher, but considering she had never even participated in primary school- and was entirely self-taught- she had, regrettably, very little experience interacting with such ponies. A true irony considering the occupation her original now possessed. Regardless, she knew that If she wanted to advance her research into mortality any further than basic observation and resources would allow, she would need to consult this pony and absorb his teachings. She had much to learn, but also much to exchange for such knowledge. The weight of her Índice de flora y fauna Equestrian was particularly comforting in this regard, the relatively light index including notes from her homeland as well. She had yet to seperate them due to time constraints, but she'd get to that in time.

Ah, the Imperial Gardens... Or Royal Gardens, rather. Lazy lillies and oopsie daisies glisten in the crystal coating of fresh morning dew, although Luna's darkened tapestry had yet to be drawn back for Celestia's painted blue sky. Rose was not a nocturnal pony. She wasn't a diurnal pony either. Rose simply followed her heart, whether it took her through the gates of time or Tartarus, such trivial things mattered little in the face of science and discovery. One such discovery happened to be underway in those very rosey beds, the seafoam savant hunched over her displayed alchemical materials as she plucked the petal off a large silver flower. The tips of her hooves were coated in dirt, eventhough she sat just outside the boundaries of the mulch, and small smudges of oddly odiferous substances streaked her cheek and limbs, as if she had spilled something while mouth handling it- or, perhaps, multitasking beyond her limit. Regardless, three small beakers had been setup on a placemats of sorts, her saddlebag close by with guts exposed to the cool, crisp air. "The petals of a Forget Me Not... I'm surprised to find these here, considering their potent mental effects," she murmured to herself as she dropped the leaf from her aura info the top beaker, which was filled with what looked to be water, steam rising up from the bottom beaker sitting atop a heating rune. The steam sparkled with small grey motes as it entered the third beaker, which was filled halfway in a ruby fluid. "Great for anesthetic purposes, but the loss of memory can sometimes prove problematic... It could be used to treat trauma, but... It needs something." The silver flecks bogged down the air above the crimson lake. In time, it diffused into the red substance, giving it the appearance of sparkling wine. Rose smiled. "Yes, I thought this may be a good idea. Sweet breams will be able to fight off the worst of the side effects and prevent hallucinations from forming nightmares. Genius!" She thrust a hoof into the air, nearly knocking down her equipment in the process. "Now I just need somecreature to test this on... I have enough petals here, so I can still distill more if need be..." She began looking around the garden for her next unwitting vict- volunteer.
