Image by SmittyG Gilda landed in the Royal Gardens and rubbed her crown feathers, "First I decide to start trying to fix this with the Junior Speedsters, reasonable enough, but suddenly, Come to the Grand Galloping Gala with us, Gilda. What's next, will they have me completely convert to lame-ism?" She plucked at the blue robes-like dress she had been given, a few of her feathers were 'off-feeling' under it. Her parents had at least allowed her to forgo suffering the Main Hall and Ballroom, the hoity-toity music echoing off the pristine walls had been close to driving Gilda nutty once again. Out here, in the Gardens, there were less of the upity-looking mares and stallions who made up the majority of the Gala's visitors. Though the decor of the place didn't fare much better than the rest of the entire town and castle. Gilda liked Talonopolis and its gritty character, though it was admittedly a little too gritty for her to desire to be there all the time. She heard some voices around the next hedge, and they sounded youthful enough to belong to ponies who weren't nearly as lame as the crowds back in the main parts of the palace. She rounded the corner and saw the group of ponies, no griffons, but it would be better company than the rest of the Gala-goers. Seeing Fluttershy didn't drum up the memory of the incident in Ponyville right away, especially since she was wearing her dress, so Gilda continued casually, "So what's going on here? Talking about critters? How about hawks or eagles, or something?" Gilda offered the friendliest smile she could muster given her still rather sour mood.

Name: Shadow Dive Gender: Female Age: Older Filly/ Young Mare: 19-ish Species: Pegasus Pelt Color: Dark Grey, almost Black Mane/Tail Color & Style: Her mane is scruffy and long in the back, with the same case on her tail, both are a dark shade of midnight blue. Eye Color: Sky Blue Cutie Mark: A long black arrow pointing downward with multiple, alternating, dark blue and black shock-waves emanating from the shaft. Physique: Average height, Shadow has a relatively athletic build, though her legs aren't as far along as her back and wings. She is quite agile and aerodynamic. Residence: Cloudsdale Occupation: Night Shift Weather Control Assistant Motivation: Frequently feeling isolated due to her dark color, she assumes that everyone associates her with the night, darkness and the unknown. She wants, fervently to make friends, but often slinks away, especailly from her fellow pegasi, despite her flying affinity and her uncanny ability (special talent) to keep a level head when hurtling toward the ground at extreme speeds. Wonderbolts membership is one of her hopes, but not necessarily her main focus. Likes: Night-flights, where her black flight-trail is less noticeable, Nighttime in general, Diving/Flying, Friends, Ponies who would look past her differences and/or embrace them, The Moon, Princess Luna Dislikes: Being arbitrarily stuck together with things like the Shadowbolts and Nightmare Moon, Being criticized, Gossip, Griffins to a mild degree Character Summary: Born to a family of dark-colored pegasi, Shadow had felt normal until her first day at Flight Academy. She performed very well until a group of griffins began teasing her for her dark colors, allusioning it to being evil with names such as Shadow Death, Shadow Dark and Devil Dive. Hurt by their words, she stopped trying to excel and just tried to get through as under-the-radar as possible to avoid being criticized more. She avoided flying during the midday hours like a plague, but in the night, she would practice, becoming progressively a more affluent flyer. She graduated with no particular honors, and as the night came and her peers went their own ways, she took to the sky and flew as high as she could. When she could barely breathe, she turned back to the earth and dove at the ground miles below her, willing herself to push past the mean remarks of the griffins and the others she had assumed shared their feelings about her. She burst through the sound barrier in a deafening crack, but instead of the brilliant rainbow wave created by one of her peers, a stark black wave tore out from where she had achieved the speed. She told no one of the event, as it had scared her more than make her feel achieved, as the event had caused her cutie mark, a black arrow with black and blue shock-waves eminating from it, to appear. A special talent that resulted in such an unnatural occurrence left her with a low opinion of herself, and she signed up to be on the night-shift weather patrol to avoid potentially prying eyes. She has began to feel lonely and has been shifting her schedule to include daytime hours as well, hoping to make friends, but she remains unsure of whether or not other ponies will accept her. After being alone for a while, her personality has roughened. She doesn't take kindly to criticism.

I haven't abandoned this, I'm just working on the backstory of Helios and how Helios and Equestria are related and how they are different. Like how Cloudsdale exists back then and such.

Should I use those terms to describe humans/humanoids, though?

Well, this is my best attempt so far imo, Daiamid of Time, Chapter 1, an AU story where the mane cast go over 10,000 years into the past, and witness and participate in, Equestria's founding and the Regal Sister's rise to power against the Old Gods. I'd like some advice and tips on what I can do better. And please, nothing like 'Start over', 'Give up' or 'New Plot'

Gomez, male age 19. I want to become an aircraft pilot. (Bet you can't see where this is going.) I actually sought out Friendship is Magic in an attempt to have some other fantasy-verse defeat Equestria in a VS match on the Spacebattles forum. My opinion of the show softened as I looked deeper into it. Then I saw Rainbow Dash and her dream to join the Wonder Bolts, and boom. I was taken back to my childhood when I had dreamed about joining the Blue Angels. Nuff said.

I ended up having to resort to gimp, and it came out god-awful. But the final judgment, ultimately, isn't mine to give. Was also going to put the Wonderbolts symbol in the place of the American flag, but by the time I had isolated her face, I was about to prepare myself for a new laptop screen.

If only I had photoshop... I shall return.
