They're doing it again. That thing where they release episodes in character clusters. We had 'Sisterhooves Social', 'Sweet and Elite' and 'Secret of my Excess', all Rarity-centric, in quick succession, and of course there was the 'May the Best Pet Win' and 'Mysterious Mare-Do-Well' couple for Dash, one right after another. Now, with 'Family Appreciation Day', 'The Last Roundup' and this one, it looks like it's Applejack's turn.
They need a new scheduling guy. These episodes would run much smoother, I think, if the character themed ones were spaced out.

It's a worry that's passed over my mind too, so it's at least nice to hear somepony else thinking the same thing. I have to go with the excellent points of
Sadly nothing is eternal, at least as far as merchandising and toys go. The feelings and community that were inspired by this show? A different story entirely. I for one doubt that havens such as this site and others like Equestria Daily would shut down simply because Hasbro stopped putting out new episodes. This fandom has taken on a life of its own, and the only things needed to keep it alive are the fans, the teachings the show provides, and the limitless creativity that our community has.
Once you take something into your heart, it never truly dies.

I really could care less if some people stop liking the show and premise. I still really enjoy it, and that's all that matters to me. And if there are others that continue to love it with me, then that's a bonus. I'm not about to gauge the status of the fandom and let it decide my involvement.
if I think of it that way, it really doesn't worry me at all. Hasbro can finally realise how to cash in on the show, and in turn end up putting out further seasons, or they could let it wither and die, but we'll always have what's already been created, and what is being created as we speak, and we can all appreciate and love that for as long as we feel we need or want to.

Derpy Hooves is a wondrous thing.
But I hope her appearances don't start getting more and more obvious like in 'Hearth's Warming Eve'. I like to play spot-the-Derpy, and that's hardly difficult when she jumps out at us like that. She needs to play the game right.
Of course, her slightly more obvious appearance in 'Luna Eclipsed' was an exception. Man, that was funny.

Who doesn't love staring at stars?
And if we're going to finally meet some aliens, I can't think of a better bunch to start with than Equestria's lot

I believe it means one of two things.
Your need for ponies is so strong that you subconsciously drift back to pony videos no matter what you do...
Or ponies are taking over the internet, and it's impossible to click a link without being poni'd.
I like the second one

I love Cutie Mark Chronicles, because I like the whole connected-before-meeting story, and it was cool to see all of the mane characters as fillies - added some depth. That episode also had a LOT packed into it, if you consider it had the CMC parts, each of the mane six's CM stories, a song from Fluttershy, and the conclusion explaining how it was all linked. THEN the letter to Princess Celestia. Packed.
I also loved Sonic Rainboom, of course, Best Night Ever, and Boast Busters, because Twilight takes a serious level in badass in that one.

You know something weird about the intro to season 2? You've got Big Macintosh and Granny Smith, right? And they pass by each other on the street, but they totally blank each other.
They're not just walking together, because Big Macintosh kind of walks faster and goes in front of her.
It's one thing not to hold a conversation when they're both busy, but if I saw my grandmother on the street, I think I'd at least acknowledge her.
I have spent much time pondering this, and the only conclusion I can come to is that Big Macintosh, walking in front, didn't see Granny Smith, and Granny Smith, being either short-sighted or senile, doesn't notice Big Macintosh walking in front of her.
OF COURSE IT'S IMPORTANT!
WHO SAID THAT?!

I watch the opening theme every time, but usually stop the video when the episode's over, not too far into the closing credits.
-
You have no idea.
I am so effin' pumped. I've been watching and rewatching all of CN's batman movies, playing Arkham City and Asylum back and forth nonstop, rereading batman comics.
So. Incredibly. Amazingly. Pumped.
There's a while to go yet before summer of 2012, maybe you should pace yourself
That said, I'm also really looking forward to it. It's been a while since we've seen a consistent trilogy of films that are all great quality, and if any franchise deserves it, it's Batman.

Twilight is now in the lead. You're welcome, Miss Sparkle

It was one thing refusing to remove it, but that message they left was just stupid. They've taken the opportunity to represent our entire fandom in a bad light. All we can do now is hope that Hasbro and the Pony Team don't assume that we're all that idiotic and don't hold it against us.
It's false-copyrighting trolls, the kind that took down DJ Alex S' Youtube channel yesterday, that worry me more than Hasbro and copyright laws themselves.

This'll probably be where that leaked song comes in.
Can't wait to see this one

As much a big Star Wars fan as I am, I'm going to continue holding out for Guild Wars 2. I've checked out what both of them are planning on offering, and to be honest TOR looks like it's going to be crushed when GW2 hits the stores. Eventually.
It's cool, I'll wait.
And go on waiting...
And on....

What a really nice story. I've heard a bunch about the effect MLP has had on people's lives, but this might be one of my favourites.
Gosh, feeling all toasty and warm inside now
-
Is it just me, or is Hasbro sendiing very mixed messages?
First they acknoledge Bronies
Next they attack Pony Archive
Then they hire somone specifically to handle "MLP in Pop Culture"
Now they're taking our Scootaloo (If this is the one I'm thinking of (where I want to say it was Mando started singing Jingle bells normally, then Scoot takes over and turns it into a rock ballad), I'm really P.O.d too, it was adorable!)
Like I said... Anyone else seeing mixed messages here?
That's the right video, yeah.
I'm not sure what to think anymore. I guess it doesn't matter, all we can do is hope that, if there are conflicting views within the company, the good guys win and things go back to normal.
If that's not the case... well, I'm sure we'll find out about it pretty soon.

Tell me this is a joke!
Sorry, I wish it were

I found this on Everfree Radio:
'Hey everyone, Socksy here with a bit of news for you all. Specifically, a reason as to why Michelle Creber’s Christmas video was taken down. We have received the following e-mail from the Crebers:
'Hey everyone,
We just wanted to let you know that we were requested to take Michelle's
Christmas video down until approved by Hasbro. So sorry for any
disappointment or confusion. In the meantime, thanks for all the nice
comments and if we do get the green light, we will certainly put it back up.
Best of the season, The Crebers''
It was also on EqD

Technically all of us. Remember what this forum is dedicated to?
As for me, I still love Legos and old Disney movies. Treasure Planet and Oliver and Company still entertain me to this day.
Treasure Planet was so awesome.
Actually, I weirdly seem to enjoy animated 'kids' movies a lot more now than I did when I was younger. I liked them when I was younger, but now I kind of appreciate them more, I suppose.
-
It's pretty cool, but I hope they don't take it too far. It's like making Big Machintosh say nothing except 'Eeyup'. Kind of takes the joke too far, no?
-
About Michelle Creber having to take down the awesome video that had Scootaloo's performance of 'Jingle Bells'. I'm not scare-mongering, but is this the latest case of Hasbro taking away our ponies? I mean, I can understand wanting to take down PonyArchive, but what's the harm in letting an innocent bit of festive cheer like that go unmolested? Do you think it's a retaliation of some sort after the admins refused to shut down PonyArchive?

Well you gotta remember, the ting about evil siblings is they have to be dealt with. It's almost impossible to make them 'not evil' so they have to be killed, put in jail, shot into outer space, etc. There really isnt a clean way the mane 6 can handle it (which is a little disappointing, I love "evil twin" episodes, even more so when "cant get in trouble for nuthin'" is invoked!)
Not if they were 'evil' in the sense that Gilda the Griffon was 'evil'. Taking 'evil' here to just mean 'really, really mean' she could literally make a huffy exit at the end of the episode and never be seen again, just like Gilda.
And to those pointing out the unreliability of the source - I know. I said so myself. Like I said, I just noticed it and thought I'd bring it up.
-
There's a synopsis here, but it's only from Wikipedia and the source is that site selling the DVD, which doesn't seem to have an episode synopsis, so the reliability is doubtful, but I thought I'd throw it in there.
It reads 'applejack tries to save ponyville when her evil sister comes to town'.

Unusual, for a birthday!

Perhaps I'm a bit of a head-case in this area.
When it comes to real life, I am an atheist, and believe that everything that occurs can be explained in some measure of logic, one way or another. Cause and effect and all that. I believe life, at least on Earth, has no particular point or end goal.
All that said, this isn't the way I want to look at life. That's why I spend the majority of the hours of my days in a daydream state, immersed in worlds of fiction where impossible and unlikely things do occur, and with great regularity. These fictional worlds are the places I was meant to be born into - places where genres define the rules of reality, characters are properly developed and shaped, and there is a fairly large chance that some kind of overarching deity does exist. If not that, then karma at least plays a massive role. Good always triumphs over evil. The Power of Love is scientific fact.
So, to summarise, although I see the world as a bleak and logical place, that's exactly why I avoid it. In the words of Owl City, 'The Real World is a lovely place, but I wouldn't want to live there'.
