Unique Traits: Well versed in emergency medical techniques and knowledgeable on the pony body. While he does not know many unique spells, he is one of the best when it comes to teleportation which he uses to transport patients to the hospital quickly.

History:
First Response was born to a pair of doctors in Seaddle who spent considerable amount of his youth preparing him to follow in their hoof steps. However, he seemed to dislike the whole profession for purely familial reasons and did everything he could do to avoid it. One of his early interests was in magic and while he lacked tremendous talent in it, he was able to learn the teleportation spell and get a working knowledge on a number of alchemic subjects. As a teenager he was out with friends in the woods when a tidal surge nearly drowned a friend and injured others. He used his knowledge to help save his friend- potion to keep him stable, innate medical knowledge learned from his parents to suss out what was wrong, and then an amazing teleportation to a hospital to deliver him to good hooves. It was then that he got his cutie mark.

 

After that he decided that he would go into the medical field, but not in the same way as his parents. He joined the Northern Medical Association- a loose alliance of medical officials and technicians in the North of Equestria- and worked across the region. He earned high marks and was attentive in his training. He rose the ranks until he led his own emergency response crew. He earned rave reviews for the combination of his talents when responding to a smattering of sinking caribou ships near Seaddle and the aftermath of heavy flooding in the Bremareton region. His crew was one of several assigned as first responders to the visit of Princess Twilight to several northern cities. Afterwards, he was given the choice to move to Ponyville and join the Heartland Medical Management Alliance- a similar organization to the NMA. He took them up on the offer and moved to Ponyville, where he now is a valued member of the region's Crisis Response team assigned to Ponyville General.

 

Character Personality:
First is an easygoing and laid back kind of unicorn who seems to let the follies and foibles of life float over him without too much concern. This serves him well in his work, where he does what needs to be done and does so calmly, earning high marks for his calm in stressful situations. This is an affect he puts on, as he often feels overwhelmed by the seriousness of his task. Still, his work ethic, desire to do well by others, and his ability to work under pressure and project calm means he often comes across as a leader even if he doesn't mean to be.
 

He is an avid collector, from games to comics to cards, and will often attend conventions or meetups in search of interesting things. He has a fascination with the latest and greatest in technology and will blow a rather silly amount of his bits on gadgets and gear, even if he thinks it may not last. He is outgoing and jovial most of the time and is the sort to strike up conversation when the situation is awkward. he has had a long string of flings and relationships and has a fear of committment that will, hopefully, die once he meets the right pony.

Appears calm, cool, and collected even as he is taken aback by what he sees. Quick witted and kind.
