Unicorn Dazzle Dawn

This is the mane character of my upcoming OC driven adventure story, My Little Pony: Darkness and Dawn (Link for more information). Though that's mainly where she'll be used, after writing up her profile I thought maybe I might want to RP her at some point too. So yeah, here's her profile write up:

Name: Dazzle Dawn (typically shortens to Dazzle. Arcana called her Dazz when they were younger and still does on rare occasion)

Post colour: 33CC33

Sex: female

Age: young mare (very late teens - early 20's equivalent)

Species: unicorn

Pelt colour: bright blue

Mane/Tail/Markings colour & Style: mane is lime green in colour. It's worn fairly short and stylish; straight and swept to the side. Tail is worn long.

Eye colour: hazel

Cutie Mark: The sun half raised over the horizon, with a few sparkles surrounding it.

Physique: Just slightly smaller than most ponies her age.

RP Type: Mane RP

Origin: born Solstice Heights, now lives in Canterlot

Occupation: Canterlot University student

Motivation: Dazzle wishes nothing more than to someday help spread happiness throughout Equestria.

Likes: helping others, pretty colours, really odd things, learning, coffee, sweets.

Dislikes: meanness, violence, when things are really quiet, when others are sad.

Character Summary: Dazzle was born to poor parents in the Solstice Heights, but nevertheless she had a happy childhood. Her parents loved her a lot, and she always felt particularly blessed.

As a foal, she encountered a unicorn foal her own age named Arcana. These two quickly became inseparable friends. That was until things suddenly changed. Dazzle's father received a promotion to an illustrious position. Their family moved to an affluent part of Canterlot. Dazzle, a very young filly now, tearfully bid Arcana good bye, all the while promising that they would meet again one day.

It was in this moment, though no one really knew why, that Dazzle's cutie mark appeared. It's meaning eludes even Cutie Mark specialists, though it is generally believed that the rising sun on Dazzle's flank symbolizes her special talent for brightening the days of others. The rising sun that is her cutie mark symbolizes her ability to instill hope in others. You see, Arcana was really a quite sad and lonely pony, so upon hearing that her best (and really only) friend was going to be leaving, she became devastated. The heartfelt promise Dazzle gave her that day, gave Arcana a glimmer of hope that allowed her to move forward. The power of Dazzle's reassuring words made her Cutie Mark appear.

Soon after that, Dazzle, who always had a talent with unicorn magic, was enrolled in Princess Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns. She made acceptable grades there as well as a whole wealth of friends. Though she still missed Arcana, she was happy.

Dazzle graduated from school with average grades, and then decided to move on to Canterlot University, where she would further her studies. It was at this school that the friends were reunited. Arcana had graduated at the very top of the far less prestigious school she had attended, and in doing so had won a scholarship to the University.

Things were a little different though now. Arcana was a lot different than she had been before. She had grown colder and more jaded. She made no effort to make friends and was generally shunned by others. Dazzle didn't quite understand this; she was different, but Arcana was still the same pony. Though things were just a little awkward between them now, things between them started to slowly turn around.

That was until one day Arcana vanished. The other unicorn left the university without a single word, leaving Dazzle crushed. She looked everywhere, but nopony knew where Arcana had went. Troubled, Dazzle tried her best to continue on with her studies, but this has proven increasingly hard.

Dazzle is a very kind, caring pony. She is not weak however. She will not stand for meanness and bullying and is never afraid to call a pony out. She is a bit of an airhead, easily distracted by certain things and often not fully understanding what others are talking about. She's generally a lot of fun, and makes friends easily.

She's not the smartest pony, and there are much better ponies than her when it comes to magic. Still, she tries harder than about anypony you'll find and remains ever committed to the ponies she cares about.

When she took the U.M.A.T. test, she was tested to be at the lower end of Gamma class in everything.

And yes, obviously some of the stuff in her history is a lot more relevant to my story than the RP (though I may do an RP write up for Arcana as well at a later date; we'll see...). Hope nopony minds.

She looks good but I'm not to sure about her cutie-mark it doesn't seem to be precise enough such as how leaving her best friend would mean she gets a cutie-mark. Maybe a bit more insight? n_n
