Hello and Welcome to QL'S Guide! I know I already posted earlier today on how to Register your nickname on Canterchat! Link to it is here! But for now I want to talk to you about how one should act, and roleplay in the new and improved Canterlot IRC Irc is a bit different than the old chat, this guide will be broken up into 3 parts 1: Name Etiquette 2: Chatting Etiquette 3: Roleplaying Etiquette Name Etiquette It should BE obvious but you should NEVER use a username that is not yours, and when
My OC Zap Apple is 3 and a half years old now, seems like yesterday he was a newborn foal. Though it seems likely the intention within the universe of Equestria in the show was that foals were like elementary kids and the students in the school of friendship are around teenage years, I have been thinking about how I want to age Zap for the future. He may never see older ages simply because we don't typically RP that much in the future, but because of how Season 9 ended, and how I have been build
It was a task, but I finally simplified and reset all the linkage and images on my RP log to reflect my RP experience on this forum. It's been quite a journey. It's kind of bewildering how many threads I've been involved in, how many different people I wrote stories with, and how far some of my OCs have gone, even the ones I wasn't planning on taking very far.
In all of my threads that are not active, I have posted in character about 1,300 times, and this is not including posts in 10
Today I'm taking a break from the mind-numbing task of RP history logging and going back into the best part: Posting Ponies!
I have started two new threads for one-on-one opportunities. First a thread with PrinceBlueblood where I can start using my new zebra student!
Second, a new user by the name of SparkSan is starting a new story with her new OC and my Granola Gracie. Hello and welcome to the family, Spark!
And finally, I have resurrected a thread with PyroBlaze in t
I want to do the dirty work of revamping my heavily neglected RP log. But in order to do that, I realized the best way was to reflect on all the posts I made on Canterlot.com. Yes, all of them. It's taking more time than I realized crunching the numbers and filing all of them together so that they are organized by character and activity. I can't believe how much pony I have posted. So many stories. So many friends. So many memories. Seeing these old threads with old friends really touched me and
Introducing my latest open thread, Fluttershy is opening up her sanctuary to visitors, but for only one day. She wants to use this time in order help outsource her care of animals to others, that they might also find meaning in the critters around them. What could happen in this thread? Here are some examples:
Caring for sick pets
Visitors helping care for animals
Animals causing mischief
Possibly other things!
Today I have worked on and finished two new character applications for World of Equestria role play. I've been wanting to make these for a while, and finally got them on paper. So here they are. Introducing: Zareb the zebra, and Sky Beak the hippogriff!
For my third day of Hippo week, I'd like to honor my B.P.R.P.F.F. (Best Pony Role Play Friend Forever), SteelEagle. Over the years, him and I have posted many ponies, and occasionally did so in the form of text chat. This allowed us to react to each other in a different, more immediate way, as well as add some story fill to other role players in threads that require some dialogue to expand the scope of the narrative. We did it when it called for it, but mostly we did it because it's really fun!
((The following is an interlude to the story thread here in which Remington takes off for gym class before meeting with his fillyfriend Moonlight later that evening.))
When Remington arrived at the gym, he went into the stallion's locker room to change out of his uniform and into his more athletic appropriate clothing. Not that it would make much of a difference for him. He wasn't very athletic, but like most ponies that would endure a gym class like this one, he would on
Back to Life
a short story
inspired by "Back to Life" by Sam Synthis
A light blue pegasus fell from the sky. The atmosphere was partly cloudy sunny skies, but the stallion seemed lifeless and immobile. His eyes were closed and his wings unfolded, only being moved by the air around him as he plummeted. No one else was around. It's not understood why he is falling. Was he knocked out? Did he fall asleep? The ground kept growing nearer and nearer underneath him, without a sign o
Artefact sat lounged in his oversized luxury armchair, looking into his fireplace. He sighed and took a sip of his hot cocoa. Art had been alone in his large house for several years, now. His father had passed away, leaving him the house as well as the Crystalle Family business. However, all the bits in the world didn't mean much when he was all alone.
The grandfather clock chimed the half hour. Tonight was Hearthswarming Eve, but for the seventh time, he'd be spending it by himself. He felt a
This came about based off what I've seen from the show and is meant to counter the idea that Griffons are represented in fanon sometimes as part of a warrior empire.
Griffons are highly independent creatures that have no significant form of a society of their own. Their once prosperous kingdom fell during the reign of King Guto when the Idol of Boreas was forever lost. Griffonstone is the last remnants of what could be considered Griffon society, but it is merely just a hotspot for G
This was brought to me over the question: Why do the changelings feed off of emotions and stuff? The original deceptive predatory nature of the Changeling seemed pointless when the Changelings could have just integrated themselves with the pony society. It's such predatory nature that is the reason why they were feared by ponies in the first place.
Changelings weren't always, well, Changelings. They were originally known as "Love Bugs," living in conjunction with the ponies. They lo
I believe I promised an explanation of what I've been up to. Well, here it is! I know; a bad start. But bear with me.~
Though I've lived in the same city for my whole life, I've moved 3 times. Times are tough. Anyway, the second move by far put me in the worst situation. My grandmother and I moved in with my aunt and one of my cousins. Things were fine at first. We got along, had fun, and were civil to each other. I can't remember the moment everything went wrong; frankly, just men
I had avoided watching any of Season 8 because I just didn't care much for the show anymore, well that and I no longer have access to Discover Family. However, I took time today to watch episodes from that season and I must admit, they were pretty good.
NOT saying that I have my full enthusiasm for MLP again, but at least I feel good viewing this latest season.
Shows are hard to find on YT, guess Hasbro changed their policy on them since last season.
My pairings : ( NOT ALL WILL HAVE KIDS!! )
Tempest Shadow and Fluttershy [ I have a very interesting story for these two ]
Maud Darlene Pie (I made this up, it fits to me) and Trixie Lulamoon
Thorax and Spike
Pinkamena Diane Pie and Princess Twilight Sparkle
SciTwi and Timber
Sunset Shimmer and Flash Sentry
Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst
Shining Armor, Princess Cadence and Queen Chrysalis [ Love has no boundaries for these three ]
Sorry guys, but with my moving, as well as some other stressful stuff, I won't be able to continue the playlist of the week for now. I will still be posting on the forums, so no worries there!
Anyways, hope to see all ya as soon as I can,
So, it's Time to d-d-d-d-d-d-duel!
Seriously though, Hope you guys had a good week, and to help this week be the best it can be I bring another case of tv themes, animated this time!
So, Let's get Digital!
Obviously I had to start with the Theme for MLP
I just couldn't find a good cover of transformers show theme, so (Or for that matter, the original..)
Got a bonus song this time, this guy does a really good job of doing about 20 cartoon themes
So, last week, I promised a trip to TVLand, and when I went to set up the tour, I found that there were way too many themes for me to choose, so I decided to break them apart. This week will just be Live TV shows. Mostly, The songs are the theme songs, but Tom Sawyer for instance is from a specific episode of Chuck, so...
Hopefully this brought back some memories
Next week, It'll be time for the Animated shows! That list is gonna be a heck of a lot longer.
So, Who's ready to take a trip around the United States?
We got representatives from California, from Las Vegas, from New York, and even from Bowling Green, Kentucky!
Next week, we'll take a trip to Tv land, so don't change that channel!
So, it's that time of the week again! Last week was pretty upbeat, but with only a few weeks of summer left, I figure it's time for the obligatory list of Summertime songs.
Now most of these are songs that make me think of summer, not songs that are specifically about summer, and I have to say, I may be in trouble. It's only the third week, the third list, and I've already kinda had trouble making it... so fingers crossed, I can keep the steamboat rolling on the river!
So, last week, I promised a more upbeat playlist. While I can't guarantee that you'll find this one better, I personally use it when I'm feeling low, to get myself in the mood to rock out and take on whatever lemons life will throw at me.
Remember, When Life gives you lemons, tell life to back off, make lemon grenades, and burn life's house down for giving you those yellow sour demons...
Next week, we'll be having some fun in the sun!
Hello everycreatureone. It is I Szalhi, commander over the creatures of my creation and the most human thing on the world (take that robots.) Or basically, I'm just a user if you're boring and need clarification. This is my first Blog that is not completely satirical (although if you want me to keep doing the wholesome episode reviews, then I'll totally do that. I've only done Four episodes so far, and It's totally been hard work.)
In this blog I'm going to talk about something I ha
What a great start to this blog, with sorrow and pain! Jk
To get serious though;
Last year, we lost a very talented musician, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park fame. Last week, July 20th, to be exact, was the one year anniversary. So, to celebrate this Beautiful singer's life, This week's playlist is a tribute to his work.
Not only is there songs by Chester and Co, but also some people who were affected by his work.
