  1. Well it is kind of strange the Windows name has stayed around for this long anyway, after all the name Windows is short for Windowed DOS.

And Windows has not used DOS as a basis for ages, not since Windows ME.

The Windows NT os is the basis for more modern windows OS, the NT operating systems, Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7 and yes even 8.

DOS stands for Disk Operating System So, as long the computers use disks, all OSes would be technically a sort of DOS. (As long they find a use for "Sys Rq" key I'l be happy ) By the way that means "System Request" or basically, like the WinKey, back in 1981...

  2. Recently found of Eadweard Muybridge's Gallopìng "The horse in motion" photo sequence dating of 1876, for kicks made a version with a colt Big Mac:

    animation.gif

I wanted to do this for a good time, but the lack of a good source picture hindered me (on many frames of the Internet found versions, contrast is too low to distinguish left and right forehooves, my source of a decent pictures was an old book.

The original 12 frame sequence is here reduced to 10 frames due the same factor that made me work with a Colt, an adult Big Mac, or even a Mane character is too buffed to some of the frames and because the 1876 picture was of a slender legged horse and not a pony, legs got a too limited movement radius. (well just now I realize I could had used Celestia or Luna...) This is still the most realistic animation around (until I make a Celestia one with perphars some Neck/body bob motion)

  3. Pffft.... I have Xbox and a Sega MegaDrive 2 next to that! (not sure anyone noticed)...2nd shot, dominos pizza. I NEVER need to get up... food brought to me! :D

    ...need to install toilet.

    Counter bragging go!

Right now I got uhhh *looks at right*

TV, VHS deck, Megadrive, PS3, Saturn, PS2, PSX, Dreamcast, MSX computer, a couple of fat ps2 awaiting repair/modding and a NES...

  4. Dunno if this should go to technology or not... The 3ds is a gaming system so...

I could get one second-hand for a pittance of a price (like 100$), that is my price deadline for consoles and any ways the thing is basically new.

The 3d camera is any good? Games deserving consideration? (Minus Sports, and violent/crime simulation titles)

  5. Yeah, look at what happened to Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog comic series. It goes on and on even though the Sonic cartoons they were based off of died off long ago in the early 1990s. :-o

I understand the IDW comic is a 4 issue deal... If it goes on... Welcome it be (Got half a long box with Sonic comics, asking for company)

  6. We're still the nicest fandom I know. But like all the Inter Net fandoms we are prone for a foul backwash. I'd prefer on any day to be in a not perfect Fandom and been able to know all of you guys. Than being the 4th member (out of 4) of the "cliff snail protection guild" (CSPG)

  7. Tried many on the MSX computer, boring is an accurate definition, in Japan they seem to be a thing, (scan some manga drawings, slap some lines of code)...

Another thing, the player is always a guy, dating a female character, and that character is always devoid of any self-respect... And generally, games are carbon-copies of other games of the same company (just the art being changed)

    Perhaps there aren't my thing...

  8. A story about Lotus and Aloe, obviously not cloppy, and shipping would be out of the question... They're sisters... I began working on a story not so along, but due the lack of proofreaders I got it on permahiatus... You could see it for inspiration of what I mean...

  9. When one steals something, it's former owner loses it, so the burglar haves it... On piracy, one got it, copies it, both first, scores later, got it.

Before legally punishing people, world need to decide what is computer piracy, because a mp3, materially is nothing, imposing a material punishment for it, is basically totalitarism...

Piracy is NOT burglary, so they need to stop it fining it as burglary

  10. Oh, sorry...

    ANCHOR:

Nobody of them is a kid, but they self identify as openly fans of "My Little Pony" from some years ago, the characters are a fad in U.S. And them (the bronies) are going nuts for it, they developed a community and even celebrate many conventions yearly. The majority are MEN over 30, and defend that no other series ever reflected as much the values of friendship. (closed caption defines the series as 80's made)

After some fragments of some other station's hijacked scenes (Rainbow Dash quote, hilariously mistranslated as '200%')

    VIDEO:

What encourages them to smile, is this little toy. They say that "My little pony" brings joy to their lifes, encourage being better persons, and makes them value friendship.

The majority (of them) are young men, Collegiate, and men (Sic) They live it with such passion they created a true community. They call themselves bronies, and yearly they organize conventions , last one, on past weekend. Were they go, costumed and ready to exchange stuff related to their Favorited characters "Cheerilee is best pony"

They even got their own Internet TV station airing whatever happen there (in convention) because Bronies are a huge fad, Such fad that they even animate talk shows on U.S T.V (U.S.T.V.?)

For psychologists their love for this 80's series is a reaction to all the violence terrorism and wars, but whatever others say, they do not care.
