My Little Pony Stop Motion!

Great job! I enjoyed the story, poor Rarity. :scream:

A couple things to look out for next time:

  • DO NOT rely on natural lighting, such as the "sun" because it is inconstant and unreliable; as well as room lighting (horrible with certain angles). Instead have an adjustable lamp connected to the base of the workstation.
  • Try using some of these programs "Dragonframe, Stopmotionpro, AnimatorDV, Clay Animator etc." These will make things a lot easier, especially the onion skin tool which shows the previous frame before the next one.
  • The smaller the movement the smoother the animation. Try taking about 6-15 frames, depending on the speed of the animation.
  • Use clay, play-doh or double-sided tape to hold the figures in place.

Most of all, experiment and have fun! :D

Thread moved to the creativity section. Pony chatter is for fandom discussion; threads showcasing creative works should go here. :)

I don't see a lot of stop motion pony stuff. It's something different and pretty cool. :)
