Wind Rider return?

Do you think he could come back? Maybe team up with Lightning Dust? Get a glimpse of him in his prime?

Probably not? I have no idea, nor does he seem like a character worth bringing back...he served his purpose, methinks.

Wind Rider wasn’t wrong when he said you have to play dirty. A lot of the best athletes ever bent the rules.

Just because it's common practice doesn't mean it's the right thing to do.

 

And even if I accept the necessity of it, I'd argue there's still a difference in kind between cheating when in direct competition, i.e. for a place on a team when when racing against someone, versus sabotaging someone because their achievements might eventually surpass the saboteur's.  The first one can, depending on circumstances, straddle the line between being immoral and being pragmatic.  The second one seems petty more than anything else.

 

 

I don't see any particular reason to bring him back.  He didn't seem to exist for any reason other than to be the antagonist for the episode.  Then again, they brought Gilda back, and in her debut episode she was basically just a foil which they used to show the moral.  For what it's worth, I wouldn't mind seeing more Wind Rider if they can come up with an interesting way to use him, though I'm not expecting that to happen for a while yet.

I like to think that Wind Rider was a nice guy in his prime, but became who he is now with age because he was so worried that someone would break his record.
