  1. Where did Lily develop her hobby of modeling, I wonder? After all, she likes getting dirty in a garden. She doesn't seem like the type to like frilly stuff. Perhaps that comes from the high hopes of her parents, or growing up in high society? Though she likes to garden, maybe a bit of the high life rubbed off on her.

And what of her school days? Did she have any friends? Did she go to a high class school? How did she interact with her peers?

Everything in the Application checks out, Lily Petal could just use some fleshing out. :)

Yes ir, I just quickly wipped this up for the fashion thing. I knew someone would point me in the right direction :P

  2. Name: Lily Petal (Lily)

    Sex: Female

    Age: Mare

    Species: Earth Pony

    Pelt: White (hint of pink)

Mane/Tail/Colorings: Orange and red braided mane

    Eye Color: Orange

    Cutie Mark: Purple Lily

    Physique: Good figure

    Origin: High Society in Canterlot

    Roleplay Type: Mane RP

Occupation: Florist, also dabbles in modeling

Motivation: Run her wealthy garden and flower shop

History/Story: Lily was born into a wealthy, divine family in the Equestrian capital of Canterlot. Her parents where wealthy Unicorns and wanted her, no matter how much they disliked the fact she was an Earth pony(Lily's great grandma was one), they tried to get her to continue the family business and marry high. However, she didn’t like her parents’ big business style. Lily was more of a down to earth kind of pony, considering she was an EARTH pony. Ponies at school often accepted her, even though she was bit less prestene than them. She never rwally hung out with many of her fellow classmates back home. She would draw, do puzzles, and just small things to pass the time until the day she got her cutie mark. She discovered her cutie mark after school one day when they learned about plants. She was so excited she went home that she started a garden and was filled with success, her favorite being her lilies. She left school to take her own business of being a florist. But, her parents where disgraced at the idea. They didn’t help her much when she tried to start her business. Though slowly and surely, ponies in Canterlot started to respect and enjoy her merchandise. She became a respect business pony and her flowers are used in many pieces of clothing and art. And even though she liked the rough and tumble small life of gardening, she became intrigued in the study of modeling. She joined up for many small reasons, parental affection, showing off, looking beautiful, and just the atmosphere of high society

Personality: Lily is a kind pony, and a shrewd merchandiser. She is not afraid to get dirty in her garden. However, he compliments can sometimes be taken badly. FE-“Oh, you’re the nicest old mare I know.” She also knows how to model different dresses very well. Always has her hair in a braid.

Likes: Flowers, small shops, dresses, apples, braids

    Dislikes: Hay, Rabbits

  3. You've got a section repeating here ;-)

Anyways, seems like a good start..... I like the treasure hunter aspect. Very nice. I'm not really big on the -loves fire- part, but since Hippocamps do love shiny things it's alright. Just don't make it go overboard with her personality, like she becomes an arsonist or something XD

Being a bit envious of the land ponies is alright too, but don't forget, not everything corrodes underwater. Okeanos is made of stone and marble. Those don't corrode very quickly, specially if they are maintained properly.

Also, please elaborate on her personality. Is she outgoing? Is she shy? Is she rash, or careful? How did she become the way she is?

And for her history, you kind of left things open. Will she continue to become a treasure hunter, or will she just give up her dreams and live on the farm? I assume it's a fish farm. Don't forget - while hippocamps can farm fish, they don't eat them.

Yes, fire isn't her biggest aspect. It was just something I thought of of her being envious of earth ponies and then I'm like 'fire's so pretty' xD But yeh now that u mention the corroding thing XD It was just a thought at the time I feel like of tossing it now

Most of her history is left blank but everything will be filled in in due time, young padawan ;-)

  4. Powdered was galloping to the door. She was already late for the first flight camp meet up. Her mother had been telling to grab things she knew she wouldn't need here. Atleast for the first meeting, anyway. She raced across the white cloud she was on, sending up white little puffs as her hooves hit the platform. She opened the door and found herself interrupting something. "Sorry I'm late!" she said and gave a big smile, feeling a little awkward.

  5. Added backstory

    1/7 - added a whee more

1/9 - most likely going to redo much of her personality that I had written at word (I take a flash drive with my WIP ponies everywhere in case I get a spark during class or sumthin

  6. Roleplay Type: Mane RP

    Name: Pearl Heart (Pearl)

    Sex: Female

    Age: Mare

    Species: Hippocamp

    Eye Color: Open Ocean Blue

    Coat Color: Sand Tan

Mane/Tail/Markings: 2 braids, apple red mane, freckles, slight southernish accent (more mild than AJ)

    Physique: Standard

    Cutie Mark: Treasure Chest

Origin/Residence: Okeanos. She currently travels around wherever work takes her.

    Occupation: Treasure Hunter

Motivation: Finding artifacts and giving them to museums

Likes: Small, contained fire, shiny things

    Dislikes: Boring stuff

    Character Summary-

Pearl Heart was born into a farming family in Okeanos. She didn't very well like the farming community and wished to do something exciting. Pearl spent most of her time in the museam, looking at the shiny artifacts. The only thing more interesting than that was the stories of how the treasures got there. Endless tales of prospectors and hunters lurked in her mind. That was what she wanted to do. Pearl was searching and was able to stumble upon an old merchant ship. She brought a bag and began to load treasures and shiny tings into it, feeling that she had a mission to bring it back to the museam. As she was leaving, another hippocamp appeared before her, blabbing about navy stuff and what not. He kept fixing his glasses and started talking about stuff she didn't really care about. It was odd, yet beautiful to her. Finally, they exchanged their names and the hippocamp called Seven Seas mentioned the cutie mark of a treasure chest on her flank that had just appeared. Pearl still continues to travel with her lover, Seven Seas(or Q because whenever she has a question, she'd say "Seven Seas, I have a Q" and eventually shortened it) in search of treasure and other adventures.

Pearl has an intense love for shiny things, Whenever her and Q find something, she usually just stares at in and squees while _ just blabbers on. She is adventurous and outhoing. Sometimes a little arrogant and outspoken, but always confident.

  7. Colturnius took a sip of his warm cider and began to resume speaking. "In the orchestra?" He glanced over at his violin case. "Oh, that. How silly, I'm not in the orchestra. I carry my violin around with me: play it as a travel and earn some bits. So, what is it you study?" He looked down and raised a cookie to his mouth. He saw most of the ponies had left the room for some other area. This began to concern Colturnius. It reminded him of the last time he'd been alone in a room. He wasn't supposed the be there and got reprimanded.

  8. (OOC: I think we've run out of cloaks for blue team xD)

"Hey, Whirlwind!" Powdered Snow replied to her friend from Nightmare Night. It had been months since they've talked to eachother. Powdered had planned to write but never got the chance to. "That griffon over there looks pretty mean." She leaned in close to Whirl. "I think that's why there's noone on her team."

  9. "Oh, I'm sorry to hear none of your friends showed up." Colturnius replied. He sat down on one of the chairs and sat his plate on a nearby table. "Pleasant to meet you. I am Colturnius. I have been traveling from Roam and came upon your marvelous city conveniently during Hearth Warming Eve and the rest of the winter activities. I decided to stay here through the cold months and see what the Equestria capital is all about. So far, you're city is marvelous and fascinating, although the crisp cool air isn't good for my violin. I guess there are more important things than business at times. I'm sorry for rambling on like that." Colturnius chuckled. He hadn't had an 'actual' conversation with anypony since probably Hoofington. He waited to see how Insight reacted to his attitude.

  10. Powdered Snow stared with awh at the snow constructed forts. She considered if they were safe to stand on and defend. Well, unicorns can do anything she thought to herself. This was her first Hearth Warming Eve in Canterlot, and from the looks of it she didn't know anyone here. She even lacked an understanding of battle strategy. One of the teams' leader was a griffin for crying out loud. That bird thing would surely win she thought. Then again, she did look like she lacked any sympathy for a small filly like herself. Powdered trotted over to the blue team leader and said, "Hello. I'm Powdered Snow. Can I join your side?"

  11. Colturnius exited the main performing room a bit after the massive mob scene that usually takes place at such events. He had admired the props and the actors' articulation and performance; however, he had little understanding of the original play it was based on. He overheard a few ponies grumbling about inaccuracy in the play but he couldn't understand the actual argument over the noise. The banquet was more like a buffet he thought. A line of large tables, plates on the end, and ponies sitting around tables and chairs in small groups.

Colturnius went into the long line. The line took an exceedingly short time ot go through, though. Viator left the line with a plate of apple tarts and an assortment of grass snacks and looked across the gathering room for someplace to sit and whom to strike up a conversation with. He spied a white pony wearing blue glasses with a cutie mark of a book sitting alone. Colturnius trotted over and walked up to the pony. "Hello? May I sit with you?"

  12. I love the history/archaeology character. the one thing i really wanna get on ur hoof on is your cutie mark. It's a theater symbol and yet she digs for ancient relics. I do like the idea of the Greek Ionic pillar and that is really associate with antique archaeology. Perhaps a patterned pot or something if that doesnt suite you (im willing to discuss this in a chat or messaging if u want).

  13. Name: Colturnius Viator

    Sex: Male

    Age: Stallion

    Species: Unicorn

    Pelt: Tan

Mane/Tail/Colorings: Brown, mane is tied in a ponytail, wears a straw hat

    Eye Color: Green

    Cutie Mark: Fiddle

Physique: Small and scrawny due to his early urchin lifestyle

Origin: Raised as a street urchin in Roam

    Roleplay Type: Mane RP

    Occupation: Traveling Fiddle Player

Motivation: To see the world, entertain the lower masses. To find his parents.

Likes: Roses, Mares, Music, Architecture and other sites, small gatherings

    Dislikes: Waiting, the upper class

Summary: The bustling city of Roam had its streets filled with the various species that occupied the Equestria state. Earth ponies, unicorns, and Pegasus bought and sold their wares in the marketplace, built on the ruins of the old forum that stood proudly when this city and its people ruled most of the known world. A child street urchin sat in the shadows of a tall apartment building. There were, virtually, no alleys for him to hide in. The city was built on a grid system, well ever since Celestia came to power, defeated the empire, and put Roam under its vassalage.

As did most urchins in the city, he huddle at the foot of a building near the marketplace (or the city gates) to try and pick a spare coin, some playing music or doing other talents or selling almost worthless products to people who felt bad enough to spend a bit for their next meal. The small, homeless huddle was overshadowed however by the grandeur of the rebuilt forum. Colturnius enjoyed the site of the wondrous market. He watched the banners of Roam flying high off the buildings, the spectacularly designed stands with their gilded tapestries, and the smell of the various food stocks being cooked or jarred for long travel. Colturnius wished he could’ve been alive during these glory days of the empire he heard talked about.

Viator, no matter what he believed as a foal, still was stuck on the streets; his family suddenly packed their things and left the city in the middle of still night while he was sleeping. He didn’t remember much of his old home, nor his family. All he could remember is waking up that spring morning, hearing the birds chirping, and finding the house and most of its stocks empty. The city officials then came and foreclosed the house. The orphanage was just shut down since Celestia was finding homes for all the lost fillies. But the magistrates ignored this and ignored Colturnius’s needs. Viator was forced to be a unicorn on the streets, not knowing how to use his horn, read, and most importantly, find his talent and his cutie mark. This led him to resent the higher class and take pride in his wandering style.

The problem for when he was a foal was, how would he eat, bathe, and all the other ideals that were acquired and considered necessary through civilization? Colturnius adopted, what could be called a Robin Hood style. Stole from the rich and gave to the poor, if the poor were considered mostly him. Through his urchin way of life, he adopted the idea of trying to take what he needed for himself to survive, and protect it at all costs. If he came in to a little bit of extra money, he would hand it over to some other starving or smelling body. However, this act a criminality couldn’t last him forever.

His schooling wasn’t what everypony was used to. He picked up current events from the traders, no new nuance there. Math he picked up from coin vendors and the few philosophers and mathematicians that roamed there. Something that had always been a wondrous mystery to him was the outside world. He had heard tales of a sky kingdom in the heavens, producing Equestria’s weather, and a fantastical mystical castle that stood as the landmark of all pony civilization. Viator wanted to see all these sites for himself. But how would he get there? Would he just die of starvation 10 miles outside the city? He was a foal and couldn’t see the world, not until he got some money and experience.

His missing parents were something he kept mulling over in his mind from day to day. He planned someday to find him, but his current predicaments were holding him back. First off, he was a filly and that was only apt to change in time. However, he had no money and no way to earn it. Even a little talent, perhaps a hint to his cutie mark, was apt to find him some work or at least get money off the streets. It came to him one summer afternoon. The sun was blazing and Viator tried to find what shade he could near the amphitheatre and listen in on what he could of the music inside. He enjoyed the sounds and melodies created by the instruments. He wished he had a chance to play, but they were expensive and thus buying one was rendered mute. Still, it was somewhat of a passion for him to play something. Who knows, maybe it could become his cutie mark.

He sat outside, parched and watching the colored banners fly, thinking about how to earn some loose change. Unicorn magic had also been somewhat of an idea to me, perhaps a money making scheme. Viator didn’t understand how unicorns use their magic or what they used it for. He mostly just watched the unicorns in Roam use their magic to lift and carry things or handle objects more gently for artwork or creating things. A few were just talented at magic and put on shows. Viator assumed that unicorns could do all of this things at least decently. However, he soon found himself struggling to produce any magic say for lifting an empty box a foot off the ground. He muttered a few words to himself, “I’m never going to get out of here.”

One day, an elder pony(a gray mare) noticed his presence and took him in. Her desire was somewhat unexplainable to him but she took him off the streets. Colturnius, at first, still behaved as the little rapscallion he was on the streets but soon found his new mentor's love unwavering. She tought him the basics of finance, travel, history, math, and other things left mostly untaught as his days as in urchin, even in such a short time before he left. He found out the old mare's nephew ran one of the music shops and spent his last foal years there, learning what he could but only playing instruments by hand. It wasn't until he was doing one of his semi-daily magical practices in the shop and watched as a violin came floating over did he realize what he wanted to play.

When he reached full colthood, he decided to take up the ponysona of a traveling player, playing at small gatherings or just in the streets for a few bits to keep him going. However, his ‘début’ on the streets earned him plenty of money, so much he didn’t know what to do with it all. He decided what he did during his rascal days as a foal before he was taken in and give it to his new mother for all she did(even if it was during his mid-late foal years) and the street walkers. Soon after, he left Roam. His adopted mother gave him his straw hat he currently wears at the gates. Viator set out across the world, seeing wonderful and breathtaking sites. He has been called somewhat of a mysterious charmer by the marefolk. They find him likeable and alluring. Viator is also on a subquest to find his real parents, wherever they may be.

    Currently Traveling in: Greater Equestria
