  1. As of 1:06 in, I need to say this already: 1. You NEED a better mic. The clarity is very low, and often rings my speakers because of the quality of your audio. If you need a mic / headset recommendation, PM me.

Also, I can already tell you're lacking a script. Just the way you're speaking. Ya'll needs a script.

Will edit this post after I'm done watching.

Well I am planning on a mic real soon, but I first got to up my computer a bit as rendering this puppy took a bit.

And I did have a script but I have a mind that sometimes ignores I do, sorry.

Also i have some verbal tics I cant help.

  2. Today I kick off my new series called The Pony Perspective where I talk about MLP:FiM, its fans, its characters, its episodes and my thoughts on certain things when concerning this series.

I am unsure how long I will run this or how far I will go before I get sick of it but its going to be a bi weekly series, this week will have an episode but not the next week, however on the week after I will do another one.

If I start feeling good about this i might do it weekly I am unsure.

Now this first episode is not going to be a review, but about how I became a fan of this series.

Now warning this may be a little boring but this is my first shot at this sort of thing so I am unsure if I got the right presentation.

This will not be a humor review or anything just some general observations and thoughts.

IF YOU CANT WATCH DUE TO COPYRIGHT CRAP:

I plan on setting up a blip.tv account as this is a review format video but I have not set one up yet and wont until i get requests to do so.

  3. It wasn't planned, AFAIK, but one of the older human cast members, and a prominent one, named Mr. Hooper passed away, and it was decided that instead of letting his character fade into obscurity the best way to honour his legacy was to address it in a lesson.

    Yes i remember that well

You see in the pre red furry annoyance days(Elmo as you younger folks know him) there was a character named Mr. Hooper played by

    Will Lee

who died in 1982 and they had a episode called "Farewell, Mr. Hooper" where they acknowledged his death, though did not show it.

Here is a huge piece of TV history right here:

The fact that this video is already filled with comments about Flim Flam and Cider astounds me XD

Altogether, great episode. I'm beginning to find that their episodes with various allusions to pop culture really shine, and they do it in a subtle enough way that makes it really fun to spot them. XP

Loved Dash's minor breaking of the fourth wall as well. "Is this some kind of sick joke...?" Maybe. XP

I made a pony version of it :D

  5. Am I the only person who's not excited about the third installment? The Dark Knight was just so great that I'm not sure the third installment can top that. One thing I do have to hope for is that the writers remembers what makes tDK actually great is the drama and writing and I just hope the third one doesn't turn into a video game. Unlike the Matrix trilogy...

anyways, great cast so expectations high... not sure if that's a good thing lol

Yeah for me there is no way in heck this will top Dark Knight for me, but I am still looking forward to seeing how this all ends.

I mean Begins was about how Batman became Batman and shook things up in Gotham to make things better.

In Dark Knight it was about how no matter how much good one can do evil will always find a way to ruin things and even the best of heroes can fall.

Rises will obviously be about Batman becoming a hero again but at what cost?

Thematically this film will be weaker then the first two as we already know the theme of the movie just from its title, but its still worth finding out how Batman gets back on the good side of Gotham.

  6. hi hi

I don't see why I shouldn't take it at face value. Its an image of a pony, and they really do have small brains. Its not like they're trying to trick us into thinking ponies have large brains through some kind of reverse psychology.

But like I said I have seen this sort of thing in other cartoons so why this has to be different is beyond me.

Its a common troupe I am aware of and seen a million times before

  7. Sisterhooves social would have still been 99% as good without Sweetie Bell Character Developments,

But you would not have too much of a plot now would you?

Anyhow I know why the CMC exists, they are the characters that the target audience is supposed to relate to even more then the mane 6.

Think of this, the CMC represent that need to find what one is best at in order to find ones place in life and its supposed to be like real young girls their age.

Actually I think its a good thing we have the CMC so we have some variety, though I will admit I wish they would flesh out some of the mane 6 more like Pinkie and Fluttershy, only one has an episode lined up so far and its not Fluttershy.

  8. Personally I dont think Hathaway is that bad, after all I think she was pretty good in The Devil Wears Prada.

Plus people had doubts about Heath Ledger and look how well that turned out.

Agreed. I just....I agree so HARD. They weren't quite

    THIS CAMPY

    medium_BatmanandRobin.jpg

but still.....uggh. Batman isn't supposed to be a COMEDY.

Well to be fair to the Adam West series it was made during a time when comic books were still under scrutiny.

The comic book code had just came into effect and it laid waste to a lot of publications that relied on things like horror comics (heck a lot of indy comic book companies died practically overnight because of it)

The silver age was not the time to do dark stories as comics by then were considered kiddy stuff (much like what animation would be labeled as soon after)

But the Adam West series is a lot of fun, sure he is not the brooding guy with a raspy voice as most know him today but it was a different time and a different era back then.
