Looks more Cider Squeezy to me.
And because just looking at a spoiler box is boring, I shall post this:

Ask them what they thought about the last episode, that's a good ice breaker.
-
I love running into bronies. They'll usually get a random hoof or a hug, then much discussion about pony.
You should totally approach that group, OP -- I'd bet you my left wing they would like to see another brony!
-
If you get them to watch most of Season 1, I think it's safe to assume they are terminally infected, and they are probably part of the herd already.
-
It would probably be a straight to DVD release, not because it would suck, but because of the target audience size.
I can't help but think how awesome it would be to watch the midnight showing of a FiM movie with a theater full of enthusiasts, though!
-
Yeah, that is pretty annoying -- but I suppose you could just crop it off if you can't find the unbranded image.
-
While funny, this is completely irrelevant to the topic at hand.
Despite the fact I was being facetious, the whole original basis (and plot device of FiM as a series) was based on Twi's obsession with studying and books, over other activities, such as making friends. This is completely relevant to the topic at hand.

Welcome to the herd here! Cute OC!
-
I couldn't agree with you more, Mojo. There's plenty to be learned from a big brother figure like Big Mac, and it would be within the scope of the series to explore it.
-
Welcome! What are the names of your five cats?
-
You know, I think Twilight has a rather unhealthy obsession with books...
-
I'm actually kind of disappointed that episode never went though.
Big Mac is going to get some love soon, though! Literally! The Hearts and Hooves synopsis got updated.

I'm not a guy, but if I saw you wearing that shirt I'd think you are awesome. I got a bag from welovefine and their printing wasn't very solid. I mean yeah, you can turn it inside out, wash it cold, whatever, but that doesn't change the fact that the print quality is "meh," especially at their prices.
What I will recommend is CustomInk, I've had a pony top made by them and it's much higher quality (not to mention cheaper) and you can design it yourself using vectors from here -- plus the turnaround is much faster. Downside is you won't get all the cool (and possibly pony) junk welovefine ships along with their orders, but eh, it's just junk.

I think you might want to check out the rules/guides posted here on how to make a character. The pony folk here are sticklers for quality in that department (my understanding is they don't really approve of alicorn characters) -- I'm sure you could get some help from the RP staff if you are interested in sharing your character design and ideas.

I wonder, mathematically, how many possible groupings could exist between the mane six? Any mathematicians here want to take a stab?

An Applejack/Celestia body wash? Did it actually have the characters on it or smelled like apples? I'm intrigued as I haven't seen this.
Yeah, it was in a bath set at a local chain around here called Big Lots. The Applejack wash is actually called "Sweet Berry," and does not smell like apples. Celestia's is raspberry. I dunno why they thought Fluttershy would be into cotton candy lip gloss either -- that's totally a Pinkie Pie thing!
-
You up your intake of veggies and...apples.
You check several stores many times to see if they have G4 pony gift wrap, then fangirl squeal when you finally find it.
You buy a bunch of gifts just to use said gift wrap, then give them to your friends. (Sensing a pattern here?)
You have at least one mature-targeted pony merch item -- not necessarily a toy, but buttons, a bag, stickers, or a shirt.
You've found and used the Applejack/Celestia body wash. There's also Fluttershy cotton candy lip gloss. (Oh yes I have.)
You've been to a pony meetup.
You post on a forum like this.

There's a topic in the same vein as this in the Mature forum already under Chit Chat. If you're over 18, I suggest checking it out!

Gorgeous work Brian, thank you much!

I am really enjoying this thread. If your wife really reviled the series, I doubt she'd keep watching it.Thanks for keeping track of all the reaction comments, it's fun to watch the infection process spread. Just be sure to assure your wife that she is much cooler than My Little Pony. I'd want my husband to tell me that. I think pegasister fits well for the older female demographic, though I wouldn't mind being called a brony since the term has sort of evolved into a catch-all term for people that enjoy the series outside the target audience.
Finally, please show your wife this following image. Thanks!

Remember that Ms. Faust originally intended for Celestia's rank to be Queen, but Hasbro wanted her to be a Princess because Princesses sell better than Queens. I'm too lazy at the moment to dig up the information to support this, but I'm sure a few others here can confirm this.
-
More Fluttershy is always awesome, but you don't want to kill a good thing with overuse.
Personally, I think fewer episodes of something really good make it all the better when something new does come along.
This. She has been getting a little face time though. I'd be interested to see her put in a different role besides her normal shy self (or dragon stare-master shy) and deepen her character a bit more. I'm sure that episode will come when the time is right. Don't forget Season 3 is in production right now, too, and there's a lot of episodes to go before we get there!
-
I think they're both background ponies with recycled assets, and there's no rhyme, reason, or intent from the creators of the show to make them related to Derpy in any way -- it's just what is accepted as fanon to the series from the...fans.

Okay then! After drawing up some numbers I was able to do some proper baking today, and I made these! As you can see poor Pinkie is having to pick up after Twilight.
It wasn't difficult to do, though the dough can be a bit tricky to work with. I mixed up the dough, divided it into six pieces equally, then colored each piece individually before chilling it. Now that I know how the dough handles, I should be able to make these a little more consistently. It's hard to see the luster of these with the fuzzy camera shot, but they look neat!
