  1. En Garde turned to the new pony who had just arrived, she introduced herself as Cheerilee. Her personality sure did seem to match her name as she seemed to carry a feeling of joy with her as she approached. En garde couldn't help but find himself giving a wide grin back to her, "Good morning Cheerilee, my name is En Garde," He put a hoof to his chest, "The reason I'm such a stranger is because I moved her just yesterday." He chuckled lightly, the welcoming was only from two people but it was quite a warm welcoming to say the least.

"You say you're a teacher? Quite a fine line of work if you ask me." He nodded as he spoke. He took a final drink of his coffee, finishing the glass off and setting it back down on the table. "Ah, nothing like a good cup of coffee to get one moving," He laughed again and the laughter faded into a sigh of relief. His eyes drifted up to the sky, looking toward the position of the sun, "Suppose I should finish unpacking," He said as his gaze fell back to the two mares, "It's been a great honor, and pleasure, to meet you miss Mayor, and you as well Cheerilee. Perhaps we shall run into each other again in the future, yes?" He tilted his head as he finished his sentence with another warm smile. "Au revoir!" He called to the two before trotting off. The daunting task ahead of him was just enough to overpower the cheery attitude that Cheerile had given him and he sighed to himself.

(( Sorry for leaving so early, but I'm not entirely sure how active I'll be for the next few days. To be safe, I'll go ahead and pull myself out as not to hold anything up. Ta ta for now! ))

    WELCOME TO CANTERLOT!

I go by CrossStitch on here and by mane other names in many other places that aren't important right now. What IS important though is the fact that you just stepped into a world of friendship and tolerance my friend, a world we like to call Canterlot. We have writers, we have musicians, we have voice actors, animators, artists, you name it! Now YOU are a part of this amazing community and we couldn't be happier to have a new face running around.

Again, welcome to Canterlot! Enjoy your stay!

  5. MLP has done a lot for me actually.

It's caused me to look at friendship in a new way, and it has also caused me to cherish my friends more. It's made me realize how important they all are to me and how much I take their company for granted.

Not only has it influenced my social life, but my hobbies as well. It has gotten me into drawing and it even revived my urge to be a writer. I've wrote several fanfics and I've been practicing drawing every day or so for a week now. It's gotten me into music which in turn got me in to dancing which in turn got me into working out, a long chain reaction I know but nonetheless it stemmed from MLP. I've even admittedly been eating apples more, haha!

In summary, it's helped me a lot as far as I can tell. Honestly, I couldn't be happier with my life.

  6. Cross-Stitch blinked at his new customer with a surprised look plastered on his face. He had never had a pony so specific, so sure of what they wanted, it was almost as if he was ordering his favorite meal at a restaurant. He blinked again, returning his confused look to a warmer one. The outfit that the pony described played through Cross-Stitch's head like a record, he could see it all coming together perfectly. He was sure that this new customer had a very good sense of style.

With a slight nod Cross-Stitch responded to the question, "To not finish such an ensemble with a tie would be an absolute crime against fashion!" He said with a chuckle. He turned from the customer and his mane and tail flared out as he did before settling back into place, "I happen to have a coat that fits your description to a tee!" He said with a wink, that coat was something Cross-Stitch always wanted to try making as he had seen a few ponies in Canterlot wearing them before and the pattern, along with the material, interested him. It wasn't the easiest thing he ever did but he put his heart and soul into it just as he did with every other piece of clothing. On his way to the back of the shop, he also spotted a waistcoat that he had made earlier that would also go perfectly with the coat. "Ah, good thing I'm so prepared," He said to himself with a laugh.

After gathering the coat and waistcoat he trotted back to his new customer with the articles of clothing resting on his back, "Here you are, try these on." Cross-Stitch turned to his side, allowing the pony to retrieve the items, "And what color of tie would you like to go with that ,sir?"

  7. En Garde blinked twice rapidly as his mind began to register what was just dais to him. If he wasn't mistaken, this pony had just stated that she was the mayor of Ponyville. He had no idea what to do in this situation, the closest thing he could fathom to do was to kneel before her as if she was a princess, as that was all that was taught to him as he grew up. He knew that wasn't the method to go about it though, she wasn't royalty, but she sure was an important pony in this town, he was sure of that. Then again, she looked rather friendly to him. She wasn't surrounded by other important ponies like important ponies of Canterlot. No, instead she was alone, having a nice cup of coffee. She seemed so... Normal.

"My name is En Garde, Ms. Mayor," He said, placing a hoof to his chest, "And yes, I'm quite new. I just recently moved from Canterlot yesterday." The more he talked about his recent arrival, the more he thought about the boxes back in his new home which remained packed, he would definitely need to get around to that later. "I must say though, meeting the mayor of Ponyville wasn't exactly on my 'To-Do' list today," He chuckled to himself. The mayor waved to a pony in the distance, and En Garde's reflexes caused him to turn his head, looking to see who the pony is. Of course, there would be no way of him knowing as he knew none of the ponies here save for the mayor who he had just recently met. "And likewise mayor, it's an honor to meet the mayor of such a warm village. Though, the new lifestyle will take some getting used to." Even now he could still feel the aura of Canterlot around him, it made him feel like a sore thumb, a stand-out.

  8. En Garde slowly turned the spoon in his cup, mixing the liquid inside followed by light clinks as the spoon collided with the sides of the glass. A warm breeze rolled through and past him, blowing his mane and tail about ever so slightly causing them to wave with the wind. The breeze felt like that of home now rather then the breeze of a vacation spot. He took a deep breath in with a satisfied look on his face. The air was decorated with many scents; there was the food of the cafe, the coffee, the smell of fresh bread, and of course the scent of flowers carried by the breeze. It was these kind of small-things that made En Garde happy to finally be a citizen of Ponyville.

This was his first morning as an official citizen of Ponyville, and he was spending it as he would in Canterlot with a nice cup of coffee to start his day. He took a slow drink of it, allowing the warmth and caffeine to slowly coax his body to wake up and get active. A short sigh escape him as the cup was lowered back to the table. His eyes were closed, allowing him to concentrate on the noises and scents around him. The sounds of ponies working to set their stalls up, the sounds of the birds whistling and chirping, and even the noise of friendly ponies stopping to talk to complete strangers, all of these sounds were so foreign to him yet they brought him so much joy. "Perhaps I was born in Canterlot, but I am indeed a Ponyville pony at heart," he said to himself as he followed his sentence with a light chuckle.

He noticed a pony reading what seemed to be the newspaper. Being new, he hadn't been added to the route yet and as such was left paper-less for the day. He was only interested in one part though, so he decided to speak up. At first he was a tad nervous, speaking to a stranger was always a bit odd to him. The thoughts of all the friendly ponies around encouraged him though, "Excuse me," he said, his Canterlot accent was still heavy in his voice, "Would you happen to know the weather for the day? I'm a new addition to the town and as such have been left paperless!" He let out another chuckle, trying to sound warm and friendly.

  9. I pretty much agree with DosEquus

It appears his form changes depending on how he chooses to grow up. If he's greedy, he'll grow quickly into a selfish dragon, much like the red on in Dragonshy. If I'm not mistaken, didn't the two even share similar body structures aside from the wings? On the other hand, when he was zapped to instant-adult without any idea of HOW he wanted to live, he seemed to be pretty plain and not menacing at all.

I guess this could also mean that perhaps dragons EVOLVE as to what they need. The red dragon may have grown wings because he needed to travel a lot. Spike enjoys Ponyville and doesn't want to leave, so he needs no mode of transportation.

  10. That familiar jingle again. Already that sound had burnt itself into Cross-Stitch's head. His eyes glanced to the side, spotting the new customer as he entered.

"Un Mummuh lease," Cross-Stitch mumbled before placing the mirror on the ground and raising his head with a nervous smile that was complimented by a bright red on his face. His eyes darted side to side as he laughed nervously, "I mean, one moment please."

Cross-Stitch turned his head to the new colt, fixing whatever the avalanche of junk from earlier may have messed up about his looks. "Ah, there we go..." He said to himself as he straightened his mane up, he cleared his throat and gave the new customer a bright smile, "Welcome to the Perfect Fit! My name is Cross-Stitch, the owner. How may I help you on this lovely evening?" He tilted his head to the side as he finished his question, his mane followed suite and waved lightly as he moved.

  11. To those who keep saying this won't pass:

That's basically the mind-set to have if you want it to pass. If EVERYONE considers it an 'unpassable' thing, then that all puts us in the mind set to not do anything about it considering that it is so ludicrous. We have to be serious about things like this and not just pass them off as impossible because they are very much real, and there is still a chance that any of these could be passed.

  12. I LOVE Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged!

BUT, I also love DBZ abridged. Honestly, I'd have to say my favorite character is either Vegeta or Picolo. I love their attitudes and I love it when Vegeta snaps, particularly the scene where Vegeta finds Gohan and Krillin trying to summon the dragon without him. That scene had me in stitches.

  14. "Ahh, a day with the missus I see." He said with a hearty laugh.

He took a long sip of his tea and let out a sigh of pleasure, "I tell you Colton, nothing like a nice cup of tea in the morning." His eyes were closed but he still had a wide smile on his face, "I'm going to miss this." He said finally, seemingly from nowhere. His eyes were open now, looking down into his cup as the steam rolled up and past his face, caressing it with heat. He felt odd to suddenly change the subject, but it was a subject that was bugging him. He sighed again, blowing the steam away from his face, watching it dissipate into the air. "But...We all have to go out on our own one day, right?"

  15. Cross-Stitch smiled as he watched Inkwell leave. There was just something about artists that reminded him of the good-old-days as he put it. They were always noticeable, always carrying that air of creativity about them.

He laughed to himself about Inkwell's compliment and then turned to Rose, who seemed to be quite flustered about it. "Quite the kidder indeed." He said, adding in a healthier laugh to show he didn't take any of the joke seriously, "To be honest, you have quite the most exquisite form I've seen." He laughed again, and began to move toward the tiki bar. His mind seemed to slap him, wondering if he knew what he just said. As his mind caught up with his mouth, Cross-Stitch became more thankful that the lighting would hide the red on his face.

"Shall we?" He said, gesturing to the empty space beside him so that he could escort Rose.

Artists weren't the only ponies with an aura to them though. There was an aura that Rose herself carried, it warmed the air and seemed to make everything softer. The more time he spent around her, the more he began to grow fond of it. Back in the shop, he felt almost pressured by her. But here, after spending some time with her, he had rather grown accustomed the way she was. He would perhaps even go as far as to say that he was returning the same vibes he felt from her.

  16. He looked Rose over, admiring the hat on her as he usually would with his own creations. He compared the hat to her, tried to blend the two together, seeing if they worked together. he decided that they did, the two complimented each other perfectly in his eyes. He began to realize how his staring could have been taken the wrong way though, and chose to take the question of a mirror as a chance to break away from the moment. "One moment," He said, turning away from Rose.

He walked through a door and into a separate room where he kept some other supplies. It was mostly a storage closet, but it was a good place to take a second to clear his thoughts. 'OK, calm down,' he thought to himself as he looked around for a mirror, 'She's obviously teasing me though,' he argued, he wasn't paying attention and accidentally moved a broom which bumped into a shelf which caused the shelf to fall which dumped a rather large assortment of things onto Cross-Stitch's head. He let out a small groan as he rose from the pile and found a mirror sitting atop the pile of rubbish. He let out a weak chuckle and took the mirror in his mouth, trotting back out to Rose.

He positioned it to where she could carefully inspect herself and the hat as he made a mental note to order some mirrors to hang on the walls.

  17. Gladwin continued on by himself, a bit lost in his own thought. Holly wanted them to go to see his parents first, but he didn't even know where to begin. His eyes looked on, but they registered nothing, his body continued to pull him along though, heading toward the farm in front of them. He heard talking, but his brain refused to acknowledge it.

Would his aunt and uncle know where his parents were? Should they go straight to Talonpolis? He wore a stern gaze as the farm got closer.

Suddenly, his brain began to register something. It was a familiar voice, no it was familiar voices. "Out here...?" Gladwin whispered to himself. He unlatched himself rom the cart and took off at a full speed. "Could they really be out here!?" He picked his pace up. The farm came into view, and so did the ponies he heard talking. "C-...Colton!...Flux!" Gladwin called out as he noticed the two. It had been quite a while since he saw them last. He almost felt like tearing up, but that would have been completely uncool. Instead, he took off galloping again at full speed, running right into Colton and knocking him over, tackling him to the ground.
