  1. I agree with most all of the above, they must be fairly well known, if not household names. But think back to the first episode: Celestia herself must know them, that's how Twilight met the Mane 6 in the first place, they all had jobs for the Gala.

I can't imagine they could be known by the princess of Equestria, but not the residents of their hometown.

  2. What I will suggest is Celestia seems to be a fair, kind, and wise ruler, and everypony seems to agree with her leadership and decisions. As Davroth suggested, she represents all three types of ponies, so it seems fair to me that she took on the task of raising the sun and moon together during the Nightmare Moon crisis instead of passing the task off to the unicorns (which probably would upset the balance of power).

I agree. A task like raising the sun or moon shouldn't be just put into the hooves of some unicorns. Celestia's far more qualified to do the job, so even if she did train unicorns, the job might not be done as well or efficiently. Not to mention she could be easily overthrown now that it's just her alone and some citizen ponies have her main power...

  3. I agree with a lot of the ponies before me. It's really just a huge over-reaction to something not worth making a fuss over. Derpy was a cute fan-shoutout. It seems like now people will get offended by anything. Almost as if they're trying. In the world of sqeaky-clean political correctness that we live in, it was sort of expected. Honestly though, I'm a bit embarrassed how mad some ponies got. I think it's mature to laugh off something even if you do find it offensive. I love this fandom, but I'm a bit embarrassed as to how Hasbro probably thinks of the community now. We're not fragile piece of glass, we're people!

(Sorry if I got a bit rant-y there. It just bothers me a lot. :? )

  4. I've got Keno-phobia, the fear of empty spaces and voids, some people say its like the opposite of claustrophobia. I'm also scared out of my mind by things that just shouldn't happen, things that don't follow the basic rules of logic, for reference look up some clips of the game LSD on YouTube (Also notice the sky, those are the voids that freak me out) anything along those lines would cause me to drag myself into a corner and just sit there crying (Not if I saw it in the game, but if I saw it in real life) this is coming from a Black Belt keep in mind.

I'm clinically diagnosed with Agoraphobia, and that's sounds a lot like what you're taking about. I can't even think of fields or oceans or open spaces and will go into a full-blown panic attack. I also can't go anywhere where I can't easily hide, eg. airports.

  5. I don’t know if this counts but I used to be on a Halo 3 team about 2 years ago. There were 7 of us, 4 starters and 3 backups. We used to spend most of our time outside of school and sports on it practicing and competing. We did very well but we just never made it past local tournaments. There was one member that started to become obsessed with the game and the whole MLG thing. Let’s call him Herp.

Herp would stay up through the night on school weeks just to play Halo. He was really into the game. He was into being the best(Not sure how to describe it). Anyways, one day we were all playing on LAN(before they banned it) and we were playing a SUPER close game. We lost the series 2-3. Herp grabbed a super valuable vase from his mantle and threw it at the television. It scared us quite a lot. He even picked up a bat and threatened us saying that we didn’t do enough to win. We all removed him from the team and eventually stopped playing all together.

Herp went on to drop out of school just to play the damn game. I never heard much of him after that. Obsession can be a very scary thing.

That's terrifying. I've always been afraid of over-obsession, for reasons just like that. But then, there seems to be multiple levels of obsession. At it's lowest form, obsession with something you really enjoy can make you a happier person. That is, when it doesn't cut terribly into your life. When you start avoiding things you would normally do just to feed your obsession, that's where it gets scary. But, with a reasonable level of it, it might actually make you a healthier person.

  6. How old are the Mane Six? Pinkie has a job, and they all seem to live alone...Then again, Twilight IS still a student of Princess Celestia. Would that be considered collage, or extended education, or are they younger than I think?

Also, how old are the Cutie Mark Crusaders?

  7. About myself.: I play music. Lots of music. Including the tuba. I can also draw, but curiously enough, only ponies. Everything else looks like an ink-soaked spider crawled across the page.

How did you hear about Canterlot.com?: I just stumbled across it after looking for such a website.

How did you became a fan of FiM?: Well...It was curiosity over all the hype. Then I fell in love.

My one favourite main cast pony?: Fluttershy

Hello, herd! I'm new to this site, but not the community. I absolutely adore ponies, and desperately need fellow bronies to vent it all out.

Anyway, I do draw ponies, though I do not have a scanner, and cannot, cannot, CANNOT draw on the computer. If I ever do, I'll take commissions for sure!
