Coat: Ruffie’s coat is light brown, and he wears a red vest and emerald-laden collar.

Physique: A short and scrawny boy, Ruffie’s happens to have a small and narrow head. Meanwhile, his large ears point slightly upwards like a jackal’s.

Residence: Diamond dog camp to the southwest of Ponyville.

Occupation: None.

History:

Born as the runt of his litter, Ruffie was not generally expected to be a great digger like most of the other diamond dogs. Nobody really minded though; Ruffie’s father was scrawny too, but he ended up as a smithy who helped make sure all the pack’s equipment and armor remained smoothly functional. It is generally expected by his family that Ruffie will follow in his dad’s steps one day.

However, little Ruffie did not necessarily see himself as someone lacking the physical ability and wits to work in the mines, even though he was only a mere child. To prove himself, he snuck off alone one day to go mining, but quickly found himself lost in underground tunnels instead. In his desperate hour, Ruffie stumbled upon another diamond dog named Kalime. As a dog with more experience, Kalime easily led her young charge back to the camp, but not before revealing that she had once been a runt just like Ruffie.

Inspired by her words, the young lad came to idolize Kalime, who he now believes to be the most awesome dog ever! Ruffie hopes to be just like Kalime one day; a tough-as-nails leader commanding the respect of the pack. To this end, Ruffie follows his hero around any chance he gets.

Character Summary:

As a young runt, Ruffie is not among the strongest or smartest of diamond dogs yet. Ruffie unfortunately does not seem to grasp this fact though; his immature attempts to prove the contrary often go awry. No setbacks ever deter the boy however, as his infinite reservoir of ear-shattering enthusiasm fuels the dog’s efforts to be an alpha dog. If his shouting isn’t considered loud by someone, his laughter inevitably will be... and he’ll laugh at anything he finds remotely funny.

Ruffie’s idolization of Kalime, who had also been a runt like he is now, seemingly knows no boundaries. The child spends much of his free time seeking her out and going wherever she goes. Ruffie obeys any command from Kailme without question, and forcefully berates those who dare question her authority. In fact, the young diamond dog has even taken to copying and repeating some of his idol’s mannerisms; even in a pack; imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Whenever he’s not hanging around Kalime, Ruffie often accompanies his blacksmith father as he does his metalworking tasks. The observant child actually knows a good deal about how forging and maintaining equipment; he’s even helped his dad on occasion... under supervision of course. Otherwise, Ruffie can be found topside observing ponies without any worry of getting caught; a pastime he learned all too well from Kalime.

Currently, Ruffie's big aspiration in life is essentially to be an alpha dog. Whether he makes strenuous efforts to achieve his goals or goes along with the most realistic goal of taking over as the pack's blacksmith remains to be seen. Of course, Ruffie's parents can't blame their son for dreaming big and dreaming bold; good qualities for a diamond dog pup.

Ruffie may not be the most vital member of his pack, but his heart is in the right place. His loyalty to his friends, family, and his alpha dog will never waver. The young runt will do whatever is necessary to help out those he’s close to, no matter if he has to face down a scary monster in the process. And no matter what’s asked of him, Ruffie will do it without any complaint at all. After all, he'll do anything for his awesome diamond dog pack!

It is a great app Bellosh! But I feel you could expand on Ruffie a little more, WHY does he love Kalime so much? Did she perhaps save his hide when he first went into the mines? Was he perhaps scared and she stepped up like a good leader? (I give permission to write such a thing)

And expand on his personality a bit too, what are his long term goals? What does he feel about his life as a diamond dog? Does He one day wish to be a Blacksmith like his father or does he have his own dreams?
