Watched the Amazing Spiderman on the plane. I'm indifferent about this reboot. The cast, story, and acting was definitely more interesting than the old one, but it didn't feel as comic book-ish. Maybe I just miss the cheesiness of the old one.

Earlier I saw "The Green Mile" and I am not watching "Lawrence of Arabia"

The Green Mile! Haven't seen it in ages, yet I still remember how powerful that movie was. As for Lawrence of Arabia, it's very slow and usually puts me to sleep. Plus, I don't really like how it romanticizes the story of a spy.

Fantastic. It really sets your imagination going. And the music is jaw-dropping.

Also, I finally saw Batman...and I could have skipped it. Worst of the three by a decent margin. Perhaps I had my expectations way too high after "the dark knight".

That bad? I admit, the story wasn't as complicated as the first or second. It did have its' "But why didn't he just do that?" moments.

Such a fun episode to watch!

I wouldn't have minded having the story go on for two episodes, considering I found Discord's quick change of heart a little...quick.

Nonetheless, the jokes and Discord's awesome personality is what kept me liking this episode.

Also, I have a feeling this episode will change of a lot of concepts all us bronies had about Discord, and that he's not an evil guy. Maybe it's just his nature to be chaotic and he really couldn't help himself from indulging in the fun.

The most thing I was happy about was the return of Fluttershy's stronger side, and the idea that Discord wasn't turned back to stone...and that meaning we might see him again in another episode.

So much win! I gotta purchase that film ASAP.

Hey, Canterlot!

I just came back from watching Les Misérables with my brothers, and I have to admit I almost, almost shed a tear...four times.

But didn't because teenagers were talking behind our seats and it kept disrupting my mood.

Warning: For those who haven't yet watched it, I don't suggest going through this thread since spoilers will be discussed.

It was a brilliant film.

I've never in my life sat through a musical, or a musical film, in this case. At first I was taken aback, because I thought the singing would end and they'd actually start talking normally, but little did I know the entire movie was going to be sung. But aside from that small bump of confusion, it was a joy just sitting through it all. A worthy film to experience in cinema, for sure.

Javert's my favorite character, I'd say. Any scene that had Russell Crowe in it had my full attention. His performance was great.

So, what did you guys think? A film to remember? Oscar worthy? Not into musicals? Were the previous versions better?

If not, would you like to see more films done in this style?
