Name: Fuyu Tsuki, translating into 'Winter Moon'

Sex: Female

Age: Young Mare

Species: Ryuma

Eye Color: Vivid red

Coat: A dark blue that straddles grayish tones.

Mane/Tail: Silvery-blue, with a metallic sheen that makes them shimmer and sparkle under the right lighting.

Physique: Like most of her Kirin and Ryuma kin, Tsuki is lithe and slender, her body more resembling the supple frame of a white-tailed deer than that of ponies. It is obvious to anyone with eyes that the Ryuma keeps herself in great physical shape.

Residence: A modest, one story house in Rainbow Falls.

Occupation: Professionally, Tsuki is a self-proclaimed geisha, an entertainer with a speciality in performing complex dances with her twin fans. She doesn't do much with hosting, though she does know how to act as a hostess if the situation calls for it. Unprofessionally, Tsuki is a kunoichi mercenary who will take nearly any job that pays well enough - most especially jobs that actively hurt the Imperial Dynasty of Long Guo.

Cutie Mark: A folded tessen with swirls of breath magic circling around it.

While poking around her family's belongings one day, Tsuki discovered some old documents and journals written by one of her ancestors, who lived through the formation of the Imperial Dynasty and subsequent relocation of Ryuma and Kirin to Neighpon. In those records, Tsuki read about a conflict that had left their family destitute and broken, and had driven them from their homeland to fight for a living on the islands of Neighpon. Uncovering even more documents and belongings, the young Ryuma learned that her ancestral family had once been a formidable ninja clan that had subtly gone to war with the Imperial Dynasty, in an attempt to destroy the regime and restore Long Guo to its rightful state.

Tsuki was floored to uncover this history she'd had no knowledge about, and was equally quick to question her parents. Even when they tried to accurately explain history however, citing old grudges and perceptions as setting the biased tone in those old journals, Tsuki became engrained with an idea - that her family had lost sight of their true heritage, and that Long Guo and the Imperial Dynasty were to blame. She became determined to follow their family's forgotten history as a ninja clan, and vowed to become a ninja master in order to restore her family to their mainland heritage, prompting the appearance of her cutie mark.

Unique Traits: As a successful kunoichi, Tsuki has picked up a knack for various weapons needed for her line of work, from long-ranged weaponry to up close and personal combat. At a distance, she will more often than not will utilize her bamboo fukiya. She uses her blowgun, in combination with darts dipped in various poisons, in order to affect enemies from a fair distance, whether to cause them to fall asleep for a short time or to spread poison through their veins. Tsuki is also skilled with various throwing weapons, including shuriken and kunai, and always keeps a healthy supply of them on her body. For close range, Tsuki sports a pair of tessen that have bladed edges, allowing her to use them both for blunt force and as deadly weapons. She can hold her own in a hoof fight, but tends to lag the longer the fight drags out, often prompting a quick retreat.

Unsurprising, given her heritage, Tsuki has also mastered the art of stealth, and remaining undetected. Her lithe and nimble body makes her naturally agile, built more for fleetness than strength, and what she lacks in long term endurance is made up for by sheer speed and reflex. While well versed to slinking through the shadows and utilizing unconventional pathways, the Ryuma is also skilled with blending into broad daylight. With a keen eye for disguises and mannerisms, Tsuki is capable of pulling off convincing acts that tend to have her go unnoticed, whether she is passing for an unremarkable maidservant or a humble delivery mare. This ability to blend in as an everyday Joe often allows the Ryuma to infiltrate whatever building, organization, or party she is after, often to their detriment.

While she is no master of the art of breath magic, Tsuki is still relatively more skilled than most other natives of Ryushima, thanks to her sensei. While she is moderately capable with water school of breath magic, her real strength in the art lies in specific spells she has worked to master. Due to the brilliant shine her hair and scales tend to give under moonlight, Tsuki has cultivated a breath spell to cloud herself in, one that sucks in light instead of reflecting it. The spell dulls her colors and casts her in a shadowy pall, which in turn lets her sneak under moonlight without becoming a shining beacon to everyone in her path. Tsuki is also capable of breathing out a wood breath that spreads out around her, and detects life sources in the area, allowing her to essentially "see" where nearby living creatures are for a short while. The last spell she has spent significant time investing is one the Ryuma herself refers to as the "Moonstep", which utilizes a breath spell to give her a brief burst of extreme speed. She tends to use this spell to perform blitzkrieg type attacks, either dropping out of the sky on top of her target, or streaking across a stretch of ground to put herself closer to the threat.

History: Born on the Kirin and Ryuma heavy island of Ryushima, Fuyu Tsuki almost immediately began causing a ruckus in her household. With her mother a stay at home wife, and her father a humble farmer who didn't own land of his own, Tsuki was pretty much given free reign to steer her life as she so chose, much to her delight. Said freedom cultivated into a polite interest in ceremonial fan dances, after watching a performance hosted by her town's academy of arts and entertainment, and Tsuki began taking to the art of the performer. She quite enjoyed it, until one day, after poking around some of her family's old belongings, discovered an ancient journal that was written by one of her ancestors long ago...he contents of that journal would forever change her life.

Though Tsuki easily nodded her head at her parents words of warning, her young mind had already sowed an idea, one that called for her to settle an ancient grudge against the mainland. Filled with visions of her family being restored to their lost honor, the Ryuma was quick to latch onto the idea of ninja, elite warriors specializing in subterfuge and infiltration. To the consternation of her parents, Tsuki began actively acting like a ninja, loudly challenging other foals in the marketplace and attempting to break into places. Her parents were near apoplectic with rage at her behavior, and that might have been the end of that, if Tsuki's proclamations hadn't drawn the attention of an old ninja master living on Ryushima. Whether he took a genuine interest in Tsuki's desires, or simply wished to preserve the outdated practice of ninjutsu, was unclear - he simply requested to teach the young Ryuma the art of being a ninja, and hoping her training might curb her youthful energy, her parents agreed.

Tsuki trained with the old master for several years afterwards, devoting just as much energy to learning the art as she did to her fan dances. She was even fortuitous enough to run into a visiting Qilin from the mainland, who, after amusedly listening to her babble about her family's honor and visions of glory, agreed to teach her some useful breath magic he had picked up on his travels. As she grew older and more mature, Tsuki's burning desire to restore her family to its rightful status and throw down the Imperial regime mellowed out into more feasible goals, such as earning the title of a ninja master. With her sensei's blessing and a farewell to her parents, Tsuki, now a young mare, packed up her belongings in order to fulfill her wish.

The only problem was figuring out exactly where to begin. Tsuki struggled with this for a short while, but news suddenly reached her from the mainland - the Imperial Dynasty was, after so many long years, making overtures of friendship with the land far to the west, a country called Equestria. Years of youthful and wanton hate began rearing their heads inside Tsuki again, though they were more well-tempered and controlled. Despite herself, the young Ryuma couldn't help but wonder what Long Guo was hoping to accomplish by allying itself to Equestria...and also wonder what she could do to prevent that from happening.

With her mind made up, Tsuki shipped herself off to Equestria. She hopes to learn more of the country that has obviously garnered Long Guo's interest, but if any opportunities arise to sabotage those efforts of friendship and peace between Equestria and her long hated enemy...well, Tsuki is certain that someone will be around to capitalize on them.

Character Personality: A smooth and sly Ryuma housing an internal war against an entire country, Fuyu Tsuki seems to embody her name to its fullest. Mature and generally amiable, Tsuki is a confident young mare who, at a glance, is of a genial and cheerful sort. She carries an easy sort of conviction within herself, one that allows her to carry through most interactions with hardly any problems. She gives off the air of a dependable and reliable older sister, willing to help out others and provide wisdom, and tends to become quickly informal with those she meets, easily lapsing into yapping quips or casual touches.

There is a definite mischievous flair to her however, one that usually as her serene face breaking into a sly or knowing smile, and Tsuki will often subtly inject biting insults disguised as gentle teasing into her interactions, similar to an elder sibling who attempts to assert their dominance over younger ones. Sometimes they are harmless, sometimes they are not, though whether she is actively being malicious varies from situation to situation. Usually, Tsuki does so unconsciously, simply for the satisfaction of mentally placing herself higher than others around her.

This desire to feel a sense of superiority stems from her foalhood, emblazoned with the idea of the Imperial Dynasty taking everything from her family. Despite her maturity, Tsuki is still exceedingly passionate about her goals and desires, causing her to flare up and sputter out in turns. A highly competitive Ryuma, the young mare doesn't understand the meaning of "quit", and can get highly enraged or infuriated at being shown up. Tsuki is eager to prove herself, both as a daughter of her family and as a ninja master, and this shows in her frustration when she is beaten at something she feels she should have come out on top in. Underneath the friendly and cheerful exterior lies a fierce kunoichi that will scratch and claw her way to victory, if provoked.

The Ryuma is not above using under hoofed techniques to getting her way, either - a facet of her ninja training, anyone and anything is a tool to be used, and whether it is winning a competition or soliciting the trust of some one else, Tsuki has no qualms lying, misdirecting, or outright cheating to obtain her goals. She is dishonorable in the most blatant sense of the word, and with her larger than life goals of getting revenge against the Imperial Dynasty forever in the back of her mind, Tsuki knows she can't afford to be honorable.

Character Summary: Any random pony meeting her on the street will agree that Tsuki is an affable and agreeable young mare, who delights audiences everywhere with her performances and spectacles. Despite this new life she has made for herself however, Tsuki hasn't forgotten the reason why she traveled to Equestria in the first place, and eagerly awaits for any opportunity to undermine the repressive Imperial Dynasty.
