  1. I think that yes, sooner or later, all this sub-culture brony stuff will fade away.

What keeps me content is remembering why we're all bronies in the first place, and that's because of the wonderful television series; My Little Pony Friendship is Magic.

And that show will always be there for us to enjoy.

  2. dinky is the purple unicorn with blond hair in the first part of the clip (behind sweetie)

the reason why people think dinky and sparkler are related is because in sisterwhooves social, they participate as sisters. the reason why they think they're related to derpy is because dinky looks like derpy colour scheme-wise

    Hmmm makes sense

  3. So the most recent episode, "Baby Cakes", shows that despite being two earth ponies, suppressed genes can cause their child to be a unicorn or pegasus. In this episode's case, both.

I saw some discussion about how this has resolved the issue of Derpy Hooves' apparent children: Dinky and Sparkler.

Dinky seems to be a pegasus

    Or a Unicorn?

And Sparkler is also a Unicorn

So the point of this thread is to try and clear up some fog. I haven't really been able to find anything making any of them related (except perhaps Dinky's eyes)

    What do you think?

    Does Derpy have children?

EDIT: Oops! Bad grammar! I mean Who ARE Dinky and Sparkler

  4. Community is so important, but it feels counter-cultural somehow. Popular songs are inundated with "I"s and "me"s. Is this why the show was so refreshing before I could even start to explain why it was enjoyable?

Which is better? To be lead into a fulfilling purpose by those you trust most? Or to strike out on your own to find a unique purpose? Or something in the middle?

I would just say that as long as it was fulfilling, it'd be right.

  5. Granny Smith's name must have been something else before.

Otherwise, she was always destined to be a granny, which is kinda weird...

Not to mention how awkward that would be when she was a filly. P:

So, if Granny Smith's original name was allowed to be changed, then I'm sure the names of other ponies could have also been subject to change.

I don't think Granny Smith is necessarily an exception. I could assume the "Smith" part of her name can easily be part of her name, but i assume the "Granny" part of it only came to be after she became a grandmother.

Another possibility is that she has a whole other name and "Granny Smith" is just a nickname given to her by the Apple family.

Or i could be wrong and her name is legitimately Granny Smith. Just something to think about

  6. The CMC grew on me, I love them now, especially Sweetie Belle, and I would definitely love to see more episodes featuring them, but less as crusaders and more as just friends. One of the things I liked a lot about Sisterhooves Social and Lesson Zero and even The Cutie Pox demonstrated that they were friends, and their search for cutie marks was not the only thing that tied them together and that they did other things.

I agree with that. the CMC have interesting personalities, and it'd definitely be interesting to see them in situations other than ones that involve their blank flanks.
