TheFlutterGuy
Has anypony heard of My Little Pony: Roleplaying is Magic? It's basically D&D for MLP, it has a rule book and everything. It sounds like a fun idea but sadly its made to play with friends at your house with pens and paper, but I was thinking if anyone would be up for giving it a go? The rule book has everything you will need to know and it even tells you how to make a characters stats etc. The Rulebook is a PDF on Google DocsIf anyone would like to give it a go then just reply to this thread
FrankT
Tempting... but I'm not very good at RP'ing.. not to mention I've got a poor memory for the statistics it requires. Still...
lordbrony
I wouldnt mind giving it a go but memorizing that stuff hurts my brain seeing that the toughest pen and paper RPG i played is Joe Dever's Lone Wolf
TheFlutterGuy
Because its over the internet all it'll need is a notepad and maybe an online dice roller.Oh and in the notebook it gives you a template for your characters stats etc that you can fill in so you wont need to remember anything

TheFlutterGuy
Yea getting a decent GM with a good storyline might be a bit tricky, but maybe I could give it a go, I'm a little busy at the moment as I'm helping lay a carpet down in about 5 minutes so after that I'll attempt to make a decent storyline, it may take a while though.....But to be fair it does say it involves a lot of improvisation so maybe I wont even need to make a long, thought out story, maybe... Davroth
Funnily enough, I was just thinking about GMing something along those lines. If I did it, though, it would be more beating up monsters and searching treasures. Something more in line with classic D&D (without all the killing ). TheFlutterGuy
That's an awesome coincidence...... but I'm not complaining, give it a go man, I will definatly play if you doIf this does come to fruitition then i think it would be a LOT easier to do it in a live RP chat box other than a forum, opinions? Davroth
Actually, I was thinking about a Livestream setup which would allow me to have a map with movable tiles, which is really handy for fight situations. Maybe in combination with an irc chat.I'll look into it, I don't have all my books around at the moment. The question is, are people interested to play something more combat oriented set in Equestria? (It wouldn't all be combat oriented, of course, but there would be fighting involved.) FrankT
Well, I'm willing to give it a shot if everyone else is. I've played Quest for Glory and some of the Fighting Fantasy books, so I've got a vague idea. Only I tend to forget when it's my turn.
TheFlutterGuy
Davroth you are physically reading my mind i swear.... A live stream is a great idea, if you can figure out how to stream your PC screen then you can get a map and all sorts, and you can make the dice rolls etc.... But yea I for one will definatly play
Davroth
Good, that makes one definitely, and one maybe, and I got one more maybe. I'll try to figure this out, I'll need a few days at least, though, to set it all up.
TheFlutterGuy
Davroth, if you need any help then let me know, i know a couple programs that can let you stream your PC screen, you will have to figure out how to use it but i definatly know that the program works
lordbrony
how about google docs? its crude but it worksps you can make a looooottt of magics with an excel spreadsheet
Davroth
Well, as said, I'd like to have a gridded map with movable tiles, because it makes combats much clearer and easier to follow. And I'm just reading into doing it with Ustream, which seems easy enough. I can figure it out.@lordbrony: So, I take it you would be interested into my proposal, too? Davroth
Don't worry, all it would require from the players is to have an IRC and a website open at the same time. But ok, I'll get my books together and get crackin'. I already got an outline for a small campaign in mind. I'll open a thread soon with some basic information so that we can figure out group compsition, and all those fun things.
Willow Whisper
I'd be up for giving this a shot, if you need more players. I've been wanting to try one of the pony d20 games I saw popping up around the net.

TheFlutterGuy
I'm sure there's a dice rolling program online, if not a random number generator will have to do, and besides if Davroth is livestreaming it he might be doing the dice roll's to stop people from cheating
Davroth
About that, I will make a post soon(ish) where I will address how the setup works, and how I will GM.
BaconofChaos
I am intrigued!
