I love the pic for this character! For some reason, it screams 'Private Detective' to me, like the old Sam Spade type of B&W Private Eye type characters. I also don't really see him doing much in Ponyville directly, but maybe as a travelling player or even perhaps situated in Trottingham? I know we haven't really established a 'Great Opera House' or anything like that, but there's -bound- to be one in Equestria, if not in Canterlot!

Well, considering the American genre of "noir" (as opposed to the French genre) centered around the private eye of the 20's and 30's (think Humphery Bogart in The Maltese Falcon), it makes sense.

I really want to make a pun involving Nurse Joy here, but nothing's coming to mind.

I think we need to get all of the Canterlot dragons in a single RP and hash it out.

Once you get your post count up to 5, that will be alleviated.

Name: Maruthun, "Scales"

Gender: Male

Species: Dragon

Eye Color: Purple.

Physique & Colors: Thin and lanky, but still small for a dragon. Blue scales and a purple crest and spines to match his eyes. His tail is pointed.

Residence: Canterlot

Occupation: Attendent to Orion

Likes: Gems, convenience, parties, racing magazines.

Dislikes: Authority, inconvenience, being called Maruthun.

Character Summary: Maruthun comes from a long line of dragon attendants to ponies, and thus has the same occupation. He was born to two veteran attendants who are strong traditionalists, which is why they named him "Maruthun", meaning "conquerer" in old dragon. However, he detests this name, and insists that he be called "Scales" in any informal scenario.

Scales loves being mischievous, and is often caught trying to pull pranks on others. However, he is very sincere with the people he cares about, especially Orion, and works hard for them. When dealing with authority, he will do what he is told, but only displays a good attitude and does more than required with ponies he likes. He hates being delayed or inconvenienced, always looking for the fastest route. He definitely has a lazy side, though, and can be found reading up on the latest pony racers in his free time. This, however, only shows itself in moderation, as he overall likes his job and will follow directions. He goes everywhere with Astron, being his attendent, and works alongside Astron to fulfill royal duties.

Scales has no real long-term goals for his life. He knows that his lifelong duty is to the prince, and is content with that, since the prince is his good friend. However, he would like to get involved in racing at some point as the manager of a racing pony, to allow him an inside look at the process behind the sport, and to give him special opportunities to see the sport and it's athletes.

Scales is still a teenager, which means he has immature tendencies. Sleeping in, being sarcastic, and showing indifference are all characteristics he displays consistently. However, Astron makes sure that he gets his work done, though to many this is seen as a reversal of roles.

Haha, kind of, I guess! But she focuses just on animal rehabilitation. Fluttershy does all the census and daily care stuff, while Dart only deals with sick or injured animals.

I didn't even realize that I was making an anti-Fluttershy. XD

I just happened to notice that Orange Dart's personality is the antithesis of Fluttershy.

Oh wow that sounds cool I'm just in the chat room and I doubt they even know who I am. And they only seem to notice me when I'm just joking around but they take it seriously sometimes

Though I admit that I sort of agree with you on the furries thing where as I think my furry life and normal life should be two separate things. For me it's just a hobby and not a lifestyle.

But I am glad that a few people here a furry tollarent. I thought there would be more furries, I'm sure there are, but I have yet to meet a fellow one. But I have to agree with you that the extremes are odd to me as well. But I just want to follow up saying you don't have to follow the show after. Just advertising for it. See if anyone bites.

I happen to know Orange Dart is one. But, yeah, the fandom isn't nearly as bad as some people think it is.
