Please read and understand all of the the following if you intent to apply for a cast character in the World of Equestria Roleplay environment. Additionally, the Canterlot Census Cast List can be found HERE; this page, which details the process for submitting cast applications as well as listing available cast characters should always be consulted before applying for a cast character. Anyone interested in playing as a cast character should consider following the thread.
Because cast characters are a major draw to Roleplay and in high demand, anybody playing one will be held to a higher standard than OCs (Original Characters). Be prepared. The following is the list of rules that apply to cast characters.
Cast Character Rules:
- Cast characters use the same Application Form as OC characters.
- Remember that OC's (Original Characters) may not have any previous relationships with Cast characters.
- If multiple people apply for the same available cast character, all Applications are then evaluated, and the staff decide which will be the best fit.
- Cast characters should stay up-to-date with the show, as the canon is actively evolving with each episode.
- Cast characters are responsible for playing as their characters' pet(s), if they choose to.
- Roleplayers are allowed a maximum of three total characters from Tiers 1-2.
- Roleplayers are allowed only one T1 character.
- A star ★ by a Roleplayers name (on the Cast List) means that they play their maximum four characters.
- Please message an RP Helper if you notice that a cast character has become inactive but is not yet available.
Inactivity:
- If you are rolepaying a cast character and need to take time away from the forums, please post in Planning or Leaving topic. (For periods longer than 2 weeks, alternate arrangements may need to be made.)
- Unannounced inactivity will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
- Inactive users are those who have not posted as their character within 7-12 days. They will receive a warning through PM.
- Failure to post as cast character(s) and reply to the warning PM in 7 days will result in the character being revoked. (However, exceptions may be made.)
- Cast activity is vital to the forum's success, therefore every time a seven-day warning is issued out to a player for character inactivity, they will receive one hidden "cast warning point." If three points are accumulated within six cast checks, a player may lose the character due to chronic inactivity.
Tier Specific Activity Rules:
Tiers 1-2:
- Roleplayers applying for a cast character need to be active. The minimum for Tier 1-2 Cast characters is two roleplay posts per two week period.
- All Tier 1 cast characters need to be in active in at least one thread that open to all roleplayers.
- Tier 1 cast applications will remain open for two weeks when a character becomes available.
- Tier 2 cast applications will remain open for one week when a character becomes available.
Tier 3:
- The minimum for Tier 3 cast characters is one roleplay post per two week period.
- Roleplayers are allowed to apply for any number of Tier 3 background characters. However, if the staff feel that you have too many background cast characters, we may ask you to refrain from applying or give up some. We're trusting you guys not to hog all the background characters.
- Roleplayers may only apply for a background cast member once every two weeks. This is also to help keep down hoarding.
- Tier 3 cast Applications will remain open for five to seven days when an Application is received.
