It was one day at school, when one of his curious classmates 'discovered' a hive full of angry bees, Holly Day went to work. Grabbing the school's First Aid kit before his teacher could, the eager colt soon treated all of his stung classmates. When one of them started to display an allergic reaction, Sawbones recognized it immediately and pulled the cart that brought her to the hospital. The attending staff credited the alert colt's quick actions that saved her life. As he stood by her bedside, his medical cutie mark appeared, assuring him that his future was to become a medical doctor. Graduating first in his class at Canterlot Medical School, DOCTOR Holly Day soon joined the family medical practice back home in Fillydelphia. As he grew older, the red maned stallion began to crave adventure, a new challenge for his life. When he heard about the group of settler ponies heading out west, Doc Holly Day volunteered, sighting the need for a doctor in the new community. So he travelled with and helped to build the new town of Appleoosa, where he has served the ponies in the surrounding area ever since from his downtown office (but he also eagerly makes 'house calls' too!) Among his many interests and hobbies are fishing, exploring, darts and checkers. Doc doesn't like to brag, but there are few ponies who have ever defeated the red maned unicorn at checkers. Sometimes he'll play a friendly game in front of the General Store near the cracker barrel with anyone who'd like to challenge him. Though Doc Holly Day's very experienced and holds a wealth of medical knowledge in his mind, he's very humble, mild and 'down to earth.' I can gather that he is always happy and eager about his practice, but what else does this doctor do in his free time? Does he enjoy other activities?
