  1. The Great and Powerful Trixie! While most of the town was preparing for their winter celebrations, a small wagon on the outskirts of town was getting packed, and the path from where it lay to the road was being shoveled... well it was supposed to be shoveled, but the enchantment trixie put on the shovel was making it move the same pile of snow back and forth... she'd have to work on that enchantment, and also work on getting the path cleared herself once she finished packing. The mare of magic was loading everything she had strewn about her stage into boxes, and also tightening all the screws that held the stage itself together, she had a show booked for hearthswarming eve a distance away, and with her counseling duties completed until the school resumed operations in january, she had plenty time to get back to what she loved doing most - Performing! But first there was the not-small task of getting her wagon packed again and getting the stage setup tightened and oiled so it would fold up onto the side of the wagon... and every time she thought she was done, another bolt turned out to be loose or another hinge or spring needed oiling... she was starting to wonder if she would ever get on the road at this rate!
  2. Road to Friendship, titled On the Road to Friendship by some sources, is the nineteenth episode of season eight of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic and the one hundred and eighty-eighth overall. In this episode, Trixie is invited to bring her magic show to Saddle Arabia, and she can think of no one better to bring along than her great and powerful assistant Starlight Glimmer.
  3. From the album: MLP FiM Characters

I love these two. I'm not sure Trixie is great and powerful enough to levitate an entire p̶o̶n̶y̶ bunny in a hat though. I like to think she only managed it for a couple seconds before having to drop Starlight on the ground. Painted in FireAlpaca.
  4. Reformed Characters Team Is A Go! Another week which means another episode full of the adorable ponies we all know and love! As well as full of the bug ponies that, well, all of us know, and some of us love. We also see the return of our reformed unicorn couplebesties, Glim Glam and Best Unicorn! What new adventure does our redeemed magical equine duet have this time, and what does it have to do with Thorax? Tune in to find out! The episode aired Saturday 11:30 AM EST on September 2nd!! This thread is dedicated to discussing the episode before, during, and afterwards. As the thread is now open it may indeed contain spoilers. As the episode has already been widely aired, there is no need to bother with spoiler tags, just chat away!
  5. Staring best pony! Oh and her best friend Starlight Glimmer too. Rejoice! Rejoice! For Season VII is finally here! With the ponies we all adore and love! The time has come for Princess Twilight to accept that her young padawan, Starlight Glimmer, is now a Jedi. I mean, that she has learned all the friendship lessons Twilight could teach. So what happens next? Will there be more Starxie shipping fuel? Is that what you even call that ship? Tune in to find out! The episode airs Saturday 11:30 AM EST on April 15th!! This thread is dedicated to discussing the episode before, during, and afterwards. As the thread is now open it may indeed contain spoilers. I ask that potential spoilers talked about or shown before the episode airs stay within the spoiler tags please, after the episode you no longer have to use the spoiler tags, but warning, if you haven't seen the episode yet after it airs, this thread no doubt will have all sorts of spoilers in reviews, images, etc. So tread at your own risk.
  6. From the album: MLP FiM Characters

I realized that I didn't draw anything for No Second Prances even though I really enjoyed that episode so I threw together this little doodle. Trixie and Glimmer were downright adorable together. I love their new friendship and hope to see more of them together in the future! Also I got lazy and used Godoffury's cutie mark vector for Trixie. :P

You all love her and you know it! I couldn't resist the socks, socks always adds to pony pics.

  9. From the album: Regular Cast Pics

Trixie totally didn't mean to do that, it was an accident, really! Filler at the top for the sketchbook page. Yay alluring Trixie. I wondered about that image on here but felt less concerned when the adverts on the upload page were more risque.

  10. I wasn't able to go trick-or-treating last year, but I'm not staying home this year! I decided I'm gonna dress up as The Great And Powerful Trixie! I've been working on my costume for quite a while. It's definitely not finished yet, but it's progress! The Great And Powerful Trixie doesn't use a wand, but I wanted to include her cutie mark in the costume. In the attached picture is the wand(her cutie mark.), and some fake blue hair(I don't need to get hair dye from Hot Topic anymore; I'm gonna see if I can return the dye I already have for a refund.). I should mention that these items were purchased at the local dollar store, including the paint I used to make the wand look authentic. How does the costume look so far? I will, of course, be providing more pictures as I make more progress.
  11. Equestria's settled lands have for many generations been plundered and stripped bare of relics that in eons past were held in awe. Now, they are the stuff of myth and legend, considered by many to be simply fanciful tales. That doesn't stop some from taking these myths and using them as the fuel for something grand- adventure. Adventure is often a blanket term that hides a sea of motivations, and that strange motion often forces disparate parties to work together. The group of ponies that trafficked through the forest directly northwest of Hoofington were no different. Some were there for the greater good, still others for adventure, others knowledge, and some for fame. They made their way to an old and abandoned small castle that was rumored to be the resting spot of the Orb of Overwatch, and that was worth braving the hellacious winds that grounded the pegasi and forced the unicorns to keep their head down while the beating rain drowned out any conversdation. Determination was their ally as they made their way to it, however, and before long they found themselves in front of the castle. A giant clap of thunder and a streak of lightning certainly makes the ancient building seem sinister, but who knows if the Orb of Overwatch is even there? Well, that's a dumb question because in just a few moments, a few ponies will!
  12. In other fandoms, remixes of theme songs, collaborations on popular artists, and even originals works by individuals can sometimes lack personality of the person who made it. In the pony fandom, anyone who has ever made a remix to a song that gets a few thousand clicks on YouTube, or someone who gets original work published on bandcamp, is automatically put into a long list of brony musicians. And for the most part, we all remember them. It makes me wonder if some day, some of the artists we thought were cool, or as cool as a YouTube account makes you, turns manestream and actually ends up doing something that the whole word can recognize, and not just bronies. My thinking is that it could very well happen, and sooner than most would think. Episode 5: Griffin the Brush-off https://soundcloud.com/jackle-app/griffin-village-winter-gilda Winter (Gilda) JackleApp Vocal Orchestral I'll admit, that I'm not usually the type of brony that responds well to tear jerking from media groups. I am, however, a fan of well-organized tellings of the story not heard. The story about the bad guys and their viewpoint of everything going on. A little perspective is all it takes to begin to understand why Gilda acted the way she did in the episode when she was rude to Rainbow Dash's friends. So let's picture it then. You're a griffon who went to a flight school, probably in Clousdale, and met Rainbow Dash, someone who would end up being a longtime friend and then to a friend who wasn't who you thought she was. And maybe, at the same time, Rainbow Dash had some growing up of her own to do, as she was still cool enough to enough fun flying times with Gilda, but lacking of the bad girl montage that Gilda would show whenever she acted with ponies she did not know. There is no excuse for being rude or mean, or steal, or frighten. And then again, maybe that's the griffin way. Thanks to Gilda, everything we know about griffins has been defined by the way she acted in this episode. JackleApp counters this thought with the idea that Gilda may not be such a bad girl after all, and is poorly understood. And if you disagree that Gilda deserves any sympathy whatsoever, then I will be watching your eyes very closely when we get to talking about Trixie. Episode 6: Boast Busters https://soundcloud.com/great-trixie/trixies-good-side Trixie's Good Side PinkiePieSwear Glitch You know, this is only minorly relevant, but new bronies now-a-days, probably see Trixie first on Equestria Daily before they do organically in the show. Hm. Interesting. Anyways, while we're not drifting too far away from redemption of villain characters, it's important to note that Trixie is the true queen of the redemption story, even before she got one, sorta. PinkiePieSwear, who became one of the earliest bronies to solidify his name into the fandom pool of names your should know, made a glitch remix of events of Boast Busters, and titled it her 'good side'. Not sure how that was possible, and even still, the song by itself doesn't really convince me that there is any redemption of her to be found. But the title of the song alone implies that this is what many people would have wanted. And they want to watch her and Twilight's interaction while it happened. Little did bronies know at the time that an episode was already in the writing stages and would eventually release in season 3. But I don't think it's over. There are so many angles Trixie's story can be turned that there will be near an infinit supply of fiction applied to the blue unicorn, both in story and in song.
  13. From the album: Accel~Le~Rants Doodles

Don't worry, Trixie will help you out for the low price of five bits! ... What's that? Lemonade? I'm sorry, Trixie can't hear you over the sound of raining bits. Nice little distraction while studying, back to the grind as they say.

  14. Cover art by Arylett-Dawnsborough It's finally done! The first episode of my fanfiction, "The Subordinate Six", is completed and free to view on FIMFiction Dot Net! It was on the Featured Stories list for awhile, and has gotten some favorable reviews. Please give it a read; I didn't work on this for 6 months only to have a handful of people see it! The Subordinate Six Summary: Las Pegasus, the entertainment capital of Equestria. Lyra and Bon Bon arrive in the city prepared to start a new life, but run into some familiar faces. For instance, there's a wall-eyed mailmare living next door, and some traveling magician won't stop proclaiming her own greatness. And Lyra could swear she's seen this pony named 'Vinyl Scratch' before, but Octavia is remaining tight-lipped. Can they make it in this town of glitz, glamor, and crazy ponies? (First episode/storyline is completed!) Characters: Lyra, Bon Bon, Derpy, Trixie, Vinyl, Octavia Genre: Comedy/Normal with eventual shipping Rated: E

  17. “But Celestia, my sister—“ Luna turned to Celestia as the doors closed, and Twilight Sparkle began her journey to the Crystal Empire, “—my protege can easily deal with the return of Sombra. I think we should send her instead of Twilight.” Celestia was silent, staring after her student though she was no longer in view, before turning around and shaking her head. “Luna, I know she is powerful. But she is not the Element of Magic.” “She could have been, and you know it!” Luna retorted. Celestia turned her head to look Luna in the eyes. “But she's not. The fact remains that she was not the one to come to your aid. That was the test that the Elements used, and you know the Elements can't change hooves until a wielder has passed on.” Luna looked a bit put out, but she knew it to be true. Though Trixie was every bit as powerful as Twilight, maybe even more so, being an Element holder gave her an edge that nopony else could beat. Seeing as Luna seemed to have nothing to say, Celestia continued walking away, until she heard, “Fine then. I shall away to console her with many hugs and kisses." But by the time she'd turned back, Luna had teleported away in a flash of magic. Celestia scrunched up her face, staring at the spot where her sister had stood just a moment ago, and giving a “Hmm.” Luna couldn't have said what she'd thought she'd said. She must have heard wrong. * * * "I'm sorry Trixie." Luna sighed, once she was back in their room. Trixie had had no place to go when Luna found her. In exchange for becoming her personal student, Trixie was allowed to remain in Canterlot Castle. It was Luna's own personal decision to move the Unicorn into her own chambers. They were far too large for one single pony anyway. “But Celestia doesn't even trust me to go. Just wants to send her little pet." she mumbled the last bit. "I suppose it figures Sparkle would show me up again." she spat the name of the purple Unicorn. "Hmm." Luna made her way to her bed, resting upon it. Trixie, instead of going to relax on her own bed, which was parallel to Luna's, joined the princess on hers. Luna looked at her curiously, her head cocking to the side, but she did not protest as the blue mare snuggled up next to her. Any normal subject would not dare be so informal, so bold, to anypony of royal blood. Even though Trixie was Luna's own special student, just as Twilight Sparkle was to Celestia, they had never gotten... well, quite this close. "I guess while your sister is handling things, as usual, we're stuck here. Together." Trixie gave her own sigh, but a second later realized the implication of her words. "I mean, not, you know, together—" her face flushed, and she scooted away from her mentors side. "Where do you think you're going?" Luna pulled Trixie back to her with a wing, smiling playfully. Trixie blushed again, shuffling her front hooves in front of her. Luna's gesture left Trixie speechless, for the moment. She wasn't sure what she should say, or do... or what the princess was now implying. She looked to Luna, the uncertainty evident on her face. "You should smile." Luna said, her wing still wrapped around the smaller pony. "I like your smile." "No one... usually compliments Trixie." A shiver ran through her, though it wasn't cold. "I know that you tell me how well I'm doing with my magic, how many spells I'm learning, how much stronger I'm getting. But it's not the same thing." she paused, trying to work out how to explain what she meant. "Besides, Trixie is not pretty." she blinked, and a tear rolled down her left cheek. Luna grimaced. Often times when they were training, or even just talking, Trixie would start to go off on some little tangent and then... just stop. She would get this look in her eye, then quit for the day and go off by herself. Luna always let her go. It wasn't her business to pry. But she always felt bad, because it was always something she said that made Trixie become that way. But tonight, she wasn't going to let her go. Luna herself was often sad... though years of practice had taught her to hide it from her subjects. Even around Trixie, she hadn't let her guard down. Maybe if she had, things would be different between them. Luna leaned down, kissing Trixie's cheek before the tear had a chance to fall, and with a flick of her tongue, she had wiped it away. She knew she should have asked, she should have been more polite. But she wanted to comfort her friend, more than anything in the world right now, yet it was so hard to know how. Trixie let out an "Oh!" in surprise, turning to the princess as she sniffled. She studied Luna's eyes for a long moment, the two staring at each other for several moments. Their eyes blinked, back and fourth, but nopony said a word. The only sound in the room was the breathing from the two mares, as each tried to read what the other was thinking. Luna broke the silence as she cleared her throat, then opened her mouth to speak. But she couldn't find the words to say what she was thinking, or even what she should say, or ask, or even do. The princess swallowed visibly, before inching her face just a tad closer to that of her pupil. She was testing the waters, waiting for a signal from Trixie as to whether she should pursue her growing desire, or if she was being too forward. This wasn't... normal behavior for a princess. There was all sorts of protocol, courting and romancing, all sorts of... old ways. This wasn't a thousand years ago, and maybe— The two mares moved as one, though Luna's lips pressed much harder against Trixie's. She was a strong and powerful mare, after all, much more so than any normal pony. Trixie's eyes had already closed, but Luna's remained open for a brief moment while she still held a hint of doubt in her mind. But as she felt the other mare's eager lips against her own, felt their breath begin to mingle, she suddenly didn't care anymore. She was a princess, and nopony should give a **** about how she decided to live her life. Luna's eyes slid closed as she enjoyed the moment, relying on her other senses to tell her what to feel. She could feel her heart pounding, as she pressed forward for more. In the next instant, she'd scooped Trixie up in her wing, rolling onto her back and letting the other mare rest on her chest. Luna pressed Trixie to her own body, enveloping her in her wings and forcing her to stay close. Believe it or not, Luna hadn't had the chance to have much experience with this sort of thing... but she took Trixie's continuation as a sign that she was doing well. After several minutes, the Unicorn mare pulled away, gasping for air and shuddering with excitement. They hadn't yet gotten past the kiss, but it had still been a rather eccentric one, and both ponies seemed to need a moment to recover. The two sat up, facing each other while they caught their breath. Luna waited patiently, unsure if they should continue, or if she had done something wrong, and still trying to push away the thought that maybe this was a bad idea. It was all up to Trixie. "No!" Trixie suddenly yelled, panic in her eyes. "Trixie?" Luna began to move towards her, concern evident on her face and in her voice. "No. No!" Trixie extended a hoof to keep Luna back. "This isn't right! Trixie doesn't deserve this!" Luna at first looked fearful, scared that she had done something wrong and was going to lose her closest friend. She had known from the start this was a bad idea, but she'd refused to listen. And she'd done it again. She'd upset Trixie. Luna silently cursed herself for letting her emotion rather than her brain control her actions. "I—you—you've been too kind to me. You don't even know anything about me!" Trixie seemed to instantly get defensive, even after the moment they had just shared. "I-I'm sorry! I mean, not for being nice, but... I should have asked. You shouldn't have felt obligated." Luna rubbed her face with a hoof. She was so stupid! Of course nopony was going to deny a princess, but she thought that she and Trixie were close enough that the other mare would have denied her if they did not have the same feelings. "Obligated?" Trixie looked offended. "You think Trixie just did that for you? That she can't love somepony else? That she's easy, or desperate?" "I said I was sorry." Luna watched as she was slowly losing the one friend she had in Equestria. Watched as the friendship they'd built up over months was crumbling, with one stupid headstrong mistake. She had finally found somepony she could talk to, somepony who she had thought even looked up to her. But Trixie would be going now, or in the morning... and chances were she wouldn't be back. Luna turned away, shrouding her face with a large wing. She didn't want to show weakness. She was supposed to remain strong, for her country, for her ponies! Luna would let her go... after all, it was Trixie's decision. Luna cared about her too much to tell her how to run her life. Her body shuddered as she tried to hold in sobs, tears sliding down her face. She had tried so hard, she thought she had come so far... only to mess up now. She'd have to start all over, with somepony else. Or maybe she wouldn't. Maybe it was better this way. You couldn't hurt your friends if you didn't have any. Trixie didn't move for several moments. She had been wrong to speak so harshly. It wasn't Luna's fault that she was in the dark about Trixie's past. But Trixie felt unworthy of what the princess wanted to offer. Why would—why would a princess, of all ponies, choose her? Normally Trixie took random acts of kindness as pity, which she did not tolerate. In this instance, though, the princess had been genuine... and Trixie wasn't giving her a fair chance. She moved over to the princess, pushing her wing away with a hoof to reveal a damp and red face. Luna sniffed as she turned away, her ears drooping in defeat. Trixie took the wing, and wrapped it about herself, snuggling up to the princess once again. "Trixie shouldn't have yelled." she leaned her head on Luna's shoulder. It felt comforting, to have somepony so close, somepony she could trust, somepony who wasn't going to up and leave her. She should have realized all of that so much sooner. "Thank you." Trixie said. "I didn't mean to hurt you." she took a deep breath, letting out a heavy sigh. "There have just been a lot of ponies that have hurt Trixie." Luna finally moved, squeezing Trixie with her left wing. She lifted her right wing to brush away the remaining tears, turning back to her student again. "You should tell me about them, sometime. I know it would have helped me to have somepony to talk to when I was suffering." she spoke of the time before Nightmare Moon, though she didn't have to say it. "Come on." Luna slid away from Trixie, crawling under the bed covers. Rest would allow them both to consider the events of this eve much better in the morning. Trixie cautiously made her way across the bed, ducking under the covers and laying next to Luna. Luna's horn glowed for a moment, and then the room was enveloped in darkness. Trixie sighed, and Luna sniffled one last time. "You can show me how great and powerful you really are some other night." Luna said, trying to brighten the mood. "We'll see." Trixie said, reluctantly. "Only if you want to." Luna reassured her. "I might be a princess, but that wasn't an order." "Thank you." Trixie whispered into the dark. Luna felt her warm breath splash across her face. There was silence, and Trixie wondered for a moment if the princess was already asleep. "I won't let you be alone again." she replied quietly. "How—?" The blue Unicorn could only manage one word. "Lucky guess. I know more about you than you might think. But I'd love to know more." Luna rested her head on the pillow. There was a pause, and Luna felt the pony shift next to her, as Trixie herself laid down. "Maybe-maybe tomorrow." It wasn't a definite answer, but it was a step in the right direction, for both mares. Luna moved closer, lightly kissing Trixie once on the nose. "Good night." she whispered. "Good night." Luna fell asleep with the sound of Trixie's voice in her ear. What tomorrow held was uncertain, but one thing was for sure--what she held now, was Trixie.
  18. Pegasi were not fans of sudden, violent storms that broke over areas that were so lazily patrolled and controlled by the weather pegasi that the only difference between they and the storms over the Everfree lay in title alone. It seemed rude of the weather to do that, seeing as it was just so much simpler for them to be lazy and allow the pegasi to justify their lofty position atop the world. Pathfinder chuckled to herself through chattering teeth; that joke was a killer back in her schoolfilly days. She still found it funny too, mostly because for some reason a lot of her friends wanted to become weather pegasi. Well well well, school-age tormentors, who was laughing now?! As another fierce gust, driven in her mind by the sharp whip of lightning that split the sky above with a mighty and unforgiving crack followed by an enormous boom, slammed into her and sent Pathfinder flying around the sky haphazardly and with only the limpest form of control, she imagined that they were still the ones laughing. After all, they were probably back in Cloudsdale still dating all the cute colts and beautiful mares and living in their big cloud mansions and eating all that fine food and generally having an easy time of life. Of course they'd laugh because all they saw was an idiotic pegasus flying around in a storm when she could have used a few brain cells and been, well, anywhere else in the world. Then again that was why they were acutely lame and she was amazingly awesome. She wasn't just some stupid pegasus flying in a storm, she was Pathfinder, full-time adventurer and Daring Do Fan Club President, and she wasn't flying through a storm. She was powering through a storm, making it her little storm slave(even as another gust tossed her ruefully up in the air). She wasn't wandering aimlessly for no reason, because her aimless wandering had a definitive reason behind it. She was on an adventure, and that by its very nature made her life infinitely better than theirs. Whenever she made it back to Cloudsdale and tried to hang out around her old haunts, but was inevitably forced out because she was too old, she made it a point to bless her old friends and enemies and tormentors and bullies. After all, what better revenge than living well, what better way to live than by adventuring? The logic was perfect, even if the fools didn't recognize it. Or maybe it was because her beautiful pelt didn't match the old school photographs and she had to go through a ringer just to get in, making a mockery of it all according to those same stupid ponies? Ha, what foo- Pathfinder would have continued that train of thought, but another series of gusts sent her cascading around the sky like an out of control pinball. It ended almost as soon as it began, but Pathfinder knew she could take little more. She had improved by leaps and bounds over the past several months, but the lingering effects on her wings after the chemicals in The Pit were the sort of things a pegasus truly feared. Her wings were still weak and she had little stamina. Pathfinded started to glide down below, the air seeming to part for her as she landed with a near-silent thud, her form illuminated by an even sharper crack and flash than before. Luckily here the gusts couldn't steal her balance like they could her form above, which made the heavy rain collecting on the brim of her hat more bearable than it would have been otherwise. All in all, Pathfinder was happy to see the weather in this area fall completely and utterly out of any local pegasi's control and in the exciting world of weather gone mad, Pathfinder would find herself in a much better position. Still, she wasn't immune to catching a cold and her eyes scanned her surroundings. Heavily forested, though that came as no shock at all. She had to land in the densest part of the Whitetail Woods. It lacked the packed-in feeling of the Everfree Forest and it was obviously used with some leisure, but it was still a huge forest. If you got lost, you would remain lost for some time and all the proper placement of trees in Equestria wouldn't help you get out. That little fact also made getting good cover from the elements a bit harder as trees didn't overlap as often. And THAT little fact was why Pathfinder considered her adventurer's luck golden as she saw what appeared to be a crashed treehouse not fifty hoofesteps away. It had the form of some sort of living space on top of a platform, but both were broken to such a degree that Pathfinder found it hard to believe anything other than calamity had struck. Still, shelter of some kind was better than shelter of no kind, and Pathfinder started a healthy canter towards the structure close by.
  19. Equestria and the Staff of Fate There exists a legend so obscured and grand that even myth considers it myth, that parents don't even bother telling their foals it's story because even to their ears it sounds absurdly silly. But in Equestria there is truth to every lie, an answer to every riddle, a key to every lock and fact behind every work of fiction. Equestra forgot about the Staff of Fate. Fate did not forget about Equestria. Across the land exist relics, each of which are powerful all their own and worthy of the many legends told about them. Some of these legends are true and others false, yet all are insignificant in their singular nature when compared to what they do together, forming the Staff of Fate. Somepony has figured it out and is going after these artifacts viciously: Griffon and Diamond Dog mercernaries, a pet dragon, an extremely competent Pony force with the bits, smarts, and intelligence to back it up. What does this shadowy figure want? Is the Staff of Fate real? If so, what does it do? No one knows, but a small group of the finest minds and adventurers in the land know one thing: Anypony so obsessed with something of such mythic power must be stopped at all costs. It's just a shame personality conflicts stop them from working together, but still- all for two and two for Equestria! Hey there and welcome to the OOC topic for Equestria and the Staff of Fate, an epic comedy/adventure/mystery series that will span many, many interconnected threads and involve many characters, locations, situations and foes. There will be two core groups of adventurers involved, but they will be heading across the land. As they hit a new area, characters in the area will be able to join in on the fun. I am also not opposed to groups starting their own storyline that fits into this arc, but it has to at least adhere to what we have set-up. This thread itself is still a work in progress and as such expect this to be updated many, many times before we launch the series of adventures! Questions are welcomed. The Ongoing Plot- Teams 1 and 2 WARNING: SPOILERS FOR THE GRAND STORY ARC ABOUND. Prologues 1: Iris of Immortality and The Saxon Staff. Prologues 2: The Ruby Claw. New locations are as always welcomes.) Relics: Orb of Overwatch- The Orb of Overwatch's legend is that a paranoid princess used it to investigate her subjects for rebellion. This is truthfully what it does by itself, as it can pierce the heart and soul of any pony to discern the truth. The Iris of Immortality- Used by the followers of a prince to keep their poisoned prince alive. Said to grant immortality and perfection o form, the Iris of Immortality may or may not grant it. However, it does help give the staff it's power... Saxon Staff- After trying to take the throne from his brother, an evil prince attempts to wield ultimate power by the creation of this staff. He is overthrown before he can complete his task, and the staff is placed near the Iris of Immortality. Unlimited magical power. The Ruby Claw- Links the Orb and the Staff. By itself, it is a fearsome weapon said to be wielded by the Griffon Warlord who defeated Commander Hurricane and stripped her of her Helm. The Amulet of Time- An ancient artificat rumored to have been created by Unicornia in an effort to stall the onslaught of winter so it could evacuate more unicorns from the old lands. It allows its user to do with time what it wills, going backwards, forwards, stopping it, speeding it up. However, the user feels the same effects, making it equally dangerous to the user unless... The Faye- No one knows what it is, what it means. Together, these things come together to form the Staff of Fate, a device which allows its user to channel all the soul searching powers of the Orb and the time bending capabilities of the Amulet. He can pierce the souls of all creatures at all times forever, and with the aid of the Iris of Immortality and the Saxon Staff, has the capability to do what he pleases, when he pleases, forever and with no way of stopping him. He becomes fate incarnate. No one knows who created the Staff of Fate or why, and if someone once had it, how in Equestria did it get away from him? And if someone wants to get it now, then why- and can they be stopped? Enemies:(Used only past the prologue) Diamond Dog Mercenaries- They'll work for gems, bones, or the sheer thrill of the hunt! Dull, but dangerous. Griffon Mercenaries- Dishonored military officers mix with criminals who escaped from The Pit to create a dangerous and highly motivated group of fortune seekers. Led by Gavin Stormwing, Major Brenda Razorclaw, and a hyper intelligent crime lord called The Director. Merlot: Hailing from a prominent family of grape farmers (hence his name), this smoothly-dressed archaeologist obtains antiquities and sells them to private collectors. When not getting his hooves dirty (which is rare, since he uses other ponies to do his dirty work), Merlot can be seen enjoying the pleasures of high-society life. While many do-gooder treasure hunters revile the stallion, Merlot sees such ponies as careless hypocrites whose methods needlessly damage archaeologial sites. General Pummel: A honorable high-ranking officer in Equestria's Honor Guard, Pummel takes all percieved threats to Equestria's harmony seriously. As an admirer of the Griffin military, the general has associated in the past with a couple of his opposite numbers in Aquellia, who recently suffered disgrace due to an embarrassing incident. Should these ex-griffin officers suck up their pride, they will find General Pummel to be a valuable ally, just as long as he won't have to betray Princess & Country. Purple Stars- A large relic and antique 'collection' service with both a public and criminal facade. While it is a well-known and very respectably competent acqusition service that has recovered and protected relics and museums from harm, it has run into some difficult times and under new ownership has found itself used as hired hooves in the search for the relics. Some of its best and most seasoned agents will be deployed against the heroes in the name of profit and adventure, while sub-groups devoted to more sinister backroom dealings will do what needs to be done too ensure the success of their masters. Others to come(Ponies, dragons, and the various traps, creatures and local issues that will come up in a less planned manner) Teams: (Working it out with a few others. There are two main groups as well as individuals who are vital to the team's success who do not always join the main adventurers) Team 1- Trixie, Pathfinder, Twilight, Spin Tale, Rain Leaf- Main Team Team 2- Dr. Whooves, Bamboo Blade, Seeker, Serendipity, Applejack- Main Team Team 3- Arrow Plain, Gilda, Trailblazer, Lightning Dancer, ONE SPOT OPEN- Team 4- Snowfall, Sparks, Harrington Sleuth, Fire Walker, Trekker- Location: Granola Gracie [Whitetail Wood] Miracle [Canterlot] Sugar Rush [Gallopocous Island] Gladius Vigil Snowdrift Whirly Gig Kazino Kwato Everfree Forest Electric Vibe Ponyville Muggo' Ale [Fillydelphia] Wind Rider [Hoofington] Penumbra [Canterlot] Bowsprit [Gallopocous Island Radiant Steel [Canterlot] Lady Luck [Desert] Midnight Brand Roughrider Ridge (central ridge/mountains) Arcana - location specific to Everfree (and potentially others) Vivid Flair - location specific to Manehattan Sierra - location specific to Badlands or Roughrider Ridge Rarity - location specific to Ponyville. 21. Since Trixie has been partially confirmed to appear in Season 3 in one way or another what if there was an episode where she wanted the friendship and forgiveness of everyone in Ponyville including Twilight Sparkle and the other five members of The Mane Six but they all agree that she has to earn it so they give her a series of test to prove that she has changed?
  22. Introduction: OK, folks, I think I have a few ideas for fanfics! So, since this one seems the most interesting and has some great story potential, I decided to start this one. It takes place after the season 2 finale, but since I have yet to watch it, don't expect any references to it. However, if I see it before I finish, I might make some. Also, Discord is in this, but I'm using my theory: that Discord is actually Q from Star Trek: TNG, and he just took this chimera form because he knew it was easier for the ponies to accept than a human's. So don't be surprised if he mentions stuff from Star Trek. This story will be posted in parts. Prologue: In the Stone Prison Discord was never really defeated. Q never accepted that. "If I let them think they've won, I can take time to plan." he thought. "This was way more fun that teasing Jean-Luc, and certainly better than Janeway and Cisco. They're still children, in a way. And much more fun to corrupt." He turned himself into vapor and floated around Ponyville, looking for a viable target. Perhaps it would be a good idea to play from Satan's playbook. He always wanted to try that route. Chapter 1: The contract Trixie was in her carriage. Shows weren't paying nearly as much. "It's that blasted purple unicorn." she thought. "She's to blame. If those idiots hadn't awakened that Ursa Minor, I could still make good money." "Do you really think so?" a voice said. "Who's there?" she exclaimed. "For now, I'm not showing myself. It seems we have a common enemy. That purple unicorn defeated me as well. I could help you." "I'm listening. It could be fun." Trixie considered. "Yes. Fun." said the voice. [and this is where the opening credits would come in, if this were the show.] Chapter 2 to come on Sunday!
  23. Ever since her "defeat" many months ago, Trixie had been a laughingstock amongst showmares. She had been caught on her boasts, she had allowed her stage and traveling home to be destroyed, and most importantly she had broken character - a sure sign of any bad performer. At first she had tried to convince herself that it wasn't her fault, but the other unicorn, that Twilight Sparkle mare, that she had been shamed. But no, she was just doing what she had to do to save her home. For a while she had blamed those two other particularly dull unicorns, but they were children - their overactive imaginations probably hadn't known any better. No, what happened at Ponyville was her fault - as much as she hated to admit it. And even though it had caused her much grief and several months in financial peril, even driving her to consider jobs that weren't exactly... desirable... Trixie had finally recovered, at least to some extent. But this time around she would be more cautious. She had learned from her past mistakes, and she was determined not to make the same mistake that had caused her downfall. A different approach to life, if you will. First off, Trixie's show had been changed to appeal to children, and through the children she would draw in the older ponies. Second, she had done her research on several myths and legends of the past. She knew her strength lay in storytelling and performing it, but she had realized - boasts that she couldn't back up were never a good idea. After experiencing some much-needed success in other towns such as Hoofington and a small-scale show in Manehattan, she had finally set her sights on the place where her trials had begun. Ponyville. The name stung in her mind, still to this day, and for a moment she was uncertain. What could she do differently? What would she do differently, for a better reception? Would... they... be there? Of course they would, but the better question - would they accept her if she confronted them and talked? Or would they drive her out without hesitation? A lump rose in her throat, and she forced it down before continuing to walk forward. She had to try. The show had to go on.
