He's still a foal. Cutie Mark: A lantern with a lit flame History: Guiding Light was born to a relatively normal life. Unlike most of his classmates, he was mainly a quiet and shy pony. This often led to him being bullied by some of them. One day when there was a new moon Guiding Light on his way home wandered into part of the Everfree Forest and got lost. He began to despair and cry when suddenly his horn began to glow. He then produced his first ball of light which allowed him to return home and earning him his first cutie mark.Later, when Nightmare Moon escaped and plunged Equestria into endless night, Guiding Light was at first frightened. Then gathering up all of the courage he could muster, Guiding Light tried to calm his frightened classmates and used his light to guide them to safety. This earned him some fame among his classmates and his teacher, for his bravery. Personality: Quiet and a bit shy, it is difficult for Guiding Light to make friends. However when he does, he can be fiercely protective of them. Guiding Light is able to create small balls of light in the air and move them around. As his skills progress, he will be able to create bigger lights and more of them, even beams of light. It does have its weaknesses as prolonged use of it can make him tired, disoriented or ever unconscious as he is just learning. He also has minor telekinetic skills like most unicorns.He is a bit of a pacifist, preferring to talk things out rather than fight. This is due to in part his ability which although powerful is not very combative. He isn't afraid of the dark but of what lurks within it especially if he is alone.Ironically, while he dislikes the night, he realizes that his ability is most effective in the night. In the day time, his powers are essentially useless. Recently Guiding Light is trying to find out his purpose in the world, and how his skill can be used. he would like to someday be accepted to Princess Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns. brianblackberry Posted January 9, 2012 Report Share Posted January 9, 2012 In the Personality section, you refer to Guiding Light as "Lux" but earlier you mention his nickname is "Light"; that will need to be fixed for the application to one or the other. Normally we don't allow OCs to have previous personal relationships with cast, but Cheerilee is just his class' schoolteacher, so that is considered perfectly acceptable. The only part that needs to be altered here is the spelling of her name, which is of course "Cheerilee" instead of “Cheelilee”. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
