Mane/Tail: Sapphire blue, unkempt, and medium length. His mane is a tangle that looks like he probably slept in it. His tail is a little shorter, but is only rarely brushed and so is just as messy.
Physique: Very slightly pudgy, and a little on the short side for his age
Residence: lives in Las Pegasus with his brother, Foxtrot

History:

Born to a somewhat affluent couple in Baltimare, Eden has always looked up to his big brother as the very definition of 'cool'. Even though Foxtrot was a lot older, Eden Glow was nearly always following him around from the time he could walk on his own. Naturally, when Foxtrot moved to Las Pegasus, Eden started to get sad and mopey, but a series of mishaps in Baltimare and a couple of poor decisions from Foxtrot led his parents to decide that Eden living with his brother would both keep the younger colt happy and teach the young stallion responsibility.

 

Now Eden Glow attends the public schools in Las Pegasus, and spends the holidays and a few weekends a year with their parents in Baltimare. He's taken a keen interest in some of the art classes, though his magical dexterity leaves much to be desired in terms of deciphering his work.

 

While on a trip with his big brother Foxtrot to the Crystal Empire, his latent magics became overwhelmed by the ambient aurora energies coming from the Crystal Spire. His magic synergised with those of the Crystal Heart, boosting its power enough that the foal was able to literally feel his special talent calling to him. In a flash of insight, he knew his destiny was to work with light and his magic, empowered by the Imperial Aurora, swept over him in a curtain of light that left his cutie mark in its wake.

 

Character Summary:

Though he could easily be seen as timid or shy for his tendency to not speak much, Eden Glow is actually a somewhat rambunctious and energetic colt. During the discussions that led to his being sent to live with Foxtrot, Eden overheard their parents talking about 'teaching him some responsibility, and thinking they meant Eden, he's taken to helping Foxtrot around the house after his schoolwork is done. He rarely says two words when one will do, and especially when one really, really good one will work. He's quick on his hooves, and cleverer than he lets on, but Eden is, at the end of the day, still a foal.

 

He gets cranky late in the day, or if he forgets to eat, and is prone to little scrapes and bruises from playing with his school friends. He's clever, but since he rarely expresses himself verbally, sometimes it takes him a while to realize if he's come to a wrong conclusion. Lastly, he came from parents who were able to more or less spoil him, so while he tries to be conscientious of Foxtrot's more modest means, he does occasionally get pouty if there's something he wants but can't have.

This is a cute little character! I'm ready to send this in for SRPH approval, just make sure to work his not wanting to talk much into RP's. A pony that doesn't talk much may prove challenging but leaves room for lots of character development. You have experience RPing here so I'm confident you are aware of this
