  1. If so you should be ashamed on it due to the spamming crap Faust is getting on her pages now >/ This is nothing to be proud of.

I'll be perfectly honest by saying that no one except the original troll who created this is at fault here. People spammed because they thought it was legitimate.

Can't blame a fool for being fooled.

  2. (Did anypony else get their first taste of this show from that edited-in Slenderman image from a few months ago from a screenshot of the show?)

I personally haven't watched this show yet, but I REALLY want to. I'm hearing a ton of good things about it, and considering it's Disney Channel, I'd love to support a GOOD Disney Channel show!

  3. Ah, Slendy....what experiences I've had with him.

I got into the Marble Hornets series about 2-3 years ago, before it gained huge notoriety...

    *Hipster glasses*

But now the kids in my school are acting like they're so cool for knowing who the Slender Man is, when he's existed LONGER than Marble Hornets has. He actually originated on the "Something Awful" site. Nobody knows that, however, because Marble Hornets really got it into the mainstream.

I love the whole mythos surrounding Slender Man, whether it be absolutely terrifying or hilarious.

I also like to think that Slender Man inspired The Silence from Doctor Who....a little too much coincidence between the two.

  4. I find myself loving the background ponies' cutie marks because they are the most interesting to look at. Some are intricate, some are simple, some are just jokes in themselves. You could make a whole game out of it if you wanted to!

Personally, best Cutie Mark is Pinkie's. After all, Pinkie Pie IS Best Pony... :D

  5. My good friend and I have always hated PipLuna. She has a rant all about it on DA, but she uses some colorful vocabulary, and gets a little out of control about it, so I won't link.

    I can understand that frustration.

    After all:

Luna is a Goddess-like Princess figure, likely hundreds of thousands of years old.

Pipsqueak is only a few years old.

I don't see how any Brony of any sort of sane or insane state could write that with good intentions.

  6. I tend to find that I don't include Rarity often in fics.

I can agree she's most complex, as her highs and lows come in diversity, and her goals are always changing. Her character is hard to peg, and when writing fanfiction you need to have a definitive character to write for, or else you're firing darts randomly at a board when writing a character.

I personally think the best course of action is to perhaps watch Rarity episodes, like "Sweet and Elite", "Suited for Success" and "Sisterhooves Social", and take notes of her complexity of character. Doing so, you'll realize what you know will work and won't for her character. Dialogue will be challenging, but more often than not it's about basing what you know about the character and how they would react.

It's tough, but sometimes you just need to sit down and study a character before you can write for them. When I was a huge fan of the film "Rio", I had to see the film FIVE TIMES in theaters to fully appreciate and pin the characters down for fanfiction I was writing. Believe it or not, I'm now considered one of the best writers of that particular fandom (Not meaning to toot my horn, simply stating that it DOES work). You just need to take notes, and eventually the character will come into full view.

  7. My dashing assistant Hayden and I trekked to Wal-Mart today, and discovered...THE POSTERS!

I was able to nab the Season 2 cast poster and the "Chaos is Magic" poster, along with a blind bag and the Canterlot Wedding DVD! I'm quite content with our haul!

I do advise that the quality of the DVD is about the same as the Friendship Express DVD. I honestly think it'd be more worth it to just buy an all-Region DVD player and get the Madman Brony Box.

As for the posters...SUPER HAPPY! I will also warn that they WILL NOT let you take them on their own, nor will they let you get four by buying one pony item. You can only get one poster for free per pony merchandise purchase. Anything, like a DVD, Blind Bag or toy counts, so stock your wallets if you intend to get all four...they are WELL worth it, however.

    EDIT:

500 posts! Hope to triple that in the coming months! I love this site and will never leave!

  8. Really? The Hot Topic near me has tons of pony shirts and pony merchandise overall. My cousin actually got a shirt of Derpy in her Nightmare Night costume there, and told me there was a shirt with the Fluttershy yay on it.

Are those things just exclusive to Colorado, or what?

I agree with this state of confusion. My Hot Topic about 10 minutes from me is FULL of pony stuff. I can't glance anywhere without seeing it at mine!

Also, anypony in the tri-state area, WAL-MART PONY POSTERS ARE NOW IN-STOCK!

  9. ^ Your dreams, my nightmares.

Have we ever seen 'mature' themes from this show?

Ehhhh, "mature" is a bad word, perhaps. I like to think the show isn't JUST aimed for little kids at this point, and it seems that Bronies hold he standard a bit higher than other "children's programming", which, as my friend Hayden has pointed out, has turned the demographic that Studio B aims for from little kids to us older audience, while appealing to little kids still.

It's confusing, but the best way I can say it is that they'll have to get her into the writing style that the current staff has acquired, in which it includes shoutouts and general humor that we can get into.

I suppose what I'm trying to say is that Powell's past work, which includes all VERY juvenile shows is what worries me. I'm sure I have nothing to worry about, though.

  10. What I own:

    5 Hot Topic/WeLoveFine shirts

"Friendship Express" DVD - Signed by Andrea Libmann, Tara Strong, John De Lancie and Lauren Faust

    40 FiM Trading Cards

Hot Topic FiM "seat belt" belt

    Cloudsdale Blind Bag set

    Fluttershy plushie (Valued at $575)

    7 Custom prints

My friend Hayden (ChillzMaster on this forum) owns the best piece of all, however. A recording of Tara Strong quoting a line from "APPLE.MOV". It's our most...prize possession, to say the least, xD

  11. The huge amount of children's programming on there worries me in terms that we won't get as "mature"-themed episodes from her.

And the fact that she was on "Bebe's Kids" worries me in the quality department...

...but hey, can't speak for it until we see her episodes.

What I'm really intrigued about is that if she is indeed on the show, that leads to a possibility that another writer may have left during the S2-S3 break...
