  1. This sounds really interesting to say the least! would their be time restraints on when you could sign up? Because while I would like to do it as soon as possible, I'd just want to see a solid system be set up before I jump headfirst into this. No offense, the system DOES seem good, I'm just a cautious person ^^;

    oops.

Basically just drop in whenever. There are no time restraints; as more applicants, there are more matches to be made, and hence more applicants get matched up! Usually I try not to have more than one blind date per character going, though, but I do try to keep track, so that when a date is over, I can set up another match.

    this is basically ongoing.

  2. As we currently have only one staff member that approves the applications (Skye), and he has decided that he will only approve applications on the weekend, you will have to wait until this weekend for your character to get approved - hopefully.

  3. Given that there is already magic in equestria, the idea of using plasmids seems kind of superflous, and given usual pony paranoia, I don't think they'd be all too quick to inject alien substances into their veins. Not to mention the fact that bio-modifiers of any variety usually only work on -one- species, so chances are that any sci-fi fan would realize this wouldn't work.

Furthermore, unless you wanted to get reaaaaalllly contreived and-or disgusting, there'd be no way of creating additional adam, so the fad would pretty much end before it got anywhere. And, again, there are unicorns, so it's not like the effects imbued upon a human being by the FEV - sorry, I mean plasmids - would be all hugely impressive, or even necessarily that useful. Heck, even half of the in-game plasmids were pretty much useless for everyday utility. Summon bees out of your arms? Set fires with your mind instead of with a match? Make a specifically-modified person really grouchy at something? Not really all that useful outside of the utilities in "you want to do bad things to other people".

Either way, sounds like something that'd be really difficult to make good on.

  4. Books were probably out; even if Twilight had suggested the idea, popular consensus seemed to be unanymously against her. Er, that was, everypony thought it wasn't a great idea so it probably wasn't. But now, he had just about everypony except Applejack giving him suggestions! That was.... well, both good and bad. It was definitely great that everypony else cared enough to lend a hoof, but on the other hand, Spike had a nagging suspicion that getting all four of his friends to agree on any single thing might be a tad difficult.

But it wasn't all bad! At least there were a lot of decent ideas being thrown about!

"Oh I know, you could get her a big old bouquet and have it sent to her!"

"You need to get her something different and rad! like a WonderBolts costume!"

"We should shop around until you find something that's just right!"

"Wow, uh... Flowers are definitely a good extra, but maybe we should stay away from fashion. I mean, we'd have to go all the way to Canterlot to get something impressive enough, and even then there's no real telling if it'd even fit!"

And, with that, Spike took a deep breath, tightened the straps of his backpack, and tried to energize himself with some of the fairly ample amount of confidence floating in the air. Rainbow Dash's enthusiasm was definitely invigorating, and Twilight's support always had a way of making obstacles seem that much easier to overcome. Pinkie-Pie was great for keeping a smile on everyone's face - usually, at least.

"But hey, we're not going to get anything just hangin' around here! To Ponyville market!"

So, brimming with confidence and ideas, Spike decided to at least try and lead the way.

  5. Don't keep posting in your own thread, bro. The RP staff actually checks the threads tagged 'final' at the end of the list of applications first, so that the oldest ones get attention first. Most applications get assessed within about three to seven days, and after that they get approved in an additional two to five days.

  6. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but we already have an Inkblot (Belongs to SirShadowDeath).

Unfortunately, that means you're going to have to give this character a namechange.

EDIT (to avoid bumping this thread higher up on the list - RP staff usually checks the Final-tagged stuff that's at the end of the list of threads first) :

Newsworthy is n excellent name, good choice!

  7. Um, seeing as we don't have an 18+ crossover section, nor an 18+ fanfiction section... This might not work out so well, at least as far as being able to post it on the site goes.

That aside, there's not that much 'content' in the South Park universe, per se. The show is largely used to deliver jokes, and nothing really stands out about the setting that you couldn't use a more PG-centric setting for.

  8. IRC, Darkmyst.net, June of 2002, channel (now gone) called #JnV.

For a 12-year-old, I have no idea how I was. Looking back on the logs though, I'm amazed people put up with me back then. But, I learned to be less hyper and less ridiculous pretty quick, thankfully.

Joined in briefly on various forums, like Green Dragon and some random Lord of the Rings RP Forum. Barely remember that, but hey, still remember it vaguely.

After that, joined all sorts of channels across darkmyst, sorcery and esper. Started a few channels, helped run a couple other communities, still helping one of my favourites. But, felt like exploring Equestria a bit, simply because the 'feel' of the show was definitely there, and the consistancy of season one offered both stability and plenty of room for ideas.

But yeah, done a lot of things since I started, probably will continue doing bunches of things for the time to come!

  9. I HAVE...

    I have a question.

Actually I guess it is more of a request but it can also be a question too.

Can you draw, perhaps, Princess Luna as a superhero? That would be greatsuper. Supergreatawesome. Bonus points if she's, like, busting through a wall or something, all kool-aid-man style.

That would be a cool thing.

If you say 'no' that is also okay.

  10. "Dear Miss Matchie,

I do thank you for your prompt reply. I am very much looking forward to meeting this Miss Pathfinder. My main concerns are the time and location. I have a very strict schedule to maintain, and as it is, I have a meeting I can't miss here in Stalliongrad early Friday morning. Even by my speediest airship, it might be an ordeal to get to the location by 2:30. Perhaps something later in the evening might be possible? Additionally, I am not sure what location it is you intend. You wrote to me Breakbeak Gulch; did you intend Bareback Gulch, or perhaps Beakbreak City? I'd hate to arrive in the wrong town. I'd appreciate clarification.

Thank you again for your time and services.

    Yours truly,

    Snowfall"

Mail back! Mail...back, oh dear had she messed up? She dug into the letter, opening it up a bit nervously. Oh, drat, it was the match she had the least certianty in. A quick read-through, and Matchie nearly chipped her desk with her horn for hitting her forehead against it. She'd been so busy getting wrapped up in actually making the match and being nervous about the date itself that she'd made a few errors - bone-headed errors at that. Oh dear oh dear oh dear, at least she had a letter-recall spell. A few quick edits on Pathfinder's letter, she might not be the wiser, and a revised copy went back to Snowfall.

    "Hi again Snowfall!

Apologies, and thank you for your quick reply! I did, in fact, mean bareback gulch - hope it isn't too remote! - and fair enough, I've changed your reservations to saturday, same time and location. Not that I know much about flying, but it strikes me an obstacle course might get a bit dangerous if one were to try and fly through it too late in the evening.

    Your patronage is incredibly appreciated!

    - Matchie"

  11. Name : Snowfall

    Gender : mare

    Gender preference : either

    Location : Stalliongrad

Age : in my prime years

    Species : pegasus

    Species preference : I don't really care

    Cutie-Mark : a cityscape snow globe

    Name : Pathfinder

    Gender : Female

Gender preference : Whatever, not important

Location : Everywhere- I travel all the time, though I do have a 'home' in Cloudsdale.

    Age : Young Mare

    Species : Pegasus

Species preference (Optional) : Whatever, not important

    Cutie-Mark (Optional) : Rope around a globe

Now THIS one had matchie chewing a little on her lip. It was kind of a toss-up between the rocker and the CEO that wanted more spice in her life for the adventurous mare. It -could- work, or it could end badly... Tell the CEO to be ready for a wild ride, tell the adventuremare to go a little easy on her, and it could be wildfire of a match! She'd really have to meet them both before she could make a clear guess... so it was eightball time!

"So, eightball... Lovely little eightball! Should I give this match a try?"

    Could be worse!

CLOSE ENOUGH! So, two tenacious letters, and Matchie figured she was done with the applications she'd got thus far.

    The first, to Snowfall :

    "Dear Snowfall :

Congratulations! Thanks to the very complete application you've sent in, we've found you a match that should prove interesting! Her name is Pathfinder, a real adventurer of a pegasus! For your date, something a little more rough and tumble seems suitable; we've chosen the Gryphon obstacle course at Breakbeak Gulch, which should, if nothing else, at least be a fun workout! I hope next friday at 2:30 PM fits in your schedule! Please write me back if you have any misgivings or problems with getting there at that time!

    Have a wonderful day!

    -Matchie"

Whew, ok, next letter, to Pathfinder.

"Hi Pathfinder! Hope this letter finds you in decent health, because we've found a match for you! Her name is Snowfall; a businesspegasus who wants excitement in her life, rather than be pampered. I know, it might be a bit of a stretch, but I think there's serious potential here! I've got reservations for you two at the Gryphon obstacle course over at Bareback Gulch for 2:30 PM on next Friday Saturday. Please write back if that doesn't work for you!

    Happy adventuring!

    -Matchie"

But, now, it was getting a bit late... A bit of magic, and the letters were off! Oh, this was a fun day...

  12. Name : Mirage Riddle.

    Gender : Stallion

Gender preference (Optional) : Mare, if you please

Location : Oh, here, and there. Anywhere that's interesting, really.

    Age : Young Stallion

    Species : Unicorn

Species preference (Optional) : Oh come now, is this really important?

Cutie-Mark (Optional) : Three question marks

Name : Mid Wobble, but call me Midsy

    Gender : Mare

Gender preference (Optional) : Um... either or.

    Location : Fillydelphia! Woohoo!

    Age : Young Mare

    Species : Unicorn

Species preference (Optional) : Don't care! As long as they aren't grumpy.

Cutie-Mark (Optional) : Synth Track! I'm a music pony, so it makes sense, right?

Another match! Whee, this was fun! These two didn't seem to have too much in common, apart from energy and a bit of quirk, but that could work out between them, probably! Another two letters sent out - it was a good evening! Now, where to put them... Not the theatre, but a fair sounded about right!

    Two more letters!

    The first, to Midsy :

"Congratulations! We've found you a match based on the information you've sent us! Your match is a wandering unicorn stallion called Mirage Riddle, and I think you two could have a fun time of it! Next tuesday's Fillydelphia county fair, at about noon should be a great place for you two to meet up! Maybe dress up a bit, however you like! Please write back quickly if you can't make it, hope you two have a fun time!

    Sincerely - Matchie!"

    The second, to Mirage Riddle.

"Well, we've found a match based on your application! Your match is a young unicorn mare by the name of Mid Wobble, or Midsy for short, and I think you two should have a fun time! You'll be meeting her at the Fillydelphia County Fair, at noon. Dress how you like, but try to dress up a little! Just make ultra-sure to write back if you can't make it!

    Best of luck! Matchie"

This was getting pretty fun! Now, to sort through the rest of the applications...

  13. Name: Inkblot

    Gender: Stallion

    Location: Canterlot

    Age: Stallion

    Species: Pegasus

    Cutie Mark: Inkwell and Quill

    Name : Storm Feather

    Gender : Female

A pair! A pair that just might work, a pair! Oh, Excitement and jubilations - a hippogryph and a pegasus. Time to see how that might work out! Well, not personally, but it was letter-writing time and Mathie couldn't contain the grin on her face. A pair of letters, written, and sent to Canterlot and Cloudsdale.

    To Inkblot

"Congratulations! We've found you a match based on the information you've sent us! Your match is a female Hippogryph by the name of Storm Feather, and from the looks of things, you two have a fair bit in common! You two will be meeting you at the Royal Canterlot Gardens North Entrance at four o'clock this Friday, and I'd suggest a calm, friendly attitude, and probably semi-casual attire! Your choice on that, of course. Please write me back if you cannot make this time!

    Have a wonderful day!

    -Matchie"

    To Storm Wing.

"Congratulations! We've found you a match based on the information you've sent us! Your match is a Pegasus Stallion by the name of Inkblot, and to tell the truth, I think you two could hit it off pretty well! You two will be meeting you at the Royal Canterlot Gardens North Entrance at four o'clock this Friday, and I'd suggest an open mind and just trying to have fun! Let me know if that doesn't work out for you, prefferably before friday. Don't worry! It should be fun!

    Sincerely, Matchie!"

How would you describe yourself, physically?

My mom is I amreally pretty. ShI have long yellow mane and a dark green coat. ___

This gets a reply! Two, in fact! One's a blank application, as well as a note reading "Somepony thinks you should get into the dating scene! Why not give it a try?" for Midnight Brand.

    The second is for Hopesing, and reads as follows;

    "Dear Hopesong :

Thank you very much for taking the time to fill out an application, and I really admire you trying to do your best to make your mom happy, but I'm afraid she has to fill out her application on her own, especially since I'd need to get her to agree to a time and place for a blind date! What you tried to do is very sweet, and I'm very sorry to say that I can't accept the application.

Don't worry! I sent your mom a note and an application for her to fill out. Have a nice day, okay!

    Sincerely - Matchie"

  15. Two clefs taken, two clefs remain. Also, the double-sharp and natural note modifier symbols, and most of the time signatures. Oh, and probably the stacatto symbols, as well as the breve, semibreve, the hemidemisemiquaver, the caesura, the sesquiflat, the glissando, the marcato, the coda, and the fermata.

...That's a heck of a lot of symbols left, really. Wow. I think I may have spent too much time in music classes.
