Suprisingly the first thing I ever saw MLP related was the first episode, I can't remember what drew me to it even though I knew it was MLP but I just watched it and the rest is history.

I spotted a set with Twilight, Celestia, and Spike in it, and got all excited because I didn't have Spike yet. Roomie bought it for me because I watched her dog for her the night before. At the checkout, the cashier asked, "Would you like a gift receipt?" In that situation, I would've just said, "Nah, that's fine," and left it at that.

Roommate said, "Why would I need one? She's right here." >.>

I was in exactly the same situation as you, I finally found the courage to tell my most non judging 'friend'.

It has not ended well.

Not trying to put down on everypony's amazing advice here but that was my personal experience. Your friends are probably more accepting than my 'friends'.

So I just had an epinkieny. I'm going to meet one new pony each day while I'm out and about and offer them a piece of candy or gum! Maybe I'll tell them a joke too. It makes me smile just thinking about it!

Talking to the opposite sex. There are other fears that I have but this is the main one and the first one that came to mind when I was reading this forum.

I find it really hard to do anything with the opposite sex :S and although I have nothing against them, I am not a homosexual.
