  1. That's not a panel; that's a crusher. We sell those too.

Those of you helping us test the repulsion gel today, just follow the blue line on the floor.

Those of you who volunteered to be injected with praying mantis DNA, I've got some good news and some bad news: bad news is we're postponing those tests indefinitely. Good news is we've got a much better test for you: fighting an army of mantis men. Pick up a rifle and follow the yellow line. You'll know when the test starts.

This first test involves something the lab-boys call repulsion gel. You're not part of the control group by the way - you get the gel. Last poor son of a gun got blue paint, ha ha ha! All joking aside, that did happen. Broke every bone in his legs - tragic. But informative! Or so I'm told.

The lab boys just informed me that I should not have mentioned the control group, they're telling me I ought to stop making these pre-recorded messages - that gave me an idea: make more pre-recorded messages. I pay the bills here, I can talk about the control group all damn day!

The average human male is about 60% water. Far as we're concerned that's a little extravagant. So if you feel a bit dehydrated in this next test, that's normal. We're gonna hit you with some jet engines and see if we can't get you down to 20 or 30 per cent.

You meant these, right? (All above are from Cave Johnson.)

  2. Yay an new pony!  Welcome!  As for the older generation ponies...remember, some of us pegasisters here grew up with them (and didn't know such magickalness as this thing called friendship until recently!)

  3. "Evil will always triumph over good because good is dumb."-Dark Helmet, Space Balls

"Insanity doesn't run in my family. It practically gallops." -Arsenic and Old Lace-1944

"The time-traveling is just too dangerous. Better that I devote myself to study the other great mystery of the universe... women!" -Doc Brown, Back to the Future part II

  4. Cherry followed him closely, listening to his every word.  She focused on an alley briefly and grumbled under her breath, pausing to observe the abuse a poor pony was taking simply for showing their weakness.  "Sherlock...I know we probably shouldn't intervene, but that poor pony is getting beaten...I can't stand by and watch!" She stated, her eyes blazing with subtle anger as she began to trot toward the alley.  He had said to be observant and not show weakness...well, she wasn't going to show the latter and as to the former...well, it was better than being distracted with such a powerfully build stallion.  She shook her head to clear the thought, finding that it didn't want to simply dissipate.  She paused, hanging her head.  "I can't step in and fight distracted...not like this." She muttered, turning back to where her mentor stood.

  5. Cherry bounced up, his invitation to learn what he termed street-smarts more than enough for her.  She had to once again fight a blush at her own eagerness, refraining from flying at him as she trotted to his side.  "So...where to, Sherlock? Uhm...sorry..." She muttered, her apology coming from the way her tail was swishing over his flanks.  She had to learn to control herself, especially as she had to focus on the task at hand!

  6. Cherry blushed when Sherlock smiled at her, focusing her attention back on the letter of the missing bracelet.  "Fast fillies and slow ponies, huh?  Could he have hired someone to have it 'stolen', sold it and hid the gambling debt that way?  Sorry...it just intrigues me that she couldn't have noticed a debt of that many bits missing without some sort of track covering..." She mused, nodding at his advice for patience.  She could be as patient as she needed to be for this, though she was itching to get started.

  7. Name: Sandy Shores

    Sex: female

    Age: Mare

    Species: earth pony

    Pelt Color: Light Blue

Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: Ocean Blue mane and tail with pearls twined through both.

    Eye Color: Light Pink

    Cutie Mark: Three Fish

    Physique: Slender, willowy, fit

Origin: Sandy was born and raised in Seasaddle Bay. She still resides there.

    Roleplay Type: Mane

    Occupation: Swimming Instructor

Motivation: Sandy loves to swim and wants to teach all the ponies in the region to enjoy being in the water as much as on land or in the sky.

Likes: Swimming, Foals, Colts, Fillies, a handsome stallion, fish

Dislikes: Sushi, layabouts, bad parents, irresponsibility

Character Summary: Sandy is the daughter of Bay Runner and Rocky Coast, a fitting pair of earth ponies dedicated to the sea. Her mother, a marine biologist, taught her to swim at an early age, giving her the room to develop her own style of swimming. That is, until she got caught in a riptide and nearly drowned. Since then, she was under constant supervision, no matter what she was attempting, be it trying to fly (that was an epic fail) to befriending the Hippocampi. Her father, an oceanographer, taught her to trust the fish of the sea to teach her to be a better swimmer, letting them guide her to avoid the riptides and undercurrents that flow below every body of water. She got her cutie mark when one of her friends got caught in the riptide her very first time into the water. She made up her mind then to teach all her friends, and eventually everypony, how to swim. She loves teaching and would give the world to see her fillies, colts, and foals that she taught spreading the joy of swimming themselves. Her cutie mark represents her desire to see all the fillies and colts she teaches ‘swim like fish’. When she’s not teaching, she spends her time gathering pretty seashells to give to her mother, whom she still visits. Her father recently passed away, giving her a bit more motivation to teach the children. Though her mother disagrees with her still being single, she can’t help but be proud every time she sees her students swimming and playing. She dreams of one day being able to give Equestria a colt or filly that is just like her parents, a perfect blend of all the various avenues of sea life.

If she sees litter on the beach, she will always clean it up. There is nothing she fears more than knowing that the negligence of other ponies has killed some of her underwater friends. She has frequently visited the underwater cave of the Hippocampus that she had practically grown up with, occasionally staying with her instead of facing the reality that her father was gone and her mother was fading without him.

  8. Cherry waited patiently while Sherlock spoke, taking a dainty sip of tea before looking over the letters he had placed in front of her.  She agreed with his statements, tapping the one involving the bracelet.  "How do we know it's not just fallen off her hoof somewhere she doesn't normally visit or doesn't think to look for?  She says she looked everywhere she could THINK of, not everywhere she had been." She inquired, pointing out a very clear point before leaning back.  She smiled at him, trying desperately to not let her mind run away with her again.  "How do you know you've found the right case?" She queried, her curiosity piqued as she watched the stallion in front of her.

  9. Cherry smiled at Miss Canter as she was led into Sherlock's apartment, her eyes widening in delight as she took in the sights before her.  She had to fight back a laugh as Sherlock woke, shaking her head at his reaction to his land mare.  She grasped Miss Canter's question almost immediately, and shook her head.  "Oh, no!  No second thoughts." She beamed, acknowledging that she was determined to do her job well.  At Sherlock's compliment, she blushed.  "No, it's ok...take your shower." She murmured, smiling at Miss Canter as she left the tea.  She was just as troublesome as he was, perhaps more for her determination to get whatever information was needed.

  10. Cherry was relieved to see the builiding in which she would now be apprenticing, her wings taking her down to in front of the door.  She remembered much about the previous day, from the fight outside her sister's shop to nearly begging for this position from her new mentor.  Not that she minded begging...it was just really hard to keep doing when you were a bit more focused on the handsome...She shook her head, raising a hoof to knock on the door.

"C'mon, Sherlock...you have to be home..." She murmured, reminding herself that she might have misinterpreted the location...no, he had said this building, and she would wait.

  11. I have a couple of recommendations myself!  The first is Children of Men. [R] Sci-Fi Drama, Action, Emotional, Gritty.

Alfonso Cuaron directs this Oscar-nominated film version of P.D. James's classic dystopian novel, a futuristic drama set in a world in which humans have lost the ability to reproduce and subsequently face certain extinction. Things change when a single woman mysteriously becomes pregnant, prompting a conflicted government bureaucrat (Clive Owen) and his ex-wife (Julianne Moore) to join forces to protect her. Michael Caine co-stars.

    My Opinion:

A very touching movie that will have you on the edge of your seat.  I admit I'm a marshmallow and it made me cry.

My second recommendation is Surrogates.  [PG-13] Sci-Fi Action, Dark, Suspenseful

Based on Robert Venditti's graphic novel of the same name, director Jonathan Mostow's sci-fi thriller is set in a futuristic world in which humans hibernate at home while living their lives vicariously through robot surrogates. When a series of mysterious surrogate murders occurs, FBI agent Greer (Bruce Willis) ventures out into the world for the first time in years to investigate. Radha Mitchell and Ving Rhames co-star

    My Opinion:

A very in depth movie, with a compelling plot.  From the very beginning it had my attention, and it never once let go.

  12. I have a kitty named Chell, we found her in a dumpster earlier this year and she's awesome. She's a purebred Abyssinian of an unknown age (estimated 6-10 years old)

You named your kitty Chell.  You, dear, have my eternal envy.  She's beautiful!
