Hot and Cold

Yesterday, I decided to kick back and watch The Simpsons. About halfway through the episode, I started to crave some hot chocolate. It was a cold night so some hot chocolate would have been awesome. I got up and walked into the kitchen where my cat was watching me from the top of the fridge. (He is always up to something crazy). I opened the fridge and I pulled out some nice cold milk. With my cat still observing, I pulled a glass out of the dishwasher and set it on the counter near the milk. I filled the glass about 3/4 the way with cold milk and stuck it into the microwave. It had been a while since I last made hot chocolate and I wasn't sure how long to keep it in there. I set it for 4 minutes and went back to watching my show. The next episode of The Simpsons was coming on.

About 2 minutes later I heard a small clink. I didn't think much of it. Not long after the microwave went off and I went to take it out. The glass was incredibly hot. I, being fresh out of bed from a nap, made the worst decision of the day. I decided to pour a little bit of cold milk into the hot milk to cool it off a bit. With a loud clink the glass split in two right down the seam. The milk went everywhere. It went under the microwave, the toaster, into the drawers, and all over the floor. I just stood there, shocked by my own stupidity. Mr. Kitty decides to hop down and he starts licking the milk off the floor. I decide to unplug the microwave and the toaster immediately. As I am picking up the toaster, the crumb tray falls open and all of the crumbs fall into the milk on the counter. My cat then proceeds to puke up a milky hair ball near the oven......

Man I just wanted some hot chocolate. :scream:

Poor you ! But I have to admit, it was pretty fun to read ! :D

One minute is fine for hot chocolate (I live on that really) two if you like it very hot. Then again it depends on your microwave.
