1. HOLY SQUEE THIS IS ADORABLE!!!!!! <3 THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH!
2. Hello all! After seeing so many ponies here with cutie marks in their profile, I want in on the fun....without resorting to using some clip art image I re-coloured..... SO! Instead of using one for my character, I'm thinking of one for myself. My main idea is a doodle of the planet mars..with a gas mask next to it...kind of like this one: http://cdn103.ioffer...6/16/d544_1.JPG I've been artisticall inept for months now...I'm pretty sure almost a year. >__< I also hope my idea isn't too complex. Was thinking of a cutie mark for myself, and gas masks as well as being The Queen of Mars popped into my head first..... If I had money to give I would, believe me..... Thank you for reding, however. -The Queen of Mars
3. Removed homage to the wonderful Peter Cullen. When I was typing up the quote I just imagined this stallion saying it just like that, so on a whim I thought to put it in. No harm done in removing it though. Thank you!! I'm eager to join!
4. Oh, no worries. You guys and gals have a lot to do! I appreciate the feedback, and am getting to work on fixin' it up right away!

Occupation: Pyrotechnician - Local shop owner / Show Tech Motivation: Ember is probably fueled 90% of the time by caffeine alone. She's also driven by a burning desire [or at the very least a slight obsession] to make every show ten times better than her last. This drives her to constantly experiment with new combinations in the hopes of one day making the greatest display Equestria has ever laid eyes on. It also attributes to her lack of sleep. Besides caffeine, Ember keeps her mentor in mind at all times, wanting to carry on his work and make him proud in the hopes that he is watching over her with a smile. Likes: Fireworks, Fireworks Shows [especially the smell afterwards!], Caffeine in any form, Science, Explosions Dislikes: Girly Stuff [What's the point?], Experiment Duds, Boredom, Being a proper mare, Time-out corners, queue lines Cutie Mark Story: No matter what is was, where it was, or what it involved, if given a task, Ember would somehow turn it into a disaster - so much so that she was eventually banned from her school science fair. This didn't put a damper on Ember's enthusiasm, however. Instead she decided to simply 'relocate' and conduct her 'experiments' at home.....much to the reluctancy of her parents' appliances. One warm summer day when her parents and brothers were out and about, Ember had decided she had enough of the time-out corner and thought her time would be much better spent snooping in her brothers' rooms. After a bit of a search, the young filly had stumbled upon a box of what looked to be old fireworks that were all missing their wick. Both excited and disappointed that her potential new toy was nothing but garbage, the filly turned to leave. As she reached the door, however, she had a clever idea. After about half an hour of tinkering and another half hour cleaning up the mess she made, Ember had essentially spliced all the fireworks together into one massive ball of certain destruction. Taking it outside, she lit the replacement wick and dove behind a bush to wait, but nothing happened. Frustrated, she'd spproach her creation and nudge it, getting the same result. Ember was frustrated beyond belief. She was sure it would work, and it was still one huge dud. Disappointed, she made her way towards the door, giving the firework ball a disgruntled zap as she dropped it by the door. Upon being dropped, the 'dud' would rattle and shake before erupting in a small blue plume and crashing through the door where the shell would come to rest in a smoking heap on the kitchen floor JUST in time for mum and dad to see the mess, and just in time for her brothers to comment on the "snazzy new butt tattoo"'. Filled with a sense of pride and three months of being grounded, Ember realized that her simple experiment 'sparked' the adventure of a lifetime. [lame pun is lame. I apologize] History: Ember Willow was born in Fillydelphia where she lived with her mum and dad and her five older brothers. From the getgo, Ember had a knack for getting herelf into trouble one way or another be it adventuring on her own or palling around with her brothers. This constant troublemaking lead her to become good friends with the time-out corner. While her parents shrugged off Ember's behavior as her simply "being a kid", they quickly realized that her middle name should have been 'chaos'. At first, Ember's clumsiness as a young filly would be the sum of it. It was common for Ember to wind up knocking over vases, pictures, fish tanks - you name it. During her school years before as well as after obtaining her cutie mark, Ember's curiosity, excitability and tendency to overreact would become the source of trouble. Her parents weren't too happy when Ember's teacher called them in to report that during recess, the filly had broken a window whilst attempting to use a dodgeball to "hit a bee that was going to kill her". Her late filly years would be filled with a sense of wonder regarding her newfound talent as well as the trials and tribulations that came with being on the verge of marehood. A suggestion by both her mother and father to "stop lazing around destroying the house and get a job" would one day lead her to meet an older unicorn running a small custom fireworks shop in the city. Intrigued by the stallion's collection and now dreaming of doing her own shows one day, Ember inquired about a possible job. The answer she got was a flat-out "no". Just as the downtrodden Ember was about to turn away, the stallion noticed the filly's cutie mark. He stopped Ember and explained that he had never had family of his own nor had he seen any fillies with a cutie mark like hers. He explained that this shop was set up for him to do what he loved. Money wasn't a priority, and it shouldn't be for her either he mentioned. To this day Ember can quote the stallion as having said, "We each have a spark inside ourselves that makes us unique. What you do with that spark is what will shape your future. If you crave money, that spark will lose it's significance, but if you use that spark to improve the lives of others, you'll shine brighter the stars in the sky." Seeing the wonder in Ember's eyes as he spoke ensured the Stallion that this decision would not be one to regret. Giving a gentle smile, the stallion would offer Ember a place by his side as a sort of apprentice to watch and learn what went in to making spectacular fireworks, and how to customize them to satisfy anypony's desire. Without the slightest bit of hesitation, Ember agreed and took on an apprenticeship. During her apprenticeship, the older stallion would teach Ember what truly went into fireworks. From the wick, to the shell and the gunpowder and everything else inside. The filly would gain a hooves-on experience by taking apart and re-making numerous fireworks, adding different elements to give each one their own unique kick. She even accompanied the stallion to a surprise fireworks show he would put on for the ponies in town. Helping him arrange the order of the fireworks, and kicking of the show, Ember was given a first hoof glance at why the stallion did what he did. The wonder on the young fillies' and colts' faces combined with the excited gasps and cheers would bring a smile to Ember's face. Knowing that she could mistify ponies everywhere and bring such joy would be the deciding factor for the soon-to-be mare. From that point on, she made it a goal to one day put on the grandest fireworks show ever known to Equestria. Seeing the determination on Ember's face, the old stallion couldn't have been more proud. As time went on, the old stallion would grow older and weaker. When she stepped into young marehood, Ember was promoted from her apprentice status and started running the shop with her mentor's help. While she took on the task of making, perfecting and selling the fireworks, the stallion would step back and watch with pride - feeling confident that the young mare would continue to astonish ponies like he had done years before. Everything he saw in Ember was reminiscent of his own journey towards stallionhood, and now that he was getting on in age, he felt the time had come to make the student the master. Over the next few weeks, Ember would run the shop alone. The stallion had left notes apologizing for his absence and stating that he was feeling much weaker than he had before, but was confident in the young mare's talents. While saddened by his absence, Ember would work dilligently, intent on making her teacher proud and using everything she learned to make a difference. Sadly, as nature and the cycle of life would have it, the old stallion would pass. After days of no notes from her teacher, Ember would recieve a note at her new house just as she would head out to the shop. With explicit instructions to only open it once she arrived, Ember would hastily make her way to work where she eagerly made the note her first priority. The excited mare was quickly and swiftly dealt a blow upon reading. It had been from her teacher and read: While still saddened by her teacher's death, Ember would smile. She had grown quite a lot during her time at the stallion's shop - both physically and mentally - and now she was able to create the same wonders she had feasted her eyes upon as a filly. She had discovered her talent and honed her skills to perfection in her teacher's eyes. She had worked through apprenticeship, making constant progress along the way.....and now she owned her own shop! While it was still a bittersweet beginning, and though her mind was lost in thought, Ember would snap from her slight daze upon hearing a young colt yammering to his mum excitedly about the fireworks. In an instant a broad smile appeared on her face. Everything the stallion had taught her was now displayed at the shop. Her own work - admired by ponies young and old, and one day the greatest show in all of Equestria would be hers. Flaws: Like most ponies, Ember is far from perfect. She is often impulsive, especially when working on her fireworks. She'll forego safety 75% of the time and add whatever she thinks will make a big bang. It usually does too - right in her face. Ember is also rather impatient, and gets annoyed easily when waiting for results or waiting for anything else. [ Amusement Park lines are pretty much her worst enemy] She tried to remain levelheaded, but is headstrong and has a fairly short fuse at times Personality: At first glance, Ember seems confident and ready to take on the world. She has a love of adventure and is always ready for whatever challenge may come her way. Ember can be both outgoing and sociable as well as a bit of a recluse depending on her mood and what she might be doing. Hanging with her friends is always nice, but sometimes she just needs to spend a night with her pet. She's also rather boyish and will eagerly choose getting dirty over going to a spa any day. She tends to drag her friends on all sorts of adventures. Usually these outing have a bit of risk, but is guaranteed to be fun so long as you don't mind trouble looming over you. Of course her friends are usually adventurous and get into trouble on a fairly regular basis, so a bit of trouble is never an issue. When she isn't out with her friends or playing with her dog, Ember is working on her fireworks for both the shop and her shows. When it comes to her shows, she takes the upmost precautions to ensure that her displays are both awe-inspiring and safe. Despite her lack of personal safety when creating the fireworks, she knows that even one stray firework could ruin a show, and cause a lot of harm. Any show is preformed at a distance so that the falling embers don't land too close. She loves what she does and would hate for anyone to get hurt while enjoying her talent.
