I liked it enough, I guess. Pinkie Pie was great in it, as usual. "Friendship requires compromises" is a half-assed moral though, don't you think? There's a big ol' conflict, and it gets solved because the apples are tasty? Clearly, they needed to talk it over, and refused to. That's a better moral, I think. They played American Bison (aka Buffalo) as American Indians, in the great plains/'old west'. This makes sense. You didn't see casinos or smoke pipes or, like, scalped ponies. Lucky Breeze Posted March 26, 2011 Report Share Posted March 26, 2011 Did any of you notice how Twilight said "everybody" instead of "everypony" at some point in the episode? Tsk, tsk, writers! =P In all honesty though, I quite liked this episode. It definitely felt different from the rest of the bunch, as this was the first episode in the series that wasn't set in Ponyville at some point. It was a nice change of pace, in my opinion. The humor was also great (horse-drawn horse-drawn carriages anypony?). This is definitely among my top episodes, probably tied with "Dragonshy" and "Fall Weather Friends" in second place. And now I'm stuck not knowing how the episode ends! What to do?What would Fluttershy do? ...Panic? Maybe. What about Pinkie Pie? Spontaneously burst into a song about waiting? ...I don't know any songs about waiting, I'd need to write one myself. Too much work. Twilight? Read a book on waiting? ...Yeah, I'm pretty sure there's no such book. Rainbow Dash would probably just charge in and attack, but I don't see how that applies to this situation. Rarity... start whining and crying on the forums until part 2 gets posted? Nah, you guys don't deserve that. Applejack.. eh, no idea what she'd do. I guess I'll just hide under my bed for now.
