Welp, this was it! This was the day that Wind Dancer had been looking forward to since that fateful night in Ponyville. She was currently getting reading into one of the gazebo turned dressing rooms for the event. Today was the day that this single mare, married the stallion of her dreams. It was almost ironic that it ended up being the colt that grew up next door to her in Cloudsdale, even though they never truly met until they came here to Las Pegasus. In fact, that's exactly why the two of them had chosen this place. The Las Pegasus Central District Park. Right under the very tree that Sky had sneezed and dropped leaves on her from when they first met. She could still remember that day vivdly and she still chuckled every time she remembered that face. As it was now though, she was incredibly antsy and was ready to get everything started. Something that her mother was getting very annoyed with.

"Windy, I know you're anxious dear, but please for all that is holy please stop squirming. You're making lining this up very difficult," her mother said, trying to line up the zipper on the dress and the the buttons for the trails. With a long zip, the two mares looked in the mirror, and Morning couldn't help but wipe a tear from her eyes.

"You okay mom?"

"Yes sweetie. It's just hard to see the beautiful mare that you've grown into. I still see you as the little filly I raised all those years ago. But I also can't be any more proud of the mare that you've become. You've become a beacon of hope for so many ponies and you've helped so many others... There just aren't many ponies like you in the world anymore, and I'm so happy that you managed to find one of the few other ponies like that who fits you so perfectly," she said, pulling her little filly into a hug, one that Wind returned.

"Well, I had a good rock. Even when I was reluctant to come back to Cloudsdale I never stopped thing about you and dad. There are no words to describe how happy I am that both of you are here to witness this, even if dad might have his hooves full with Glimmer right now," Wind giggled.

After a few final adjustments, Morning smiled. "Are you ready to become a married mare?" she asked with a smile, watching Wind return the smile and nod. "Good, it's almost time. they should be sending the ushers here soon."

By tradition, a groom does not see a bride's wedding dress before the ceremony.  Sky Sailing did suspect that Windy would be willing to bend on the issue, but he himself had little desire to depart from tradition.  He needed as many anchors to reality as he could get right now, because there was still some part of him convinced that this was all too good to be anything but a happy dream.

He was waiting under the tree, placing a hoof on the bark from time to time to bring his mind back to the material world.  He didn't want to drift off, miss a moment, be anywhere but here.  His father was standing beside him, dressed to the nines as he was.  He was proud of his boy, extremely proud, but like most stallions, not prone to be effusive.  "This is where you two met, right?"  Nor'Easter asked as the pair waited.  "I don't think you showed me this park before."

"I might have.  It looks different with all the decorations, and all the ponies..."  He peered out to the crowds, most of whom had come on Windy's behalf.  Or rather, she'd been in town longer, and their friend circle intersected quite a bit, as she made more of the introductions.  He searched out for one or two of the musicians he'd opened his studio for, but couldn't see them.  He wondered if it was a matter of tour dates, or if they had only thought themselves professional acquaintances.  He liked to think well of ponies, but might be naive in evaluating them.

At least his mother was there, up front, watching him with all the requisite happy tears.  Scarlett knew she'd only make damp patches on that nice suit if she was up front; as it was, a pile of tissues was already in evidence!  Her little, dreamy, musical colt, all grown up now, ready for a family of his own.

There was pure panic in Ponyville when Candy got a letter that wasn't from Bittsburgh. As the unicorn read it her mind began to race. "Windy is getting married?!" She'd read the invitation a bit further. "Oh, its in Las Pegasus that's fitting..." Looking at those words again, she'd gulp. "Las Pegasus...in five days!" Taking a few deep breaths, the Nightmare Night maned unicorn would try to calm herself, though by now she was sure the rest of her neighbors knew about the wedding from her excitement.

Plopping into her couch, Candy would carefully reread the invitation. "Wind Dancer and Sky Sailing....Requests the honor of your presence...Wedding....on this day off....Las Pegasus....Formal...." Candy's eyes went wide. She was a farm pony and now a candy maker. She was sure her school gala dress was still back in Bittsburgh at the farm, though that's traveling in the opposite direction. She'd have find a dress there. Grabbing her bits and quickly packing, she'd throw on her bags and make a trot for the train station. "One for Las Pegasus please," She'd say levitating her bags continence looking for her bit bag. "Um, there is an express, right, I need to get there by," as she took the invitation out to look at it again only for a ticket to fall out of the envelope. "Oh...um....I think this is what I need?"

Sighing and rolling his eyes, the train attendant rolled his eyes. "It leaves in 15 minutes." As he looked the ticked over he would mutter with a smile. "You have a sleeper cabin. You must have some special friends." Candy nodded. "I have the best friend in all of Equestria." before she found her way to her cabin. Four days and three nights was just what she needed to calm herself, and to top it off, food would be brought to her!

As the skyscrapers of the famed city first became visible, Candy's eyes would open from her sleep. Just in time to see the sun rise above the city, this truly was going to be a perfect day for her friend. As the train began to slow, she'd check the envelope once more. To her relief there was instructions for hotel accommodations as well as maps to the hotel and to the wedding venue. Candy would beam from ear to ear as she saw the hotel they had put her in was the one she had first met Windy.

After a quick check in, her full attention was on a dress, as she grabbed the bits she would need. There where many boutiques in Las Pegasus, though Candy was short for time. After a montage that would do the store's owner proud....and see her getting offered an modeling job, which she would turn down with confusion, she had settled on a black dress with an orange accent stripe and a few hints of white to break up the dark ensemble. Before she could ask how much she owed, the unicorn found herself whisked away to an attached mane salon. Candy's heart began to pound as she looked to a clock on the wall. "Ok, now how much do I owe you for...." The owner shock his head "Just smile and let me take a few pictures. You can have the dress if you let me put you on our billboards for the fall season." Candy looked at him confused but nodded. "Sure? But I really need to get to my friends wedding, and soon." After about fifteen minuets of photos, Candy was finally able to leave before making her way to the park.

Slowly trotting up to an usher, she's pull out her invitation. "I'm here for the wedding. I'm Candy Corn. Is there assigned seating or should I just take a seat up front?" she'd say, unknowingly batting her eyelashes at the pony. "I'm a friend of the bride."

~~~Wind Dancer~~~
No sooner did her mother speak the words, did they hear a knock at the exit of the gazebo. "Sorry to interrupt ladies, but it is time," Wind heard the usher say to them. She looked in the mirror one final time before following the usher to the staging area. At the moment, eveything seemed to be all too surreal and it felt like any moment Wind Dancer was going to wake up, and she'd be back in the hospital room and this would all would have just been a glorious pipe dream. That never happened though, and she could feel her heart thumping a million miles a minute hoping that today of all days, nothing went wrong.
After she was set, she saw the same usher speaking with Candy. Good! She was able to make it! Her mother had been the one handling the invitations since she had been out of commission herself for most of this engagement. Having a little filly and becoming the second best momma ever took a lot out of a pony! As it was, she gave Candy a wave while she anxiously awaited the start of the ceremony. It was then that she saw everypony else too.  While the ponies that were actually in the park were limited to friends and family, the fences outside where a different story. Celebrity weddings always attracted a crowd, especially when it was two celebrities getting married! This was no exception. Wind Dancer could see ponies filling the streets all around the park all trying to get a spot where they can see the ceremony. Seeing that it wouldn't surprise her in the slightest if the Flim-Flam brothers had found a way to monetize the event by selling space at the fences closest to the celebration. Thankfully though, she didn't see those two anywhere around.
The usher meanwhile took a look at the cream colored mare wearing a black and orange dress that was quite fetching! Though the mare's mane looked more like something you would see on Nightmare night, it definitely fit the look, and the colors really popped on her. She introduced herself as Candy, and the usher couldn't help but definitely think of her as a piece of candy. When she asked if there was assigned seating, he shook his head. "No ma'am, we're just seating others as they get here. If you would like to go up and have a seat next to the golden pony with the rosy red mane. Others will be directed in as they arrive," he responded, hoofing her back the ticket.
~~~Golden Bit~~~

To be able to attend a high class celebrety is one thing. To know them personally and to have a hoof in making them what they were is another... but to have that same hoof in both ponies involved was quite a feat! Golden Bit couldn't really take the credit for helping Sky Sailing. The only thing she did was agree to let him have a show in one ofthe empty slots. Something that she would have done anyway, but Wind Dancer had been the one that pushed the issue and told her that she wouldn't regret it. Now, a couple years later, her best family of nocturnal superstars were both proud parents of a very beautiful little filly, and today was going to be the icing on top. She considered herself mighty lucky that she got to watch the rise of these two, and was forever happy that she was able to help Windy get back in the air. She shuddered to think what would have happened to the poor mare if she hadn't up to this point. Las Pegasus wasn't forgiving and a pegasus with a disability would be easy for others to take advantage of.

She shook her head of those nasty thoughts though as she looked at some of the other guests that were arriving. She wasn't surprised to see Ice Storm here. Wind and Sky both were regular performers for her, Sky more often than Windy because she had more indoor venues than she did herself. But ever since she installed that massive lake for the golf course she built, she's been able to put on shows that would rival the Mareage! Well, of course it would rival them... Windy did both of the shows! She was pulled from her thoughts though as a creme colored mare with a Mane that looked... remarkably like candy corn was seated next to her. She'd seen this mare with Windy a few times in the past, but it had been a while since she'd seen her in town. Still, she wasn't surprised to see that she had gotten an invitiation. "Good morning my sweet! Come to join the festivities today?" she asked, more rhetorically than anything. She was in the park on a day that it was closed for a 'private' wedding. Pretty much all of Las Pegasus was surrounding the park, and that wasn't a surprise. Privacy doesn't really exist in this city.

~~~Ice Storm~~~
Ice Storm had known about this day for a while and was one of the hooves that was helping plan for the event. It was a combined effort on her part with Golden Bit to make sure that Wind Dancer and Sky got the permits required to host such an event in a public park without Flim and Flam getting their greedy hooves on it. They tried, but Icy and Golden basically told them to go buck themselves. Honestly, she wasn't sure why they were still allowed on the LP Council at this point. It's been painfully obvious that the only thing that they care for is profiting at the expense of others. Something that had put Flim and Flam on STAR's radar for sure after their latest Friendship U Embezzlement Scheme. She would have put more resources to it, but at this point everypony and their mother knew that those two were crooks. It was honestly a waste of time. She was just waiting for their next big mistake to deal with them in a more formal sense.
Still, today was a day to be celebrated. In addition to making sure things went smoothly for the park, she also had reached out to Princess Luna to do the vows for the two performers. Even though Luna was retired, she was still certified to perform official marital rights. Ice Storm couldn't think of anypony better to perform the rights for two ponies that made their living in the night skies. She just hoped that the princess hadn't forgot. The Ceremony was starting soon, and Luna was nowhere to be found, and Ice was starting to get worried. Enough so that she'd already used her link pearl to have the STAR database start looking for anypony local that was certified for marriages in case of a no-show. Her thoughts were pulled back to the wedding when she heard Golden greet the new arrival. Oh! She recognized her from Nightmare Night! Now that was a night to remember! She politely waved while she let Golden speak.
The mother of the groom was actually seated not too far from Golden Bit; the wedding guests were not separated according to which came with the bride or the groom, unlike many such ceremonies.  Her attention was more or less taken up with her granddaughter, as she was the one who had volunteered first to take care of little Glimmer Skies during the wedding.  The little filly was still bundled up, to keep from going underhoof during the ceremony itself, kept bouncing on a little seat next to the older pegasus mare.  "Your momma and papa are getting married today!"  She said, in a bright voice, though inwardly she reflected that it was a little odd for things to happen in that order.  They usually didn't when she was a filly.
Still, little Glimmy was just having a great day, giggling and babbling in baby talk to any and all who were passing, which included Candy Corn and Ice Storm  She seemed especially excited to see Candy, perhaps sensing her associations with sweets!  "Ca-cad-ee!"
The alicorn sat in a penthouse of her friend Ice Storm's casino. She was here on her request of course. Officiating a wedding was nothing new for most of Equestria's royalty, however it was not often that she herself was asked to do so. That task normally fell to her older sister. Most weddings where during the day after all. Ice Storm had given her some notes about the soon to be newlyweds as she made a few notes of key points of Wind and Sky's time together.  She had finished two versions of the ceremony; A normal one and a shorter one, in case they chose that version if they had written their own vows.
Luna would do a double take as she looked at the clock, and with a glow of her horn, would teleport to just near the park before making her way up to the usher. "I believe I'm expected? Where would you like me to go?"
Sky, who had just been beginning to wonder himself when the officiator was going to show up, sighed a bit with relief as he saw Luna appear, waving at her with a wing.  "Over here, your majesty!"  He'd always felt a stronger connection to the Princess of the night, either because of or despite his lack of sleep at night.  He would fall into the dream realm at all odd hours of the day, but often was awake enough at night to appreciate the soft and gentle beauty of the stars.  They'd served as inspiration for many of his songs, and one of his most famous was dedicated to her in the album release.
Once Sky got her attention, Luna would nod to the usher before making her way towards the soon to be married stallion. "Good day Sky Sailing. I trust that the anticipation of today did not keep you awake...or for that matter cause you to alter your sleep cycle. From just my short stay here in Las Pegasus, I can say the bright neon and lights can be a site to behold."
Looking down the isle, Luna could see the bride waving to somepony, perhaps one of her friends. In the back of her head, the alicorn might have cut it a little closer she wished to admit. Looking to where Ice Storm was, she'd give a smirk before turning to Sky. "If you are ready, I will see thee at the alter," as she slowly took her place at placed her notes on a podium. She didn't have time to memorize vows over a thousand years like her sister. Come to think of it, just how many ponies did Celestia marry?
br5yGmy.jpg?1
Candy returned the wave to her friend as she saw just how beautiful she looked in her wedding dress. Beginning to tear up, she'd answer the pony next to her. "Yep. that's my best friend in all of Equestria there. The pony who showed me around this big, crazy town." With a joyous sniff, she'd look to who she was talking to. "You her boss, right? I think I remember your picture somewhere. Your hotel was the first place I've ever visited outside of Bittsburgh...and Windy was the first friend I ever made that I wasn't related to," she'd smile. "My name is Candy Corn by the way."
~~~Wind Dancer~~~

Wind Dancer wasn't sure if she should sigh in relief or get even more nervous when she saw Luna show up. On one hoof, she felt relief because she was here and had taken her place, but at the same time she was nervous because everything still felt almost too perfect right now. The returned Wave that Candy gave made her smile before she felt her mother pull her into a giant hug herself.

"I know I don't need to tell you this... You already know exactly how your father and I feel, but I'm going to say it anyway. Windy, your father and I are so very proud of you. For never giving up, for never backing down, and for never taking never or impossible for an answer. You are the strongest and most powerful pony that I know, and you have more heart than just about everyone else here, my soon-to-be son-in-law, and his family excluded. You came back from a place that almost no pony can to get to where you are now, and you are a shining beacon of hope to everypony here. And not just the ones in the park, but all of those around it," she heard her mother say, watching as she pointed around. "You and Sky both are living proof that nothing is impossible, and the fact that so many, almost an entire city looks up to the two of you like that... to hear how they talk about you two around town, how you give them hope. How ponies here in Las Pegasus aren't afraid of the hospital anymore because of how much you help it here. And now, You've got your own family, and your own bundle of joy to care for... there's not enough words in the Ponish language that can describe how proud and how happy we are for you. You've deserved this kind of happiness for a while now, and now you've finally been able to achieve it," Wind heard her mother finish, watching her rub a tear from her eye. She withdrew and went to sit in the front row with the rest of the family while her father moved up as per tradition to walk her down the aisle once the music started.

~~~Golden Bit~~~
Golden smiled as she heard the mare talk about Wind Dancer. That was a very common thing for Windy todo around town was to bump into new ponies, sometimes literaly, and become instant friends and help show them around Las Pegasus. Golden Bit herself knew of at least four other times something like that had happened! It's just how Wind Dancer was. She didn't think herself too good or above helping others and showing them a good time even if it wasn't being at one of her own shows. She was content to making others happy,and somepony like that, was truly a one in a million type pony. She definitely deserved that other one in a million pony like Sky Sailing was to start a family with. In a city filled with so many fake and two-faced complexions in it, it was a relief to see the two truly genuine ponies strike gold. She also heard the mare talk about seeing her picture before and presumed that she was the boss of the hotel that she met Windy at. "I am the owner of the Mareage, yes, but I can assure you I am not Windy's boss. She may tell you that I am, but honestly... She is such an amazing and popular pony here, that she is her own boss without question. When Two ponies like Sky and Windy enter your life, you do everything you can to make sure they are happy. They more than deserve it," she said, noting Windy's little one who seemed to be reaching for the mare who introduced herself as Candy. "I am Golden Bit, and it seems this little one here is trying to get your attention," she said with a giggle, hearing the little filly try tospeak and say something that sounded almost like Candy's name
~~~Ice Storm~~~

Ice Storm let out a large sight of relief when Luna showed up. She was definitely cutting it a bit close, and she used her magic on her pearl to quickly relay that fact to HQ so they didn't have to rush to find a potential replacement anymore. She could see the family members making their final arrangements, as she herself returned the wave to the princess who was shown to the podium. She then continued to listened while Candy and Golden spoke. She wasn't surprised about anything that she had heard. These two were truly one of a kind gems. She was about to make her own statement before she was interrupted but the sounds of music starting to play. More specifically, those three specific notes started to play, And Wind Dancer and whom she presumed was her father was now standing in the aisle as the flower ponies started making their way forward.

Hearing the two mares talk to her made Scarlet smile; it was honestly a bit of a relief to know that Wind Dancer's social circle was as genuine as it would have been in a smaller town like Cloudsdale.  She had to admit, though she didn't regret moving to be closer to her family (and grandfoal!), Las Pegasus was a very intimidating city for a newcomer.  The glitz and glamor held very little inherent appeal to her, frankly.

She giggled, as freely as she might have at a smaller meetup, lifting up little Glimmer Skies so Candy could see her better.  "She most certainly does!  And so do I, honestly; many of Wind's friends are going to be Sky's friends, too.  He never had an easy time making them, growing up.  Frankly, I'd been a little worried that somepony would take advantage of him when he went to the big cities, but thankfully the first mare he met here was a wonderful one!  Though, I do have to say for the record that they were born in the same town!"  Scarlett had no small amount of local Cloudsdale pride, as many expatriate pegasi often did, when distributed throughout Equestria as part of weather teams.

"I'm Scarlett, by the way, Sky Sailing's mother."

~~Sky Sailing~~

Swallowing the instinctual nerves that often afflicted normal ponies when in the presence of their Princesses, Sky managed a smile, looking over the skyline of the city... as much as could be seen up close at ground level.  "Seen from a distance, cities like this look like the stars from your sky came down to have a party.  I've been working on a song about that, actually; maybe the city council can use it for events."

But that wasn't the most relevant song to him right now.  Those opening notes announcing the arrival of his bride, the stallion's attention was affixed to the aisle, transfixed by her beauty as she arrived next to him.  His father, to his side, made eye contact with Windy's father, each giving the nod of comradeship.  Their little birds were flying to their own nest now.

Candy was caught off guard the little voice trying to call her name. Hello there little one. When you get bigger Aunt Candy is going to give you all the Candy and Popcorn your parents will let me.” Candy would smile now knowing both mares. “I’m glad that-“ the unicorn would pause mid sentence as she got a glimpse at who the ministmare was. Is…is that Princess Luna?” Before she could get an answer, the music began and Candy began to cry tears of joy as her friend made her way to the alter. “Your mamma and daddy look so beautiful,” she’d say to Glimmer. “And you must be so proud too,” she’d say to Scarlet.

g6hKrYD.png?1

Luna nodded to Sky as the first notes hit and Wind Dancer made her way towards them. Levitating her glasses she would begin reading as the bride reached her mark.

“Family, friends, acquaintances, we are gathered here today to join together the embodiment of Song and Dance. Two ponies who have touched so many live are now beginning a new journey together. The love between Sky Sailing and Wind Dancer should be an example to all in Equestria of what true love and commitment is.” Looking to Sky, Luna would give a nod. Now was the time if he had written his own vowels to recite them.

~~~Wind Dancer~~~
Wind Dancer made the walk down the aisle with her father next to her. Her heart was pounding in her chest as the music played and she saw the princess and her groom standing at the end of the aisle. Everything still seemed to be completely surreal and as she reached the end of the aisle. The music came to a halt, as did she in front of the altar as the princess began to speak. She listened to the opening introduction and looked towards Sky as she directed him to read the vows that they had written for the occasion.
~~~Golden Bit~~~

Golden was going to give more to the conversation until she heard the music start. At that point, it would be rude to continue any personal conversations while the actual wedding ceremony was taking place. "Well, I am very glad to have met you. We should continue this conversation after the ceremony has concluded," she smiled. She then waited as the princess started speaking and the music stopped. She had a well of emotions inside of her, and used her magic a bit to wipe a tear forming in her eyes away. One thing was for sure. Las Pegasus was definitely a much better place while these two were still here.

~~~Ice Storm~~~
Ice Storm remained silent as the ceremony started. She smiled warmly as she watched the little one grab and giggle with Candy. She wasn't sure if the little one understood what she said, but between candy, popcorn, snow cones, and ice cream, this little filly definitely wasn't going to be one for lacking. Ice's attention was then drawn back to the alter as Luna began the ceremony, talking about how the union today was a true symbol of what love and commitment should be like in Equestria. From what she had heard about the couple and what she knew of them when she had them do shows, these two were also a source of inspiration and hope to others, much like the mare that was presiding over the ceremony. A tale of comeback and dedication that was second to none, and were now forming the perfect union. There was a well of happiness inside of her, though the guard inside of her kept her from getting to emotional. She naturally was just keeping an eye our around for neighsayers that might be here to spoil things.
~Sky Sailing~
This was it.
All the innocent daydreams of young love while alone on the clouds in moonlight, all the longing songs of loneliness in his early EP's, all the sudden and unexpected joys that had followed him meeting the love of his life, all of it was culminating as Sky Sailing saw Wind Dancer walk up the aisle, to take the sacred vows of marriage beneath the aegis of Princess Luna.  Right at that moment, he understood why bridegrooms could suddenly faint; and he was swaying a bit, before a subtle wing from his father steadied him, and he was able to step forward with their prepared promises on his lips.
"I, Sky Sailing, promise here in front of all witnesses:
That I shall be the song to your dance,
constant companion in health and distresses,
committed father to all our foals,
Nestmate and wingmate,
Until returned from the sky to the earth,
Your Husband."
It didn't quite rhyme all the way down, but it was poetry, nonetheless.
~Scarlett~
The mother of the groom had to smile indulgently at Candy; look at this honorary aunt, trying to spoil this little filly like she was a grandmother!  Glimmer Skies didn't understand the words, but she knew when she was being indulged!  "Oh, I'm proud as punch right now; seeing your little ones build a nest of their own is just... like the final cap on a lifetime's work."  She didn't say any more, now that the ceremony was starting proper.  As were the happy tears.  Today was a day she was determined to indulge in all the cliches, and why not?
~~~Wind Dancer~~~

Wind Dancer couldn't help but smile a bit as Sky started teetering. Truth be told, she was feeling the same emotions right now. Everything in her life had culminated to this point. The little bundle of joy that was sitting with her grandparents, now trying to play with Candy was a sight to behold as well, but nothing was more important than when Sky started reading his vows. She couldn't help but tear up a bit herself, and knew that it probably wouldn't be the last time that she started crying today. This was a day she'd been looking forward to her entire life, and now it was happening. She waited until Sky finished before speaking up herself.

"I, Wind Dancer, do solemnly swear,

In front of all that would bear,

That I will be the dance to your song.

That you will never want or long.

That both in sickness and in health,

I will stay with you no matter what's dealt.

Until the winds of time take us away,

Your wife I will forever stay,"

She said herself. Her voice was shaky, and there were hiccups in her throat. But she was able to make it. Even with all the performances and shows she'd ever put on, there was nothing that could have prepared her for this moment. Her wedding dress that has been at least somewhat comfortable before now felt like it was on fire it was so hot. It was growing harder by the second to hold back the dam of emotions that was pouring through her as she waited for the princess to speak again.

Luna would smile at Sky as he finished his vows before turning to Wind Dancer. Before she could nod, the pegasus had begun to recite hers as well. The alicorn would smile to her before looking to give Ice Storm a quick wink signaling what was about to happen, hoping that she had informed Twilight, otherwise that was Ice's problem, not hers. Looking back to Sky and Windy she'd nod. "The rings please." Luna's horn would glow as the moon would now be visible in the sky. "It is with great joy that I may pronounce thee husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."

Luna had timed her moon just right so it would pass over the sun just as Sky would begin to kiss his lovely bride.

br5yGmy.jpg?1

By now, Candy has crying tears of joy as she levitated little Glimmer Skies onto her the top of her head, as she had done many of times to her own sisters, to get a view of her parents. As she saw the moon become visible in the sky during the day, her jaw dropped in amazement, thought that wouldn't last long as she began to cheer as Sky kissed Windy.

The vows spoken, Sky began to hear some gasps and reactions in the crowd mixed with cheers.  He paid them or what they were reacting to little heed, however.  He had a beautiful mare in front of him, who had just promised to be with him for life, and this called for an immediate clasping of her with wings and forehooves and a long kiss.  His introverted mind blocked out the world for about a solid half-to-full minute, before he finally pulled back to see a world much more shaded in its look than before.

Looking around with puzzlement, he took a bit to catch Luna's expression and look up at the sky.  He laughed to see the eclipse.  "I dreamt the moon would look over our love; I guess I should have expected my dreams to come true, given that you agreed to marry me, Windy."

~Scarlett~

The mother and grandmother in the red pegasus each vied for control over her attention, from her boy being married infront of her, to her little grandfoal, already stretching her wings out to perch on Auntie Candy's horned head!  This was one of those core memories, all intense with emotion and happiness and tears.  One feels the heavens move to mark it, even if they are literally still fixed in their courses.  However, in this case, Princess Luna herself was shading the occasion!  A blessing, considering how precious shade was in the desert sun.
"Oh, how lovely!  I've... *sniff, sob*  never been so happy!"

~~~Wind Dancer~~~
The cheers that were heard at the conclusion of the vows turn into a cacophonous roar that Wind Dancer was fairly certain could even be heard outside of the city when the Princess said the magic phrase. You may now kiss the bride. Wind Dancer, still feeling the array of butterflies in her stomach leaned forward. Winds, hooves, everything that could move and embrace something moved as she took Sky into the hug that would end all hugs and she pressed her lips to his. It was the ceremonial seal to the ceremony, or at least so she though. She didn't know how long the kiss lasted, but the roar quickly died down as the crowds had been distracted by something else. When Wind Dancer opened her eyes, and pulled back, like Sky she looked around and noticed that everything was a lot darker before noticing that the moon was eclipsing the sun. When she heard Sky speak, she gave him a nuzzle and a giggle. "The night was what brought us together, the night is what made us who we are, the Night is who bound us together, and now the night showers us with stars. I don't think this could have been any better," she said giving him a nuzzle before whispering in his here. "Besides, it was you who agreed to marry me," she teased, since they both technically proposed to the either, neither was wrong!
~~~Golden Bit~~~

Golden Bit sat there with waves of happiness in her heart. While Wind Dancer wasn't a daughter to her by blood, she had watched Wind Dancer grow into what she was today, and had made sure that she could reach her full potential. Suffice to say, Wind Dancer felt like the daughter to her that she never had. Watching the mare that she had a hoof in shaping reach the pinnacle of her relationship and wed hgerself to the colt that she loved, and to have her find a colt that was almost exactly like her in every way, was a one in a million chance, and Windy and Sky both deserved every second of it. Golden wiped some of the drifting tears from her eyes as the started their kiss and finished their vows, but what really got her attention was the eclipse timed when they were doing their kiss. It was a perfect symbol of unity, and considering that both of those ponies had very nocturnal ties, that was about the best thing that could have happened for the two of them. That and Golden Bit wasn't going to pass up any opportunity for shade from the hot Las Pegasus sun. She heard the mother of Scarlet sobbing next to her and she smiled. "You have every reason to be. You raised one heck of a stallion my good mare. Dare I say it would be impossible to find one more genuine. I am truly happy for you and your family. May it grow unto the stars," she smiled to the mare.

~~~Ice Storm~~~
The moment that the sky started turning dark, there was a small look of dread in Ice Storm's eyes. Dang it! I knew there was something important I was forgetting to do this week! Oh well, Twilight had to know that something like this was going to happen. After all, she at least knew that Luna was doing a wedding today. If there was an issue, I'll just say it was lost in the mail... No... that won't work, she knows I'm way too organized for that... she thought to herself watching the scene unfold in front of her. She let out a warm smile as she watched the union cement itself in front of thousands of ponies, and she too joined in the cheers that were being given. You know what, Buck it. Twilight could use the excitement. It will keep her on her hooves. This is way more important, she thought again, still cheering through the crowd.
Luna smirked at the newlyweds before carefully  and slowly returning the moon to its proper position. Looking to Ice Storm and seeing her reaction, she couldn’t help but think of what kind of chaos must be going on in Canterlot. In the current moment however she had bigger concerns, like getting a piece of the wedding cake before Celestia might show up, as she chucked under her breath to her own though. Now that the ceremony itself was a part of Las Pegasus history, she’d close her little book. “As is customary, I believe the reception will soon begin.” Looking at the instructions given to her by Ice Storm, “Please make sure to have thy invitations ready to verify admittance.”
The Nightmare Night colored unicorn’s cheers turned into tears of joy as she soon found herself hugging both Scarlet and Golden. “So beautiful,” she sniffed.
Moonstruck from the first, many would have thought Sky Sailing would sleepwalk through his life.  But right now, in the moment where every good thing that could happen in a dream was physically real in a city park, he'd never felt so awake in his life!  "That's true!  And yet here we are in the daylight, even if it's shaded."  He let out one wing to try to find a place around Wind Dancer's dress where he could wrap it around.  "Come on, I think the rest of the ponies want to celebrate."
"You're darn right we do!"  Nor'Easter called from behind his son, which prompted Luna to announce the beginning of the reception.  That done, Sky would head with Windy over to the entrance to greet each of the guests, before the cutting of the cake.  They took their place, ready to receive congratulations from each in turn.
Scarlett, meanwhile, was torn between reveling in her joyous emotions, and watching out that little Glimmer Starlight didn't fall from her perch as her honorary Auntie drew both her and Golden Bit into a hug.  "Goodness, that was a sight!  I would never have thought the Princess would treat our son as special as, well, we think he is."  It wasn't a public acknowledgement they were used to getting for their colt.  "Ooh, the reception is starting!  I'll make sure they save a corner piece of the cake for you, miss Bit!  Oh, wait, it's round, isn't it?"
~~~Wind Dancer~~~

The way that everything was going at the moment made Wind Dancer giggle a bit, especially when she heard Sky mention that here they were getting married in the daylight, even if it was shaded at the moment. "It does kinda seem like that's how things go sometimes. But hey, this just proves that the day can't hold the night back forever," she said before hearing Luna announce the reception. Sky seemed to note as well that ponies seem to be moving towards the celebration and they were joined by both Nor'Easter and her mom. "What he said!" Morning said, motioning to Nor'easter giving his very affirmative response. "You two really have a knack for spoiling your parents you know. That was one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever been to!" Midnight added, following the newlyweds over to where the reception was going to be taking place, already seeing Ice Storm standing at the gated part of the park that was set up specifically for the even. Ponies had already started lining up, and everything was starting to get arranged as they heard Icy tell the patrons that as soon as the family was admitted and seated, then the rest would be able to enter, and that the two head seats at the table were reserved specifically for the bride and the groom. She took her spot next to Sky after giving all of her parents a hug and waited for the ponies to come in.

~~~Ice Storm~~~
As soon as the 'I Do's' were spoken, and Luna announced the reception, Ice Storm gave a small nod to the group of ponies next to her before she made her way to where the gated entrance to the reception was. It seemed that there were already some ponies that were starting to make their way over there with a smile. With a relaxed, but loud and projected voice, Ice Storm would address the crowd forming up. "All right everypony! If I could get everypony to line up over here, Looping as needed, I will begin allowing admittance to everypony as soon as the family of the Bride and Groom have been seated. The two seats at the head table are reserved specifically for Wind Dancer and Sky Sailing. Please have your invitations at the ready to be admitted. At the request of Wind Dancer and Sky Sailing, once all invitation holders have been seated, We will allow non-invited guests, within good faith, to the reception until we are out of seats. At that point the park itself will re-open, but this section of the park will remain closed. Since there is alcohol here for the reception, I would like to remind everypony to drink responsibly," Ice said with a smile, standing aside and letting the newlyweds in.
~~~Golden Bit~~~

Golden Bit couldn't help but give a chuckle when she heard Scarlett comment about the reception starting and making sure that they kept a corner piece of the cake for her, before realizing that the cake was round. "Most of the time it is anyway. I have hosted a few weddings in my day at the Mareage where the bride and groom did something different. Even their cake is a bit different. It's still the three layer wedding cake, but as you can see, the Topper is the tree, and it has the two of them inside." she said with a smile. "That said I've held you back from your family long enough. I'll catch up with you once I've made my way inside," Golden said turning back to Candy. "Shall we then? I'm presuming you're going to stay for the reception as well," she presumed.

Candy levitated the filly of her head and over to her grand-mare with a smile. “I’ll see you both at the reception. I’m sure yinz can’t wait for the Mother Son dance.” As she waived to them before turning to Golden. “Reception are the best part of weddings,” she say with a chuckle. “Though most of ours in Bittsburgh are held at fire halls.”

A light would go off in her head as she would walk with Golden towards where Ice Storm was. “So, are you related to the pony whom Fort Bitt was named for that’s now Bittsburgh?”

Luna followed the bridal party, though a few steps behind until she reached Ice. Standing next to her, she tried her best to hide her snicker. “So… how Twilighting do you think Twilight is doing right now? After my piece of cake, I should head to Canterlot before something happens.”

Taking up the giggling Glimmer and securing her between her own wings, Scarlett beamed.  "Is it too much to say that I've waited for it ever since Sky was born?  Though, given that Windy has been teaching him, I don't doubt that he'll have to slow down for me!"  Following along with Candy, she arrived with the happy couple, taking up a spot beside her own husband as everypony found their seats.  She spared a glance towards Morning Dew, just in case the other grandmother wanted a turn with the little one.

Wing over wing, Sky was leading with Wind Dancer up to the head of the table, positioned so that each incoming pony could shout a greeting on the way up.  He spoke in a low voice to Wind Dancer, "We have to have some of the best event organizers in the city by now; I was worried leading up to this day that things were going to get crazy right about now!"  He looked around, as the small group of guests they both invited were followed by members of the general public, some fans, some passers by who got interested in seeing who got hitched today.  "We'll see if the ground stays clear long enough for the dances!"  It wouldn't really be Sky and Windy's 'first dance,' given they'd performed together before, but the symbolism counted!

(My apologies on the delays on this.)

~~~Wind Dancer~~~Morning Dew~~~Water Wing~~~
Wind Dancer nodded happily, leaning into Sky as they walked to the table heads and greeting those who attended. "Most definitely. I suppose that's pretty easy to do though when you have the connections that we have now. I mean, Ice Storm over there is literally the commander of an entire branch of the Equestrian Military. If she couldn't run a wedding, I would be questioning her actual ability to protect Equestria as a whole. She definitely fits the bill though. Possibly one of the most caring business owners I've ever met, second to Goldy of course."
"And all of them are second to you," came the voice of a very proud mint green mare that soon found her daughter and her new son locked in her hooves. She wiped some tears out of her eyes with a wing feather. "Two of the most humble and down to earth celebrities that I've ever seen. And we're all pegasi so that's sayin' somethin'," she said with a giggle, poking her elbow into her daughter.
"Mooooom..." Wind replied, sounding more like she did as a filly as she blushed a bit. Her blush turned into a giggle as she leaned back into Sky.
"It's true though. For most pegasi, the Sky is the limit. Just now in your case that statement is a little bit more literal," Water Wing interacted.
"Seriously...? Dad jokes, during the wedding?"
"Technically the reception now sweetheart," he replied, getting an eyeroll from Windy.
Windy just shook her head before looking back over to Sky and Nuzzling him. She watched everypony start making their way in to be seated and smiled at the turn out. She had to admit, the crowd around the park was quite intimidated. She'd put on many shows with crowds like this before, but this one just felt... different. But she had Sky here with her, and that was all that mattered. When he mentioned the dance floor, she smiled. "I'm certain that they will have it quite clean. Dancing is one of the most important parts of the reception," she said, giving Sky's ear a teasing lick. "Besides, Singing and dancing are what we do best," she said in a low sultry whisper.
~~~Ice Storm~~~

"Twilight is either completely calm and relaxed, or will probably be here any moment. There will be no in between. She does at the very least know that there was supposed to be a celebrity wedding today. Though to be fair, most of Equestria knew that these two were getting married today. It is two of the most iconic performers getting married after all. That would be like if Songbird Serenade hooked up with Colouratura. It's gonna make headlines. And seeing that she knew that you were going to be the one performing the ceremony over a couple of performers that make most of their art in the night sky... I'm sure an intelligent mare like Twilight can put two and two together. Although... for as intelligent as she is, she is a bit lacking in the deductive reasoning department. I mean... she spent an entire week trying to prevent a magical doomsday that she created when she sent herself back in time to stop a magical doomsday that didn't exist," Ice laughed, paying attention to seating arrangements. She smiled as Golden Bit and Candy had made their way inside a long with just a couple more ponies. It looked like they had room for about twelve other ponies.

Ice reached up to the ear piece she was wearing. "Alright, we have room for about twelve more. Go ahead and let them in. Prioritize families over individuals," she smiled.

~~~Golden Bit~~~
Golden Bit gave a nod to Scarlet as she started to head in to the reception area, starting to make her way over with Candy herself. When Candy asked about her relationship status with the founder of Bittsburgh, she winced. "Oh do I ever wish I could say yes to that question. Unfortunately, my family lineage is a little bit more tarnished than that. Part of the reason why I'm still single at my age. You see that pony over there," she said pointing towards Ice Storm. "My brother, Golden Hoof, was responsible for destroying her family, leaving her to be abandoned. Some would say that she'd turned out the better for it, but she's not the only one he's affected. Lily leaf, Violet Song, Roseheart, Spring Sun... just to name a few among many others," she said pointing to each individual pony that she'd named. "My brother unfortunately was impotent, and instead of adopting and trying to better Equestria, he decided that he was going to make it everypony else's problem, turn families into dukes and dutchesses at the cost of abandoning their offspring. Not all of them were so lucky as to turn out okay, and eventually it caught up with him," Golden replied, hanging her head a bit.
"Honestly, he should consider himself lucky. Had I found out what he had done and what he had been doing while he was alive... I don't know what I would have done to him myself, but I was already running the Mareage and it was, and still is, one of the most profitable casino and resorts in Las Pegasus. But even that almost wasn't enough to help the families that were destroyed recover. I have made it my personal mission to seek atonement to everypony that was hurt by my brother's actions. My Atonement to Miss Ice Storm there, the very land that her casino now rests on. Sure it was technically Swift Squall that bought the deed for her, but I was the one that was holding the land for it," she stated. She wasn't going to let her know that she had some insight on what was happening before it happened with the Fire and Ice Casino and Resort, but she very explicitly remembered the meeting between Ice Storm and Tempest Shadow. She knew that she was planning something big and she had already watched Ice's Empire of frozen treats, as well as her power level grow. She wouldn't have been surprised if it had been Ice that took out Golden Hoof, but she knew personally that wasn't the case. As it was, today was not the day for such events and waited until they were allowed into the reception area and seated, as well as giving Candy a chance to respond before she would continue.
Luna nodded to Ice Storm's comments. "I do believe it is time for me to be going however. I do not wish to upstage the newlyweds. I know that you are more then capable of handling such a mundane task such. Running your casino is more complex then this," she said with a wink. "I shall see you later back at my penthouse," she said with a chuckle knowing what room Ice Storm had put her in at the casino. "Bring cake back with you, and keep it hidden from my sister. That is all we would need is Celestia to begin wedding crashing for free cake."  The alicorn's horn would glow as she quickly teleported.
Candy had been listening to Golden Bits story. "I see," as she followed. "My family is kinda complicated as well," as she took her seat. "I never really knew my new father. I'm lucky that Pop Corn raised me as his own. You see, my mother had a one night stand with a well off chocolatier from Fillydelphia and never saw him again. I knew something was off as a filly seeing as I was the only unicorn on a farm of earth ponies...and the fact that I had a brown hoof that couldn't even grow field corn. My tallent was in the kitchen makin' sweets." Candy would chuckle "I always assumed I got it from my mother, Sweet Corn, but when I got older it made more sense." Candy would take a drink at the table. "You know, it was my quest to try to locate my real father that brought me here...to your casino...and to meet Windy," she'd smile as she pulled out the well worn Las Pegasus coupon book. "You know, Windy's kindness made me forget about finding that playcolt because I found a true friend."
Sky actually did laugh at Water Wing's dad joke, leaning over to whisper in her ear.  "I'll try not to make too many myself, though I suppose I qualify to do so now!"  All in all, he was just a little too happy to care either way.  He had a beautiful wife now, with a happy bouncing gleaming Glimmer of a daughter, and all their friends around them to feast and celebrate!  The winds had caught his sails, and now he was flying high.
Speaking of, Scarlett had just arrived with Glimmer and her new, honorary Auntie.  Aunties, if Golden Bit wanted in alongside Candy Corn's deal!  "Sometimes you have to find who your family really is, sometimes they're already in the house before you're born.  Doesn't matter either way, family is still family."  She smiled, letting Glimmer's other grandmother take over the time-honored duty of spoiling the little filly.  "It looks like the dance is about to start, Sky.  In what order did you set this up?  I think the first dance is between you two, then Windy and Water, then me and Sky, right?"
"That's right."  Sky confirmed.  "Windy and I also did a special little song for this one too; we'll be playing it on recording while we dance, but I think it came out really sweet."  He smiled back over to her, placing his hat down at his table setting before leading her out as the guests found their seats and cleared the ground.  As the first notes began to play over the speaker, he led Wind Dancer with a wing out in front of the crowds...
