  1. Everypony, before we go ON AND ON about Luna and Celestia...remember that it IS just a story.

I'm sure that, if the story was anywhere CLOSE to accurate, that flag would be different. They probably just simply used the Equestrian flag for the fact that it WAS about the founding of Equestria. After all, I've seen stage productions of the forming of the U.S. that have flags that I'm VERY sure are inaccurate... ;-)

  2. ...Well, in conclusion...

    LOVED IT!

The episode real picked itself up as it rolled along. The script improved as it carried, the humor carried, etc. Really seemed to like an episode that snowballed into a wonderful Christmas episode....and that song, while short, did satisfy me a bit and warm the heart...

So, I'll say it was indeed a solid episode. This FiM crew just NEVER misses a bit!

  3. The Mane 6 are surprisingly good actors...xD

Pinkie Pie is a champion, so she doesn't use doors....perhaps meme material? I think so.

Fluttershy's best Scooby Doo impression is a fine one indeed!

    Scary clouds are scary, apparently.

    Whining Rarity, anything new?

HA! Pinkie Pie just hit the rewind button on logic! Wonderful!

    Hoof-rubbing Dash is adorable, frankly.

  4. Certainly sounds good! Would love a new episode about AJ! Her character definitely needs some development.

I'm betting this episode will probably be coming up soon after "Family Appreciation Day". If so, can't wait for a Applejack episode! Took us almost a full season, but it sounds like we'll finally get the long-awaited Applejack episode!

I think this deserves an enthusiastic YEE-HAW!

  5. I gotta agree on taking the episodes down, however.

After all, it IS illegal. I simply watch it on Youtube, so this doesn't affect me, but I can see why Hasbro wants these down. As the last few guys have said before me, this is in fact illegal. Torrents, piracy, etc.

So, while I completely understand, it's an unfortunate loss in the Brony community. I also don't agree on the decision to keep the site up....but hey, to each man his own consequence for his actions.

Unfortunate, but indeed the right call on Hasbro's side...

  6. Truth be told, this doesn't affect me much for the fact that I watch episodes on Youtube (Or, if I can catch them on The Hub every once in a while).

However, this is definitely not good for the Brony community....It isn't a good time for things to come, either. After all, with "HASBRO" taking down episodes on Youtube, and this happening, and with that Protect IP Bill closing in....something bad is just itching to happen...

  7. Yes, it's true.

Very unfortunate, and this may ultimately prove it's Hasbro that's cracking down on the episode removal...

I honestly cannot understand any of this right now, but I'll let you guys discuss for now. All I can add is, very unfortunate, and I have a bad feeling this is a sign for even worse to come regarding Hub-less Bronies...

  8. Was never a big fan of My Little Dashie. Seemed WAY too cliche and played-out unrealistically...then again, this IS Rainbow Dash with a human we're talking about...

However, I can see why there's lovers for it, and the story does have a nice touch to it near the end. Solid fanfiction in my mind. Tear-worthy? Not that I see, but it is a very touching story.

  9. If the show provides good proof of it, and it follows a fairly canon-like logic, I approve of any sort of shipping...except between two members of the Mane 6...

Personally, favorite pairing is Spike and Rarity. I simply believe it's a pairing that follows canon nicely, but can also be quite adorable...

  10. Remember the original target demographic for the show: preteen girls.

I think trying to 'explain' that the Apple siblings are orphans living with Granny might be a little difficult for preteen girls to grasp.

I am reminded of the time in the late 90's that Sesame Street had planned on doing a 'story' about Mr. Snuffleupagus's parents getting a divorce. When they performed this 'skit' in rehearsals in front of a live audience of children, most of them broke out into tears and shouted things like "what's going to happen to him now?" and "don't his mommy and daddy love him anymore?" The children 'reviews' were SO bad, Sesame Street scrapped that storyline entirely. This was a concept their target audience couldn't grasp. I believe the same idea holds true for preteen MLP fans trying to process the 'death' of AJ, Big Mac and AppleBloom's parents.

If I were to make a guess, 'officially' this relationship will remain a mystery, for the sake of the target audience.

Well, actually, going to what you said about Sesame Street, they've dealt with death on Sesame Street before. I recall one of THE BEST episodes of the show having to do with the matter of death. Sure, I'm willing to bet not all kids got it, but I did. And frankly, when written correctly, the subject of death makes for an intense, yet very deep episode for kids.

I'm not sure the crew would wish to tackle such a task, but it's been handled on many shows like it. If they do indeed attempt to say A.J and Big Mac are orphans, I would applaud their effort either way. It's a bold risk, that as I said, even Sesame Street has done well. If they can pull it off, I have no doubt the writers on FiM could...

  11. I've recently been trying to convert my best friend into a Brony. Because of this, I've been sending him episodes over Facebook from their Youtube links.

However, recently I noticed something odd.

After sending him 3 different links for FiM episodes, I've noticed all 3 were removed by "HASBRO".

Apparently, according to one of my online Brony friends, tons of episodes have been taken down recently, all by "HASBRO".

Why am I putting "HASBRO" is parentheses? Well, I believe that this is a troll, or rather a report-abuser taking advantage of the God-awful report system on Youtube. After all, wasn't Hasbro completely behind us supporting the show in this sort of fashion?

I fear, by the end of this year, there may no longer be great-quality episodes of FiM on Youtube. I already can't find every episode of the show on FiM, and last week they were all available...

I don't know what's going on, but I can bet it's not going to turn out well...

  12. I could see Cartoon network airing the show during it's early, or night time block. (6-8PM night time)

or even Nick, but I can't say for sure, nobody can. The show seems to be fit perfectly with the existing shows on Cartoon Network, though.

Outside of the U.S, FiM is actually aired on a few global CN channels.

Not only that, but much of the crew (James Wooten wrote a TON of Ed, Edd, n Eddy episodes, Tara Strong was a voice actress for a bunch of their shows, etc.) has already worked with CN, so I'm sure they wouldn't object...

...Then again, CN is currently too busy drilling themselves into the ground with horseapples to care about quality cartoons...

  13. Hmmm....I really couldn't say I HATE any of the ponies...

However, if I have to choose....Applejack.

BEFORE THE APPLES AND OTHER DEBRIS ARE THROWN...I'll explain...

You see, my problem is that her character...is not shown enough. I'm sure many of the AJ fans will agree when I say she needs more episodes focused on her, or at least episodes that feature her prominently. Shoot, we've seen more episodes about Apple Bloom than her, and Applejack is one of the MANE 6!

I love AJ as a character. I truly do. However, I find her the least likeable because there's not enough development behind her. We know how she got her Cutie Mark, and her passions, and how she feels about her family, but I feel there needs to be more behind her character for me to truly like her character in whole.

Not saying I don't like AJ to any degree. I love her, truly do. However, in grading on development, she ranks low... :/

  14. Round 2 started, in case anyone didn't notice.

Pinkie Pie is against Strawberry Shortcake in Round 2, while Discord is against....someone from G.I. Joe, I suppose.

Discord is currently leading with 93% as of a minute ago, while Pinkie is leading with 90% on her match-up.

C'mon everypony! Let's win this! BREAK OUT THE PARTY CANNONS!
